Ron POV:
We had gone all around Hogwarts, finishing sending students back to their houses however hadn't met either Nico, Percy, or Annabeth though we had met up again with Harry. As we toured around the school, we noticed the amount of blood and dead wolf bodies were rapidly increasing. "Blimey," I remarked, passing by another couple of dead bodies. "What help has Dumbledore enlisted? They work quickly,"
"Does it matter?" Malfoy snorted. "They're on our side anyway," We continued walking briefly before encountering a young woman in the hallway. She was wearing a leather jacket and had spiky hair that was as black as her jacket while on her head was a sort of silver circlet, but what confused me was the arrows and bow she carried. "What the-" I began, my fingers on my wand slight tensing. "Who are you?"
"Someone who just help save your school. I'm an ally from...CHB,"
"Lieutenant!" Another young girl who seemed about this person's age came over. She wore silver clothing and had a set of matching arrows and bow. "We killed off the rest in this corridor, we should finish up with the wolves here then continue or else we might lose its trail."
"Agreed,"
I was wide-eyed. "You? You killed all these wolves?! Percy never mentioned anything like this!"
"I'm more curious about the lieutenant part. Is that like a prefect position in your school? I thought Percy said there were counsellors instead," Harry said. "And what's this about a trail? It sounds as if you're hunting something,"
"You certainly have a lot of questions," She said, turning around and walking towards another corridor. "Don't think too much about it. Also, your teachers asked us to tell any students we come across to return to their common rooms. Now that the fight's over, they're just fixing things up and will need to check over the number of students later. If you have questions ask Annabeth, Percy or Nico, they should be back in their common rooms as well. They can answer it, it's the same thing for your inquiries about our...school...for magic,"
We headed back to the common rooms as she said, and did see everything in order. From glancing around the room, I could tell that most of the Gryffindors who weren't sick were all inside, among them, Percy chatted lightly to another Gryffindor. "Oh yeah, things are settled out there. Professor Dumbledore got the help of a few centaurs, but I'm not sure if they'll help next time. Oh! Hey Harry, hey Ron, you're back,"
"What in Merlin's name is going on with your school?" I asked, straightforwardly. "We encountered your friend, and she said something about a trail or something like that? And they killed most of the wolves with the arrows they carried with them randomly?"
"Oh that," Percy replied calmly with a smile. "I got close with Mrs. O'Leary from Hagrid's class, so from what I knew about hellhounds, I sent her to try and get Thalia's help. Well, I already told you about how CHB has cabins instead of houses, and one of the cabins is Cabin number 8. They don't stay at school, but rather travel around. Lucky for us they were in England. At CHB we also have this mandatory class called Physical Skills & Battling Aspects class,"
"Physical Skills & Battling Aspects class?" What sort of name was that? It seemed like something randomly made up on the spot.
"Yeah. At CHB, our teachers want us to be prepared for scenarios where we might not have a wand,"
"So they teach you to use bow and arrows?!" I asked, then recounted what Percy mentioned at the start of the duelling club. "Is this where you got the idea of duelling with swords, and daggers, and spears?"
Effortlessly, as if our conversation was already scripted ahead of time, Percy again answered with ease. "Yeah. It's a really important class,"
"What kind of wizard or witch doesn't have their wand on them though?" Another Gryffindor asked. "As long as you carry it, you won't need what you learn in that class, right?"
"Eh," Percy said, shrugging his shoulder. "I'm not the headmaster,"
"Wait," Said a young fourth-year student. "Does that mean you can use swords, spears, daggers, a bow and arrows? Or even more?"
"Well, I'm not very good at every single weapon, but I think I'm pretty good at using a sword."
"Why did that other girl call your friend lieutenant?" Harry asked. "I thought you had counsellors."
"Every cabin is different. Likewise, Cabin 8 has a lieutenant instead of a counsellor. Oh yeah, that reminds me, later, I have to see Dumbledore,"
"Again?" Harry asked.
"Yeah, it's not anything too bad, but one of the headmasters at CHB, Mr. Brunner, he and Dumbledore have been contacting a lot to check up on how things are going over here."
"This is weird," A seventh-year girl said. "I'm a little concerned. So far there haven't been many signs of a wizarding enemy returning. The minotaur, the veela-things, the werewolves, it gives me some hints of a dark wizard or witch, but what if it's worse?" Her words caused silence to erupt, a tension so thick filling the common room. Suddenly, a friend at her side gave her a light smack then scolded her. "What's with these feelings of apprehension? Y-You-know-who is gone! Besides, Dumbledore is back. Is there anyone that can stand up to us?"
At this, the seventh-year girl turned to Harry, her eyes moist, and voice trembling. "H-He's gone, right?" Rather than say it was a question it could be a plead for Harry to give her words of comfort, and a way to let her put her confidence in something.
"Of course," I stated. "He's gone," I looked to Harry who nodded next to me.
"See," Her friend continued. "Besides, we defeated them twice—we can do it again!"
