Sadie's pov
C'mon, pick up Carter. Pick UP.
Sadie was pacing back and forth in her room holding a normal phone to ear. All kinds of frenzied thoughts were going through her mind. Normally, she just handled things on her own with some help from Walt and Jaz or directly eliminate the threat by attacking but this was something she and Carter had agreed to keep to themselves.
The monster that Walt described felt a lot like it was a Greek monster. Sadie and Carter had had adventures with two Greek demigods - Percy and Annabeth to defeat Setne. After they had defeated him, the four had all agreed to not mess with the other world and not inform anybody else of the other's existence as they had all seen the destructive power Setne had when mixed the Egyptian and Greek cultures.
Usually, she'd just kick the mystery guy out the second he wakes up so as to not get tangled in something unnecessary. But what if he was one of those demigods to warn them about some impending doom that involves them because with her luck that is exactly what will happen or what if something happened to Percy or Annabeth. That would be a shame because she had come to like them.
"Ugh Sadie, just stop thinking about it so much. You can just the mystery guy who or what he is after he wakes up." Sadie reprimanded herself.
"Uh, hello?" Carter's tired voice spoke from the phone. Sadie sighed exasperatedly, "Finally! Carter, learn to pick up your phone faster."
"What was I supposed to do? I was in a meeting with Amos about a few things," he said defensively.
"Yeah, Yeah, whatever. Listen I have a little problem here at Brooklyn House. There could possibly be a Greek demigod unconscious in the infirmary with an enchanted hood on so that nobody can see his face." Sadie said all in a single breath.
"What did you do to him, Sadie?
"I didn't do anything. Why do you always assume that?" She muttered that last part. "Jaz said that it was exhaustion and he poisoned by the monster he was fighting."
"Okay." He took a deep breath. "I'll be there tomorrow. There are some things, I need to care of today. Besides, it must be night there already. See you soon, Sadie."
"See ya" The call came to an end.
Her room's door banged open. Walt came in panting. "The...guy. He's...awake."
As soon as she heard those words. She grabbed Walt's wrist and dragged him back down to the infirmary. She opened the door and there he was sitting up. His hooded head-turning in all directions to possibly find out where he is. Sadie took an attack stance and brought out her ivory wand threateningly.
"Who are you? Are you a magician?"
He held his hands up in surrender when he saw her wand pointed at him. "Woah, Woah Sadie. I am not here cause trouble." His voice sounded familiar.
He knew her name. "How do you know my name?"
He put his hand on his heart in mock hurt. "I am hurt you don't remember me. I wonder if Carter does." His last words were soft but she heard them. She looked at Walt. He looked as confused as she felt.
Then in one swipe, the mystery pulled down his hood to reveal raven black hair, sea-green eyes, and a smirk on his face. Sadie dropped her wand in surprise and gasped.
"Percy?!"
