A/N: A few months early, but that's just how I roll.

"Happy Father's Day," Kensi announced in a sing-song voice, bringing Deeks out of a drowsy sleep. He rolled onto his side, peeking out of one eye.

She stood at the side of the bed, a long tray held between her hands.

"What's this?" His voice was hoarse with remnants of sleep.

"I made you breakfast." Kensi lifted the tray, jostling a couple dishes. "Scooch." Deeks moved to the center of the bed, still a little confused as Kensi set the tray over his lap and then climbed up beside him.

The tray was nicely laid out with an assortment of toast, waffles, syrup, jelly, fresh fruit, and drinks. Realizing Kensi was watching him expectantly, he popped a piece of strawberry in his mouth.

"What's the special occasion?" he asked as Kensi settled against his side.

"I told you, it's Father's Day," she said as though it explained everything.

"This looks delicious and I appreciate the thought, but I'm not exactly a father," Deeks pointed out. Kensi inclined her head, busily buttering a piece of toast and then spreading strawberry jelly on it before she handed it to him.

"No…not yet," she agreed. Something about the way she lingered on the last word made Deeks look up. He scrutinized her as she glanced up at him under her eyelashes, her lips pressed tightly together. She'd started preparing a waffle now, keeping her hands busy.

"Kens…?"

"Deeks." And even with her head tilted down, he could see the hint of a grin.

"Kensi, are you-are we pregnant?" he asked, mouth suddenly dry and the toast hanging limply in his hand. "Kens?" She kept him waiting another few seconds before she responded by pulling a pregnancy stick from her pocket.

"Two lines," she said, her voice shaking slightly as she held it out for Deeks to say. Deeks stared at, speechless for a moment, and then glanced back up at Kensi. She had the biggest grin he'd ever seen and he pulled her into his arms.

"Oh my god."

"I know." Kensi wrapped her arms tightly around him, clinging to him. "I actually took three tests just to be sure."

"And you decided the best way to tell me was by making every food you know how to cook," he teased, pulling back a little. It was slightly awkward with the tray still on his lap, but there was no way in hell he was letting go yet.

"After all this time trying, I couldn't just tell you any old way," Kensi said reasonably. Smiling, she ran her thumb across his jaw and leaned in to kiss him.

"Do you have any idea how happy I am right now?" Deeks whispered, resting his forehead against Kensi's. After all this time he could barely believe this wasn't a dream. Kensi simply nodded, her expression saying it all.

They held each other long enough for the waffles to get a little hard and the coffee cold. They ate it anyway, shoving bits of syrup soaked waffle into each other's mouths as they planned for a new, exciting future.
