Author's Note:

This is a request from PYBooks543. I kinda wrote it as a superhero AU, and Percy and Annabeth as good friends, but not dating. Also, Percy is like, five years older than Sadie, so this takes place when they're both in their twenties, because it's gross otherwise.

Also, I tried to find some Persadie fics to get a feel for their dynamic, but there were like, six, and basically all of them were super long and I didn't want to dig through them to actually find the ship chapters….so….here we are.

My S/O is real!

"Ha ha. You're hilarious." Percy said, rolling his eyes. "What time is it?"

Annabeth checked her watch. "Quarter to five."

"My god, just say it normally."

"Four forty-five. Why?"

"I'm meeting my girlfriend at five. I should go."

"Of course. Your totally real girlfriend."

"She is real, thank you very much."

"Then why haven't I met her? Come one, we tell each other everything! You don't have to pretend to have a girlfriend."

"I know, Annabeth. That's why I'm not."

"So then how did you meet? What does she look like? Her birthday? Where's she from? Percy, what's her name?"

Percy hesitated. "I can't tell you," he answered. For the most part, it was an honest answer too. He could only have truthfully answered three of the five questions, because he didn't actually know the answers to all of her questions.

"And that's why I don't believe she's real. But if you need to go, then go."

The best friends said good-bye. As Percy walked down the street, he found his way into the conveniently poorly lit alley. He yanked off one of the beads from his necklace, the purple one, and swallowed it whole. He didn't understand how it worked, but he knew that the enhancements they had done to his body would activate when he swallowed this or that bead. The purple one increased his speed. He took off the yellow and red ones, and swallowed them too, increasing his coordination and strength respectively.

He climbed the fire escape, and dug out his mask. Better to be seen as one of New York's guardians then as himself jumping around. With a running start, he leaped from rooftop to rooftop. The increased strength ensured he didn't hurt himself on the landing, and made him capable of such a jump to begin with, and the coordination was essential when travelling as fast as he was. Within a few minutes, he made it to his destination. He dropped into another alley and removed his mask. The enhancements were already fading - he'd only ingested a relatively small amount to begin with.

Percy made his way into the restaurant and got a table. A few minutes later, a woman joined him. She had blonde hair, but the ends were purple. She didn't look any less like a hero than she did when Percy normally saw her, with her signature black leather boots and jacket, although the shirt she had on underneath matched the purple of her hair.

He rose to greet her, kissing her before they sat down.

"What have you been up to since I last saw you?"

She rolled her eyes. "Same as always. Taking out the bad guys and looking great doing it."

"True enough."

"Oh, stop ogling. We can get to that part later."

"What - I wasn't - god Sadie!"

She laughed and picked up her menu. "Have you ordered anything yet?"

"Not yet."

The waiter came and took their orders. After we left, Percy asked a question he had been itching to.

"Sadie, when's your birthday?"

"Why?"

"My friend doesn't think you're real, so she started throwing questions at me. And it occurred to me that we don't know...anything about each other. Besides the fact that we're both sUpeRhErOeS."

She rolled her eyes. "Maybe it's better that way. But for what it's worth, March seventeenth. You?"

"August eighteenth."

They continued to chat about nothing important, considering their work as heroes didn't allow them to divulge much information. Their food came at some point, and they finished their dinner before going for a walk in Central Park.

They held hands as they meandered around. "You know, my brother doesn't think you're real either."

"Wha'do you mean?"

"When you asked my birthday at dinner. You said your friend didn't think I was real."

"What I'm getting from that is that you have a brother. Which I am only learning now, even though we've been dating for months."

"Yeah. I guess we really don't tell each other anything. Maybe it's better that way. The baddies can't get to us then."

"If you don't want to, we don't have to."

"Nah. What do we have to lose?"

"Besides everything, you mean."

Sadie looked up at him. "Except you. And that's enough for me."

Their lips met, and honestly, Percy didn't even care about the number of people he'd had to fight. Being a hero was worth it, if it meant meeting Sadie.

Here I am with the shout-outs!

Um, shout-out to you. Yes you, for being patient with me for not posting yesterday.

Shout-out to Taaaylaaa for favoriting and following, and to kalisfandomstories1004 for following

LilBumkin - Thank you! I thought I was being clever, and it's literally the best feeling ever when someone affirms that. Was...was that noice a Brooklyn 99 reference?

Go! Go sleep, if you're reviewing that quickly after I post, you should be sleeping! I know I'm being a hypocrite, but I'll take the L for the crappy sleep schedule, you sleep! Shoo!

Guest I Guess - oooooooh. You're over here like, "Wholesome?" and I'm like, "Got it, I understand what you're saying, petty pranks." They're so dysfunctional! It makes it SO FRICKING FUN to write though. That's true as too the TikToks part though, but I mostly just watch the compilations of Youtube, because...I don't know, it's just easier I guess.

kalisfandomstories1004 - Hey! I remember you! It's good to see you again! Thank you so much, and yeah, while they won't be a part of Fic-mas, any requests that are within my guidelines are added to the list.

LilBumkin (again) - Yeah, it's called Camp Half-Blood: A New Generation (CHB: ANG) and it's a post-canon fic (excluding ToN because I started it before then and haven't read it yet) about five heroes who have no idea what they're doing, or even how to get along, but have to figure out how to save the world, with some help and guidance from the now fifty years older Heroes of Olympus. I think I referenced it in the super meta chapter? Anyway, it's a fun time over there, and there's a better summary on my profile. But what I was working on for it were some companion chapters that explain what happened to Uncle Rick's characters in that space of fifty years.
