A Serious Situation

"Ya sure you wanna do this," Hellboy asked, staring at the teen from across the table.

Xavier nodded. "I've got this," he replied.

"Okay… Liz, Abe? Ya both ready?"

"Of course," the other two agents replied.

"Then let's get this started," the teen said, closing his eyes as he started to transform. Half a minute later, his Minotaur self knelt in front of the table, breathing heavily and stretching his arms out.

"You're goin' down, little man," he, grinning at the half-demon agent. "I'm gonna crush you like a bug!"

"Don't get your horns twisted out of joint," Hellboy replied, stretching out his own arms. When both were ready, they grabbed each others hands, setting up their arms for an arm wrestling match.

"You both know the rules," Abe reminded them. "First to pin the other person's hand wins. Best two out of-"

"Shut up, fish face, let's get this over with," the Minotaur snapped. "I'm gonna mop the floor with this guy!"

"We'll see," Hellboy retorted.

"Ready," Liz said as the two combatants stared one another down. "Set… Go!"

Hellboy and the Minotaur both flinched, now trying to push the other one's arm down to the side. While Xavier had more muscles, Hellboy had the Right Hand of Doom, making it awkward as both tried to keep the other from pinning their arm. After twenty seconds of no movement, the two were starting to sweat.

"Give up yet," Hellboy asked.

"Not… a chance," the Minotaur said through gritted teeth, finally starting to push Hellboy's arm down. The half-demon tried to keep his arm from failing, but eventually, he found it pinned down.

"YES!" Xavier roared happily, flipping the table as his cheers echoed around the empty training room. "I WON! I'M THE BEST; I BEAT HELLBOY! WHOOO!"

"There's still two more rounds to see who wins," Abe Sapien spoke up, but the Minotaur ignored him, now running a victory lap around the room.

"Let him have his moment," Hellboy said, wincing a little as he flexed his sore arm. "I'm in no hurry to arm wrestle anytime soon."

"I hope your arm isn't hurt that bad," Liz said, walking over to him.

"Well, an ice pack probably wouldn't-"

"Because I believe you owe me ten dollars, and I want to make sure you can open your wallet," the woman finished, smirking at him and holding out her hand. Glaring at her, the half-demon agent dug his wallet out of his pocket, muttering under his breath as Xavier continued to whoop and cheer behind him.
