WWE Armageddon was live at the TD Waterhouse Centre in Orlando, Florida. In the opening match, Booker T faced Mark Henry. Henry controlled most of the match, as he was able to execute a spinebuster and apply various submission holds on Booker. Booker executed a scissors kick to win.
Next, Rob Van Dam defended the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Randy Orton with Mick Foley as special guest referee. The match contained many notable spots, including an elevated spike DDT by Orton on Van Dam, and a rolling thunder by Van Dam. Ric Flair, who accompanied Orton, attempted to interfere many times but was stopped by Foley. Orton pinned Van Dam after an RKO to win the match and the championship.
In an Intergender tag team match billed as the "Battle of the Sexes", Chris Jericho and Christian faced off against Trish Stratus and Lita. The match went back and forth, as each team was able to gain the advantage. In the end, Christian pinned Stratus with a roll-up to win the match for himself and Jericho.
After this, Shawn Michaels wrestled Batista. Near the end of the match, Batista executed a series of spinebusters on Michaels and attempted a powerbomb but Michaels escaped the attempt and executed a Superkick and pinned Batista. However, replays showed that Batista's shoulder was up, while Michaels was the one who had his shoulders on the mat. Batista initially believed that he had won the match.
Next, Maven and Matt Hardy came out for their scheduled match but attacked one another outside the ring. Hardy threw Maven into the ring, where a furious Batista attacked Maven and executed a powerbomb. As Maven could not compete, the referee cancelled his match against Hardy.
A Tag Team Turmoil match for the World Tag Team Championship followed. Two of the overall seven teams started the match, with another team entering the match once one was eliminated. Hurricane and Rosey started the match against La Résistance (Robért Conway and René Duprée). Hurricane eliminated La Résistance after pinning Conway following a Super Hero Splash. Seconds after the elimination, Mark Jindrak came into the ring and rolled up Hurricane to eliminate him and Rosey. Jindrak and Garrison Cade then faced off against the team of Val Venis and Lance Storm. While Venis was performing a vertical suplex attempt on Jindrak, Cade clipped Venis's legs, which in turn caused Jindrak to fall atop of Venis, scoring a pinfall for his team. The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley) then eliminated Jindrak and Cade and the team of Test and Scott Steiner. General Manager Eric Bischoff, however, introduced Ric Flair and Batista as the seventh and final team to compete. Flair and Batista eliminated the Dudleys to win the match and begin their first reign as World Tag Team Champions.
Next, WWE Women's Champion Molly Holly defended her title against Ivory. Holly pinned Ivory while holding onto her tights for extra leverage to win the match and retain the title
Next up was the Main Event for the World Heavyweight Championship.
In the arena, Kane's pyro goes off and his theme plays. The Big Red Monster comes out with a glare on his face, determined to win the World Heavyweight Championship tonight from his brother.
Kane enters the ring over the top rope and does his turnbuckle pyro motion before his theme dies down and soon Triple H's hits next and the Cerebral Assassin comes out with a cold glare on his face as he marches towards the ring, rolling in and staring down Kane who stares back with a glare just as cold as Triple H's.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
The Devil's Wolf plays to a loud reaction, despite being a Heel, and the lights dim to a blood red and out comes the Bladewolf with the World Heavyweight Championship around his waist, making his way down the ramp to the ring.
He climbs onto the ring apron and goes over the rope. He takes off his metallic mask and dumps it outside along with his jacket before he hands his title to the referee as his theme dies down. The referee raises the title to show it is on the line tonight, hands it to someone at ringside, then calls for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Right out of the gate, Bladewolf and Kane go for Triple H. The brothers wanting to take out Triple H before they can focus on each other. Kane and Bladewolf stomp away on Triple H in the corner, viciously assaulting him. Bladewolf lands a few hard lefts and rights then an elbow to the side of the head before he backs up as Kane runs and hits a turnbuckle clothesline, then lifts Triple H up and hits a sideslam, allowing Bladewolf to rebound off the ropes and hit a leg drop across the throat of Triple H.
Bladewolf got to his feet as Kane rebounds off the ropes and hits a running elbow drop on Triple H. Bladewolf picks Triple H up and holds his arms back, allowing Kane to land a fury of rights to the head of Triple H before Bladewolf pushes Triple H forward and Kane grabs the Cerebral Assassin by the throat, then Bladewolf does the same. Both brothers lift Triple H up...AND PLANT HIM WITH A DOUBLE CHOKESLAM!
Bladewolf kicks Triple H out of the ring before Kane attacks him from behind, forcing Bladewolf to cover up as he was brought into the corner, Kane not stopping his assault.
Bladewolf was barely fazed by the blows as he knees Kane in the ribs, then uppercuts Kane, causing him to fall back onto a knee but he quickly gets to his feet and turns around into a clothesline by his brother. Bladewolf rebounds off the ropes and hits a running elbow drop on Kane's chest, hooking the leg but Kane kicks out at two. Bladewolf gets to his feet, grabs Kane and drives him into the corner where the Demon Wolf unloads with a fury of lefts and rights to the stomach of Kane then headbutts his brother before pulling him forward into a headlock...AND NAILS THE DDT!
Bladewolf gets to his feet, flipping his hair back as he watches Kane roll out the ring and so he follows him. Bladewolf picks up a steel chair since there are no DQs in Triple Threat matches. Kane turns around...INTO A CHAIR SHOT TO THE SKULL!
Bladewolf smacks the chair off Kane time and time again until he couldn't use the chair anymore due to the dents and tossed it aside. He watches Kane groan on the floor before Triple H delivers a blow from behind, the Game trying to overwhelm and keep the upper hand over the World Heavyweight Champion who turns and uppercuts Triple H then tosses him over the RAW announce table.
Bladewolf looks between Triple H and Kane and grabs Kane..AND SENDS HIM HEADFIRST INTO THE STEEL RING POST! Bladewolf turns back to Triple and grabs him, pulling him over the announce table and Irish whips him into the barricade, causing Triple H to yell in pain. Bladewolf walks over and stomps away on Triple H's chest before he picks him up and bounces Triple H's skull off the barricade...WHEN KANE HITS HIM FROM BEHIND WITH A STEEL CHAIR!
But the chair had no effect at all as Bladewolf whirls around and goes for a hard right which Kane blocks and nails an uppercut that only made Bladewolf lean against the barricade before he boots Kane in the stomach, then knees him in the side of the head before dropping a right forearm across his back. Bladewolf goes to grab Kane again but Triple H wraps in a sleeper hold from behind, allowing Kane to kick and punch Bladewolf in the gut as he tries fighting both Triple H and Kane off.
Triple H releases Bladewolf as Kane goes for a clothesline but Bladewolf ducks, causing Kane to nail Triple H with the clothesline before Kane was tackled into the barricade hard. Bladewolf grabs Kane by the head and starts bashing Kane's head off the barricade repeatedly before he tosses Kane back into the ring and then focus on Triple H who was getting to his feet from the clothesline.
Bladewolf walks over and grabs Triple H, tossing him into the RAW announce table, then bashes Triple H's head off it time and time again, sending him down. Bladewolf then picks Triple H up, grabs him by the throat before lifting him up...AND CHOKESLAMS HIM THROUGH THE TABLE!
Bladewolf sees Kane starting to get to his feet and so he grabs another steel chair and slides into the ring, watching Kane who turns around...AND DUCKS THE CHAIR SHOT! Bladewolf turns only to be grabbed by the throat, lifted up...AND PLANTED WITH A CHOKESLAM! HE HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THR-! BLADEWOLF KICKS OUT AT TWO!
Kane gets to his feet and does the cutthroat taunt before he grabs Bladewolf and lifts him up for the Chokeslam but Bladewolf overpowers Kane and...REVERES IT INTO A TOMBSTONE OF HIS OWN! HE HITS THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!
Bladewolf gets to his feet and flips his hair back, about to do more when Triple H comes in from behind, grabs Bladewolf and tosses him over the ropes and coverd Kane! ONE! TWO! THREE! TRIPLE H IS THE NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Triple H's theme plays as the Game celebrates his win by pinning the other challenger not the Champion. Bladewolf stands up and watches Triple H grab the World Heavyweight Title and celebrating his win. Bladewolf slides in and Triple H turns...INTO A GOOZLE! Bladewolf lfits Triple H up...AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!
Bladewolf silently leaves after that, he was not pinned or submitted but he is not the Champion anymore...
And that's it for Armageddon, Bladewolf's first World Heavyweight Championship reign ends at 76 days.
