Gyro quickly caught B.O.Y.D before he plunged himself into the volcano.
"It's alright!" He told him as B.O.Y.D tried to break free. "That Scrooge was just a clone!" He assured him.
"A, A clone?" B.O.Y.D choked out.
"Yes. A clone. I could tell the moment I stepped foot in the mansion. Something was a bit off about Scrooge, then, though..." Gyro said, looking back into the volcano as the last of the cloned Scrooge disappeared into the lava. "This one behaved a bit too much like the old Scrooge." Gyro added, then frowned.
Was that F.O.W.L's plan?
To rid the McDuck family by replacing Scrooge with a clone of himself, and if that was the case, where was the real Scrooge?
Gyro could tell it hadn't been the real Scrooge because he glitched a bit. Sort of like how B.O.Y.D glitched when he malfunctioned. Gyro saw it in the clones eyes. Which is how he knew it wasn't the real Scrooge.
Gyro glanced down from the volcano and saw that Jose and Panchito was being corner by Falcon Graves and his two goons.
"B.O.Y.D." Gyro said, urgently, he knelt down in front of him and looked him in the eyes. "You think you can take us down there so we can help our friends?" He asked, putting a warm hand on B.O.Y.D's metal shoulder.
B.O.Y.D glanced down then back up at Gyro.
"I, I don't know -. Black Heron -. She, she told me something about Huey, and, I -. I don't think -." B.O.Y.D stammered.
Gyro stared at the boy bot and gave him a warm smile.
So,
That was it.
B.O.Y.D was worried for his friend.
Which, Gyro completely support, and approve of.
The boy needed friends in his life. Real or not. B.O.Y.D existed, and if you exist, you need to exist for your friends, as well as your family.
"Look," Gyro said, "we aren't doing Huey any favors if you just freeze at the very mention of him being in harms way, you need to stay focused and have us figure away out of this, then, we can help Huey. Okay?" Gyro told him as gently as he could.
"O,Okay." B.O.Y.D whispered.
"Good. Now. Activate, rocket boots." Gyro commanded, with a grin.
B.O.Y.D nodded, and kicked them on.
"That's my boy." Gyro said, beaming at him. B.O.Y.D held out his hand to Gyro and Gyro grabbed it and as B.O.Y.D carried both of them down, torpedoed both Graves, and his two goons with his laser vision, causing them to go blind and having Jose and Panchito kick them roughly into the once carnivorous plants nesting ground.
Suddenly, out of no where, the same plant popped up and gobbled Graves, and the two goons in one bite, then snaked back into the ground, and out of sight.
"Okay. That was..." Jose began, staring at the place the plant had just been.
"Dangerous?" Panchito suggested.
"More like...Awesome!" B.O.Y.D pointed out excitedly. "What was that?" He asked.
"Something we came across with before." Panchito told him, making a sour face at the memory, then, looked around, "Um. Where's -." He began.
"That Scrooge was a clone." Gyro informed them. "He fell into the lava."
Panchito and Jose stared at him.
"A clone?!" They exclaimed at the same time.
Gyro sighed.
How many times was he going to have to explain this?
"I'll explain more once we get out of here." He looked around has the realization just hit him. "How, are we going to get out of here?" He asked, irritably.
Jose was about to answer when his phone rang.
"Hello? Oi, Donald!" Jose gushed out. "Yeah, um. Sure -? But care to give us a lift first?" Jose asked sheepishly. "Where -?" He glanced around at the three in front of him before answering. "The same place we fought that carnivorous plant last time -. Yeah. That's the place. See you then." He hung up the phone. "Donald's gonna swing by with Launchpad and Penny on our way to save Della." He announced.
Gyro groaned.
Great. Just what he needed.
More adventure...
MEANWHILE.
Louie was having a hard time concentrating on what he was doing. Getting the family out, Gandra, and Webby all at the same time, before the bombs went off. He had no idea how he was going to focus on that while his mind was hacked up on whatever Doofus drugged him with (after hearing what had happened with his nervous system from Gandra) Louie was sure to give Doofus a good ass kicking after he rescues Lena.
"Come on, this way!" Louie grunted at the others, he pulled Dewey by the sleeve around the corner, he skidded to a stop when Bradford stood in their way, glaring daggers at all four of them. "Damn it." Louie grumbled. He cocked the gun in his hand and got ready to shoot him when Louie's cell buzzed.
He groaned in frustration and took it out of his jacket and glanced down at it.
Leave Him! You got bigger things to worry about.Llewellyn.
How was Doofus seeing all this?
"Better do as your boss says, Llewellyn." Bradford said, with a sneer.
Louie looked up at him sharply.
Bradford knew about -?
"Yes. I know about you and Doofus." Bradford told him. "He's been a cleaver little devil lately hasn't he? Even offered to give me a heads up on Della and how we can use her for our advantage." Bradford continued.
Louie narrowed his eyes at him.
"Louie. What's he talking about?" Dewey whispered at him. He edged closer to Webby and his Mom, while not taking his eyes off Bradford. His own gun was hidden behind him, ready to fire, in case Louie somehow couldn't.
Louie darted his head from side to side.
No.
This couldn't be happening.
Was Doofus the whole reason all this happened in the first place?
"After Doofus filled us in on Webby's grandmother -." Bradford continued, a low growl escaped Dewey's throat at the mention of Webby's name escaping from the buzzard's mouth. "We just had to find someone gullible to kill her so she wouldn't spill out our secrets." Bradford hissed at him.
Louie and Dewey both stared at him.
"Wait -." Dewey said, "A double agent killed Mrs. Beakly. One who worked for both S.H.U.S.H and F.O.W.L -."
Bradford smile widen.
Louie glanced around nervously. Bradford was stalling for something, what, though, Louie didn't know. But they had to get out of the building, it was only a matter of time...
Doofus.
He was probably getting more angrier by the minute and the longer Louie waited...
"Just cut the small talk!" Louie shouted at him making Della, Webby, and Dewey stare at him. Bradford just looked at him with that smug smile. "Why don't you just tell us who killed Mrs. Beakly, and go to hell already?" He snapped at him.
"I believe Webby already knows who killed her. Don't you dear?" Bradford asked, ignoring both him and Louie. Webby choked back a sob as tears filled her eyes. She buried her face in Dewey's shoulder as Dewey held her by her waist and pulled her closer to him. "It, It was Falcon Graves." Webby whispered in his ear.
Dewey's head swarm with a million questions.
Falcon Graves?
He killed Mrs. Beakly?
"Falcon Graves." Bradford said a bit more loudly for the rest to hear. "Hired him to kill her off, she knew too much, even kidnapped poor Webbigail here away from her own mother. Falcon was all too happy to take on the job. Getting back at Dewford with the help from Agent Toxic was just a bonus for him." Bradford finished.
Dewey blinked back tears that were threatening to fall from his eyes. He didn't deserve to cry. Not when everything was his fault.
Louie glanced back at his brother. He could tell he was on the verge of tears but wasn't willing to let it show. No. He'll have plenty of time to answer for himself once Louie got them all out of here. He saw Gandra out of the corner of his eye pull something out from her jeans pocket.
A flash bomb.
Louie remembered those from back when they were kids and Dewey and Webby had to get the part of the Swanstantine from her. She looked over at Louie, gave him a quick nod. Louie nodded back, shielded Dewey, Webby, Della and himself before Gandra suddenly tossed the bomb towards Bradford.
Bradford yelled out as the flash erupted from the bomb, blinding him.
"Come on!" Louie shouted at them and pushed them forward and way from Bradford just as he pressed the button and the first of the bombs when off.
