I just wanted to thank you guys again for your reviews and I'm so glad that you are enjoying this story. The date of this chapter is June 28th. The chapter is mostly light hearted. Enjoy!
Jane woke up the next morning to find Maura just looking at her, observing her. "Maura, why are you staring at me for?"
"I watch you when you sleep sometimes, I just like admiring your beauty in the morning. Your messy bed hair, how sometimes you have drool on your face," Maura brushed her thumb against the corner of Jane's mouth. "See. You look even more radiant today though, do you know why?" she questioned and Jane shook her head.
"No, but I'm sure that you're going to inform me on the why," she smirked, sitting up slightly, it was hard when Maura was straddling her waist.
"Because my beautiful, gorgeous Italian wife's birthday is today, or did you just happen to forget your own birthday?" she giggled and Jane shook her head.
"Well you are in a good mood about that. I've just turned 34."
"Yes, you are 34 Jane," she tapped her on the nose. "You know what you have this year, that you didn't have last year, well I mean we were friends of course but we hadn't even crossed that line of more than friends yet, so I guess I shouldn't say you have me this year because I've been in your life a couple of years now. So many wonderful years, anyways, I think I lost my point," Maura scrunched up her nose.
"You were saying I have something that I didn't have last year, but then you went on this adorable little rant about how I had you more than one year to celebrate my birthday. I know what you meant though, unlike you," Jane kissed Maura's jaw. "I never had you in a way I have you now though, the sexual kind of way."
Maura's eyes brightened, "Wait, that's what I was going to say. Last year you didn't have anyone to have hot birthday sex with... well I mean unless you just never told me and I just assumed you didn't have a sex life before me, I'm sorry for assuming."
"I didn't have sex on my birthday last year, but thanks for bringing that up," she playfully rolled her eyes. "Is there a point to this conversation, if so I would really like to get to it. I'd really like to get into it," she whispered huskily in Maura's ear, licking her earlobe slowly. "Let's have sex with the birthday girl, shall we? She's ready to unwrap her present."
Maura pushed Jane down on the bed, "If anyone is unwrapping anything it's me."
"Um Maur, I don't think that's how presents work," she smirked.
"Well apparently you don't want sex bad enough," she slowly slid off of Jane's waist, but Jane grabbed her by the wrist. "Does this mean I can undress you then?"
Jane nodded, "Yes, undress me, fuck me, do whatever you please to me, I'm at your mercy," she licked her lips, and Maura resumed her position on Jane's waist.
Maura nodded, taking the hem of Jane's shirt before lifting it up over her head, "Mmm, so beautiful," she smiled before taking off her own top, and she hovered over Jane, before kissing her soundly, letting their naked breasts touch. Jane moaned as their nipples touched, Maura ground down hard against Jane's hips, taking her legs and wrapping them around her waist. Jane's hips bucked against Maura's, enjoying the closeness. They kept up their movements, Jane enjoying this feeling of dampness she felt pooling in her underwear.
Maura wasted no time in taking off the rest of their clothes, moving their legs so their heated cores could touch, thrusting their hips harder together, Jane whimpered in pleasure feeling their bodies move as one. "Holy... fuckin'... shit," Jane gripped the bedsheets as Maura's hands were placed on either side of her head. "Oh Maura..." she closed her eyes.
"Oh God..." Maura moaned before picking up speed, "Jane, I'm about to..." she whimpered as she felt her orgasm start to approach, her body shook in pleasure alongside her wife as they came together. Maura panted moments later as she laid down next to Jane. "Happy birthday Jane."
Jane licked her lips, "Happy birthday to me indeed," she untangled their legs, her hand resting on Maura's hip. "Is that what we're going to do all day, because I definitely wouldn't mind being at your mercy all day."
"Well as much as I'd love to stay in bed with you, Vince and Angela are going to drop off the twins at some point today. It's cute how much they love spending time with them and why not celebrate your birthday with family."
"Can't you just be my family for today? I don't care much about birthdays or making a big deal out of it. The last birthday I enjoyed was when I turned twenty-one," Jane shrugged playing with Maura's hair. "I got shit faced it was great. The hangover was pretty hellacious."
"Your birthdays will be better now Jane, much better I'm sure, you have me and one day you'll have a child, eventually," she kissed her shoulder. "Isn't that better getting to have your own family to celebrate with you? And just imagine all the private times we can have. Birthdays don't have to be about getting older, birthdays can be about celebrating your life with the ones you love more than anything," Maura spoke softly kissing slowly down her wife's body. "I'm so grateful that you were born, that we get to celebrate your life together," she brushed her lips against Jane's inner thigh. "Your birthday is all about celebrating you," she smiled as Jane's breathing picked up, especially when Maura's tongue slowly ran against her entrance, feeling Jane jerk upwards. "Gorgeous, beautiful you. Made just for me," she sucked gently at Jane's folds, moaning against her.
Jane whimpered, her fingers tangling in Maura's hair, tugging as Maura's sucked a little harder, "God Dammit..." she arched her hips as Maura's tongue slipped inside her slowly, then groaned as she pulled her tongue out just as slow. "Maur..." she titled her head back closing her eyes. Jane bit her bottom lip, groaning as Maura kept the same movement her tongue thrusting harder each time. Jane rolled her hips down against Maura, riding her tongue. "Oh God, right there oh Maura..." she panted, her other hand grasping onto the bedsheets. "Fuck... Maura I'm almost... mother fucker!" Jane shouted as she felt her body shake as the orgasm took over her body, she released as Maura slowed down her movements, pulling back after kissing her entrance.
Maura moved up, resting on top of Jane, licking her lips. "That was very sexy. I love how I can make you feel, I love those beautiful sounds coming from your mouth," she brushed her tongue against Jane's lips. "How you come so hard for me, the way your body shakes when you're about to explode. I like celebrating you," she kissed Jane hard, sucking at her tongue for a moment before pulling away.
"Can we celebrate me some more?" Jane asked still trying to regain her breathing. "I'm still fuckin throbbing," she took her wife's hand pressing it against her core. "See."
Maura nodded, rolling the palm of her hand against her, "Oh yes, you still seem very aroused. You sure you can handle another go?"
Jane nodded, "I'm more than sure, take me Maura, please?"
Maura smiled, "Whatever the birthday girl wants, I'll give it to her, well before company comes over of course," she responded before kissing her wife, pleasing Jane again just like she was craving.
Jane and Maura finally left the bedroom, deciding that they should probably eat breakfast to replenish their fuel as Jane put it.
"I think you released the sexual beast in me Maura," Jane smiled as she made tea.
"I don't doubt it, I think you've definitely peaked. See what happens when you eat healthy."
"Yeah and when we didn't go for our run, I much rather prefer the exercise we just did upstairs. Five fucking times, that's definitely a new record for me. I want to return the favor."
"You can on my birthday, you do remember when that is right?"
"Yeah it's on August 7th, you turn 35. Let's just hope that you and my baby brother doesn't share the same birthday. I would hate to be in the middle of celebrating you, and then get that phone call from Korsak that my mother is giving birth, that would be such a mood killer."
"Well I would still hope you'd finish me off first, you can't just leave the birthday girl hanging. That's not very polite," Maura smiled. "Especially if your phone is turned on while you celebrate me. You'd be in great trouble."
"Hmm I might be willing to take that punishment," she winked causing Maura to lightly hit her in the arm.
"I didn't mean that in a sexual sense, you'd be wishing that was the case."
"I hardly doubt that you could resist me, that you'd be able to be mad when my lips are on your sweet pussy..."
"Jane, what did I tell you about using that term? I'm not fond of that shouldn't you know that by now."
"I'm sorry, I meant your sweet, beautiful vagi-" Jane's hand went in-between Maura's legs, mid sentence.
"Jane!" a voice was heard causing both girls to jump away from each other, it was Tommy.
"What the hell, when did you come in? Why are you here?" Jane asked, pouring the tea into her and Maura's mugs, pretending like Tommy didn't come in when she was about to please her wife.
"Just now figured I'd come let you help me prepare for meeting Frost's father. You told me I could come at this time, so I assumed we'd still be on for that. Did you forget?"
"No of course not, I was just a little distracted," Jane huffed, why did she have to forget she made plans with her brother.
"Don't be offended, Jane here forget that it was her birthday today," Maura sat down on the stool sipping her tea.
"Wait Janie your birthday is today? Shit..." Tommy frowned. "I didn't get you anything."
"I think Jane will survive, I think the gift I gave her was all she needed," she smirked.
"Dammit Maura, you don't have to be so smug about it," Jane whined sitting down next to her.
"I have a feeling that I don't want to know," Tommy looked between the two, Jane and Mauea both looked very happy, he could only assume what that was about. "I have brought over a few outfits, thought I'd ask for your opinion on what's the best thing to wear to this thing."
Maura laughed at Tommy's words, "You want Jane to help you, pick out what to wear when you're trying to impress Barry's father? I think I'd be more suitable for..." she stopped noticing the look Jane gave her, raised eyebrow and all. "Um..." she blushed.
"Ignoring my wife's comment, yeah I'll help you," Jane rolled her eyes, slipping off of the stool. "Come on Tommy," she grabbed her brother by the arm, tugging him out of the kitchen, not before mouthing to Maura that she'll get her back for that comment. "So how nervous are you right now?" she asked when they got in the living room.
"I'm scared shitless Janie, what if he doesn't approve and Frost decides maybe we shouldn't..."
"Tommy, you don't have to worry about him just leaving you, believe it or not he's not prone to running when things get tough," she reassured him. "So what outfits you got to choose from?" She looked at the pile of clothes on her couch. "Shit Tommy, did you bring your whole closet with you?"
"Jane, it's not that much," he shook his head and Jane frowned looking at her brother's clothes.
"Since when would someone want to wear skinny jeans to meet someone's father? More importantly why do you own a pair skinny jeans?"
"I don't think you want to know," Tommy shrugged and Jane tossed them from the pile and onto the recliner. She went through all his clothes before finding something suitable for him to wear.
"Why was this on the bottom of the pile? Now see this is a good outfit, nice jacket, classy and this will have you looking the most mature. He'll know you clean up nice, you do have a tie to wear with this right?"
"Jane, I don't own any ties. They make me feel uncomfortable, I always get mine from Frankie during a special occassion, but I don't think I need to be that dressed up Jane. So I'm going to go with no tie."
Jane sighed, "Fine, but he's going to take notice Tommy, he's already not going to like you because you asked Frost before getting the okay with him first. That's like the first rule to a proposal."
"I wasn't really thinking about anyone else but Frost when I proposed Jane. You don't think I'm going to get grilled for that by his dad, do you?"
Jane shrugged, "It's been a while since I seen him but he's a pretty strict man, and I don't really know how much he's changed. He's pretty tough and I wish you luck," she rested her hand on his shoulder. "You need to be yourself but maybe not exactly fully yourself."
"Shouldn't he get to know the real me?"
"I don't know Tommy, do you like knowing the real you?" Jane asked.
"Good point," Tommy sighed. "I guess I should go change see if this suit actually fits."
Jane nodded, "That's a very good idea, I'm going to ask Korsak if he has some ties that you could try."
"Really? Out of all people you're going to ask him? He's not exactly fashionable."
"He's the best bet, go change, I'll make sure he brings some over," Jane pulled out her phone to send Korsak a text as Tommy went into the bathroom to go change.
"So, how did it go with Tommy?"
"We'll see once he comes out of the bathroom," she sat down on the couch.
"I'm sorry about what I said in the kitchen," Maura joined her, resting her head on Jane's shoulder. "Do you forgive me?"
"Yeah, you still owe me for the comment though. I know I'm not the most fashionable person, but I knew I should be the one to help him, give him tough love and all that. Plus you don't exactly know Admiral Frost."
"I always find a way to make things up to you," Maura curled up next to Jane and she kissed the top of her head. "So do you think Tommy is going to make a good impression on him?"
"He's been capable of a lot I didn't think he'd be good at. I think him being scared shitless will make it go pretty well," she heard Tommy come back from the bathroom.
"So how do I look?" Tommy asked, looking at his sister and Maura.
"Consider me impressed," Jane smirked. "You do clean up pretty nice," she turned to Maura. "He even looks more mature, wouldn't you say?"
Maura nodded, "You look very handsome, I'm sure you'll do fine at lunch. Just keep some confidence, I can sense you're nervous."
"Yeah he would sniff that out in like five seconds. Make sure you don't slouch either, sit up straight and yeah, don't try to show any sort of fear. Confidence will definitely work in your favor, but don't be like a confident ass," Jane smirked. "I think you're ready to take this lunch on, Korsak should be here soon for ties for you to try out."
Tommy smiled, "I think I can do this," he sat down on the couch with them. "You guys believe in me, right?"
They both nodded their heads in agreement, "Of course little bro, you got this. Now if we're done here I haven't had breakfast yet and I had quite the workout this morning," Jane patted his leg and got up from the couch and went into the kitchen.
"You guys wouldn't mind if I join you for breakfast. I'm actually surprised I'm hungry with how nervous I am," he ran a ran through his hair.
"Of course you could join us for breakfast, I'm pretty sure the rest of your family plans to be here eventually for Jane's birthday. Everyone remembered it except for you and her," Maura shook her head.
"If anyone doesn't like celebrating a birthday it's Jane. I stopped remembering hers for almost a decade now," Tommy shrugged like it was no big deal. "I do find it odd how she wants to make her own breakfast, seems very unJane like."
"You can go help her if you'd like, I'm probably just going to rest here for a bit."
"You two must have had a real busy morning," he chuckled, patting her leg before going into the kitchen. Maura laid down on the couch, resting her hands on her stomach, closing her eyes for a moment. "What'cha making Jane?"
Jane turned to look at her brother, "An omelet with spinach and kale. Did you want me to make you one? It could calm your nerves, or maybe you could have some tea. I swear Maura has a type of tea for everything."
"Why are you making yourself breakfast? This is like a really rare occassion, along with you eating healthier."
"You already know why I'm trying to eat healthy Tommy, plus no one offered to make me breakfast and I'm starving. Where is Maura?" Jane asked.
"She's laying down on the couch getting some rest."
Jane smiled brightly, glancing at her wife lying on the couch, "She definitely needs some rest. She worked out hard this morning."
Tommy rolled his eyes, "I don't need to know that, I already walked in at an strange ass time today. I never thought I'd see my sister grabbing a woman's, you know."
She slapped him in the arm, "Hey, don't even mention Maura's... stuff around me. I still remember how one time you wanted her in that way."
"Well you guys finally stopped delaying the inevitable, I always knew I had no chance with Maura. Not in that way, but I had hopes."
"You had too many hopes, but that's all in the past, you're no longer pining over Maura and you're actually going to be getting married. Everything worked out," Jane put her omelet on the plate. "You can make your own breakfast though, and make something for Maura too. I'm going to eat and then probably go for a run, I'm on an adrenaline kick today." She went to sit down at the kitchen island, digging into her breakfast.
As soon as she was done she put her dishes in the sink, she heard the front door open and two pairs footsteps pattering towards her. "Happy birthday Jane!" Todd and Kate shouted, ambushing her in a hug.
"Hey," Jane hugged them back. "Thanks for the very warm greeting," she kissed both of their heads.
"You're welcome," Kate and Todd grinned.
"Did you two have fun at your grandparents house?"
"Grandma let her touch her stomach, the baby kicked me," Todd frowned.
"You know that's kind of a good thing, it's his way of saying hello, that he's doing well in there. Did you try talking to him, he can sort of hear you, did you know?" Jane explained and the little boy shook his head.
"No maybe I can try again," Todd grinned leaving the kitchen.
"One day you're going to have a baby right?" Kate asked when her brother was gone. Jane stood up and nodded.
"Maura and I have been thinking about it yeah. I know that you'll be excited to have a cousin. You're going to help us out right? Be a role model and our special little helper around the house."
Kate grinned, "Yep I want to help all the time. I like helping take care of Chad, I know a baby is different than an animal. But I'm sure I can handle some things. I don't want to change any poopy diapers though," she scrunched up her nose.
"Well that will be me and Maura's job, we are going to do all the things mothers are responsible for doing. Don't worry about that."
"I'm going to try and talk to baby Julian again, he didn't kick my hand last time," she pouted before running off to join her brother.
Korsak entered the kitchen greeting Jane, she noticed how tired he looked. "Happy birthday Jane."
"Thanks, why do you look like hell?"
"Those kids are so hyper this morning, Angela had a pretty emotional night last night, I hardly got any sleep it didn't help with her tossing and turning so much. I think everything is starting to get more uncomfortable for her. You don't have any coffee made by chance, do you?" he sat down on the stool.
"Nope, I drink healthy teas in the morning now. Maura actually had to put the coffee machine into storage because there was an incident when I started my new diet I sort of drank a lot of coffee that day when Maura went to work. I wanted to get my coffee intake before I had to cut it out of my daily routine."
"Wow, sounds like you two are running a tight ship over here. You're really serious about this aren't you?"
"I can't take any risks Vince. I swear it's something I always think about now. There's like this need I've been feeling, this anxious feeling I get. I swear I think I have a case of baby fever. I want to get pregnant while I'm still in my prime. Talking to Kate just now about having a baby, I wanted to wait until Ma had Julian before I tried, but I mean... I don't think I want to wait, plus it could take time before I actually get pregnant anyways so why not start trying now," Jane shrugged and Korsak just smirked at her.
"Well, maybe you should consult your wife about it. I'm sure she'd be more than happy to help with that, however it works. I never thought this was something you wanted, and I didn't think you'd want it this bad."
"I didn't either, but my window for having a child has gone down some, plus I don't want to have a child when I'm Ma's age."
Korsak patted her shoulder, "Good thinking, we all seen what kind of problems she's been having with Julian. That's part of the reason your mother had been tossing and turning, she had a dream that Julian arrived too early and didn't make it."
"She did? She's not going to stress herself too much about this I hope. I'm sure it's a usual thing right? Getting closer to the due date having dreams like that."
"A little over two months is kind of still far out from now. Can you sense why we're both worried about it."
"Maybe she needs to go back to the doctor I'm sure he'll reassure you guys that this is normal," Jane sighed. "Maybe that should be my birthday wish, hoping Ma has a safe final months of her pregnancy, that her and Julian will both be healthy. If anything happens to them..." she paused. "I really didn't want to cry on my birthday."
Korsak wrapped an arm around Jane, "It's okay to cry Jane, you care a lot about your mother and I'm sure she appreciates you being concerned."
Jane nodded, "I think I'm going to go on my run now. Can you hold down the fort until I get back?"
"Of course Jane I'll make sure everyone is in good hands," he patted her back before letting her go.
Jane slipped away putting on her sneakers before heading outside after letting Maura know where she was going. Before she could leave the driveway Frost pulled up. She stopped to greet him as he got out of the car. "Hey Frost."
"Hey Jane, where are you off to?"
"I'm going for a run."
"Can I join you? I'm kind of stressed out."
Jane nodded patting his back, "Of course you can join me, it's good for our endorphins. We're both pretty stressed right now."
"How can one be stressed on their birthday? How's thirty-four treating you?"
"You remember everything, don't you? And it's alright well until company came over me and Maura had an eventful morning, a nice morning."
Frost chuckled, "Oh I bet a house all to yourselves, a whole bunch of celebrating, bet you like your birthdays now. I got a gift in the car for you, but let's go for that run first."
Jane patted Frost's back, "Yeah, are you sure you'll be able to keep up?"
"It's not a race Jane."
"Oh wanna bet," she smirked before taking off.
"Hey wait for me," Frost ran after her to catch up.
Jane and Frost came back from their run about thirty minutes later. "I totally won that race Barry."
"I just let you win, plus I didn't exactly want it to be a race. Plus me tripping over that curb wasn't exactly fun," he rolled his eyes.
"I told you to watch out, but no you weren't paying attention. At least you didn't break anything, just scuffed up your hands a bit. At least you know how to catch yourself. Tommy would have been pissed at me if you broke your face or anything else."
"Yeah, I'm a survivor," Frost smirked, rubbing at his hands. "I'll give you your gift now," he went to grab something from his car handing her a bag.
Jane found a shirt inside that said Mama Bear and shorts to match with the words printed on the back. "Thanks Frost," she smirked.
"Yeah I figured since you were trying and you're kinda like a mama bear already, taking care of those twins and well your brothers. There's more in the bag though, beneath the tissue paper," he told her, Jane got to the bottom of the bag and looked up at him with a raised brow.
"Really Frost, pregnancy tests and ovulation tests," she looked at the boxes.
"I figured you would want some and would be embarrassed to go to the store to pick them out when the time came. The lady at CVS told me to tell my wife good luck and she hopes we have a beautiful baby when it's time. Anyways I knew you wanted to try eventually and apparently ovulation tests can tell when you're... um you know..."
"You are a brave soul doing this for me. I really appreciate it even though it was probably awkward as hell for you."
"Well you asked me to be the godfather to your future baby. It really wasn't a big deal, I got you girl," he smirked and Jane smiled, giving him a hug.
"You're already turning out to be a great godfather and brother. Never change Frost," she kissed his cheek and linked her arm with his as they headed inside.
"I mean what are friends for, I'll always have you. Even if I'm marrying your brother I'll come anytime you call. Well any reasonable time that is."
"I'll hold you to it," she opened the door, letting him enter first. He was greeted by the twins.
"Uncle Frost! Uncle Frost!"
"Hey kiddos," Frost picked them both up. "Have you guys gotten taller since I've last seen you."
"No you picked us up," they giggled. Jane shook her head, she loved seeing the twins interact with Frost and Frost interact with them.
Jane went upstairs deciding she should freshen up and change into the clothes Frost gifted her with. Maura had the same idea to freshen up, they met each other in the bathroom.
"How was your run?" Maura asked her wife as she applied on some lip gloss.
"It was good, I went with Frost he pulled up as I was leaving. He gifted me with Mama Bear clothes, and some tests... to take."
"What kind of tests?"
"Pregnancy and ovulation tests. I was trying to decide if I want to take a ovulation test today. I've been thinking a lot about wanting to get pregnant. I don't think I want to wait until Ma has Julian. Plus there's no harm in trying right? Seeing if it's the right time."
"Yeah I guess there isn't any harm no... I'll be downstairs. Let me know the results, then we can set up an appointment with the doctor. I'm glad that you want this Jane," she reached up to stroke her cheek before giving her a kiss. "I love you."
"I love you too. Thanks for being supportive of my wants and needs."
"Always Jane, good luck with your test," she smiled before leaving the bathroom closing the door behind her. Jane freshened up and changed before opening the box of ovulation tests, taking one out of the box.
"Welp, here goes nothing," she took the test and now she had to wait to see what it would say.
Jane waited a few moments before her timer went off to get the test result, she looked at sighed, throwing the test in the trash. "Not today," she washed her hands and joined her family downstairs. She noticed that Frankie had arrived but he wasn't with Crowe. She'd be sure she'd ask him about it later.
"Jane! It's time to open presents," Todd ran up to her.
"I got presents?" Jane asked and Todd nodded.
"It's your birthday, why wouldn't you get presents?" he grabbed her by the hand pulling her to the dining room table. "See presents."
"Aah so there are presents," she sat down next to Maura. "I wasn't expecting any gifts."
"That's the whole point of a birthday, being surprised."
"Well consider me surprised. Maybe my birthdays won't be so bad after all," Jane squeezed Maura's hand.
"Told you."
"Can you open presents now? Then we get cheesecake," Todd spoke up.
"Oh I see, you don't care about the presents you just want cake," Jane teased before Angela slid over a box.
"Vince and I got this for you, Maura and the kids. But we're sure you can put it to good use."
Jane took the bow off of the top of the box, putting it to the side and she unwrapped the box. It was a Wii gaming console bundle package. "Um, why do I need this?"
"Because every person needs a Wii, that's what the ad said. It's an interactive kind of thing, you can use it for yoga, exercise and things. You should probably open the other box," Korsak explained, giving her another box. Jane opened it and looked at the games. "I know how you've been wanting to be more active and exercise more. And you don't have to go outside to do anything, so if the weather sucks you can still exercise. Plus the twins really wanted these dancing games."
Jane nodded her head in understanding, "Well I thank you for the thought about my new routines I've been doing. I really do appreciate it after your explanation." She read one of the games, "Hey look Maura, there's a game you'd quite enjoy it has yoga."
Maura smiled, "I do know how much you like me doing yoga."
"And that's always a great gift," Jane smirked, and put the bow from the box on the top of Maura's head, kissing her cheek. "What else did I get?" Jane asked, actually excited to be getting gifts.
Once Jane opened everything that was on the dining room table, Maura had more for Jane but the kids were really excited for cake. Maura lit the candles on the cake and the twins really wanted to help her bring it to the table. They were very careful about it as they sang happy birthday to Jane along with everyone else.
"Make a wish Jane," Maura rested her hand on Jane's shoulder, Jane looked up and smirked, before closing her eyes and blowing out the candles.
Jane opened one of her eyes and frowned, "Maura, my dream didn't come true, everyone else is still here," she whispered feigning disappointment.
"Oh Jane," she shook her head, smirking. "We can always let them eat the cheesecake and we go elsewhere," she leaned down and whispered in her ear. "I have something I'd really like to show you." And with those words Jane jumped up from the chair.
"You guys can go ahead and eat the cake, same some for Maura and I though," she grabbed Maura by the hand. "Where are we going?" Jane asked as they headed towards the kitchen.
"The guest house, you have to close your eyes."
"Seriously?"
"Yeah, come on now. And no peaking."
Jane closed her eyes and nodded, "You're the boss Maura." She let Maura walk her to the guest house. Maura looked behind her to make sure Jane still had her eyes closed. Maura stopped walking and Jane felt her hand leave hers. "Are you going to be naked once I open my eyes?"
Maura laughed, "Of course not Jane. You may open your eyes now though." Jane did as she was told and looked at a nice looking set up in the corner, there was a desk, a comfortable office chair, and a brand new laptop.
"Maura, what's all this?" Jane asked, looking at her wife.
"I told you that I support you in any career choice you'd choose, so I had this idea when you do your life coach stuff on the side. You'd need your own personal space and I figured this was a good idea, you like it right? You can have your privacy when you do calls and everything. I have to get Tommy to set up the bluetooth headset and all, but it will all be set for when you start that," Maura explained, causing Jane's smile to widen, tears formed in her eyes.
"This is like the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me," she wrapped her arms around Maura, giving her a hug. "I love you so much Maura. You do so much for me and I don't even think I can thank you enough. I'm so lucky to have you," she squeezed her. "And now I'm crying again."
"You've changed my life Jane, I will always appreciate you, appreciate all you've done for me, we have a pretty good balance and life is so much better when we're together," Maura pulled away to wipe the tears from Jane's cheeks. "Did you want to see the features of your chair?"
Jane nodded, "Sure," she went to go sit down in the chair, leaning back, her arms resting on the arm rest. "Damn this chair is much comfier than the ones at work."
"It reclines as well, and what I think the best feature is," Maura grabbed the remote. "It massages you, there's about four different settings, so you can pick which works best for you. They are all pretty good, definitely made my back feel better when I used it."
"You tried out the chair for me?"
"I had to go to a store and test out a lot of chairs, I had to think what would suit you best, and I was hoping the chair I picked would fulfill your needs. You're happy with the chair right?" she asked and Jane nodded getting out of the chair, resting her hands on Maura's hips.
"I love the chair, I love all of it. I love you for going through all this effort."
"It really was nothing Jane, I just wanted to do what was best for you and your future career choice," Maura leaned up to give Jane a kiss.
"It's more than nothing Maura, it was sweet and I am so grateful of how supportive you've been for me and my goals. We should go back inside now, I'm kind of hungry for cheesecake."
Maura nodded, "Wait, before we go back inside, how did the test go, are you ovulating?"
Jane shook her head, "No, but that's alright, I usually suck at passing tests the first time I take them. I was just curious if I was, I wasn't expecting anything. But I was thinking that while we wait for that, maybe we could go pick out a sperm donor, I think it's good to be prepared in that aspect, I know I've been good at my new routine and health regimen, but I wasn't focused on the other important part. I think we should still set up a doctor's appointment."
Maura caressed Jane's cheek, "Anything you need, I'm here. Let's go back inside before everyone gets suspicious of why we're taking so long. Or before someone gets concerned and walks in on you trying to grope me again," Maura bit her bottom lip, walking past Jane, slowly letting her hand run over Jane's ass, grasping it for a moment. "I like those shorts on you by the way Mama Bear," she winked before walking out of the guest house, Jane in tow.
This chapter was fun to write, especially the hot Rizzles stuff at the beginning, but then Jane's interactions with everyone else were fun to write as well. Then it ends on a sweet note our babies are so cute. Next chapter will include some more Rizzles moments but I'm probably going to include Frost/Tommy's lunch with Admiral Frost. A big plot for Angela and everyone is coming soon. Be on the look out for more, and thanks as always for the continuous support.
