PREVIOUSLY-
A few minutes later, as I was waiting on the nurse to hook me up, I saw Seth standing at the doorway, motioning for Embry to go talk to him quickly.
No sooner than Embry and Seth were out of the door, I felt something being injected into my neck and icy hands wrapped around my arms, my vision fading to black as I tried to call out for my husband.
Embry's POV-
I was waiting with Bella as Seth went out to find out what was taking Paul so long, and I had to admit I was worried, too.
Seth came back in and I noticed him at the doorway of the exam room, motioning for me to talk to him quickly. Once just outside the doorway, Seth whispered lower than human ears could hear, "Vampire here, now!" but I was nearly paralyzed, because I felt some kind of weird feeling rush through my veins and then I felt nothing.
I was still conscious, but I couldn't feel my Bella anymore. I turned back into the room within a fraction of a second and saw that the nurse was unconscious on the floor and Bella was gone.
My heart nearly stopped in its tracks.
I must have been blocking everything out, because I felt myself being pulled outside by Seth. "Embry, Embry man, come on, we have to find Bella. Come on, snap out of it! Bella and your daughter are in danger!"
I snapped out of it, and when I did, I was beyond furious and utterly terrified.
"I can't feel her. What if—" I began but Seth cut me off as we ran into the woods to phase.
"I can't really feel her exactly, but I feel something. Like I think I know where she is." Seth replied and I growled deeply, immediately phasing into a giant wolf.
Seth phased at the same time.
"It took her!" I yelled in my thoughts, as I began to run, chasing after the stench, now with my imprint's scent mixed in.
"We'll find her, Embry, we'll get her back." Sam tried to say, but I was more focused on what Seth and Paul were discussing.
"I feel a pull, like it's calling me." Seth was telling Paul.
"I don't feel her at all. Like it's dark, and it's freaking me the fuck out. My wolf is going crazy." Paul replied.
"I'm the same." I grunted, angrily. How could Seth feel a pull from my imprint but I couldn't, and Paul couldn't either?!
We were all running, the whole pack now. The leech had taken advantage of us not being able to phase in a public place again, just like how Bella had feared it would. He'd also taken advantage of the lingering leech smell in the hospital, so that we couldn't tell how recent it was.
We ran, chasing the scent as well as the tug in Seth's mind.
Out of nowhere, I felt her again. It was faint, but it was Bella, and then I was brought to the forest floor by an excruciating pain.
Apparently, Paul and Seth were as well, because it became a train wreck of wolves in the forest. We all stood back up immediately and began running with a renewed vigor. Was she being hurt? Was he trying to change her? Was he trying to hurt our child, to rip her from Bella's body? I had so many scenarios running through my mind, over and over, each worse than the one before.
We kept running, as I felt the Bella lifeline in me roar to life, almost as if igniting a flaming chord, directing me in the correct location.
"We're getting close." I told them, and they all agreed. "Bella, we're coming to get you!" I prayed she could hear me.
A/N- I know this was a short chapter, but I wanted to keep all of Embry's POV confined to this chapter and didn't want to shift POV in the middle of the chapter. It's about to get intense, y'all.
