Lessons In Love: Chapter Ninety-Five: Young & Sad (Part 5)

The two versions of Stephen went their separate ways. The older one walked off, and sat back down beside Clea. The young one turned toward Baby Steve and Tony.

They both had quite a bit to think about, and they were silent. The younger Stephen kept to himself, as Baby Tony stepped into his line of sight. He didn't look that happy, and Tony wanted to fix that.

Stephen wasn't giving him any eye contact. He didn't forget anything that was said. None of what he learned went away. Baby Stephen was just subdued. His eyes lifted upward, and he finally caught Tony's expression.

He focused on Tony, but then his eyes slowly closed for a little while. The younger Stephen wondered if he had been given some sort of a lobotomy.

The older Stephen was contemplating. The situation was pretty bad, and he decided that some changes needed to be made. The Sorcerer Supreme mapped out how to turn it all around, as his younger self formed a portal.

He was over the social gathering. Baby Stephen wanted to go home and see if Victor was there. He could see into his apartment.

The younger Tony didn't want Stephen to leave. He wanted to make sure he was ok, and actually hear his voice. A quiet Stephen was never a good sign, so Baby Tony rushed in front of him.

He blocked his exit, and stared up at the would-be-sorcerer. Tony wasn't sure how to stop him, but he had to do it. It was mandatory for the brunette. He said the first thing that popped into his mind.

"WAIT. You can't go. You said that we could meet up. We have plans to meet up when this is all over. It's over now, so you can't take back what you said."

Tony's word vomit was heard by everyone. Two people laughed, and another one quietly sighed. Baby Tony didn't care about any of that. He wanted Stephen to talk to him.

The younger sorcerer kept staring at Tony. His noise distracted him from his portal. He started bringing his hand back toward his body, and the portal started shrinking.

It was over? Baby Stephen missed that memo. He slowly looked over at Baby Steve. He felt a little awkward, because he did discuss dating Tony.

It all seemed juvenile, but he thought about Steve's opinion. Steve was worried about Stephen. He didn't like what he was seeing. They hadn't really gotten the chance to talk, but Steve cared about him.

He almost said something to him, but the baby sorcerer quickly looked at his older self.

"Where do you wanna meet?"

Baby Tony spoke again. His voice was louder that time, and it broke Stephen's focus. Meet up, hook up, what up? Tony didn't care. He just wanted to get him talking. Tony needed to hear that voice.

Stephen thought that Tony was acting weird. He processed all his noise, and remembered what he said to him outside his car.

Stephen remembered how Tony made him feel. He tried so hard to hold onto what he felt. Tony watched him close his eyes again, and it looked like he was deep in thought.

"Your house. I mean, your parent's house."

Stephen softly spoke, and Tony's face lit up. He friggen rejoiced, because he got him talking. Stephen liked being at Tony's house. It was his parent's home, but the feeling he had was still with him.

"I don't want to stay very long. Victor might be home."

"Ok yes, sweet! Uhmaaa, maybe my dad will be there this time. He asks about you."

Tony started babbling. He got excited and he wondered what time it was for his parents. Stephen wasn't sure why Tony's father would ask about him. He wondered about that and looked at Steve again.

"He can join us, right?"

Stephen wanted Steve to be there. He was in an odd mood, and for some reason he wanted Steve to be around. He wasn't sure if it was for Steve or Oshtur, but there was an energy that he wanted to keep close.

Tony's behavior got even weirder. He looked very excited, and his energy was making Stephen feel warm. Tony started telling him that he hoped it was dinner time. The portal was changed, and Baby Tony took over the scene.

Stephen's solemn expression on his face started lifting up. He held a small smile, and followed Tony's chatter. He left the kingdom, and Baby Stephen didn't look back.

He didn't say anything to anyone. The younger Steve was the one that said all the goodbyes.

"You guys know where to find us, we'll take it from here."

Baby Steve gave the older trio a kind smile, and he made sure to thank them for everything. Then, just like that, the baby blonde disappeared.

The portal between dimensions had closed, and the younglings were instantly gone. The older Tony smiled at that. He was glad to see his baby self turn that frown upside down. He looked at the older version of that frown, and he sighed. Big Stephen looked just as troubled, but Clea was right there beside him.

They were actually talking, but their voices were way too soft and gentle for anyone to pick up. Big Tony stretched his arms backward, and he looked over at his main man.

Steve was thanking Thor for the use of Mjolnir, and they were talking about continuing the jurisdiction tour. The soldier intended to spend a lot of time with Thor, once Stephen and Clea decided to step away. That decision was up to them.

Steve wasn't in a rush. Tony watched him communicate with the others, and he could tell that Steve was getting ready for them to head home.

Tony couldn't wait. He wanted his bed, and he wanted to shove his face against that shirt.

The younglings arrived in Tony's driveway. It looked like it was dinner time where they were, and Baby Tony could see his father's car. It was parked next to a beige Mercedes Benz.

...fuck.

He was standing pretty close to Stephen and Steve, and they noticed that he kept staring at the car. They figured that his parents had a guest?

Fucking... fantastic.

Tony immediately became nervous. He spun around where he stood, and playfully pointed at the giant house that was beyond them.

"Onward, boyfriends."

AHAH. Tony let out a chipper laugh. He thought that his comment was funny. Steve and Stephen looked at one another, and one of them playfully rolled his eyes.

They followed Tony up to the giant house, and Tony nervously rang the door bell.
