It had been a while since Brax and Heath had gone to check on Kyle. Brax was still in there, and Heath was sat on the table waiting for him to come out. Ricky and Bianca had taken Emilia out for a walk to get Harley and Darcy from Casey and Denny, who wanted to spend some time with them. It wasn't long until Brax walked out, a pocket knife in hand.

"Did you find out why Kyle had a knife in between Lillie's things?" Heath asks.

"Yeah, he had them hidden under his chest of drawers ages ago." Brax says, chucking the knife down as he sits at the table with them. "He promised me they were the last two in there."

"And you believe him?"

"We need to trust him. He doesn't want to self harm again, not after his scars are going to be permanent anyway. He's trying his best now he's back and we need to support him." Brax says, Heath nodding. "We've also go to bare in mind that it was his first night back, he's bound to find it hard the first couple days and he's going to need us.

"Yeah, I know." Heath sighs. "What's he doing now?"

"He was just sorting some of his things out, then we were going to go for a walk down to the beach." Brax replies.

"Okay. Ricky and Bianca have gone to get the kids from Casey. Thought it was best to give Kyle some time before needing to be around Emilia again. We weren't really sure if it was a good idea this soon, but we don't want to isolate the kids from him." Heath says, not knowing how to approach it.

"I think for now, it's best to let him settle back in and let him make the first moves. The barbie last night helped, and it was his idea, so that helps us to know if he's ready. As long as nothing is forced on him, it'll be fine." Brax says, frowning as Heath startles with a gasp. "What?"

"Do we have to have that dog running around the place?" Heath moans as he points at Bruno, who had run out of the hallway. "It's going to give me a heart attack one day!"

"Stop moaning, you don't even live here any more." Brax laughs, turning to see Kyle walk out. "You ready to go?"

"Just a sec." Kyle says, putting the harness on Bruno before standing tall. "Lets go."

"Mind if I walk with you?" Heath asks his younger brother, knowing he could meet up with their family if Kyle needed time with Brax to talk.

"I won't stop you." Kyle says, not even bothering to look at him as he walks out the door, Bruno instantly following him.

"Come on." Brax says before following Kyle.

"Yep." Heath says, grabbing his phone as he stands up, quickly running to catch up with them.

"So, how are you doing since being back?" Heath asks as they walk towards the beachfront, seeing the rest of the Braxton clan sat around one of the benches.

"It's weird, but I'll get used to it." Kyle lightly shrugs.

"You've got all of us to help you." Brax says before they reach their family.

"Hey! It's good to see you out and about." Bianca smiles.

"Yeah, it's feel good to get some fresh air." Kyle nods.

"We were just about to head down onto the beach if you want to sure us?" Casey asks.

"Sure, that would be good." Kyle nods as they stand up, starting to head down. "Uh... Heath, could we talk?"

"Sure mate, what's up?" Heath asks as the others go ahead.

"There's just some stuff I need to say to you." Kyle says, briefly glancing down.

"What's this about?" Heath asks.

"I just wanted to say sorry for saying I'd put you in prison if I found out it was someone who had bad blood with this family. I was just scared and I shouldn't have said that stuff." Kyle mutters. "I wouldn't have done it, I don't even know why I aimed it at you."

"No sweat." Heath says. "You think I would have let you put me in prison?" He smirks, putting his arm around Kyle's neck to ruffle his hair. "We all know I'm the boss around here, there's no way you would have been able to get away with it."

"Yeah right." Kyle smiles, lightly shoving his brother off.

"But what is this dirt you have on me?" Heath asks, needing to know.

"I don't really know." Kyle honestly says. "I think I just said it because I was jealous Brax was going to have Emilia, and I wasn't going to be able to be there knowing I won't have that again."

"You will. One day you'll meet a girl and you'll both have a great family." Heath says.

"No, I don't want any more kids. I couldn't do it." Kyle says. "Anyway, we best go and join the others." He says when he notices Heath's hand. "Is that because of me, because the knife got mixed between the stuff I got rid of?"

"Nah, it was my own fault. I understand you miss Lillie, but do you really want to get rid of her things?" Heath says.

"It's not like I need it now, and it had to be done at some point." Kyle mutters. "I'm doing a lot better now, and I can't have reminders of Lillie around. It'll remind me of what I'm missing out on. But enough of that, lets head down there." He says, walking down the beachfront before more could be said.

After they had all finished down on the beach, Casey and Denny went into Yabbie Creek while Bianca and Ricky gave the boys some time to be there for Kyle if he needed them. Once the three brothers got home, Kyle had gone straight into the garden for some time to himself, leaving the two eldest brothers to chat.

"He didn't want any reminders about Lillie, but I don't think acting like she was never here is good for him." Heath says after telling his brother about his conversation with Kyle.

"He's not acting like she wasn't here, he just needs some time to get his head around the fact she isn't here now." Brax says, glancing at the back door before carrying on. "Have you heard anything from Kat?"

"Yeah, she called just before we got back. The couple they just looked into came up with nothing. The only couple left on the list of priorities is the FED and his wife. If nothing comes up with that, we're going to have to think of other ways that haven't been thought of yet. I just don't know what that's going to be." Heath frowns.

"How long do they recon it will take to check this couple out?" Brax asks whilst trying to make sure Kyle couldn't hear them.

"I don't know. A few days minimum. Apparently they've been moving around a lot, and they're struggling to find where they are now, so it could take longer. She said she'll call as soon as they've started searching them properly."

"Okay. I don't think we should tell Kyle anything about this new search unless something comes up. He's finally in a better place, and it can't be ruined now." Brax says.

"Yeah, I agree. Before my chat with him, I would have suggested telling him about it, but he's not ready. This could send him backwards if he found out." Heath sighs.

"Exactly, and I'm not going to let that happen. He can't be in that headspace again because he was too good at hiding it. Pete said in the start Kyle skipped a lot of his counselling sessions and it wasn't until they took Bruno away that he started co-operating, I don't want to do that as well if he refuses to talk to us." Brax says, lightly shaking his head.

"I doubt you will, he seems more open about talking to you now. He's got a really strong bond with that dog as well, so he wouldn't let you take him." Heath says, knowing it was good for Kyle, as Bruno picked up on his emotions well. "Anyway, I told Kat I'd check in with the research I've been doing. I'll be across the road if you need anything." He says before walking out.
