Prompt: "I'm here for my daily fix of hugs and kisses."
Kensi looked up from her report, trying to think of a professional way to say "took down suspect with an iron" and found Deeks leaning against the entryway, wearing a soft smile.
"Babe, is everything ok?" she asked, getting to her feet. As she walked over to him she gave him a quick once over. He didn't seem to be in immediate danger.
"I'm fine," he assured her.
"Then what are you doing here? And how did you get in?" Since resigning from NCIS and LAPD, all of Deeks' badges had been deactivated. Or at least Kensi had assumed they were.
"Jason from tech let me in," Deeks explained with a shrug. "Did you hear he just got engaged?"
"That's great, but he really shouldn't have let you in," Kensi pointed out. "That's a breach of security." Deeks made a dismissive noise.
"C'mon, it's me. Everybody knows I'm harmless." Kensi rolled her eyes at that and wandered back to her desk, leaning against it. Deeks followed her, his expression playful.
"That still doesn't explain why you felt the need to break into a highly secure building."
"Technically, I didn't break in," Deeks pointed out with a raised finger. "But to answer your question, "I'm here for my daily fix of hugs and kisses."
"You got those this morning," Kensi reminded him, letting her gaze linger on a few places that had been on the receiving end of those kisses.
"Yeah, but they wore off." His face was positively heartbreaking. "I need a booster dose." He sidled up to her, coming to stand between her legs. Why had decided to wear tight jeans today of all days? He knew how she felt about his butt.
Feigning indifference, she crossed her arms and tried not to breathe in the fresh scent of his hair. It was extra soft and fluffy today.
"From my calculation, that dose should last you into next week," she said with a warning note in her voice. Deeks just grinned and dipped his head, running his nose along her jawline. Of its own accord, her hand crept up to his jaw and brushed the freshly shaven skin.
"I bet the burn room is empty," he murmured, gently nuzzling her neck.
"You are a terrible influence," she sighed, pulling him closer.
"Unbelievable. First I catch you making out at the bar," Callen said, making a tis-king noise. "Now you're planning to defile the burn room. Again." Kensi jerked in surprise but Deeks moved back slowly, uncaring. Callen was behind them, leaning against Sam's desk with his legs crossed.
"How long have you been there?"
"Long enough. Some would say too long."
"Maybe you need to stop creeping up on people," Deeks suggested.
"Maybe you should stop making out everywhere," Callen said with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah, that's probably not going to happen," Kensi said honestly.
"Hey, at least we kept our clothes on."
"Thank heavens for small mercies," Callen said sarcastically.
"Rain check on the kisses?" Deeks checked with Kensi who nodded and gave him a quick peck on the lips.
"And just like that, it's like I'm not even here," Callen sighed.
"Shh, you're ruining the moment."
