Berk Delano, 12
District Nine

Berk Delano was feeling pretty good when he woke up on the third day of the Events. Yes, the challenge the previous day hadn't exactly been ideal for him or Nova. But there was something comforting about coming in last place and still not getting eliminated. Sure, only one team entered the elimination challenge, and it was hard to know if they were the least popular or the team selected by the Atticuses, but it still felt good to know that he and Nova weren't completely disliked, because if they were, they almost definitely would not be in their little house right now.

After brushing his teeth and washing his face, Berk went to put on the outfit picked out for him, but found that there was nothing hung on the back of his bathroom door. Instead, there was a little note that read, "Feel free to pick out whatever you'd like from the dresser." Berk opened the drawer of the dresser to find seventeen different royal blue shirts and an assortment of shorts and pants waiting for him. Not really knowing the difference between the various tops and bottoms, Berk put on a t-shirt and cargo shorts, then put on a pair of sneakers and went to go grab some breakfast.

"Good morning, Berk," said Nova, who was already awake.

"Good morning, Nova!" Berk took a seat next to her and served some scrambled eggs from the bowl. "How'd you sleep?"

"Pretty well. How about you?"

"Same. Glad to still be here."

"Me too! Hey, check out what was dropped off last night."

Berk looked towards the sitting room of the house, where a small writing desk had been set up with a variety of colorful pencils and markers. Resting on it were some blank pieces of paper that had the outlines of some human figures, wearing a variety of shapes of suits and dresses. "What's that for?"

"There's a little note on it. It says that there's a challenge coming up later on in the Games for which we'll have to design an outfit. It did not tell us when the challenge was but the note encouraged us to start working on it sooner rather than later," explained Nova.

"That's pretty cool! Do you wanna work on it a bit now?"

"Sure!"

The two spent a little bit of time working on their outfit, mostly just brainstorming and coloring in some of the dresses and suits as they tried to figure out what they wanted to design. After they decided they'd made sufficient progress, Berk asked, "Wanna go say hi to Mina and Cam?"

"Sure thing!" Nova went to go open the door to their house. "Huh. It's locked."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I can't get out."

"Well that's not particularly convenient. It's also pretty dangerous. What if there's a fire?"

"I mean. How could there be? Don't the Gamemakers have complete control over the Arena?"

Berk thought for a moment. "Oh, I guess you're right. So what should we do now?"

"Well, we could play a game."

"That's a good idea. Do we have any games here?"

"Yeah, I think I saw they put some boxes under the coffee table. But I don't know how to play any of them."

But as soon as the two had sat back down at the table, the doorbell rang. "Who could that be?" asked Berk.

"Let me look," Nova replied. She got up again and opened the door, finding a Capitol purple package with a blue envelope attached to it waiting on the doorstep. "Hmm. I bet this relates to the challenge."

"That's a good bet," replied Berk, as Nova picked up the package and brought it into the house. She put the package on their table and pulled the envelope off of it, then delicately slid the envelope open and pulled out the piece of thick purple paper waiting inside.

Congratulations, Nova and Berk! You are the first recipients of the Medallion of Power, a special reward given to the most popular team with the audience that grants one team immunity from elimination. Each team may only receive the Medallion of Power once and may only use it once.

You have two options for how to use the Medallion of Power. The first is to use it for this challenge, to automatically win the challenge, receive its medallion, and be safe from elimination. The second is to save it for a later challenge, and another team will receive this box and the medallion that comes with it. It is up to you how you will choose to use it.

If you would like to use it for this challenge, please open the box and read the enclosed instructions. If you would prefer not to use it, please place it outside your door and wait for the doorbell to ring again.

"Wow!" Nova exclaimed.

"I didn't think people liked us that much."

"I guess they do. So what do you want to do?"

"Hmm," thought Berk. "I mean, in theory it's better to save us for when we're really in danger. But I don't know if we'll ever be I danger, and I also don't know if we'll get the opportunity to get another medallion."

Nova grinned. "I was thinking something similar, actually. Like this will put us on equal standing with every other team in the Events that already has a medallion, which might even benefit us more than immunity later on."

"So we're gonna do it?"

"I think so." Together, they opened the box and pulled out the document with the instructions for the challenge.

Hello, competitors! Welcome to your third day of competition. Today, we will be honoring our friends in District Ten and their value of friendship. In recent years, District Ten has begun to help citizens all across Panem bring new furry friends into their homes, and we are all grateful to them for the ability to open our hearts to new friends.

For today's challenge, we want you to think about the friendships you've formed since the Events began, as the Events are also about creating friendships between the districts. If you look in the box, you'll notice that there are a number of district-color friendship bracelets. Please take out the ones in your district's color and put them on. Then, you will have five minutes to choose one of the teams whose bracelets are in the box, go over to their house, and give them their friendship bracelets. Either or both of you can walk over, whatever you'd prefer. Afterwards, please return to your house, and I will let you know when it is time to announce the results.

If, once you remove your friendship bracelets, there are only two bracelets left in the box, please open the purple envelope taped to the underside of the box and follow those instructions.

"Oh, I'm so glad we get to go first for this," Nova gushed as she pulled the baby blue bracelets out of the box. "Makes our life so much easier."

"Yeah. We're giving it to Twelve, right?"

"Absolutely."

Mina and Cam were in the middle of breakfast when they heard a knock at the door. "Oh, it must be Nova and Berk!" exclaimed Cam, jumping up to answer the door. She was right, of course, but she didn't expect them to be holding a big purple package. "Hi guys! What's this?"

"It's for the challenge!" Nova replied. "The instructions will explain. I don't think we can stay but we'll see you later."

"Well, it was lovely to see you two," Mina said, taking the package out of Nova's hands and bringing it to the table. "Thanks for this!"

"You're welcome! See you later!" The kids from Nine gave a wave goodbye as Cam closed the door.

Mina and Cam opened the package and read the instructions inside. "There are so many colors left," Cam exclaimed. "Did Nova and Berk get to go first?"

"I suppose so. I wonder how they picked that."

"Well, good for them!"

"Yes, good for them." Mina took out the mint green bracelets, then surveyed the bracelets remaining in the box as she helped Cam tie hers on. "Now who are we going to pick? It seems as though almost everybody is left."

Cam gave Mina a look. "Come on. You know who you want to pick."

"Who?"

"The pair from Four, silly."

Mina's face flushed. "What makes you say that?"

"Oh, come on. I saw the way that you looked at Marilyn during the last challenge. I think you wanna get closer to her. Plus, getting on the Careers' bad side isn't a bad idea."

"No. I'm shy."

"Come on, Mina, we gotta! I'm gonna go bring the package over there myself and if you don't come you're gonna miss out."

"Fine."

~.~.~

After he woke up, Augustus had tried to go out for a run, but was disappointed to find that the door was locked. So instead, he did a pretty intense cardio workout in his room, followed by a nice shower. He was just finishing up when he heard a knock at the door. Augustus threw clothing on faster than he ever had before and came out into the common room just as Marilyn opened the door, revealing the pair from Twelve.

"Oh, hi guys! Nice to see you again!" Augustus said, giving a little wave. "What's this?"

Cam looked to Mina to explain, but the older girl was just looking at the ground and blushing. "Something for the challenge," Cam explained, chuckling a little bit. Either the small girl was clearly more perceptive than she let on or Mina was just incredibly obvious in her emotions. It was probably the latter. "The instructions are in the box."

"Well, thanks guys," Augustus said, looking to Marilyn, who was equally shy. "We'll see you later!"

"Bye!"

As the Twelve girls left, Augustus carefully closed the door, doing his best to not knock Marilyn over. He brought the package over to the table and read the note, then did a quick inventory of its contents. "Marilyn?"

"Yeah?" she said, snapping out of whatever that was. "What's up?"

"Come take a look at this. We gotta pick a team to give these two next."

Marilyn pulled their friendship bracelets out of the box. "We have to do one of the teams in our alliance, don't we?"

"I think so. We'd probably be screwed if we didn't. But which one?"

"So I think the Ones give to the Twos and the Twos give to the Ones no matter what, but I'm worried about Mettius and Titania. Especially after what happened yesterday."

"You're right," agreed Augustus. "I don't get why Noel berated her so hard. And I think they feel more like we do about this alliance than like Girl Pax and Noel do."

"I think you're right."

~.~.~

Mettius and Titania were torn.

"In theory, we should give the bracelets to a member of our alliance," wrote Titania on the notepad they used to communicate.

"Right," Mettius wrote back.

"But I'm nervous about the pair from Eleven."

"Me too. I don't know if they have any other friends."

"Yes. Exactly. Like looking at what's left I can see that there's a few outer district options but those kids are all friends. I don't think the pair from Eleven are friends with them."

Mettius thought for a moment, then took his pen up again. "But if they don't have anyone they're friends with, then they won't know who to give the bracelets to either."

"That is a very smart thought."

~.~.~

When April opened the door, she was surprised to find Mettius and Titania standing there. "Oh, h-hello. What do you need?"

"OK, we don't have much time," Titania said quickly, "so hear me out. For this challenge you have to pick another team to pass this package to. You'll read the instructions so you'll understand. We're worried about you guys succeeding and so we're giving this to you but you have to give it to the pair from One, OK? You don't even have to talk to them. Just go to their door, put this down, ring the bell, and come back here. Got it?"

"Got it," April replied.

"We gotta go. Good to see you guys and good luck!" And with that, they were gone.

"Well, they weren't wrong," April said as she pulled the instructions and their bracelets out of the box. "There really isn't anyone else I can think of to give it to. Do you have any other ideas?"

Xayah shook her head. It was sad, but true; neither girl really had much of a connection with any other team.

"It was really nice of them to think of us though. Maybe we should try to spend more time with them. Would you like that?" Xayah nodded. "Yeah, I would too."

~.~.~

"Altomare, did you hear that?" called Imperioli, who was resting on the couch.

"Hear what?"

"I think there was a knock at the door."

"Hm. Let me check." Altomare opened the door, but nobody was there. "Hm. I don't see anything." He closed the door again.

"Are you sure? Did you look down?"

"Why would I need to look down? Nobody is that short."

Imperioli buried her head in her hands. "Maybe there's something there. Like someone left something for us."

Altomare opened the door again. "Oh, you know what? There is something here." He picked up the package and brought it in, taking a seat next to Imperioli.

"Give me that." Imperioli grabbed the package from Altomare's hands and opened it, quickly reading the instructions inside that came with it. She quickly took some things out of the box, then put the lid back on and gave it back to Altomare. "Go give this to Noel and Mack."

"Like, to their house?"

"Yes. Like go knock on their door and give it to one of them when it opens."

~.~.~

Mack was fiddling with some of his Dungeons and Dragons stuff when there was a knock on the door. "I got it," Noel called gruffly. They stormed out of their room – Noel tended to storm everywhere – and yanked the door open. "Hello."

"Hi Noel. Here!" Pax Altomare thrust a package into their hands, then immediately turned around and walked back to his house.

"Oh," Noel said. They brought the box in and put it on the table right next to Mack, knocking over one of his shields.

"Hey! I was working there!" exclaimed Mack.

"Tough." Noel opened the package and looked inside, pulling out the instructions.

"What do we have to do?"

"We have to find somebody to give this to. Out of these options." Noel gave Mack the box to look at.

"Well, do you have any ideas?"

"I don't care. None of them are people I really like. You can pick. Just don't give it to the team from Thirteen or Six. Atticus should not have beaten me yesterday and I'm not doing the Roost kid any favors." And with that, Noel stormed back off to their room.

Mack looked at the contents of the box. He wasn't quite sure the structure of the challenge, but it seemed as though pretty much every other option was one of the teams in Sigmund's alliance. It probably didn't matter who he gave it to; any of them would just give it to any other of them. Sure, he could give it to Thirteen just to spite Noel, but that would probably put one of his friends in jeopardy, and if he gave it to Six, it might cause Noel to just target his friends more.

And Mack did not want either of those things to happen.

~.~.~

"Oh, hi, Mack," Jack said as he opened the door. "What's up?"

"Here, this is for you. It has to do with the challenge."

"Well, thank you for thinking of us."

"No problem!"

Jack closed the door and brought the box to the table. "Paisley! Are you done there?"

"Yeah, sorry," Paisley called back. It almost sounded like Paisley was in the locked room with the purple door, which was strange to Jack, especially because Paisley emerged from the door to her room. "What's up?"

"Challenge stuff. Look." Jack held the instruction sheet out to Paisley, who gave it a quick skim.

"Whose bracelets are in the box?"

"It's us – well, we're supposed to take ours out, so here you go – Six, Five, Ten, and Thirteen."

"Well, we've gotta protect our alliance first, right? I don't know what they're going to do with the last ones, but we're already down one team and I don't want us to lose more."

Jack nodded. "Yeah. It's what we've got to do."

~.~.~

"Hmm, it's been a while today and there still hasn't been a challenge," Ella remarked, looking up from the drawing of a dress she was coloring in.

"You're right," Sigmund said. "Usually we start by now." He chuckled. "I'm saying usually as if we've been here for more than three days."

"And given how this has been going, I don't think we're ever going to get a usually."

"That's so fair."

Ella held up the piece of paper to Sigmund. "Like it?"

"Not bad! Do you think we need more white? Like are we supposed to use our district color?"

A knock at the door made both kids put their books down. "I guess that's the challenge," Sigmund said. "I'll grab it."

"Thank you, Sigmund."

Sigmund opened the door to a smiling Jack and Paisley. "Hey guys!"

"Hi there! Here's the challenge for you," Paisley said, giving Sigmund the box. Sigmund brought the box to the table as Ella continued to chat.

"It's in the box? What kind of a challenge is that?"

"A this challenge kind of challenge," Jack retorted with a smirk on his face. "We'll see you guys after the results ceremony, yeah?"

"We can't come over now?" Ella asked. "This is the first time all day our door's been unlocked. I wanted to hang out."

"I don't think so. You'll see in the instructions."

"OK, well, catch you later!" Ella said, waving as Jack and Paisley returned to their house. "What's in the box?"

"We gotta pick one of these teams to give the box to. Five, Ten, Thirteen. And it says something about what to do if you're the second to last team."

"So one of the teams in our alliance will be second to last for sure. But I have a feeling…"

"… things will be worse for the last place team," Sigmund finished Ella's sentence.

"Yeah." The two fell silent for a moment.

"I feel bad for the team from Thirteen, but we have to protect our alliance," Ella concluded. "It doesn't really matter who we give it to as long as they give it to the other team."

"The question is who we trust most to follow instructions and not mess anything up."

~.~.~

"Oh, hi Sigmund!"

"Hi, Herman! Where's Kiyo?"

"I think they're in their room."

"Can you grab them for me?"

"Sure."

Herman went over to Kiyo's room and knocked on the door. "Kiyo? It's Sigmund. He wants to talk to you."

"Oh, me?" came Kiyo's voice. "What about?"

"I'm not sure."

After a moment, Kiyo emerged from their room and joined Herman in front of the door. "Hi, Sigmund."

"Hi, Kiyo. Hi, Herman. Here's the challenge for today."

"I don't think I noticed that the challenge hadn't happened yet," admitted Herman, as he took the package from Sigmund's hands.

"Yeah. The instructions we got said that we were supposed to pick who was supposed to do the next step," lied Sigmund, "so we picked Kiyo. It'll make sense when you open the box. You'll know what to do. I'll see you later?"

"Sure!" Herman exclaimed. "See you later." He closed the door and gave the package to Kiyo. "I guess this is for you?"

"Yeah," Kiyo said. They put the package on the table, opened it, scanned the contents, read the instructions, and nodded. "I get what they were saying, and I know what to do."

~.~.~

When Marshall opened the box that Kiyo had dropped off, he was surprised to find that a package that size only contained four little bracelets and a piece of paper. "That's not a lot to be in here."

"That's true," Alder agreed. The two boys read the instruction sheet carefully, then looked back into the box. "If, once you remove your friendship bracelets, there are only two bracelets left in the box, please open the purple envelope taped to the underside of the box and follow those instructions," Alder read. "I think there's only two left after ours."

"Yeah." As carefully as he could, Marshall took the envelope from under the lid and opened it up. "Do you want me to read it out or do you want to read it yourself?"

"Either works."

Marshall cleared his throat. "'Hello, competitors. If you are reading this, there should be two bracelets, both of the same color that is not your district color, in the box.' That's correct. 'Rather than giving the whole box to the next team, please take the bracelets out of the box and walk them over to their house. Do not mention anything about the challenge to them. All will be explained at the results ceremony, which will begin soon after you get back to your house."

"Hmm. Do you talk to the Thirteen kids?"

"Not really. Do you?"

"Nah."

"So let's walk together, yeah?"

"Sounds good to me."

The two boys put their shoes on, then walked over to the Thirteen boys' house. Feeling a little nervous but mostly ok, Alder knocked on the door. After a moment, the older boy answered. "Oh, hello! What's up?"

"Here, we have these for you," Alder said, sheepishly holding out the friendship bracelets to them. "One for you and one for your partner."

"Oh," replied Atticus, seeming a bit confused. "Well, thanks a lot!"

"No problem," replied Marshall, feeling a little guilty. "No problem."

Atticus Peregrine, 15
District Thirteen

Soldier Peregrine was honestly still a little bit unsure how he and Otterson had ended up in the elimination challenge. Violet had been very vague at the results ceremony; she had mentioned something about the most popular team with the Capitol audience being given first place, and that the two teams in the elimination challenge were the least popular team with the Capitol audience and the team that came in last place in the challenge. But Soldier Peregrine did not know what the challenge was. Violet had never announced any sort of challenge during the day; the only unusual thing that had happened was that the boys from Ten had dropped off those black string things, and there hadn't been any announcement that Soldier Peregrine had heard. So if there had been a challenge, Soldier Peregrine could not imagine that he and Atticus had competed in it, much less that they'd come in last.

But did that mean that he and Otterson were unpopular? That did not make any sense. He was a patriotic soldier, and Otterson did some sort of thing that apparently made him popular that Soldier Peregrine did not understand. So there was, logically, no way that they were the least popular team.

But then how did they lose?

Soldier Peregrine decided to push the thoughts out of his brain. It did not matter how they ended up into the elimination challenge; what mattered was that he and Otterson survived it. And there was no way Soldier Peregrine was going to lose.

When they arrived at the Elimination Challenge Arena, Solider Peregrine noticed that the pair from Ten was already there, standing in front of four stalls, one with black walls, one with maroon walls, one with pale blue walls, and one with green walls. In each stall was a soft-looking chair and a desk with a big white board of some sort waiting on it.

"Best of luck, you two!" said Marshall, his voice shaking as he gave them a shy wave.

"You too," replied Otterson, flashing them his trademark smile.

"Hello, competitors! Welcome to the elimination challenge. This morning's challenge was based on the friendships that you have made with the other teams, so this afternoon's challenge is based on your friendships with each other. When I say so, you'll each take a seat in your stall. Waiting for you is a list of fifteen questions. You will answer each question twice; first, you'll answer it as normal, and then secondly, you'll answer it based on how you think your partner would answer it. Once everyone has answered the questions, we will compare answers. For each answer that you and your partner match on, you will get a point. The team with the most points wins. Does that make sense? Good! Please take your seats. You may begin answering the questions whenever you're ready. When you're done, please place your board on the floor in front of your desk so our cameras can verify your answrs."

Soldier Peregrine was worried. He had spent a lot of time training to be a solider, but he was not prepared for something like this. How did you even learn things about other people? He was not supposed to talk to other people unless he needed something from them or unless they were doing something that put another trainee in danger. There was no training for learning about who other people were. How could he answer the questions about Otterson? This was not something he was prepared for at all.

Soldier Peregrine took his seat and began to look over the list of questions. Some of them felt pretty easy to him; Peregrine could deduce decently easy what Otterson's favorite color was and what he wanted to be when he grew up (though Otterson was already grown). But other questions were much harder. How was he supposed to know if Otterson was a morning person or a night person? Or what his favorite food was, or his hidden talent or his biggest fear or his favorite subject in school? Soldier Peregrine had to think really hard to come up with anything that could be an answer to those questions for himself, much less for Otterson.

This did not bode well.

After an agonizingly long time, Peregrine finally came up with answers to all the questions. He put down the marker, then waited, not letting his facial expression betray his racing mind or his frustration with himself show in slumping shoulders. He was the top of his year, possibly the top student in all of St. Harriet's. By all accounts, the Events were his to lose. How could he possibly have failed so badly?

"Competitors!" Violet called. "All four of you are done now. It is time to reveal your answers and tally points.

"The first question was, what is your favorite color? Marshall said Alder's was green, which is correct. Alder said Marshall's was blue, which is also correct. Otterson said Peregrine's was black, which is correct, and Peregrine said Otterson's was maroon, which is correct. So that is a point for all four teams. Good work!

"The second question is, what do you want to be when you grow up? We'll go the other way down the line this time. Otterson wrote that Peregrine wants to be a Peacekeeper, which is correct. Peregrine wrote that Otterson wants to be a propaganda officer for the military, which is incorrect; Otterson put down that he wants to be a filmmaker."

Peregrine didn't know that you could be something that wasn't in the military.

As Violet kept reading out questions, Peregrine noticed a pattern. Both Marshall and Alder would regularly get their questions right, matching each other sometimes even word for word and racking up the points. Otterrson wasn't quite as spot on with his answers of what he thought Peregrine would say, but he still got a decent amount of the answers right. But Peregrine did not get a single other question correct. It didn't matter how confident he was in what he wrote down; almost like clockwork, Violet would say that it was wrong. When the final scores were announced, it wasn't even close; the boys from Ten won by fifteen points.

"Good job, guys," Marshall said energetically as the four boys stood up. He went over and gave both Atticuses a firm handshake. "Well played."

"You two! It was a good battle," replied Otterson. "We wish you the best of luck in the rest of the Events."

"Congratulations, Alder and Marshall. The two of you will remain in the game for one more day. Please return to your house now, and I will see you tomorrow."

Soldier Peregrine watched as the other boys walked away. He was feeling… something in his chest. It was almost painful, the way that it started right at his belly button and built up towards his heart. This was not something that he'd ever felt before, and he was not sure what it was. But he tried not to think about it as he focused on the hovercraft that was descending from the heavens. Once it landed, it let down its ramp to allow the boys to board. They took a seat in the sitting room, Otterson plopping down into an armchair while Peregrine gingerly sat on the couch, sitting up as straight as he could.

After a moment of silence, Otterson asked, "So how do you feel?"

Soldier Peregrine gave him a glare. "I did not win."

"That is correct."

"And you did not win."

"That's also correct."

"You did not win because of me. And I am sorry."

Otterson looked perplexed. "It's not your fault, bro. Some days are just not your day."

"But I did not know how to know the answers to those questions. It is my fault."

"What do you mean?"

Soldier Peregrine could not explain in words what he was thinking. Normally he would not even say anything, but something told him to try.

"I have never known that you could talk to people about things. I did not know that you can have dreams or hobbies or talents. That was not a way that I was allowed to interact with people. They were just competition and never… friends."

"So you have no friends at home?"

"No. I have never had a friend in my life."

"Well, that's simply not true," Otterson said, coming to sit next to Peregrine on the couch. "I am your friend."

Soldier Peregrine was stunned. "You are? Even though I lost?"

"Yes! Just because you had one bad day doesn't mean that I hate you forever. I would love to be your friend."

"But I do not know how to make friends."

"Well, then I can teach you. We've got like another two weeks together. That's more than enough time to learn how to make friends."

Subconsciously, the younger boy relaxed his soldiers, letting himself sink into the comfort of the couch. "I think that I would like that," replied Atticus.

Atticus Peregrine:

What a sad little bean. Peregrine was such a well-constructed character that gave me a great opportunity to explore a little bit more about the culture of District Thirteen. He really broke my heart a few times, but I had a lot of fun getting to help him see a little bit past the confines of St. Harriet's. And now he has a friend, which is honestly what he deserves. Thank you so much to TheMayflyProject for Peregrine.

Atticus Otterson:

Otterson was such a fun kid to write! I loved the opportunity to expand on the worldbuilding of my Panem and the role that entertainment plays in Ruby's country. And when I saw how I had two Attici, I knew he would make the best contrast to Peregrine. I really loved getting to write this awesome dude! Thanks so much to mystical pine forest for Otterson!

~.~.~

So remember when I said that I was gonna get through a nice chunk of the Events over break? Well in the last week I have written half a chapter lmao. The competitions are so much harder to write this time around than they were in IDIDE1 and I don't know why. But I also took time this week to plan so I know all the POVs for the rest of the story! There's a lot of fun stuff in store that I'm excited about!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the chapter! It was a very different format for me to play around with but I think it really conveyed the events of the competition best well, and I certainly had fun with it. What did you think about these challenges? Did any bit of the outcome surprise you? For the record, the teams that went into the elimination challenge were D13, because they lost the AM challenge, and D10, based on popularity scores from your participation forms! Popularity is also the reason that D9 got their advantage in this challenge. There will be two more coming up later in the story. Also, normally I'd add a placement list, but the placements this time around were just in the order the drabbles were in, so if you'd still like one feel free to DM me here or on Discord.

I think if I have a chapter ready to go next week I'll post it even if I have to take a break after. So I'll see you soon enough!
