Marinette, Rudi and Adrien (or rather live footage of Adrien on Marinette's phone) smiled as they watched Nino and Alya play Dance Dance Revolution together.
"They're so in sync with each other," said Marinette.
"I think they make a perfect couple," said Rudi.
"You're right. Someday I hope I'll find someone I can share everything with like they do," said Adrien. He sighed. "But until my father starts letting me go out more often, that probably won't be happening."
Rudi's hands clenched into fists. Marinette noticed and put a hand on his shoulders. "Calm down, Rudi." His hands relaxed. "Are you sure your dad won't let you come? It's such a bummer," she said to Adrien.
"You know how overprotective he is. One day he'll realize I'm not a child anymore, but we're not quite there yet."
"Big finish, here we go!"
"You don't wanna miss this," Marinette said as she showed Adrien Nino striking a one legged pose. Everyone laughed humorously.
Suddenly, a buff woman wearing yellow spider-themed MMA gear entered the room. She kind of looked like an older version of Alya but without glasses and instead of wavy hair, she had dreadlocks. "Aw, shoot. Did I miss the ballet?"
"Nora, is your match over already," Alya asked her.
Alya's older sister dropped her gym bag and punched the air three time. "First round: total knockout. As usual." She whispered to Alya, "I told you a hundred times not to call me Nora in front of people, little sis." She spoke out loud to the others, "The name is Anansi, like the spider."
Alya chuckled and said, "Sure, I'll call you Anansi when you stop calling me little sis."
Rudi looked Nora over. "Why Anansi? Anansi the spider was a trickster and was responsible for bringing stories to the world. You, you're a fighter. I can't imagine you doing the things he did."
"Well of course I'm not him," Nora said with a laugh. "The name is to honor my ancestors. Anyway, what are you all still doing here this late? Don't you have school tomorrow?"
"We're waiting for it to get dark. It's the World Cup fireworks show tonight, remember? We're gonna watch from the Place de la Concorde Ferris wheel."
Nora, hearing that, sputtered the milk she was drinking and slammed the carton down. "Oh no! Baguette, cappie and croissant lover can go with cellphone boy if they want, but you're staying here. It's way too dangerous."
"Sheesh, talk about overprotective," said Rudi.
"But Nora—I mean, Anansi, you can't do that," said Marinette.
"Yeah, no way dude, we're not going without Alya," insisted Nino.
Alya nodded. "Listen, I appreciate you worrying about me and all, but I'm not a little girl anymore. Besides, Mom and Dad are totally cool with it."
Nora tutted and wagged a finger. "There have been way too many akumatized peeps in Paris these last few weeks. Look how many times you've been in direct danger. So you're staying home, safe and sound, period!"
"That's so ridiculous! The twins were akumatized right here at home."
"Well, that would've never happened on my watch. I won't let anybody mess with my family."
Alya made an unimpressed scoff as she folded her arms. "You mean like the other day at the square?"
"What happened?" asked Adrien.
"Well… we came across a man in a banana costume handing out flyers and Nora thought he was akumatized and wanted to turn Alya into a banana-zombie," explained Marinette.
Nora stammered, "Uh...uh...how was I supposed to know it was some stupid costume? And besides, what would happen if the Ferris wheel stopped working 'cause some akumatized dude refused to pay his fare?" She showed off her muscles. "Once you fly-weights can actually defend yourselves like me we'll talk about it."
"It doesn't matter, because Ladybug and Chat Noir would save us if there were any problems."
But the MMA fighter was not convinced with Marinette's words. "Uh-huh. And what if Mister Whiskers is catching a mouse and that Beetle's been sprayed with bug spray? What do you do then?" That made Marinette angry a little.
"Well, there's Big-Head," said Rudi.
That was the wrong thing to say. "Big-Head?! You actually think HE would be our last hope?! He causes more damage than he does to fix it! That creep's answer to a clogged toilet would be to drop a bomb in it!"
Actually, that wouldn't be a bad idea.
"Face it! Ever since that Big-Head came around, Paris became even more dangerous than it already is!"
Nino stood up to the larger woman. "I can protect Alya if I have to," he said boldly.
Nora just laughed loudly. "Oh yeah? And how exactly are you planning to defeat the villain? A dance-off?"
"I'd… do anything to protect Alya." Alya seemed touched by Nino's words.
"Okay, Alya can go out with you guys…" Nora slammed her elbow down on the dining room table. "If… you beat me at an arm wrestle."
"Nino," said Rudi. "Don't be some shining knight defending your lady fair. That woman's a mountain!"
Alya nodded. "He does have a point. I don't need to be protected."
"Nino, you don't stand a chance against Anansi; she's way too strong," said Adrien.
"Thanks for the voice of confidence," snarked Nino.
"Sorry, Nino; I'm sure we'll work something out."
"We gotta go, or else we'll miss the fireworks," said Marinette.
Alya sighed, resigned, "Forget it; you guys go without me."
"NO WAY," shouted Marinette. "Okay, Nino will arm-wrestle you," she said to Nora.
"WHAT?!" Nino and Alya shouted at once.
"Nino will prove his worth to us that he can defend Alya and every one of us, because—"
Alya whispered in her ear, "Marinette, what are you doing?"
"Don't worry. I got this." She resumed talking to the MMA fighter, "Because… uhh, because love and, uh..." She tried to make Nino flex his arm muscles. "Uh...friendship, mmm, make your muscles bulge."
"Oh, yeah, that worked," snarked Rudi.
Nino got a boost in confidence. "Yeah, thanks Marinette." He put his arm on the table and grabbed Nora's hand.
Adrien acted as judge. "All right! In position. Ready. Set. GO!"
Nino attempted to pin Nora's arm down with all his strength. He closed his eyes tight as he gave it all he got...but she didn't even flinch. Rudi could tell by the way she was yawning that she wasn't even trying. He decided to be sneaky. Carefully, making sure no one, not even Nora, was looking, he took a Euro out of his pocket and reflected the sunlight into her eyes. Nora scrunched her eyes close, but she didn't let up.
Suddenly, Marinette shouted, "Over there, an akuma!" Nora turned her head in the direction Marinette was pointing. Knowing right away what was going on, Rudi grabbed Nino's and Nora's hands and pulled them down, making it look like Nino pinned her down. "And the winner is… Nino!" Adrien announced, much to Nora's shock.
"Oops, my bad; it was just a fly," Marinette said innocently.
"Nice save," Rudi whispered.
Nino opened his eyes and was surprised to see he won. "You rock, Nino," said Marinette. "Come on, let's go. If we leave now we'll get there just in time."
Suddenly, Nora punched the table. Everyone was pretty sure they heard it crack. "You're a bunch of cheaters. There's no way I could've been beaten by that fly-weight!"
"Someone's a sore loser," sang Rudi.
"WHAT'D YOU CALL ME?!"
Finally, Alya told her older sister off. "That's it, Nora! You lost the challenge, so deal with it. I've had it with your overprotective big-sis-smothering. I'm going out with my BFFs and I don't care what you think. Alya out." She started to leave, then motioned for Rudi, Marinette and Nino to follow.
"Uh, see you, Nora—I mean, Anansi," said Marinette nervously.
The four of them, with Adrien still on the phone, left and closed the door, leaving Nora alone with her anger and frustration.
The circular window to Hawk Moth's lair opened and butterflies swarmed around him. "A big sister with the best of intentions, unappreciated and unwanted — ideal prey for my akumas." He grabbed one of the butterflies and turned it from white to purple. "Fly away, my little akuma, and evilize her broken spirit!"
Nora was still grumbling as she put her boxing helmet on and punched the air to vent out her frustration. "They don't understand. They have no idea of the dangers. They're so clueless." The butterfly through the window and absorbed itself into her helmet and she heard a deep baritone voice speak into her mind, "Anansi, I am Hawk Moth. They didn't want your support and protection. Well, I'm giving you the power to show them just how dangerous the world really is. In return, you must defeat Ladybug and Chat Noir and bring me their Miraculous. And as a bonus, you must destroy Big-Head and bring me the Mask of Loki."
Nora smirked as black smoke enveloped her. "Let the match begin, Hawk Moth."
"Just in time! Look at that!" Marinette pointed. The car of Place de la Concorde's ferris wheel they were in reached the top, allowing the kids to see the fireworks with the best view. Alya was so happy to be with her friends. However, she noticed Nino looking a bit down. "What's up?"
"Oh, ah… nothing."
Adrien, still on Marinette's phone, said, "Whoa! It's beautiful, thank you, guys." Suddenly, his eyes widened in shock. "Marinette, behind you! I saw something go by; what was it?"
The kids looked out the window and looked around. "I don't see anything. Maybe it was a bird."
Suddenly, the whole ferris wheel shook and ground to a halt. Nino held Alya close. "Dude, please don't tell me we're gonna be stuck up here!"
Alya teased him, "I thought you said you were going to protect us." He blushed.
Rudi looked down and saw a six armed woman wearing a black and yellow suit and a boxing helmet, spinning a web around the ferris wheel. "GIANT SPIDER!" He then realized Alya had taken her phone out. "Alya, this is no time to be filming this!"
"A new scoop for the Ladyblog. Ladybug and Cat Noir should be showing up any minute." Marinette and Adrien suddenly looked nervous when she said that.
"Uh… uh… I think my wifi is losing signal," said Adrien. He got disconnected.
Suddenly, the spider crawled up the ferris wheel and peered into the car they were in. "Well, well. There you are, fly-weights."
"NORA?!" exclaimed Alya, Nino and Marinette.
"Oh, great," said Rudi. "Even the sore loser's been akumatized. Why am I not surprised?"
"I am NOT a sore loser," Anansi shouted as she slammed her fist on the car. "And Nora's not here to protect you anymore. I am Anansi, super-spider." She tore the car right out of the ferris wheel, lifted it over her shoulders and threw it onto the ground. Thankfully no one was hurt. As she landed next to the car, a voice behind her spoke. "All those arms, that's convenient, but you destroyed my scratching post."
She turned around to see Chat Noir. "Need a hand, kitty cat? You're no match for me!" She tried to punch him with all six arms, but he dodged and blocked her blows with his staff. Then she grabbed hold of his ankle and threw him against the center of the ferris wheel; she punched at him there and the ferris wheel started wobbling. She jumped back down to the ground and smirked. "Go fetch."
Chat Noir gasped and saw the ferris wheel come loose and started rolling down the street; he chased away after it. Anansi jumped to the quartet, who had escaped in the interim, and grabbed hold of Alya. "Now that you can't cheat anymore, cappie, show us just how you plan to protect your friends," she said spitefully at Nino. "Come and get her if you're not a fly-weight!" She swung away like Spider-Man, carrying Alya over her shoulder.
"ALYA!" Nino cried as he chased after her.
"Nino, wait!" Marinette tried to stop him, but he wrenched himself free. "I'm not a fly-weight and I don't need your help to prove it!"
"That boy's gonna get himself killed," said Rudi. He turned and saw Marinette about to sneak away. "Where are you going?"
"To go get help!"
Rudi blinked for a while and kicked a pebble. Nobody was around, so he took the Mask out of his backpack. "I should probably help Chat Noir with the ferris wheel first."
Nah, he's got it. Right now we gotta stop that nerd before he gets tangled in Anansi's web.
"I...guess you're right. It's showtime."
It wasn't hard to find Anansi. Just follow the trail of cobwebs to the Arc de Triomphe. There in the center of the Arc was a giant spider web with Alya in the center of it. He raised an eyebrow when he spotted Nino running toward it. "No, don't do it, you nerd," he said to himself.
Anansi dropped down from the web and chuckled at him. "Well, well, well. Look who it is."
The poor boy was completely out of breath as he said, "Anansi! You let Alya go right now!" He held his arms up in a fighting position, but he could barely hold them up.
Anansi just laughed. "Oh yeah? And how exactly is a weak little fly-weight gonna force me to release my prisoner?"
"Don't do it," Big-Head warned. "She's just egging you on."
Nino seemed to take the bait as he charged at her only to get punched into the air with one fist. Ladybug appeared and caught him before setting him down. "You need to leave this to the professionals."
Nino took off running as he called over his shoulder, "This isn't over, spider!"
At that moment, Chat Noir appeared, having finished stopping the ferris wheel and saving everyone inside, and got into a fighting pose along side Ladybug. Anansi smirked. "So it's two versus one now? Fine with me! Round two…"
BLAM!
A huge explosion sent all three of them flying into the air and landing on cars. Anansi was the first to get up and her eyes widened when she saw Big-Head holding a rocket launcher. "I believe the word you're looking for is..." He tossed the rocket launcher away and tore off his clothes, revealing boxing shorts and a pair of boxing gloves. "FIGHT!"
Anansi let out a growl, focusing all her attention on him. "Actually, I've been wanting to get a piece of you for some time now. I haven't forgotten the dick pic you sent on Alya's phone!"
Big-Head raised an eyebrow. "THAT'S what this is all about? That was a long time ago!"
"It's not just that! Your antics endanger her! Do you have any idea how many people you could have killed while battling villains? I'm the only one strong enough," she said as she cracked all her knuckles. "To protect her!"
"Who asked you to be her protector, sore loser?"
Anansi felt her right eye twitched and charged at him, swinging all six of her arms at him, but he dodged the attacks. He saw an opening and punched her in the gut repeatedly and kicked her into a car. She got back up and lifted the car over her head. "Ding, ding, ding, bell's ringin'! Round three. FIGHT!" She threw the car at him, but he rolled out of the way as the car exploded.
Anansi grabbed Big-Head and pulled him into a spine-crushing bear hug, but this made Big-Head squirt blood out of his mouth and into her eyes. As she tried to wipe the blood off, Big-Head tripped her and she fell onto her back. Then he pinned her down. "Someone get the Akuma and end this match!"
But before either Ladybug or Chat Noir could reach for her boxing helmet, Anansi slammed her head against Big-Head's, sending him to the ground. She got back up and clamped all six hands around his throat. "Did you really think you could beat me?"
Big-Head smirked. "Not really. That's why I'm gonna cheat." A safe suddenly appeared out of nowhere and landed on Anansi's foot. She let out a scream as she tried to pull her foot out, but it didn't take a doctor to figure out it was broken. "Well, looks like I win," Big-Head said as he dusted himself off. He raised his hands in the air and shouted, "AND THE CROWD GOES WIIIIIIIILLLLLD!" No one cheered.
"You...green-faced...freak," growled Anansi as she struggled to get her foot free. She let out a choke as he pressed his foot on her throat.
"Looks like the shoe's on the other throat. I'll leave the whole 'No more evildoing' crap to the Ladybird Beetle. I'll settle with 'Nyeah, nyeah!' and 'I win!'" He regretted saying that as black smoke enveloped her.
"Get ready. It's time for a Megakuma," said Chat Noir.
When the smoke finally cleared, where Anansi stood was now a giant, hairy, black and yellow tarantula. She let out a shriek as Alya could only watch in horror. "Nora," she gasped.
The tarantula charged, sending Big-Head flying and sending Chat Noir flying into the spider web just below Alya. He struggled to get out, but his struggles only made it worse. "Seriously?"
Hawk Moth spoke in the spider's head, "Anansi, grab his Miraculous from him. His ring."
On the ground, Ladybug dusted herself off and was about to help Chat Noir when she heard a metallic clang at her feet. She looked down to find Chat Noir's staff. He must have dropped it when Anansi Megakumatized. She heard footsteps approach her and turned to find Nino. "Are you okay, dude—uh, I mean, Ladybug?"
"Yeah, but we're gonna need some help! LUCKY CHARM!" She twirled her yo-yo in the air and its magic created... "A candle?" She had seen this candle before though. "Of course! But I don't have enough time to do a round trip."
"Maybe I could help," suggested Nino. Ladybug looked unsure about that. "I get it. It's cool. I'm no superhero. I'd tried to save Alya, but… guess I'm not strong enough. And I'm certainly not strong enough to fight that overgrown tarantula."
Ladybug smiled and handed him the staff. "Let me tell you a secret, uh…" She pretended like she didn't know his name.
"Nino. The name's Nino."
"When you're facing a supervillain, strength doesn't make a difference. Courage and determination do. We can't let Anansi get Chat Noir's Miraculous. Use this to defend yourself and distract her. I won't be long." She swung away, leaving Nino alone to face the giant spider that looked like it wanted to eat Chat Noir's fluids.
"HEY! ARACHNID!" The spider turned around and saw Nino. She seemed to recognize him as she let out a hissing sound that seemed an awful lot like laughter.
Marinette arrived at Master Fu's massage parlor with Tikki. "Master, Nino won't hold off Anansi for long. She's about to get a hold of Chat Noir's Miraculous!"
"We can't let that happen." Master Fu took the Miracle Box from the gramophone and opened it before Marinette. "Marinette Dupain-Cheng, pick an ally you can trust to fight alongside you on this mission. Choose wisely; such power's on hand to serve a greater good. Once the mission is over, you must retrieve the Miraculous from them. And above all else, do not let Big-Head get his hands on them. If the magics of the Miraculous and the Mask of Loki mix, there's no telling what might happen."
"I need a protective Miraculous." Marinette's eyes fell upon the turtle shell bracelet the old man wore. "That's the one I need, Master! Uh, if it's okay with you."
Both Wayzz and Fu nodded. He took off the bracelet, making Wayzz get sucked into it. "Do you have someone in mind, Marinette?"
"Actually, I think I found just the right person."
Nino was still fighting against Anansi, though he was starting to lose strength as time went on. She tried to sink her fangs into him, but he managed to roll out of the way. She tried to bite her again, only for Nino to hit her in the face with Chat Noir's staff. "So, who's the fly-weight now, huh?" Anansi hissed and tried to bite him again, but he struck her again, this time between the eyes. She let out a screech of pain. "You shouldn't have underestimated me, legs."
Chat Noir, who was still stuck in the web, said to Alya, "Your friend's good at this."
"Yeah, but I sure hope Ladybug comes back before he gets bad at it."
Nino tried to hit Anansi again, only for her to grab the staff with her front legs and toss him into the air. At that moment, Ladybug appeared and caught him before gently setting him down. "Thanks, Ladydude—uh, I mean, Ladybug."
"Thanks for dropping by...dude."
Meanwhile, Anansi refocused her attention on Chat Noir and the ring on his finger. She crawled up the wall and reached for it when he shouted, "CATACLYSM!" Black smoke came out of the ring as soon as he said that.
Hawk Moth shouted in her mind, "No! Don't touch his ring; it's charged with destructive energy!" The spider backed off. "Chat Noir has called on his power but he can't use it. Just be patient and wait for him to transform back. Then the ring will be uncharged once again and you'll be able to take it from him." She crawled to one of the pillars of the Arc and sat there to wait.
Chat Noir nervously said to himself, "Hurry up, Ladybug!"
Ladybug and Nino arrived at the Arc and hid behind an overturned car. She said to him, "I'm gonna need your help again. Do you still wanna save your friend?"
"I'll do anything for her."
Ladybug nodded. Yes, he was the perfect choice. She held up a ring box and opened it to reveal the turtle shell bracelet. "Nino Lahiffe, this is the Miraculous of the Turtle, which grants the power of Protection. You will use it for the greater good."
Nino opened the box and gasped as Wayzz popped out of the bracelet. "Whoa, dude!"
"Hello, my name is Wayzz," said the little kwami.
"Hey little guy, what are you, a genie like in those fairy tales?"
"I am a kwami. I can't grant wishes, but I can give you super powers."
"Once the job is done, you must return the Miraculous to me," said Marinette. "Can I trust you?"
"You bet, dudette."
Wayzz said to Nino, "Then all you have to say is, 'Wayzz, SHELL ON'!"
Nino put the bracelet on and shouted, "Wayzz, SHELL ON!" Wayzz was sucked into the bracelet and in a flash of green, Nino was wearing a green suit with a hood, a pair of goggles and carried a green shield resembling a turtle shell on his back. Nino looked himself over and laughed with excitement. "That's crazy!"
"Stay focused! We have to hurry before Cat Noir transforms back. And we need him to save Alya. LUCKY CHARM!" Ladybug twirled her yo-yo in the air and its magic created...
"Boxing gloves? You're not gonna fight Anansi directly, are you?"
Ladybug's Lucky Vision highlighted the Arc, Nino, and Chat Noir. "Why not? It's a simple plan, but you have to protect us — me, Chat Noir and Alya." She put a hand on his shoulder. "You've already proved you're capable of doing it."
Nino nodded. The two of them jumped from their hiding spot and ran toward the Arc. "Hey, six-hands! Catch this!" Nino threw the shield at Anansi, who jumped down to the ground as Ladybug wrapped her yo-yo around the Arc, creating a makeshift boxing ring.
"Anansi! I challenge you. One round. You win, you get my Miraculous. I win, you release your prisoners. What do you have to lose?" Ladybug heard Chat Noir's ring starting to beep. "In a few minutes, Chat Noir will transform back anyway."
Suddenly, Big-Head appeared, wearing a black and white striped umpire's shirt. "In this corner, defending Paris, a girl dressed in a ladybird beetle costume!" Ladybug stared when she realized she was on camera and gave a meek wave. "And her challenger, a huge, murderous woman shaped like a spider!"
Nino struck his shield with Chat Noir's staff, making a ringing sound. Big-Head looked him over. "Another Miracle Hero? Well, let's hope you're better than Chloe."
"Trust me, I AM better than her."
Anansi hissed, charging at Ladybug, ready to sink her fangs into her, only for Ladybug to jump over her, making her ram into one of the Arc's pillars. It began to crack and rumble a little.
Anansi shook her head, then charged at Ladybug again. And again, the spider only rammed her head into a pillar. This process was repeated a few more times until the whole Arc started to crumble around them. Anansi tried to get away only to get pinned under some rubble.
Ladybug grabbed hold of Nino's waist and said, "It's all up to you, Captain Turtle." She launched themselves up into the spider's web. "Use your power now!"
"At your service, dude—I mean, Ladybug!" Alya raised an eyebrow. Did she really just hear...? "SHELTER!" Captain Turtle (let's hope we're not calling him that permanently) tossed his shell up into the air, and it created a forcefield ball around the foursome. The entire Arc collapsed and the ball fell harmlessly onto the ground.
Big-Head let out a cheer as Captain Turtle deactivated the shield. "And we have a winner by a landslide! Ladybug and...some turtle boy."
"Hey, I have a name," said the turtle-themed hero. "And it's, uh...uh...Carapace!"
Big-Head looked unimpressed with the name. "Well, regardless, we still have to give the champs a prize! Behold!" He held Anansi's helmet. "She dropped this when a rock landed on her head. Care to do the honors?"
Chat Noir took the helmet, but before he could use his Cataclysm on it, he asked Ladybug, "You're not really replacing me with a turtle, are you?"
"You know you're irreplaceable." That made him smile warmly. He touched the helmet and destroyed it, releasing the Akuma inside. "No more evil-doing for you, little akuma. Time to de-evilize!" Ladybug captured the Akuma and purified it. "Gotcha!" She released it. "Bye-bye, little butterfly!" Then she tossed the boxing gloves into the air. "MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!" They exploded into a wave of black and red spots, undoing all the battle damage done.
At the same time, Anansi turned back into Nora. She looked around, confused. "The Beetle and Mister Whiskers? What's going on here? And why is he here?" She pointed to Big-Head.
"Hey, I'm just an umpire, I'm not here to-" POW! Nora punched him in the face, sending him flying across the rooftops.
Chat Noir heard his ring beep again. "Sorry, I gotta go!" he said as he took off.
Alya looked up at Carapace with excitement as she held up her camera. "Whoa, this is a first for the Ladyblog. A brand new superhero! Carapace, did you say?"
"Uh, yeah," said Carapace awkwardly. "That's right."
Ladybug took Carapace's hand. "See you later, bugheads." The two of them swung away, while Alya made a knowing smile.
"And stay connected," she said to the camera before signing off.
The two of them hid behind a dumpster, make sure no one was looking and Nino said, "Shell off." He turned back into Nino and handed Ladybug the turtle bracelet. "Thank you for trusting me."
"You're a true hero, Nino."
Hawk Moth laughed evilly as the circular window began to close. "You're gaining more allies, Ladybug, but don't rush to rejoice. Soon you might just be outnumbered."
Later that day, Marinette, Nino and Rudi met up with Alya and Nora. "Hey, you okay? You weren't too scared, were you," he asked Alya.
"I'm fine. I saw that you tried to save me," she said.
Nino scratched the back of his head and said awkwardly, "Uhm. Actually… no, I didn't do much. It's not like I'm a superhero or anything."
What Alya whispered in his ear stunned him. "I know perfectly well what you're like." His response to her was stammered gibbering.
Nora said loudly, "FLY-WEIGHTS!" Then she cooled herself down and said gently, "Truth is…I did lose the match…and my cool. Sorry about everything that went down."
"No, you didn't lose fair and square," said Rudi. "Marinette and I made you lose on purpose but Nino didn't know about it, I swear."
"Hey! We're cool, guys," Nora said, shaking his hand. He let out a wince as he thought he felt his hand bones crunch. "It's no big deal. Cappie proved that he doesn't need muscles to be strong."
Alya pulled Nora into a hug. "Want a scoop? You're the best."
"What if Nora came with us to the ice rink next weekend," suggested Nino. "It'd be more fun with her, don't you think?"
"You're right, Nino. Besides, I don't even remember the last time I hung out with my big sis."
Everyone, even Nora, had a laugh at the ice rink as the poor woman ended up falling flat on her face multiple times, she was just not used to being on the ice.
As they left the ice rink after one too many face plants onto the ice, Nino suddenly felt something tap his head. He turned around, but found no one. He looked down and saw it was a paper air plane that'd done it. He unfolded it and found a weird drawing: the black outline of a hand with a green turtle in the palm. He thought nothing of it and tossed it into the garbage.
