AN: I had wanted to write this scene in a long time but I had to build up to the right point in the story so canon matches canon. I hope you like it.
ShadoWARmadaN:- This chapter will help clue you in a bit of what's happening with Chaldea behind the scenes. Hope it helps.
worldwanderer2.0:- Penthesilia will come. It's inevitable that Amazons will meet Amazon Queen. It's like meat pie and sauce or coke and fries. Once the timing is right.
Cookie-4IS:- That is actually a brilliant idea with the streaming! I actually have a punchline for that chapter and it works even better if streamed. Plus I can see Da Vinci making all sorts of money off such an event.
Phantom Thief of Hearts:- Thanks for the name reminder. I was trying to remember it off the top of my head. You're always a wealth of information and I appreciate it. After this chapter, there are worse things Nursery Ryhme could find than romance books. Hopefully I can get to the Xenos arc soon. My chapters are short so I can release them faster but with so many servants and so much going on it is a struggle to get through the story the canon way hence from this chapter onwards it can really skew off path as Evilus has to rethink there evil plan. What do you think of their new evil plan?
AzureKaiser:- LOL! The package is being delivered.
PittBullBytes:- Yep Yep and he will start having his own adventures soon.

Chapter 42 – Opening Volleys
Hestia's children had arrived home earlier than she had thought they would. They had returned at night and Bell had immediately went to bed because he was that tired. Shirou and Merlin however joined Hestia, Da Vinci and Shakespeare in a private meeting relaying everything that had happened and all the new information they had gathered. Hestia didn't know if she wanted to be in this meeting as the more information was discussed, the more she realised it could only spell trouble for her. She had thought Evilus was eradicated. Enyo was a new figure that they were to be wary of. Luckily for Hestia she fell asleep early, way before her spirit children who didn't need any sleep.
When the meeting was over, a plan was decided upon and action was to be taken. Shakespeare gave Da Vinci a manuscript to read which she did rapidly. Slight changes were to be made so Shakespeare began work on this for the rest of the night. Da Vinci continued into the night on her parchments, nib pen in hand as she drew into the night. By morning Shakespeare and Da Vinci compared their work and were happy with it.
By the time Hestia had awoken in her bed, she found two books by her bedside. When she looked at the title she became curious but she became glued when she turned the first page and began reading. "DAAAA VIIIIINNNNCCCIIIIII!" She yelled out for her captain as she stormed towards the woman's tent.
Hestia stormed into Da Vinci's office and found her casually doing paperwork. "What is the meaning of this?" Hestia slammed the book onto Da Vinci's table.
"That," Da Vinci pointed to the book, "is our first attack on Evilus as an organization."
"This is an attack?"
"Of course," Da Vinci smiled sweetly at her goddess.
"Explain?" Hestia was blunt.
Sighing, Da Vinci began as if she was explaining things to a child. "Information is power. By disseminating this information to the general public we have just made it very difficult for Evilus to act. If other gods know about what is happening, there will be more eyes watching everything that happens in the dungeon or on the surface. Those involved will also know that we know and that everyone else involved knows. By publishing these two works we have just made it difficult for Evilus to openly act. But you know what the clincher is?"
Hestia leaned over, "What?"
"We published and distributed it today as fiction. So those in the know, realise it's an encoded dissemination of information and those not in the know will just take it as a work of fiction." Da Vinci leaned back on her chair chuckling, "Those pretending to not be in the know will need to pretend this works a piece of fiction so it's now a matter of just watching everyone's reactions. Don't worry, give it time and more clues will pop up."
Hestia shook her head. She wouldn't even start to pretend that she understood everything that Da Vinci planned, but at the end of the day, Da Vinci always delivered. She could only trust her captain. There were other questions she needed answered anyway. "What do you call these two books?"
Da Vinci giggled. "The one with all text is called a 'light novel' and the one with pictures is called a 'manga'!"
"Ok." Hestia understood, "So what's with the titles?"
"Oh, I thought it was apt considering the main protagonist. It's 'Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatte Iru Darou'" Da Vinci crinkled her eyes, "Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon?"
"It's a terrible title! What's wrong with something simple like 'The Legend Of Bell Cranel'?"
"It needed to be catchy and memorable."
"And why did you use Bell as the protagonist and why am I in the story?" Hestia exasperated.
"Well, we figure you and Bell wouldn't mind the copyright infringement."
"Then what about the other gods?"
"Because by including real-life figures into the story it makes the distinction between fact and fiction blurrier making the more curious people, more likely to investigate." Da Vinci just shrugged. "And I don't think the gods would turn down free publicity and luckily there are no copyright laws so any likeness is disclaimered away as 'coincidental'."
"Well, I don't like this Aizu Wallenwatsit character. I think the main love interest for Bell should be me! And why does Aizu look so much like the sword princess? I don't like that development."
"It's only fiction!"
"I thought you said it was based on truths?" Hestia growled, "and where are you guys in the story?"
"I thought it would be better to keep us out of the story so we don't advertise our abilities."
"Well, I don't like the direction the story is taking! Change it!" Hestia yelled.
"We can't…" Da Vinci looked sadly at her goddess. "It's already gone to press and being sold and distributed."
"Hnnnggg… Fine…" Hestia suppressed a yell, "So when is the second volume coming out?"

Freya grit her teeth. She had just finished reading volume one of 'Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatte Iru Darou' that Hestia familia had just published and she was not happy. How had her familia gotten so much information? How were they able to track her movements? How much of the manga was true and how much was a guess? She could only wonder as she stared out the window at the stars. She never saw the satellite watching silently over Orario recording everything that was happening on the surface with a five-second delay.
Hestia familia had done it again. They had gone and surprised her and put her in a tight spot. She would have to be careful about how she proceeded to act from this point on, paying particular attention to Hestia familia. She didn't think they meant her harm, but the blatant display of intelligence gathering they showed unnerved her. It could only mean trouble for her.
Her phone rang and as she picked it up her eyes narrowed into slits at the name displayed. Taking a deep calming breath she answered the phone. "Hello lord Ganesha, what a lovely surprise… Yes, yes, I did receive the new light novel and manga from Hestia… No… Please, it's just a work of fiction, it even says so… I assure you I did not release your monsters during Monsterphilia… Of course… I'll let you know if I get any new information on it."
Luckily gods could lie to other gods. Not that it mattered as they were speaking over the phone. As she hung up the phone, she rubbed her temple willing her headache to go away. Her phone rang again. Who could it be this time? It was going to be a long day.

Loki gripped the side of her manga tightly in her hands. She was furious. The Loki executives had all gathered in Finn's office to discuss the release of the new books. Angrily, she slammed the book on the ground and yelled at it. "That short, cow chested, pigeon-toed, midget loli…"
The group sighed as one knowing exactly why Loki was so furious. "My chest is NOT THAT SMALL!"
Finn shook his head, "Goddess, shouldn't we focus on the more important things presented in this… manga?"
"LIKE!?"
"Like the inference that there must be a second entrance to the dungeon." Riveria added calmly.
"Or that Ouranus is suspicious in all this, not to mention Dionysus and Hermes." Gareth added as he stroked his beard in thought.
"Or the fact that Hestia familia is putting all this information out for public knowledge as a work of fiction." Finn thought hard to himself, "I wonder what they are playing at? This could only drive the players involved further into the underground."
"And the Jewel Fetus creating demi-spirits. Truly, how do they know and where are they getting such valuable information from." Riveria pondered.
"I must admit it will make it harder for everyone to act now with all the increased scrutiny." Finn mused.
"I don't care about all that!" Loki stamped her feet, "How dare they use our likeness. Even I can tell that this Aizu Wallenwatsit character is a blatant ripoff of my Ais! Even the way they dress, the hair and eye colours, they all match up! Whatta they stalkin us or something!"
Finn groaned, Loki was getting off topic again. But he had to admit to himself that Dinn Fiemne, Riverina Las Alfos, Garrod Landstone, Beta Logia, Refiya Virgis, Hirone and Hirona Tiryute were blatant ripoffs of themselves. They didn't even bother altering the artwork. Finn just wanted to get the meeting back on track. "More importantly goddess… If this work is correct then that Revis tamer we met in the dungeon is actually more like some sort of human monster. Able to grow stronger by eating gems. I wonder how true this is?"
The group nodded solemnly as they considered the possibility. "I don't care!" Loki cried petulantly, "How dare they make their Bell fall in love with Ais! He's not worthy of her. And no one got hurt when we accidentally scared up the minotaurs! How did that chibi even know about that!?" Loki took a deep breath before she finally exploded, "AND WHAT'S WITH THE PULLOUT POSTERS OF ALL OUR GIRLS IN SWIMSUITS!?"
ooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo
Ouranus held his hand in his head. He had just finished the last page of Hestia's new light novel and he wanted to cry but could not bring his godly dignity down to do so. "Why Hestia?"
Even though he asked that he knew it was most likely not Hestia's doing but that of her captains. Hestia wasn't the kind of devious god that could concoct a plan such as this. Blatant abuse of mass media, displays of intelligence gathering all covered under the veneer of creating a fictitious story.
What got him however is that he was made out to look the most suspicious. Even the made up scene where Loki had visited him to discern the truth made him look suspicious. He wondered if this was what Hestia familia truly thought or if it was a ruse to spark others to act, others less innocent.
"Fels," he called for his faithful wraith-like servant, "Could you possibly bring me some wine." God knows he needed a drink now.
The spy camera in the ceiling captured everything as they spoke and moved and recorded it with a five-second delayed telecast. Gods seemed to have the uncanny ability to know when someone was watching them even through an intermediary such as a camera, but the five-second delay created a paradox. They couldn't feel someone watching them right now because they weren't, they were watching a recording of what happened five seconds ago. Da Vinci had done a lot of research to work out this weakness in their own abilities and had paradoxed her way around it.

Enyo sat on his seat in the dim, darkness. His hood would've shadowed his face if his mask hadn't already covered it. He was reading a copy of the new manga Hestia had published. He was not amused. His carefully laid plans were being slowly unraveled and released to the public. Although not publicly announced yet in the first volume, he had not wanted anyone to know that Evilus had survived. He shuddered to think what the second volume would reveal.
The sounds of footsteps from the shadows signaled the arrival of his newest ally. "Minamoto no Raiko." He acknowledged her.
"Please… Call me Berserker." She replied as she slung the person off her back and threw her to the floor in front of him. Drawing and slicing her blade was done in one motion as the rope bindings were severed. "I believe she's yours."
"I thank you for saving her."
Revis got up angrily as she shook the rest of the ropes free before she 'tsked' and walked off into the darkness. "I'll be at the usual place eating if anyone needs me." She locked eyes on Berserker one last time before leaving. "I need to get stronger."
Enyo had met Berserker as she was wandering the deep floors months ago and found her extremely capable. She was also not affiliated with any familia which raised questions in him on how she had got so powerful. She felt demonic, yet not demonic, human yet not human and divine yet not divine. Her existence intrigued him. They had kept an eye on each other for a while, not getting in each other's way before one day she had come to him and suggested an alliance. When asked what she wanted, she had honestly told him, straight to his divinity, that her goal was simply to kill Hestia.
Since then Hestia had started to become all sorts of trouble for Orario so he was more than happy to accept although he was still suspicious of her and always on guard around her. Berserker sensed the anxiety in Enyo and asked the cloaked figure, "Hmm… What seems to trouble you?"
Enyo tossed her the manga and she caught it easily. He explained to her what had happened and that they now had to act very carefully as the enemy seemed to know their movements. Suspicious, he asked her, "You wouldn't happen to know how Hestia familia are getting all their information do you?"
"No."
She was telling the truth. He grunted as he tried thinking up counter strategies for it. "Any idea's on what we can do about this?"
Minamoto collected her thoughts for a while before a grin found its way onto her perfectly formed features. "We can discredit the story, or at least make it taken less seriously. We can also discredit and humiliate the characters involved so it all becomes a jumble of stories, counterstories and alternate universe rubbish."
"Oh," Enyo seemed interested, "and how do we do that?"
"For now, gather all your best writers and artists together. Then we'll start producing and distributing various versions of the stories and manga. It's called 'Doujin'." Her grin got wider, "Then we get to work on destroying their characters by creating and distributing what is known as 'Hentai Doujins'."
"What is that?"
Minamoto chuckled as she started explaining what hentai doujin was to Enyo.
It would be a few days later when doujins finally hit Orario. Loki thought she was angry and shocked when she had read the first volume of 'Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatte Iru Darou' but it was nothing compared to when she saw her first hentai doujin of Aizu Wallenwatsit.

Now please review or make any comments or even ideas on more craziness that I could add. I'd appreciate it.
