"Well I'm planning on doing it tomorrow" Blaise said excitedly.

"That's amazing" I squealed, possibly even more excited.

"Yeah so send prayers" he crossed his fingers for good luck in a joking way.

"I wish you the best of luck" I blew him a kiss as we parted ways.

Ah! Blaise was going to tell his mother that he was gay. Go Blaise! Fucking amazing for him. I could only hope that it went as well as I thought it would go.

I walked to the common room, bored. I was avoiding Malfoy and it seemed that he was avoiding me. I'm not sure if he had told anyone of my rather amazing rant. Nev would have been so proud.

I told Ginny. I trusted Ginny the most and I didn't want to intrude on Luna and Athena's blossoming relationship. All while Neville was sulking because he was to afraid to confront Blaise or his feelings.

I was conflicted.

I knew that Malfoy was probably one of the most toxic gits and that I should not get involved with him at all, but he did things to me. His touch. His voice. His flirtatious comments.

Even though I did pretend not to like the comments it made my stomach knot in a good way. It made the butterflies growing inside the cocoons of my stomach release and swarm around trying to escape. He made my cheeks heat up effortlessly. The sound of his voice was enough, when he growled below my ear. When his breaths fan my face and neck.

He was intoxicating and he knew it.

He knew what he did to women.

But eventually I knew that I couldn't be special of anyway. Not even a stupid golden snitch would be able to determine that. The school player, it was probably part of some competition or bet of 'who could get in her pants first'.

Ginny had gone said a full out speech about how she was going to kill Malfoy when she saw him and how he was a horrible git. It was hilarious and really brought up my spirits. She sounded more like she was joking than actually wanted to murder the git.

I walked down the hallway to get to Potions with Slughorn. Athena was going to be in class, as was Neville. Luna and Ginny were a year younger so we didn't have any classes with them.

I entered the classroom where my eyes, for some reason, had set out for the blond haired prat. Why did they? I have no idea, but it was like an instinct, like a ritual.

I walked to take my seat next to Athena and behind us was Neville sitting with Seamus Finnigan. That partnership would not do well, it never did well. Although, Slughorn didn't know that. Yet.

Professor Slughorn walked into class loud and proud with a gigantic smile on his face. I don't know why, but he always reminded me of an owl. Especially when he was wearing his hat.

"Can anyone tell me what this potion is sitting right in front of me?" asked Slughorn and on que Hermione's hand shot up where I stifled a chuckle.

The potion was in a vial and it was a light brown color. It was room temperature and looked a bit murky. Kind of like chocolate milk.

"Yes Ms.Granger" he called on Hermione like every single class we had, it was routinely.

"That is Babbling Beverage" she answered. "The person who consumes this would start to uncontrollably speak nonsense until given the antidote or when the potion wears off."

"Five points to Gryffindor" said Slughorn as Hermione smiled triumphantly. She was so cute when she was being overly nerdy.

"You will be partnering up in pairs that I have created to make this exact potions" he said holding up the murky light brown looking liquid.

Everyone was waiting to hear their pairs. It's not that anyone had exact grudges on each other, it was more if you were paired with the smart people or not. So basically everyone wants to be paired with Hermione. Well maybe except some of the Slytherins.

"Mr.Longbottom and Mr.Finnigan" he announced and everyone started laughing. I remember when everyone was gossiping about their first potions lesson because Neville and Seamus were far from an ideal pair. I wonder if they could top their explosion from first year.

Snape had been smart enough to never pair them again, but Slughorn had no idea what destruction he had just created without doing a thing.

"Mr.Thomas and Mr.Boot."

"Ms.Granger and Ms.Wood"

"Suck it losers" I yelled cheering while almost everyone glared at me and Hermione gave me an amused smile as she shook her head.

"Ms.Blackwood and Mr.Malfoy." I looked to Athena who was not as disappointed as she should be. She had a smirk on her face which made me confused.

Slughorn continued with the pairs and then told us to move our seats. I walked over to Hermione who of course was already getting the potion started.

It was a fairly beginner potion so it should be easy for us to brew. Hermione was to smart for her good and I was decent enough at potions.

"Okay can you pass me the alihosty leaves please" she said reaching her arm out. I handed her the container as she took 5 grams of it and put it into the boiling water, 500 milliliters to be precise.

I walked to the closet where I grabbed the rest of the ingredients we needed. It wasn't that I was short, it was just that the container was extremely high. Yes, that's what I'm telling myself.

The armadillo bile was sitting all the way at the top of the cabinet and let me tell you this cabinet is like 6 feet. My 5'6 ass even on tippy toes cannot reach. 5'6 isn't short, right?

A body came behind me, pressing on me a little bit. Nothing that bothered me though. As I kept trying to jump for the bile without knocking down the rest of the ingredients a pale, almost white veiny hand with multiple rings took the armadillo bile and handed it to me.

"Oh thank you" I said turning around, my eyes blown wide.

I hadn't been this close in proximity with him since I yelled at him. I looked at him for a good, like 2 seconds until I realized I got to get back to Hermione. Yeah, that was definitely the reason.

"No problem" I thought I heard him say in a quiet. Most likely my imagination.

"Here Mione" I said handing her the bile.

"Great timing" she said added the 5 milliliters of when the potion cooled down to a room temperature. She had already added the dried billwig. Hermione stirred the potion 5 times counter clockwise.

Athena Blackwood was watching Draco Malfoy stir the potion since the arrogant brat had insisted on doing everything himself. Athena was atrocious at potions like she was atrocious in every class.

They were going to test the Babbling Beverage once everyone was done brewing it and they were almost done no thanks to Athena. Athena didn't have potions in mind though, she had a plan.

Once they tested out the Babbling Beverage she was going to see what things he could say about her. What things he had to say about her.

"Neville I don't think that's supposed to be happening" Seamus Finnigan yelled moving away from the cauldron.

"Neville RUN!!"

Seamus Finnigan and Neville Longbottom ran to the back of the classroom waiting for the catastrophe to happen.

And it did.

The cauldron was bubbling like a volcano waiting to erupt. The liquid was not a brown color but a lava red color. The liquids and contents were spilling from out of the cauldron.

The cauldron looked like it was going to implode on itself and get eaten up by the liquid. Like the potion was acidic and burning through the cauldron itself.

It exploded.

The liquid shot up in the air like a real volcano. It burned holes through the cauldron so it began to leak on the floor. The liquid hit the ceiling causing a hole to form in the ceiling. It being disintegrated from the touch.

"Move" Slughorn yelled as everyone scrambled out of the classroom to not get burned or scorched.

Outside the door while Slughorn was inside the classroom dealing with the situation we all burst out into fits of uncontrollable laughter. Neville and Seamus making a mess made us all feel a sense of normalcy again.

Like the war never happened.

And it was just entertaining as hell. Sure I could've died, but now Slughorn knows why we never partner Neville and Seamus together. They are definitely not the ideal potion making duo.

"Athena you know Veritaserum would be the only way to get someone to tell the truth" Ginny Weasley said as she and Athena walked down the hallways to lunch.

"Damn it, I thought maybe the Babbling Beverage would have him talking all about her" she sighed frustrated.

"This is why you failing potions" Ginny shook her head disapprovingly.

"I'm not failing, I'm barely passing" Athena put her hands on her hips. "There's a difference."

Ginny laughed. "You would need to get Veritaserum."

"And do you know where I would go about finding this?" she asked.

"Slughorn might have some" Ginny shrugged.

"I'll steal some, I got this" she patted herself on the back. "I can be stealthy" she made hand movements pretending she was a ninja.

Ginny was holding her stomach trying to stifle the cackles that were coming out of her mouth. Athena was so simple minded, but they loved her just the way she was.

Though Athena had always thought: Some people have street smarts and some people have book smarts

She was neither in both cases.
