I hope you guys are still enjoying this story, this chapter has some talks about IVF treatment, I got my information on Google, but not going to do too much in depth with it because I'm not a scientist. This chapter does include some M rated goodness as well. Enjoy!
"See Maura, I told you that if you came inside you'd distract me from just changing my clothes," Jane looked at her wife in amusement, her hand resting on Maura's naked hip bone.
"Well, what can I say, I'm glad that I could distract you from everything going on lately," Maura nuzzled her face against Jane's neck. "And you didn't seem too bothered when you were in the middle of your orgasm."
Jane smirked at her wife, "Well, what can I say, you know how to get me all aroused. Once you get me going I don't exactly want you to stop."
"Shall I continue to please you some more then?" Maura pulled back to look at her wife.
Jane sat up and shook her head, "Maybe later, we really should head back to the hospital."
"If you're sure," Maura would much rather stay here alone with Jane, but they had already been gone for almost an hour. And it was an hour longer than Jane planned to be gone.
"I'm sure," Jane got out of bed and went to get dressed. Maura just watched her, not making any efforts to move. When Jane got done changing she looked over at Maura. "Don't you want to get dressed?"
Maura focused her attention on Jane and nodded, "Yes, of course. I was just a little distracted is all," she responded before putting on some clothes.
Soon enough they were back in the car and on their way to the hospital. The ride was spent in silence, Jane kept one hand on the steering wheel and the other on Maura's knee. For some reason Maura seemed really tense, Jane really hoped it wasn't because she kind of just blew Maura off for another round of sex. Jane had a lot on her mind and she wasn't sure she'd enjoy herself again. "Are you alright Maura?" Jane asked as she pulled into the hospital parking lot.
Maura looked at Jane and smiled, "Yes, of course I'm fine."
Jane raised a brow, "If something is bothering you, you'd let me know, right?"
She leaned over and pressed her lips against Jane's, "I assure you Jane, I am doing just fine, and yes I'd let you know if something was bothering me," she took off her seat belt and left the car. Jane shut off the car and locked the door before walking beside Maura, reaching out for her hand linking their fingers together. Maura glanced up at her wife and smiled, squeezing her hand. "Hi."
Jane laughed, "Hey," she opened the hospital door for her. "After you m'lady," she gave a small nod.
"How kind of you," Maura curtsied.
"You're such a dork," Jane shook her head, amused by her wife.
Maura just smiled as they made their way to the waiting room. Kate and Todd rushed over to greet them, noticing the adults arrive.
"We got to go see baby Julian!" Todd jumped on the balls of his feet.
"He's so small, did you guys see him yet? Uncle Tommy took us, one at a time," Kate told them.
"We got to see him, yes," Maura patted her head.
"Have you both been behaving when you're with Frost and Tommy?" Jane asked and the twins nodded.
"We always behave Jane," Todd told her.
"Well that's good then. You guys ready to come back to my and Maura's house tonight?"
"Do we have to?" he asked with a pout.
"Yes, we have to get in a good routine, you guys can both still visit your uncles and grandparents, but your main residence is at ours. We should probably get adjusted to that. Plus I'm sure your uncles could use some alone time," Jane explained and Todd hung his head.
"Okay."
Maura glanced at Jane with a look of concern, she squatted down to get on the younger boy's level. "What's wrong Todd?"
"Nothing."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes ma'am," he nodded, turning to look at his sister who was frowning at him. "Can I go back to sit with Uncle Tommy."
"Of course you can. If there's anything you need you can tell me or Jane, you know this right?"
Todd nodded again, before going back to sit next to Tommy who was in a conversation with Crowe, who both looked up realizing Jane and Maura were in the waiting room.
"Is your brother doing okay?" Maura turned to ask Kate.
Kate shrugged, "He hasn't said much to me. He bonded to Uncle Tommy a lot. I don't think he wants to be anywhere else. Maybe he relates better to him because they're all boys. I like being with you and Jane," she shrugged again, looking at the two adults. "I'm kind of hungry. Can we go down to the cafeteria?" she asked hopeful.
"You can go with Maura, I have to discuss something with Detective Crowe," Jane told her.
"You mean Uncle Crowe," Kate corrected. "He got married to Uncle Frankie."
"I'm still going to go with calling him Detective, it's more comfortable for me," Jane smiled down at her.
"Okay," Kate smiled back grabbing Maura's hand, pulling her to the cafeteria. Jane watched them disappear, she turned around just as Darren Crowe approached her.
"Hey Jane, guess now's a good time to talk."
She nodded, "Yes, I guess so," she sat down in the nearest chair, Crowe sitting next to her. "So what is this all about?"
"Frankie told me that he mentioned to you about him and I getting married."
"Yeah he did. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it, you being married to my brother. All I know is I want my brother to be happy because seeing him upset causes me to be upset," she spoke in a serious tone.
"I know, I hate seeing him upset too. Has he said to you how he's been feeling about the marriage thing?" Crowe rubbed his hands on his jeans. "Frankie tells me he's fine about it, but there's something in his eyes that say otherwise."
Jane sighed, "To be honest Crowe, I really think you should discuss this with Frankie. If you guys are going to be married you are going to have to communicate better between yourselves. I'd really prefer not to be the middle man in your relationship."
Crowe frowned, not exactly happy with Jane's response. "I had a feeling you'd say something like that. I just feel at a loss because he can't talk to me. Not a great way to start off a marriage. Maybe doing so was a mistake, but I was certain it was something he wanted. Why does Frankie have to be so confusing?"
"You definitely need to talk to Frankie about this. Maybe things will be alright for the both of you," Jane suggested and Crowe sighed sadly.
"Maybe, I just... what if he regrets being with me, deciding that maybe we shouldn't be together at all?"
"Well then, you will just have to deal with that. Not everyone gets a happy ending Crowe. I'm sure you guys can work it out," Jane patted his knee. "I'm going to go check up on my mother now. Are you going to be alright?"
Crowe shrugged, "I guess so."
"Good," she got up from the chair before heading towards her mother's room. "Hey Ma, where's Korsak?"
Angela turned to face her daughter, sitting up in the bed, "He went to go visit Julian, the doctor said he's been letting people see him one at a time. I've been a little too sore to get up and go see him. I plan to visit him soon." She paused before continuing, "Vince was telling me that you are mad at him, you know he had no control over what happened to me."
Jane leaned back in the chair and sighed, "Yeah, I know. I don't know why it's come as such a surprise to people with how I reacted. I was scared shitless once they called for a code blue, I may have overreacted, but it was for good reason."
"Well I'm awake and doing just fine now, minus the pain from my c-section. Vince really hates when you get mad at him, you guys are usually so close, and it will make me feel better if you made up with him. Can you be polite to him for me? Everything is going to be alright. You don't want me to be upset, now do you?" Angela frowned, causing Jane to roll her eyes.
"Really Ma? Of course I don't want you to be upset, that's honestly the last thing I want you to be."
"So you'll apologize to him?"
Jane sighed in frustration, "Fine, I'll apologize and accept his apology as well."
"Thanks," Angela smiled. "Sometimes I worry about you and how you react to certain things."
"You could have died Ma, you can't exactly blame me for how I reacted."
"I know, but you promised you'd be mature about it if I did end up dying, that you guys will all cope with it together."
"I know Ma, I know I promised, but I thought you were just talking, I was trying to ignore the fact that there was a chance I could have lost you, that we all could have lost you. Can we please change the subject?" Jane asked, she really didn't want to discuss a life without her mother.
"Sure, are you still deciding that you want to get pregnant?"
"Of course Ma, I still want to have a baby. I want to be a mother, nothing is going to change my mind. That's the whole point of me getting a safer job, one that doesn't have me put in much danger." Jane rested her hand on her mother's. "You're still going to help me right?"
Angela nodded, "Of course sweetie, I will always want to help. It's a big change, but I'm proud of all your goals in life. All you kids have been making me pretty proud. I haven't got a chance to see Frankie today, is he doing alright with everything? When Darren came to see me all he told me is that him and Frankie got back together."
Jane shrugged, "Honestly, I don't know what's going on in his mind, I always thought Tommy was hard to read. Frankie seems to be really struggling with a lot of things. It's quite concerning. I think his emotions are all over the place. Crowe is even having a hard time understanding Frankie."
"Well I hope that he's going to be alright. You know, I never told Frankie this, but Gwen got in touch with me the other day."
Jane released Angela's hand, her jaw dropping, "She what? What did she want?"
"She asked me how Frankie was doing. She didn't seem too pleased when I told her that Frankie was with someone else."
"Well, I think it's a good thing that you didn't tell Frankie, he was really depressed when she left him, she definitely doesn't deserve him," Jane hated how Gwen just left and acted like she didn't even care about her brother. "She really fucked him up, that's for sure."
Angela nodded her head in agreement, "Although I don't like your choice of words, I agree with you. I don't plan on telling him, but she mentioned that she was planning on moving back to Boston, permanently."
"Shit Ma, that's not good. If she comes back I bet she's bound to interrupt Frankie's life," Jane ran her fingers through her hair. "Maybe we need to tell him, to warn him... I know he'd be more pissed if she blindsided him and if we knew about it. When you say the other day, when was that exactly?"
"The day after your birthday, she messaged me on Facebook told me to wish you a happy birthday, I didn't though, but she doesn't know that. I hope that her return doesn't cause any damage to Frankie's relationship with Darren."
"I'm sure if something damages their relationship it's not going to be because of Gwen's return."
"What does that mean Jane?" Angela asked and Jane shook her head.
"Nothing."
"Are you sure?"
Jane nodded, "Yeah, I'm not trying to get involved in their relationship all that much. I'm sure Crowe would appreciate that, me trying not to butt in. They have to learn to get through things together, like me and Maura, we talk and we can get through everything."
"I'm glad you have Maura to help you through the hard parts of life," Angela smiled, nodding towards the door where Maura just entered. "Hey Maura, we were just talking about you."
"Only good things, I hope?" Maura smiled and Jane nodded.
"There's not exactly anything bad we can say about you Maura. Always good things."
"Well that's very reassuring," Maura sat down next to Jane, turning her attention to Angela. "So, is everything going alright with you Angela?"
"Things are good, can't complain except for the pain in my stomach, but that's to be expected. I have no chest pains, so that's a good sign."
"Well I'm glad, we were really worried about you," Maura patted her hand. "We're very glad and immensely relieved that you're doing well now." The girls continued to make small talk to keep Angela company and their minds off other things.
Within the next few days Angela had gotten released from the hospital, Julian still had to stay for observations, he had a little more growing to do in the incubator before he could get released. Maura and Jane had finally chosen the sperm for the IVF treatment, it was a long process, Jane approached her next step which included ovulation stimulation where she had to take daily injections of hormones. Maura would help Jane with that part, Jane didn't feel like she could do it herself, plus Maura was a doctor as well and would know the best way to give a shot. She had to keep doing it for about ten days.
Currently everyone was at the Rizzoli-Isles household for dinner. Frankie had kind of been distant towards everybody the last few days. Jane had to warn her brother that Gwen might be coming back to Boston, Angela hadn't got any more messages from the girl. And Frankie was also going through some stuff with Crowe. They agreed on getting an annulment, and ever since the paperwork went through Frankie had been avoiding the other man outside of work.
Tommy and Frost had set a date for their wedding it was going to be on Labor Day, the first Monday of September. The boys decided that they'd get married at Fenway Park, Jane was completely jealous about it, but she was so glad that Tommy and Frost have been making their relationship work. They spent the last couple of days moving Frost's things at Tommy's house, figured it'd be a better place to live than at Frost's apartment. Jane offered to help the boys move but Maura insisted that her wife take it easy while they were in the middle of the IVF process, she didn't want anything to go wrong.
It was Jane's last weeks of work as Sargeant Detective and she decided she would take her long overdue vacation days. She had up to six weeks stacked up in time off so she wanted to use them up, plus Maura approved of Jane not working at this time, except for starting her client list for her life coach job. Everything was set up in the guest house for Jane's work. Jane apologized to Korsak but their friendship was still a little tense, everyone sort of noticed it at dinner. Except for the twins, they were oblivious to the obvious tension.
After dessert Frost, Tommy and Korsak retired to the living room to watch a baseball game. The twins were helping Maura clean up and Angela who was supposed to be taking it easy for the next few days, was in the middle of a conversation with Frankie at the dining room table as Jane went to go feed Chad the tortoise.
"So, is there any certain reason why Darren didn't join us for dinner?" Angela asked her son.
"He's been busy doing things at work. He's the new Sargeant Detective so he wants to get everything in order. I personally think this position is getting to his head, he likes to be in charge, he has taken a little too much joy in knowing that Jane isn't going to have to tell him what to do anymore. I know why they don't exactly want someone on the outside to take over because with the whole Lieutenant Anthony thing."
"Is that the only reason he's not here?"
"What other reason would there be Ma? We got our marriage annulled and we agreed it was for the best," Frankie shrugged, "It's not like we broke up or anything."
"I just worry about you is all, you're the only one of my children who doesn't seem to have things in order. I wouldn't be so concerned, you just seem to not be very happy about things. Part of me thinks it's because what Gwen did to you. You are afraid to open up to things because there's a chance you could get hurt."
"I'm not afraid of anything and you don't need to be concerned Ma, I'm fine. And Gwen went to take care of things in New York, it's not exactly her fault she had found her way back to her ex boyfriend. It's not her fault she abandoned me after she seemed like she wanted to be a part of this family. That she just gave up and didn't even want to try the long distance relationship thing," Frankie frowned. "It's not her fault that she wasn't really in love with me."
"Honey, it's not your fault either. She was being selfish when she left and she only seemed to care about herself. You didn't do anything wrong. Things just happen, but Jane was right, Gwen is probably the whole reason you're unsure about love and everything. Not sure if you're deserving of love from someone. You deserve an amazing love and I'm positive that one day you'll be happy and have less doubts of things. You're just as strong as Jane, you just need a little boost in the right direction, and I think this direction is Crowe. I want you happy Frankie, that's what I want for all of you kids."
Frankie sighed and nodded, getting up from the table, "Thanks for the input and support of my happiness."
"You're my son, it's no problem at all," Angela reassured her son with a smile.
"I think I'm going to head home."
"Of course, I'm always here for you Frankie, no matter the time or day."
Frankie smiled and kissed the side of his mother's head. "Thanks. You take care of yourself," he left the dining room and said his goodbyes to everyone else before leaving for the night.
After Maura and the twins got done cleaning up the kitchen, she got them ready for bed, tucking them under the comforter in their makeshift bedroom when Todd sat up, wiping his tired eyes. "I don't want to go to sleep yet Maura."
"Todd, it's 9 o' clock, we're trying this routine of getting you to bed at a decent time, so it'll be much easier when you start school," Maura explained, like she had to do the past couple of nights.
"But I'm not tired," he pouted, Kate frowned at her twin.
"Todd be polite and listen to Maura," she gave him a nudge.
"Don't push me Kate," Todd growled and shoved her much harder than she shoved him.
"Ow!" Kate's eyes filled up with tears. "You hurt me."
"You pushed me first!" Todd shouted, trying to squirm out from underneath the covers.
"Hey, would you two please behave?" Maura frowned at the twins.
"She started it," Todd pouted.
"You're being the poo head Todd," Kate wiped her eyes. "Can I stay in your room tonight?" she asked Maura with pouty eyes.
"As much as I would love to tell you that you can, you have to stay here with your brother. You guys look out for each other, remember? And these sleeping arrangements just work best, you understand that right?" Maura spoke softly. "I know sleeping in the same bed together can be uncomfortable, but maybe I can talk to Jane about getting a bunk bed or something, so you guys don't have to be joined at the hip while sleeping. But Todd you need to work on your attitude, I can't award bad behavior, but I don't want to punish you both by forcing you two to sleep in the same bed. Can you do that for me and Jane, behave like how you do for Uncle Frost and Uncle Tommy? We're going to need all the help we can get around here."
Todd nodded with a frown, "I'm sorry for shoving you Kate."
"I'm sorry for starting it," she apologized and gave her brother a hug.
"See, now that wasn't so hard, was it?" Maura kissed them both on the top of their heads before turning on the nightlight and shutting off the ceiling light. "Good night and sweet dreams," she whispered before closing the door. Maura turned a little too quickly almost whacking Jane in the face. "Shoot Jane, I didn't hear you coming."
"Well obviously," Jane laughed before turning serious. "I heard some fussing up here, thought I'd check if everyone was okay. Everyone else cleared out a few moments ago. I told them I'd tell you they said goodnight."
"Everything is fine up here, they just were bickering a bit, Todd didn't want to go to bed. He's been really stubborn lately and it's quite concerning," Maura spoke as they headed to their own bedroom, closing the door behind them.
"It's probably not easy for him to keep on switching locations, going between so many homes, it's probably really rough on him. Plus the longer they go without Camille, the harder it can probably be at that young age," Jane mentioned as she changed into her pajamas. "But luckily I'm taking time off so they don't have to be moved around a lot during the day."
"Are you sure everything is going to be alright when I'm at work and you're at home?" Maura asked sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Yes Maur, I'm sure everything is going to be fine, watching them isn't so hard, even though they aren't really fond of watching TV because that's the best kind of distraction. But there's a lot of things we can do around the house while you're away, plus I'm more than certain I'll always have someone over visiting to help out. You don't have to worry about us," Jane sat down next to Maura patting her leg. "I can handle anything, remember?"
"Of course I remember, and I think it's a good thing they don't like watching too much TV. I'm glad that they like doing art it really helps their brain development."
"Some things on the television is educational, that's what you usually use it for, educational purposes. A little TV hadn't harmed anyone."
"Yes Jane a little bit of TV not hours and hours of it at once."
"I don't recall the last time I watched TV for hours Maura."
"I wasn't refering to you Jane, I was mostly talking about Korsak and Tommy, they sure like to plant their butts on the sofa to watch it whenever they come over."
"Well they are just a bunch of bums, is all. At least I'm not a bum," Jane smirked, planting soft kisses along Maura's jaw. "I like doing more physical activities."
"Yes Jane, I'm more than aware of that," Maura closed her eyes, tilting her head to the side, smirking as Jane moved to sit on her lap, her legs on either side of Maura. "Jane, what are you doing?"
"What does it feel like I'm doing," Jane smiled, removing Maura's top, tossing it onto the floor, her lips continuing her kisses, her right hand slid into Maura's underwear. Maura moaned softly as Jane's finger ran against her slit, teasing her for a moment before sliding her finger inside of Maura with little bit of force as her tongue licked at her already hardened nipple.
Maura groaned, tangling her hand in Jane's hair, rolling her hips upwards as Jane fingered her. "Oh.. shit..." she rode her finger, cursing as Jane entered another one harder than the first, suckling at her nipple in the process.
Jane hummed against her breast before focusing on Maura's other breast, wanting to give both equal attention. She entered a third finger pumping hard as she could, loving the sound of Maura's grunts as she began moving against her fingers faster.
Maura tightened her grip in Jane's hair, arching her back as she came hard against Jane's fingers, groaning as she flopped down onto the mattress. "Shit."
Jane looked down at Maura with a huge grin on her face. "I take it that you enjoyed yourself."
Maura nodded brushing her bangs out of her face, "I really did. You seem pleased with yourself."
"That was the quietest orgasm I ever heard you have," Jane smiled laying down next to Maura. She licked her lips as Maura took Jane's hand, her mouth lowering onto Jane's fingers with her own juices on them. She sucked on Jane's fingers slowly, running her tongue slowly over each one. Jane closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling. "I love it when you taste yourself, it's so fucking sexy," she responded when Maura finished her task.
"I kind of feel guilty for not sharing myself with you. I think I know how to fix that," she bit her bottom lip before moving so her lady parts were hovering over Jane's face. Maura closed her eyes as she lowered herself down onto Jane's lips, her knees buckled as Jane's tongue flicked at the entrance, finding Maura's clit and suckling at it just like she done to Maura's nipple. Maura grabbed onto the headboard, whimpering as Jane's lips buried themselves into her. "Mother fucker," she moved against her, hearing the sounds of Jane's mouth sucking at her folds. "Shit," Maura already felt her knees growing weak, "Oh yes, right there..." she grunted as Jane fucked her with her tongue. Maura tossed her head back, her whimpers grew louder. She managed to roll down against Jane's lips. Her back arcing as she froze, her orgasm taking over her whole body, she didn't have it in her to be quiet and she shouted out Jane's name, feeling herself twitch as she removed herself from Jane's mouth. She laid down on the mattress next to Jane.
Jane licked her lips. Before she could open her mouth to speak, Maura kissed her like her life depended on it, moaning as she could taste herself mixed with the warmth of Jane's tongue. Maura rolled on top of Jane, sucking hard at her wife's tongue. She felt Jane's hips jerk up against hers, rolling up into her wife. Maura pinned Jane's arms down pulling away from her lips, just to look at her. "You're such a beautiful soul, I am so lucky to have you as my forever lover. No one has ever in my entire life got me to feel like you make me feel. You're so fuckin beautiful all the time," Maura whispered before running her tongue against the back of Jane's ear before sucking at the lobe.
"You sure have a way with words. I could get used to you riding my face like that, your beautiful lady parts," Jane whimpered. "You're so sexy Maura," she whispered as Maura's teeth scraped against her ear.
"Is that so?" Maura smirked at Jane's words before focusing her attention on Jane's other ear.
"Yes, very much so," Jane whispered feeling herself twitch at Maura's seductive techniques. "You're the sexiest person I've ever laid my eyes on," she added as Maura pushed up Jane's shirt, her mouth latching onto Jane's nipple. Jane's hand went to tangle in Maura's soft honey blonde hair, "And you're so skilled at what you do."
"I was at the top of my anatomy classes Jane," Maura stated matter-of-factly as she removed her mouth from Jane's nipple in order to respond. Before she could focus her attention on Jane's other nipple, they heard a knock on their bedroom door, and Maura moved away from Jane as she heard the sniffling cries of Todd. She went to put her shirt on as Jane tugged her own shirt down to cover her breasts and stomach.
"Maura, I had a bad dream. Can I come in?" he asked just as Maura opened the door. "D-Did I wake you both up," he noticed Jane sitting in bed, running a hand through her hair.
"No sweetie, you didn't wake us up," she squatted so she was on his level. "What kind of dream was it?"
"A scary kind," he hiccuped. "I got chased by a scary dog, Kate tried to block him from getting to me but he ended up dragging her by the leg into some bushes. I couldn't move as I heard her screaming," he sobbed, rubbing his eyes.
"I'm really sorry you had this dream, Jane and I won't let any dog take you or Kate away. Jane and I will always do anything we can to protect you both. It's our duty as guardians to protect you and your sister," Maura spoke softly. Jane observed the two of them and her heart warmed at their interaction. "How about we go downstairs and I can make you some tea that can help with those nightmares."
Todd nodded, "Can Jane come too?" he asked, looking at the other woman, Jane smiled at the boy and nodded, getting out of the bed.
"Of course I can," she rested her hand on his shoulder. "Maura does make the best tea, doesn't she?"
Todd nodded at Jane's question, before taking her hand as they went downstairs. Jane helped Todd sit on the stool in the kitchen, sitting down next to him as Maura started making the boy some tea. "I'm sorry if I ruined your alone time with Maura," he spoke quietly to Jane with a frown.
"Hey, there's nothing to be sorry about. Plus Maura and I have plenty of time to be alone. You matter, and you deserve to feel loved whenever you get scared. We are here for you Todd, we'll always be here."
Todd rested his head on his hands, his eyes closing for a moment until the sound of the teapot, causing Todd to jerk his head up, luckily Jane was next to him to steady him so he didn't fall off of the stool.
"Woah there buddy, we don't want you to fall now," she rubbed his back. Maura watched them as she filled a mug with the hot water and teabag.
"Let it sit for a moment before you drink it," Maura directed, letting out a small yawn. Jane smiled up at Maura, her yawning was really adorable to Jane for some reason.
"You should get some sleep Maura. Me and Todd will be fine down here by ourselves. I'll be up in a bit," Jane spoke softly and Maura nodded.
"Only if you're sure," she glanced over at Todd who blew at the mug of warm water. "You enjoy that tea of yours Todd."
"Yes ma'am," he nodded, Maura leaned down to kiss the top of his head before turning to Jane kissing her on the cheek.
"If I'm asleep when you come back up, I'll see you in the morning," Maura smiled, leaning down to whisper in her ear. "If I'm still awake I'd love to continue what I was doing to you."
Maura's words caused Jane's cheeks to heat up, "Just get some sleep," Jane smirked, Maura shook her head before going back upstairs to lay down in bed. "So Todd, it's going to be you, me and Kate all day tomorrow. What would you like for us to do?"
"Can we go watch the Red Sox game?" he asked with a smile and Jane smiled back with a nod.
"I think that's a perfect idea. We can definitely do that."
"Can Uncle Frankie come too? He seems really sad lately and baseball can cheer him up. I know it cheers me up."
"That's so very thoughtful of you," Jane patted his back. "I'll invite him in the morning and see what he says. I'm sure he'll be grateful that you wanted to include him."
"Everyone needs to be included in things," Todd sipped at his cooled down tea. "Even Uncle Frankie."
Jane smiled at his words and nodded. "Especially Uncle Frankie. So have you been doing okay? You seemed pretty upset the past couple of days, wanna talk about it?"
Todd played with the tea bag and shrugged, Jane waited for him to feel comfortable to say what was on his mind. He frowned, looking up at Jane. "Are you and Maura trying to replace us?"
"Why would we want to replace you, we love having you kids around."
"Then why are you trying to have a baby?" he asked, tears filling up in his eyes.
Jane frowned, "Is that what this is all about? Todd, listen to me, we're not trying to replace you, it's just that... Maura and I want a child of our own, but you and Kate mean so much to us. I can't really explain it, but I promise, you will be just as important as the baby. You also get to be a big helper and help out when Maura and I need you to. You and Kate will always have a special place in our hearts," she rested her hand on his shoulder. "We love you very much, you believe me, right?"
Todd bit his bottom lip and nodded, "Okay," he pushed his mug away from his body. "I think I'm ready to go back to bed," Todd mentioned and Jane helped him off of the stool.
"That's a good idea, I do hope that Maura's tea helps you sleep better. Keep all those scary monsters away," she gave him a hug and Todd smiled rushing back up the stairs. Jane sighed warmly before putting the empty mug in the sink and heading back to her own bedroom, she leaned against the doorframe, just admiring her sleeping wife, sort of curled up in a ball like a cat. Jane closed the door and slid in bed next to Maura pulling her close, pressing a soft kiss on Maura's shoulder. She smiled as Maura moaned, snuggling up to Jane as close as possible. "Sweet dreams, my beautiful Maura," Jane shut the light off and closed her eyes.
Hope this chapter was to your liking, it had some pretty good sexy times between our favorite couple, Frankie is in quite a pickle, getting an annulment, avoiding Crowe and having to prepare himself for the possible return of Gwen, like he wasn't already in a clusterfuck of emotions lol I hope you liked me including the twins more in this chapter, Todd has been struggling and now we know why, poor kid. Anyways hope to update again soon.
