Everything and everyone was quiet, tense, but quiet. The plan was, Bruce was going to go first, with his little go-cart, everyone was going to follow after. Sirena stood and watched, as he drove down the abandoned street and Arthur's words, repeated in her head. "Are you ready?" Diana asked, making Sirena look at her and nodded her head, "yeah." she answered, nodding her head. She let out a shaky breath and followed everyone towards the destruction. Running down the road of a deserted town, as the bug/human hybrid creatures, fighting them off as they go. Sirena kept saying silent prayers to the Gods, in my head, as she blasted through a group of these bugs. Where's the bug spray, when you need it? Running at full speed, "everyone, cover your ears!" Sirena called out, as she jumped up in the air and sucked in a good amount of air and used my sonic scream, paralyzing the creatures and landing on top of the go-cart. "Missed me?" she asked Bruce, jokingly, as he swerved a bit, shaking his head. "You could have given a heads up." he grunted. She rolled my eyes, as Sirena looked up, "found my next ride." she said, as she shot vines of seaweed at one of the mosquitos and quickly flew off. As the creature Sirena was on, was fighting her off, as she was blasting the other, that were getting close to her. "WooHoo!" Sirena looked over and saw Arthur and Victor doing the same thing. Rolling her eyes, Sirena jumped on the creature she was on, before blasting him and hopping onto the next one, Sirena kept doing it, until she was in the insect dome.

Arthur watched as Sirena jumped from bug to bug and made her way into the hive or whatever, Victor and Bruce snuck in, to take care of the Mother Boxes. He didn't know if he should strangle her, cause Arthur wanted her to be careful or be impressed, at what she's doing. Everyone finally making entry, Arthur saw Sirena standing and staring up at Steppenwolf, as he turned and stared at us. "Ahh, an Amazon and two Atlanteans. Too bad, that the Kryptonian isn't around anymore." he stated, before swinging his axe around and started charging towards them. They got in position and got ready to attack and Sirena shot a blast, from her trident, and Diana and Arthur rushed towards Steppenwolf, starting attacking. Arthur was knocked back and Sirena looked at me with concern, before she flew up in the air, to strike him, but was hit and knocked off the bridge. Diana looked back at Arthur, before using her shield and arm braces, making the bridge collapse, as he waited for the impact of the ground, Arthur looked over my shoulder and saw Sirena had slowly lowered us down, with her vines. 'Thank god, she's ok.' he thought to himself.

Victor found the Mother Boxes and quickly started pulling them apart. As he did, his programming interjected itself and showed him what would happen, if he didn't pull them apart. Working hard and concentrated on the Mother Boxes, when he was yanked away by Steppenwolf. Finally fighting him off, he went back to work and tried to carefully separate the boxes. Steppenwolf was creeping up behind him, when Sirena came out of nowhere, "Victor!" she called out, blasting Steppenwolf and tackling him down. He quickly glanced back and continued to do what he was doing, when Superman flew in, from evacuation the rest of the remaining civilians. "Superman!" calling out for help, to pull them apart. Getting knocked down by Steppenwolf, Sirena landed on the ground, groaning in pain. Quickly getting up and dusting herself off, "I'm too old for this shit!" she hissed to herself, as she started charging at one of the creatures. Steppenwolf jumped down and went after them. Sirena shot a blast and used the end of her trident and cut the mad creature. He swung his axe at Sirena, luckily she was quick enough to block his attack and went to hit him again, but she didn't see his fist colliding into her ribs, sending her back into the wall. "Si!" Arthur cried out, looking over at his wife, after she got thrown around for the billionth time. Angry and adrenaline pumping, Arthur charged at Steppenwolf and started attacking, letting his frustrations out.

Standing up and adjusting herself, Sirena noticed something about Steppenwolf, he never sets down or let's go of his axe. Thinking of what she can do next, Sirena saw Arthur flung her across the way and the ledge above was about to give out and collapse on him. Shooting vines over to him, Sirena pulled him to safety, before Arthur became mashed potatoes. Crashing into her, Arthur wrapped his arms around her waist, making him feel different. Shaking off the feeling, Sirena pushed him away, before telling him what she figured out. "I, uh, may know how to stop Steppenwolf." she stuttered, making Arthur raise an eyebrow at her. "How?" he asked. "Have you noticed that his axe is also in his hands? Not once has he set it down." Sirena asked, making Arthur look at what she was talking about and thought about it. "What do you need to protect yourself?" Sirena asked. "A weapon." Arthur answered. "What's the feeling you get, when you don't have a weapon in your hands?" she asked again. "Fear." He answered again, starting putting two and two together. "And what does these things smell and attract to?" Sirena asked once again. "Fear." he answered. "If we aim for the axe, Steppenwolf becomes defenseless and fear would start radiating off of him and these bastards would gravitate towards him and they would go to wherever the hell they came from." Sirena explained. "Aim for the axe?" Arthur asked for confirmation. Sirena nodded her head, "aim for the axe." she confirmed.

As Sirena and Arthur were charging and aiming for the axe, the others took notice of what they were doing and followed their lead. When everyone was following Sirena's lead, Victor and Clark had finally pulled the boxes apart, when an explosion erupted, soon followed by laughter. "Children. I work with children." Diana muttered, making Sirena roll her eyes and nod her head. Sirena ran towards Steppenwolf, slid behind him and cut the back of his knees. Arthur came and did some damage, finally Diana charged and attacked Steppenwolf, getting flung away from him. Clark flew down and froze the axe and Diana jumped up, swinging her sword, breaking the axe into pieces. "No!!" Steppenwolf cried out, as everyone stood and watched. The creatures stopped what they were doing and focused on Steppenwolf, as they started creeping up on him, making him back away. "Do you know what I smell?" Arthur asked, staring at the scene. "Yeah. Fear." Bruce answered, watching as the creatures swarmed around Steppenwolf, as he was fighting them off, when a beam of light appeared, sucking them up into the sky. The only thing left of Steppenwolf, was his helmet, that fell from the sky, as the beam of light vanished. Sirena walked up to the helmet and picked it up with her trident, showing it to the others, "anyone want a souvenir?" she asked, sarcastically with a hint of seriousness.

Everyone walked outside, watching plant life grown around, the once deserted town. They all took it in with pride, knowing that they saved the world and everyone will live to see another day. Arthur looked over at Sirena and saw a small smile on her face and noticed how the sun reflected the different shades of green in her eyes and her bronze skin. He also noticed welts and bruises forming, from all the bumps she had taken from Steppenwolf. The more time he's spent with her, despite the arguing and the truthful confession he made, the more his feelings for his wife are coming back. Having an ongoing battle in his head, should he work everything out with Sirena, make their marriage work again and be a family OR be civil with one another and try to catch up in their son's life?
