House of Memories:

Nina had told the club, what she heard from Patricia. and together the club was going to the place where Patricia said she would be.

"But she didn't say what she meant by help?" Asked Fabian.

"She just said to meet in the bike shed and bring blankets and food," said Nina.

Suddenly the club was bumped into Jerome and Otis.

"Guys, have you seen Patricia?" Asked Jerome.

"She disappeared at the hospital," said Otis.

"Patricia is….," said Fabian.

"Oh she's at….," said Amber.

"She's got a boyfriend. Madly in love. He's in a band. I think they are kind of goth," said Nina.

"Patricia has a boyfriend?" Asked Otis.

"You're serious? Poor guy!" Said Jerome.

Jerome and Otis walked away to go Jerome's room to play some videogames.

"You need to stop lying," said Fabian.

"Come on let's go meet Patricia," said Aaron.

While the club was on its way to Patricia. Victor was in his office when suddenly the phone rang.

"Hello?" Said Victor.

"It's me. Zeno's gone," said nurse Delia.

"What do you mean, he's gone? How?" Asked Victor.

"I turned my back for a minute and when I looked back he'd disappeared," said nurse Delia.

Find him, ordered Victor.

"I've searched everywhere. I'm not sure where else to look," said nurse Delia.

"Just do it," ordered Victor.

The club was at the bike shed and there they saw Patricia with Rufus. The club was surprised to see Rufus. Patricia explained everything that had happened.

"You stole a patient?" Asked Amber.

"Have you gone completely insane?" Asked Aaron.

"Well I couldn't leave him in the hospital, could I?" asked Patricia. "Not like this. It's just till he comes around," she said.

"I don't mean to be difficult but, what if he doesn't?" asked Nina.

"He will! He's looking more alert already," said Patricia.

"Oh, oh yeah. He should be piloting a plane," said Fabian sarcastically.

"Well, he was more alert in the taxi," said Patricia.

"Rufus! Wake up!" Said Amber, while she slapped Rufus in the face.

"Calm down, Amber," said Patricia.

"Where….Where am I?" asked Rufus, who was totally confused.

"You're welcome," said Amber.

"Ssh, it's okay. Rufus, it's Patricia. You're safe here," said Patricia.

"Patricia? Yeah what happened?" Asked Rufus.

"We're not sure. We saw Victor kidnap you," said Patricia.

"Yeah, yeah," said Rufus.

"And then I found you in the hospital. You were like comatose. They must have done something to you," said Patricia.

"I'm so tired," said Rufus.

"Should I slap him again?" Suggested Amber.

In the meantime Mara was in her room on her computer. Mara had the photos she had taken earlier on her computer. Mara was thinking of sending the photos to Mr. Sweet, she was about the push the enter button, but she changed her mind and closed her laptop.

Back in the bike shed with the club and Rufus.

"They must have thought you were close to finding Joy. Or they never would have kidnapped you like that," said Patricia.

"Do you think they've hidden her somewhere, like they did with you?" asked Amber.

"Oh, I am convinced that they have hidden her, yes," said Rufus.

"You said you thought Nina's locket might be the key. Nina, why don't you show it him?" Suggested Patricia.

"Patricia!" Shouted Fabian.

"So you're the girl with the locket?" Asked Rufus.

"Yes. Also 'Nina.' Hi," said Nina.

"May I see it?" Asked Rufus

"No! I can't show anyone. I was told not to," said Nina.

"By Sarah Frobisher-Smythe?" Asked Rufus

"Yeah. How would you know that?" Asked Nina.

"She's a friend of mine. And you must give it back to her," said Rufus

"Why?" Asked Fabian.

"Because the locket is cursed," said Rufus.

"Cursed? What do you mean cursed?" Asked Amber.

"Well before Sarah had it she was, She was a wonderful and vibrant woman and you should never have taken it," said Rufus.

"I didn't take it. It was a gift," said Nina.

"She was a confused old woman who didn't know what she was doing. I mean, I can give it back to her if you like?" Suggested Rufus.

"No!" said Fabian and Nina in unison.

"Strictly speaking, the locket isn't yours," said Rufus.

"Strictly speaking, it isn't yours either," said Fabian.

"I meant what I said. The locket is dangerous. The all seeing eye of Horus is an evil eye," said Rufus.

"I thought the eye of Horus was an Egyptian symbol of protection?" Said Fabian.

"But is it protecting good or evil?" Asked Rufus.

The next day. Alfie arrived home from the hospital and was surprised that no-one was there to greet him.

"Has everyone gone to school already?" Asked Alfie. "It's not even quarter to nine yet," he said.

"I know, terrible isn't it," said Trudy.

Alfie entered the living room and suddenly all the residents came out of hiding to surprise him.

"Surprise! For he's a jolly good fellow for he's a jolly good fellow, For he's a jolly good fellow, and so say all of us," sang all the residents.

All the boys gave Alfie a high five and the girls gave him a big hug.

"Welcome home, mate," said Jerome.

"Is it okay to go now?" Asked Mick.

"Go on," said Trudy.

"Welcome back mate. You look strong," said Mick, as he gave Alfie a pat on his back.

"We're so glad you're home!" Said Fiona.

"Are you coming to school today because our costumes for the play have arrived. And our camel suit is awesome!" Said Jerome.

"Alfie's not going in to school this morning," said Trudy.

"Aww trudes, I want to go to school!" Said Alfie.

"Well, I never thought I'd hear that coming from your lips, Alfie Lewis," said Caitlin.

"Are you sure you're up to it?" Asked Fiona.

"Yeah," said Alfie.

"Okay. If that's what you want," said Trudy.

"Don't worry Trudy, we'll help him," said Fiona.

Patricia went into the kitchen to grab some food for Rufus. Mara entered the kitchen and saw what Patricia was doing.

"Brain food. I get half way through the morning and I am starving. And that's why I need this apple and a sausage," said Patricia.

"You want to walk across? I could use your advice on something," said Mara.

"Erm yeah, I will, erm, just not quite yet," said Patricia.

"Oh forget it. You're always hanging around with your new gang these days anyway," said Mara.

Patricia went to the bike shed to give Rufus the bag of food, but when she arrived Rufus was gone.

In the meantime at school. Nina, Fabian and Aaron were in the drama room trying to figure out the Arabic dictionary.

"Anything?" Asked Nina.

"Since you asked me ten seconds ago?" Said Fabian.

"Here, try this. It's so old and grimy, Maybe there's something we can't see, Or maybe it's written in tiny letters or something?" suggested Nina.

Patricia stormed in the drama room, looking up set.

"What's wrong?" Asked Aaron.

"Rufus is gone. I can't believe it. He was my only connection to Joy!" Said Patricia.

At the same time. Amber and Alfie were walking together and talking about the night that Alfie was in the celllar.

"And you can't remember anything about the night of the cellar? Like anything anything?" Asked Amber.

"No. Not anything anything," said Alfie.

"Isn't that, like, scary?" Asked Amber.

"To be honest, Ambs? Yeah. It is scary. I've got no idea what happened in the space of, like, what, three, four hours?" Said Alfie.

"That's soooo scary," said Amber.

"Yeah for all I know, I could've been kidnapped by aliens or anything," said Alfie.

"Do you think you were? And all this time I've been so focused on vampires," said Amber.

"Well, a finer specimen of mankind you could not find, but, seriously, yeah," said Alfie.

"I've had an idea", said Amber.

Amber took off her tie. Amber told Alfie to be relaxed and focused. Amber had the idea, that she would hypnotize Alfie to make him remember the night of the cellar. Amber counted the down from ten to one, while she swung her tie from left to right and Alfie closed his eyes.

"Alfie are you asleep?" Asked Amber.

"Uh huh," said Alfie.

"Okay. I want you to think back to the night of the cellar. You're safe, nothing is going to hurt you, but I need you to tell me what happened. In your own time. You're walking down the cellar steps," said Amber.

"I'm walking down the cellar steps. And I'm wondering where I put my mask, and I'm about to be eaten by a giant tarantula!" Said Alfie, trying to scare Amber.

"You scared the life out of me! I thought you were genuinely hypnotized! I hate you!" Said Amber.

Amber didn't like Alfie's prank and pushed him against the lockers. Alfie hit his head against the locker and suddenly saw flashes of people in cloaks and doing a ritualistic chant.

"What is it?" Asked Amber.

"I remembered something. From the cellar!" Said Alfie.

"What now, you faker?" Asked Amber.

"A face. A very scary face," said Alfie.

"Maybe we should bang your head again?" Suggested Amber.

Alfie didn't like Amber's idea at all and walked away to class.

In the meantime, Nina, Fabian, Aaron and Patricia were still trying to find something that could lead them to the next clue.

"I think whatever was in there has long gone," said Aaron.

"He's right. There's nothing," said Fabian.

Suddenly Nina noticed something.

"Wait wait wait. What's that?" Asked Nina.

"What?" Asked Fabian.

"Something, faint. There. Shine the light over it a bit closer," said Nina, as small letters started to appear.

"It's invisible ink. The heat from the torch must be making it appear," said Fabian

"What's it say?" Asked Patricia.

"There! That's it! It's coming through!" Said Nina.

" 'under the eyes of Horus, a globe and hollow lie, two right for eternity, but just one left to die'," said Fabian.

The club had no idea what that meant.

The hours flew by and it was already night. Nina and Fabian teamed up to find out what the next clue might mean. Nina sneaked downstairs and Fabian was already there waiting for her.

"Well the panel in the attic is a kind of hollow. There's an eye of Horus there too," said Nina.

"That's not the only one Nina. I've been thinking. It's eyes. Not eye," said Fabian.

"Eyes of Horus?" Asked Nina.

"Yeah. Under the eyes of Horus, a globe and hollow lie. Eyes. It's not in the attic. I think it might be somewhere in here. In the hallway. Something globe-shaped," said Fabian

Fabian then noticed the two wooden globes at the bottom of the stairs.

"Nina?" Said Fabian, as he pointed to the wooden globes.

"What? Which one though?" Asked Nina.

"I don't know," said Fabian.

Fabian knocked on both the wooden globes and the one on the left was hollow.

"Must be the hollow one," said Fabian.

"Okay, 'two right for eternity, but just one left to die.' What do you think that means?" Asked Nina.

"Turn it two times to the right we get eternity, But if we turn it to the left it must lock or something. And then the secret's left to die," suggested Fabian.

"Fingers crossed," said Nina..

Fabian grabbed the wooden globe and turned it two times to the right and one time to the left and it opened up. Inside was a small golden object.

"And it's another strange shaped object," said Nina.

"What do we have here?" Asked Fabian.

"Yes, what have you got there?" Said Victor.

Suddenly Victor was standing behind Fabian and Nina.

"Give! I shall decide upon your punishment in the morning. Now get to your beds immediately," said Victor.

Fabian handed over the strange golden object to Victor. Nina and Fabian both went to their own room. Victor. examined the object closer. Than Victor realized what it really was and he let out a roar of anger.
