HUEY
Huey glanced over at Gosalyn who hadn't taken her eyes off the sky in front of him.
Was she avoiding talking to him now?
"Gos. Since when do you fly a plane?" He asks as he glanced down at the tracking device.
They were getting closer to the moving dots that were Dewey, Webby,Louie, and Mom.
"Dad's been teaching me since I turned sixteen last year." Gosalyn explained. "Here." She tossed him her phone. Huey caught it. Huey had dropped Honker's cellphone during the fight and only just realized it. "Call your family. I'm sure they are worried." She told him.
Huey gritted his teeth and dial the first number that came to mind. He had already called Louie once... So...
"Huey?" Came Donald's voice from the other end.
"Hey, Uncle Donald." Huey said, and his left eye twitched when Donald started ranting at him, telling him how worried he was, and what was happening with him. "Look, Uncle Donald. I'm sorry, I, I can't really tell you much. But -. I'm on my way back with Gosalyn. I wanna help save Mom, and it looks to me like Dewey and Louie aren't far from where I am now."
Gosalyn took that moment to glance at Huey and her heart sank.
She could see everything in his face.
Fear. Worry. Concern. Scared.
Nothing positive about his situation with him and his brothers.
All because of F.O.W.L.
Gosalyn scowled.
If it was one thing she was going to make sure of.
Is that F.O.W.L was going down.
Rather back home. Or in Tokyolk.
The building in which the dots showed Dewey in had quickly came into view after a few hyper speeds that Gosalyn had used on the Thunderquack as Huey talked on the phone with his uncle. She heard him give them the location by voice then by text before getting off it and handing it back to her.
"You ready for this?" Gosalyn asked, him, as she tucked her phone back into her jacket pocket.
"Ready." Huey replied, with determination in his voice. "Let's -." He added, glancing at Gosalyn who glanced back and slowly a smile spread across her beak.
"Get Dangerous." Gosalyn finished for him and pressed down on the wheel of the Thunderquack giving it a nose dive towards the building...
DONALD
Donald was getting very anxious now. He, Launchpad and Penny were about two hours away from where Huey sent the location Della. Huey had said that Louie was with Della and Dewey. Knowing Louie, if he came across his father Donald knew no doubt that if Louie was with Dewey that Dewey had already told him half of who and what Lance was, and what he is capable of.
Well...
Knowing Louie...
Donald only hoped that Louie would save a piece of his father for him.
He just had to sit back, and wait...
LOUIE
Louie could feel the heat of the fire expanding through out the building. From his back, to his front, and all around them.
He knew he wasn't suppose to let anyone out of the building.
That Doofus wanted everyone but Louie to die...
But Louie wasn't like Doofus.
Right?
He wasn't going to let those he care about die.
Not because of him.
DEWEY
Dewey was getting a splitting headache, from the screaming, the loud booms from the explosions (Louie's doing no doubt, now he knew why he was here), and from the constant guilt that was forming in the pit of his stomach.
He glanced over at Webby who was trying her best to keep up, as he held onto her hand.
How was he ever going to look her in the face again?
Knowing that it was he who had gotten her Granny killed?
All because Falcon Graves had a vendetta against him since that day when he cost him millions of dollars and tossed him off the roof the Waddle company.
He squeezed Webby's hand more tightly as they followed Louie safely outside just as the last giant bomb exploded behind them.
Webby
Webby didn't know what was really going on. Only that she knew Louie was somehow responsible for taking down an entire building right from under them.
Well...
Sort of.
It was half standing when she peered behind Dewey's shielded arm that he had wrapped around her from as the last and the biggest bomb went off. The building was only half standing and as she looked around for Louie she saw that his face was extremely pale. Like something didn't go quiet as planned for him.
He still had that gleam in his eyes ever since he killed Agent Toxic.
Still had that off sense about him that tore Webby's very soul apart. She only seen that gleam in his eyes only once, and that was when Dewey left. She wanted to know what was going on with him. Wanted to know if she can somehow still save him from whatever had happened to him and as Dewey pulled her up and hugged her tightly to his chest as the fire roared through out the building she mumbled to Dewey what Louie had done for her.
She could feel his muscle's tensed as she told him.
But he needed to know.
Needed to at least make amends with Louie before Webby feared they lost him for good.
Della
Della spotted her plane as they stood and watched the building of F.O.W.L burn to the ground. She watched it land and her brother, Penny, and Launchpad climbed out of it. Donald got to Della first and pulled her into a tight hug.
"Sorry I'm late." Donald muttered in her hear.
Della sighed, and just hugged her twin tightly.
"Better late then never." She answered back.
Donald pulled away from her and studied her up and down.
"Did he -?" Donald began, then stopped. Della's eyes filled with tears and slowly nodded. Donald growled and looked towards the burning building. "Where is he?"
Della looked towards Dewey and Donald followed her gaze his eyes widen.
"Dewey beat you to it, Donald." She whispered. "He, He killed Lance."
Donald beamed towards Dewey who had paused at soothing Webby who had started to cry into his shoulder again and looked towards his uncle. Dewey's gave his uncle a small smile in return, but Donald could see the pain in his eyes.
"Looks like we missed the fun." Jose grumbled, coming up behind Donald. Della glanced at him and realized why Donald had been late. He apparently had to pick up his band mates, Gyro, and B.O.Y.D.
"Count yourself lucky." Panchito told him, punching him in the arm playfully. "After our run in with Graves I doubt we could have been much help." He added, grimacing as he held onto his rib cage. He must have broken a bone or two and hadn't realized it until now.
"DEWEY!" Launchpad shouted.
He rushed up to Dewey and pulled both him and Webby into a tight hug, actually earning a small laugh from Webby herself as she wiped the tears from her eyes.
"Hey, Launchpad, I -." Dewey began but stopped when he noticed the Thunderquack landing nearby and Huey and Gosalyn jumped out. Launchpad quickly let go of them.
"Looks like we're late too." Gosalyn grumbled. She looked around and spotted Dewey who then marched over to him and punched him roughly on the arm, making him flinch. "You idiot, you have a lot of explaining to do." She growled.
"Yeah. Sorry, Gos." Dewey said, smiling sheepishly at her.
Gosalyn's anger subsided and her face soften into a small smile.
"Glad you seem to be okay, though." She said, softly.
"Yeah. Me too." Dewey said, then looked over at Huey who had also came up with Gosalyn. "You doing okay, bro?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at him. "What are you doing here? Where's is Violet?"
"No. No I'm not." Huey snapped at him. "I had to leave Violet in Tokyolk to come here because I thought I'd be saving your ass again. But it turns out, you didn't need it!" Huey shouted.
B.O.Y.D hearing Huey's voice rushed to his side making Huey slightly less angry, but still fuming.
"Huey! I'm glad your okay!" He gushed.
"Hey, B.O.Y.D." He said, giving B.O.Y.D a fist bump. His mind clearly on something else and clearly ignoring Dewey all together.
Dewey's heart sank.
What was going on with him? He thought as Goldie came up to Dewey then and crossed her arms.
"Look, Aunt Goldie. I -." Dewey began, but instead of telling Dewey off like Goldie had planned, she grabbed him into a hug as well.
"Why do you always have to cause trouble?" Goldie muttered in his ear.
Dewey chuckled at that.
Just his dumb luck he guessed and told her so, making Goldie chuckle in return. They pulled away.
"Come on, let's get out of here." Dewey said loudly to everyone. But just as he said that Donald screamed, Dewey glanced over and saw his mother collapse to the ground hard. Everyone rushed over to them and gathered around and Louie knew at once what was happening.
The pill.
The one Doofus made.
Could his Mom be...
