Chapter 100!
Nana was excited, never being to a concert before. Peggy and Lily agreed to watch out for her. Through experimenting, they found that if they felt to Nana with Nana right there, they could act as mental interpreters. Nana still wouldn't understand the English words, but she would know what they meant. They would also know what she meant. Their metal powers weren't the same, but somehow Peggy and Lily were able to connect with Nana on a mental level. Both Peggy and Lily could also feel Nana's emotions and like the English words for Nana, they could not understand Nana when she spoke, but knew the meaning of what Nana said. They found Nana was very happy and highly emotional.
Walking through the crowd of the festival, Lily on one side of her, Peggy on the other, JJ behind them with the video camera, Nana gazed in wonder at all the people here. They greeted some, and no one made a bad face at Nana, just smiles and greetings.
They hailed one really tall lady Nana understood was Sonya. She was the size of two people! Nana gazed up at her in wonder. How could someone get that big? Sonya was a nice lady who greeted Nana with a smile and a light hug, and told her that Nana was with the best people Sonya knew. That made Nana feel really good. Peggy sent Nana a mental picture of Sonya playing the drums. Sonya had to got get ready for the concert.
Making their way through the crowd they came up to stand in front of the stage where there was all kinds of musical instruments. Nana noted Sonya sat behind the drums, and even siting down she was still taller then most of them. A they gathered, Many started playing notes that didn't quite match. Nana also saw Delilah pick up a guitar and strap it on. Daniel was up there, so was Cameron. Louise too, siting down behind a piano. The random notes kept playing until Sonya and Delilah looked at each other. Sonya nodded and Delilah wailed out a few notes on her guitar, Sonya played the drums and suddenly all the random notes faded away and a song stated. Daniel went up to the mike and sang :
It was 20 year ago today!
Mr. Connor taught the band to play
They've been going in the American style
But they're guaranteed to raise a smile.
So may I introduce to you
The action over all these years,
Mrs. Connor's lonely hearts club band!
The whole band then sang :
We're Mrs. Connor's Lonely hearts club band
we hope you will enjoy the show
Mr. Connor's lonely hearts club band
Sit back and let the evening flow.
Mrs. Connor's lonely
Mrs. Connor's lonely
Mrs. Connor's lonely hearts club band!
It's wonderful to be here
It's certainly a trill
You're such a lovely audience we'd like to take you home with us
we'd love to take you home!
Nana smiled broadly at the large band singing and playing. It was a thrill to listen to them!
Daniel then announced as the band kept playing
I don't really wanna stop the show
but I know you might like to know
that the singer's gonna sing a song
Everyone should all sing along
So may I introduce to you
The one and only Cameron C
Of Mrs. Connor's lonely hearts club baaand!
Daniel moved to the side, Cameron stepped up to the mike. The music stopped for a moment, then Louise began on the piano.
When I find myself in times of trouble Mother Claire, she come to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
and in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me
speaking words of wisdom
Let it be.
This song was more mellow, and seeing others raise their arms up and slowly wave, Nana did too. This was a beautiful song, Nana found herself weeping in joy at it. Besides the translations she was getting, she found the words, 'Let it be' and sang along where she could. More of the band joined in as the song went on. There will be an answer, let it be. Let it be was words of wisdom. By the time the song was done, Nana had tear tracks down her face. She wiped the tears away and clapped with everyone else as they cheered.
Daniel went back to the mike for the next song. This was another mellow, heartfelt song.
Something in the way she moves
Attracts me like not other lover
Something in the way she wooos me
I don't wanna leave her now
You know I believe and how
Daniel sang about his love and not knowing how far it would go while the band played beautiful music, got Nana teared up again. She wanted to run and find Jackie to tell her that Daniel did love her! Again she clapped and cheered heartily when the song was over.
Cameron then sang a song about a poor lady named Madonna and her children. That was a fun song. Nana clapped in time as many in the crowd did.
The next one made Nana cry. Delilah sat on the stage in front of what looked like a gravestone and sang her mournful Thousand year Lullaby. Nana got her mate was dead, and being a machine, Delilah would keep singing to him 'on the other side' until she couldn't move any more. The last part was Delilah's wish and wonder if she was going to be with him 'on the other side' after she stopped working. Nana got the whole meaning and cried her eyes out. She cried so hard, Lily and Peggy had to comfort her. Peggy also coaxed her to put her leg back on. It had fallen off.
Delilah then announced the next two songs were dedicated to Nana. She even spoke again so Nana could understand her. "Nana this first song is to honor your long travel, the second is for how happy you are to be here."
Delilah was singing songs just for her? Nana wiped away her tears and beamed Delilah a smile.
The band stated up again with just the guitar Delilah had playing.
Called you up in the middle of the night
Like a firefly without a light
You were there like a slow torch burning
I was a key that could use a little turning.
So tired that I couldn't even sleep
So many secrets I couldn't keep
Promised myself I wouldn't weep
One more promise I couldn't keep
It seems no one can help me now
I'm in too deep, there's no way out
this time I have really let myself astray
.
runway train, never going back
wrong way on a one way track
seems like I should be getting somewhere
somehow I'm neither here nor there
.
Can you help me remember how to smile?
somehow make it all seem worthwhile
How on Earth did I get so Jaded?
Life's mysteries seem so faded.
.
I can go where no one else can go
I know what no one else can know
here I am just drowning in the rain
with a ticket for a runaway train
.
everything seems cut and dry
Day and night, earth and sky
somehow, I just don't believe it.
Again, Nana was getting the meaning of what Delilah was singing. Nana remembered feeling just like Delilah was singing. How did she know? Nana stared up at her, amazed and surprised Delilah would know how Nana felt running from place to place.
Bought a ticket for a runaway train
like a madman laughing at the rain
Little out of touch, little insane
It's just easier than dealing with the pain.
Nana grew a teary smile. Delilah knew what Nana went through! That made Nana feel good that Delilah understood how hard her journey was. How much agony she went through.
At the end of her Song, Delilah said, "So everyone know how hard Nana's trip was, she came here all the way from Japan. But, now that she'd here." Delilah nodded, the band started another, lively tune.
Look at what's happened to me
i can't believe it myself!
Suddenly I'm on top of the world
Should have been somebody else!
Believe it or not I'm walking on air
I never thought I could feel so free
flying away on a wing and a prayer
who could it be,
Believe it or not, it's just me!
.
Just like the light of a new day
It hit me from out of the blue
breaking me out of the spell I was in
making all of my wishes come true!
Nana listened to the meaning she was getting. Again Delilah knew exactly how Nana felt! Her heart soared as Delilah sang. Delilah wasn't just nice, Delilah understood Nana! At the end of the song, Nana didn't just cheer. Nana's heart was swelled up with love for Delilah. She launched herself in the air at the stage. Delilah saw her coming and moved her guitar to the side to catch Nana.
"Nana loves Delilah!" Nana cried, then wept as they hugged.
The crowd was silent for a moment. Delilah told them, "This is Nana. She was badly abused and came all the way here for refuge, and we are giving it to this sweet child. She is different, but Nana is a wonderful child who needs love and support."
The crowd exploded into a roar of cheers and applause. Delilah told Nana, "That is for you, Nana. We will let no one else hurt you, ever again."
Nana was so happy she lost her concentration again. Her left leg fell off. She let go of Delilah to put her leg back on. Blushing she said, "Gomenesai!" as she put her leg back on.
Delilah explained, "Nana was saying she's sorry one of her fake legs fell off. The people who did that to her, will never do anything to her again. I promise." To Nana, she said, "You have to get down now, so we can keep playing."
Nana nodded and gave Delilah another hug before she got down. Everyone nearby raised their arms up to help her down off the stage. After helping her down, they made a path to Peggy and Lily where she'd been standing. Nana got many pats of support on her shoulders and back as she returned to the pale haired girls. Nana has never seen so many nice, friendly people! She was loving Far Away! Nana burst into happy tears again.
The next song was Cameron singing 'I won't back down'. Nana listened, understanding that Cameron was very firm in her position, and defending her family and nothing was going to change that no matter how big and scary it was. Nana felt the same, and like Cameron sang, it wasn't easy and maybe hard, but she would never let anyone push her around.
At the end of that song, Sonya got up from her drums and came up to sing that she was the happiest girl here in Far Away. That song made Nana feel really good. Nana just wished she could understand the words they were singing as well as the meaning!
The concert was an emotional roller coaster for Nana. She cried in joy and in sorrow. Being sad, and so happy at times she felt like she was going to burst. By the time it was over, Nana had to concentrate hard to keep her arms and legs in place, for she was emotionally wrecked. Nana also was determined now to understand this 'English' everyone here spoke. Even though it was so powerful, she felt like she'd missed much of these songs because she couldn't understand the words.
There was one thing Nana did understand. Her Papa and Kouta had sent her to the right place when they told her to go Far Away. Far Away was the best place Nana had ever seen!
After they got home. Cameron told Nana that they were going to send a package to Kouta and Mayu containing copies of pictures Daniel had taken of Nana, as well as Nana at the concert and of Nana wanted, he would record her talking to Kouta and Mayu so they would hear it. Nana agreed and sat down at the big Lounge table to talk to the Video camera JJ had set. Once they had everything together, John went and mailed the package to the Maple inn, in Kamakura, Japan.
.
Coming home from school, Mayu saw the package sitting on top of the mail box outside the gate of the Maple Inn. She took it in, noting it was from someplace in the United States. Mayu didn't know who they knew in Austin Texas.
"I'm home," Mayu called. She took her shoes off and put her house slippers on.
Yuka came out to the entryway. "How was school today, Mayu?" she asked.
"OK, we got a package," Mayu said and showed it to her. Mayu suddenly remembered and brightened up. ""Texas! That place Nana and that lady called from, wasn't that Texas?"
Yuka frowned. "I don't remember. Maybe, yes, Kouta did say Nana was in Texas." Seeing Mayu's hopeful gaze, she added, "As soon as Kouta gets home, we'll open it up and see what it is."
Yuka took the package into the living room and set it on the table. Mayu set her school books down and gazed at the package. She was dying to know what Nana had sent them. Yuka said to wait. Nana let out a huff and sat down to do her homework.
"What's that?" Kaede asked from the doorway.
After all the trouble was over, 'Lucy' and her alternate personality 'nyu' had settled into the person she really was, Kaede. The Pink haired Diclonius even grew back her horns after many months of calm.
"It's a package from Texas," Mayu explained, "I think it's from Nana."
Kaede came in and squatted down by the postal box. She frowned at it. "It could be a trick. It's been quiet for a while now. I doubt those men have given up."
"Kaede, those people are all gone now," Mayu reminded her.
"Never believe that," Kaede said firmly, eyeing Mayu with her red eyes. "Mayu, you must always be wary. If there are any left, they would be waiting until we become complacent. If we are, they will strike again hoping to catch us unawares."
Mayu knew Kaede didn't believe they were gone. For the horrid fights and all the trouble they had to endure, Mayu could understand Kaede's wariness. She only nodded. "I will be careful," she replied. Kaede was acting much better as her self. She expressed her affections for their family as being an overprotective guard. Mayu thought it was a good change from the uncaring and murderous Lucy, or the simple minded 'Nyu' that Kaede had switched between. Kaede was healing physically and mentally.
"Mayu, please leave the room while I open this," Kaede said firmly.
Mayu bit her lip. She had to grin to herself. This was what Kaede did to protect her family. She got up and said, "I'll watch from the doorway."
"That will be fine. If anything happens, run," Kaede stated in a serious tone.
Mayu watched from the edge of the doorway, just peeking her head in. Kaede stared at the package. the packing tape peeled slowly off as Kaede studied it. Then a flap on the box slowly opened, then another flap. Mayu heard Yuka coming and raised a hand up to stop her.
"What is it?" Yuka asked as she came up to look into the room.
"That is what I am determining," Kaede said in a firm tone. "Stay out." She then lifted a small package from inside and opened it. "Photographs," she said and put them to the side. She then brought out a laptop computer, and a few of those plug in drives. Each had a label. She scrutinized each item.
"Kaede, They look OK to me," Mayu offered. It had taken Kaede a while to slowly opened up the package and inspect the contents.
"Kaede! I wanted to wait until Kouta got home," Yuka complained.
"I don't care what you wanted," Kaede stated. "I had to make sure nothing bad was in here."
"It is just a mailed package," Yuka cried.
"That could have had a nasty surprise in it," Kaede countered.
Mayu suppressed a grin.
Yuka frowned. "Ohh! Well, now that it's open, let's see what was in there."
They all sat down and began looking at the pictures. The one Kaede grabbed showed Nana sitting at a long table with many others. A smile was on her face as she faced a woman who was smiling at her. Kaede studied the heads. Nana was the only one there with purple hair and horns. No one seemed to be paying special attention to her, or appeared revolted or afraid.
"Yuka, Look at this one, Is that an alligator by Nana?" Mayu asked.
Yuka looked. "It is, a big one too! Is she feeding it?"
"Looks like it."
Kaede peeked over at that picture. It was a big, long scary looking reptile with a long mouth full of teeth. "Those could be dangerous." she noted.
"They usually eat people."
"OH, here, this picture they are on the dock, Nana... is wearing very little!" Mayu said in a blush.
"It's a bikini," Yuka said, "and yes, there's the alligator, right beside all those people.
Kaede picked up another one. Nana was on the boat pointed out at a girl standing on the water. Another one, Nana was sitting beside a gray colored person that also had a long tail, not legs. So many strange things. "Where is this?" Kaede asked. Giant lizards, people with tails and not legs. She'd never heard of these things before.
Mayu sniffled a bit. "Nana's happy, look, in every picture, Nana's smiling. Those people all seem to be happy with Nana too."
"I think these computer thing will tell us," Yuka said. She looked for the cords to get them plugged in and working.
Kaede cast her a smirk. "What happened to 'wait for Kouta?"
Yuka cast her a glare. "We need to find out where Nana is!"
"No, we should wait for Kouta," Kaede told her. The laptop rose up and floated near the ceiling.
Yuka glared at Kaede. "That's not fair!"
Kaede stuck her tongue out at Yuka.
Mayu giggled at them.
Yuka stomped off, Kaede and Mayu kept looking at the pictures. Mayu smiled at the one where Nana and a blonde woman were leaning on the rail around the boat, looking off over the water. Nana's face was a picture of bliss. "Kaede, wherever this is, I'm glad Nana is happy there."
Kaede looked at another picture of a girl with a tail jumping high out of the water, then another looking over the side of the boat as a pair went swimming by under water. "What I'm seeing is wherever Nana is, it doesn't matter what you are. There's plenty of non humans, and the humans don't care. It's really strange but a good strange," she said wistfully.
"Nana is in a nice place." Mayu agreed. "Kaede, you think maybe we should go there too? You won't have to hide any more."
"Kouta and Yuka have a life here. It would not be fair to get them to leave," Kaede said flatly.
"And you won't leave Kouta," Mayu said. "At least Nana is happy and free."
"Nana should be happy," Kaede stated.
Mayu looked at a picture and her eyes opened wide. "Kaede! Look at this one!"
Kaede did. Nana was standing in a room. She could see the end of a bed. She also saw a cabinet of guns and a sword on the wall. She raised an eyebrow. "Nana has guns in her bedroom?"
"If that's her room," Mayu agreed. "Why would Nana have all those guns and a sword? It looks peaceful and nice there, why have all those weapons?"
Thinking about her own experiences with that facility and those soldiers, Kaede said, "Probably to keep the bad guys away."
"But Nana isn't violent," Mayu said.
Kaede eyed Mayu firmly. "Mayu, not that I like guns at all, but the bad guys don't like people who can obviously defend themselves. I'm sure whoever leads in that place, keeps a close eye out for trouble coming, and the more guns you can point at the bad guys, the less likely the bad guys will be to try to come make trouble. Nana's the only Diclonius there by what we've seen. The rest all need guns to drive bad people away."
"Those people seem so nice, why can't others just leave them alone?" Mayu asked sadly.
"Bad people want everyone to be miserable like they are," Kaede stated.
A call of "I'm home!" perked Mayu up. "Kouta!" she called and shot up to run out of the room. Kaede lowered the laptop to the table and got up to greet Kouta.
Running out to meet him, Mayu pointed back the way she came. "Kouta! We got a package from Nana! Nana's all right, and you should see where she's been!"
Kouta put his house slippers on. "I'm glad to hear it, Nana sent pictures and a letter?" he guessed.
"A whole box of stuff, come see," Mayu said eagerly.
Kaede greeted Kouta with a hug and a kiss. "I suppose we better go see before Mayu starts without us."
Now that the laptop was on the table and not stuck to the ceiling, Kouta got it plugged in and turned it on. Instead of a login screen in Japanese the screen read : insert USB drive 1
Kouta looked at the thumb drives and found #1 and plugged it into the USB port.
On the screen it showed Nana getting out of a big red car with a white top. Another pale haired girl got out behind her. Kouta didn't know the make, but this car was a very old model of a kind that had been made before his lifetime. He heard a woman speak in Japanese. "Nana, be sure to stay with Lily and Peggy, OK? I have to get to the concert."
"Nana will, Delilah!" Nana replied. She looked at the camera and giggled, "Johnny has the camera in his face again."
Nana then looked at one of the girls who hadn't spoken. "Nana knows!" Nana looked at the camera and said, "Hi Kouta, Mayu! we're going to a concert, Johnnyl is recording it so you can see it too!"
"A concert?" Yuka asked.
Kaede watched intently as Nana and the pale haired girls made their way into the grounds were people were everywhere. Some waved to them, they waved back. In their interactions, The camera panned onto a huge red head that looked twice as tall as anyone else. She talked with the girls then squatted down and gave Nana a hug.
"Wow, she's a giant!" Kouta said. "That's a little strange."
Kaede chuckled. "You haven't seen anything yet."
They got the view of the back of Nana's head as the camera recorded the concert. Nana bounced and clapped at some songs, and cried at the one the blonde woman sang in a halting voice, sitting on the stage in front of a head stone. Kouta knew English, and by the sad words, he got it the woman was singing about being a robot who was true to the one who died, and just wanted to be with them again. The next songs were dedicated to Nana. First was about the grief Nana went through, then a happy song. At the end of that, Nana flew up onto the stage and hugged the woman as she cried out happy tears. When she lost her leg on stage where everyone could see, the women explained Nana's fake legs and promised nothing like that was going to happen to her again. The crowd cheered her.
Nana got off the stage with several people there to help her down. Nana got plenty of pats and hugs of sympathy. Mayu sniffled.
The concert went on as did Nana's bouts of happiness and eye wipes to clear her tears away. At the end of the concert with Nana jumping up and down and cheering, the screen went blank and read, Insert USB drive #2
"All those humans there, and not one had a bad reaction to Nana, even when she flew up onto the stage," Kaede noted.
Kouta nodded, "Yeah, and all the support they showed Nana. They didn't seem bothered by her abilities at all."
"They did help her too, after they found our her legs aren't real," Mayu noted.
"But where is this place?" Yuka asked.
Kouta took out the first drive and put in the second one. "Maybe this one will tell us."
A picture came up of Nana standing in a hallway arms raised up to show the blue shirt and pleated skirt, socks and shoes she had on. Music also began playing. The singing was in Japanese.
Such a feeling's coming over me
There is wonder in most everything I see
Not a cloud in the sky, got the sun in my eye
and I, won't be surprised if it's a dream.
The picture changed to show Nana in her bikini on the boat by a grill, she held a bun out, a man was putting a burger on her bun.
everything I want the world to be
is now coming true especially for me
and the reason is clear, it's because we are here
this is the nearest thing to heaven that I've seen.
The picture changed again to show Nana sitting on the deck, facing a grey skinned girl who had a tail instead of legs, and a blonde girl who also had a tail, they were gesturing something.
I'm on the top of the world lookin down on creation
and the only explanation I can find
is the love that I've found ever since I've been around
that loves put me on top of the world.
The next picture showed Nana sitting on grass, watching another girl feeding a big alligator that was almost within reach of Nana.
Something in the wind has learned my name
and it's telling me that things are not the same
in the leaves of the trees and the touch of the breeze
there's a pleasing sense of happiness for me
The next picture showed Nana helping to set the table and giggling at another girl on the other side.
There is only one wish on my mind
when this day is through I hope that I will find
that tomorrow will be just the same for you and me
all I need will be mine if you are here
The next picture came up. Nana on a rooftop arms wide and the wind blowing her hair out. She bore a big smile.
I'm on the top of the world lookin down on creation
and the only explanation I can find
is the love that I've found ever since I've been around
that love's put me on top of the world.
The next picture that came up was Nana eating dinner with the others at a long table. As the music faded, then picture faded with it.
Another video came up. Nana was sitting at a table, facing the camera. "Cameron, is it on?" she asked.
Cameron came onto the picture to squat down beside Nana. "It's on, Just pretend you are talking right to Kouta and Mayu. After we send this, they will be watching, so it's like you are talking directly to them."
Nana nodded. Cameron got up and out of the picture as Nana waved. "Hi Kouta, Lucy, Mayu, Yuka. Remember Papa, then Kouta told Nana she had to go far away? It took a long time, but Nana has found Far Away, and it's a really nice place! Everyone here is nice and sometimes funny. Right now I'm staying in the room of a girl named Joan. She's away right now playing football, so I got her room. Joan has some strange things in her bedroom, but Nana thinks here in Far Away, that's normal. Most things here are a bit strange, and wonderful! Nana never saw people with fish tails before, and Allie Gator is really big, but she stays outside in the lake or in the yard. Oh, speaking of big, Sonya has to be the size of two people, she's super tall! She plays the drums really good too. Delilah plays a guitar, and she sounds fantastic! Cameron, Delilah, Daniel and Sonya all sing really good."
Nana paused and waved. "Johnny, come over here so they can see what you look like too!"
A young man ran into the picture, He bend down, an arm around Nana and waved. "Sorry I only speak English," he said with a grin, then ran back out of the picture.
Nana giggled. "Johnny is running the camera for Nana. Daniel took most of those pictures we sent. OH!" Nana paused again to wave a finger at the screen. "Yuka you must stop hitting Kouta! When Cameron found the Maple Inn and we looked at it, right here from Far Away, Lucy and Kouta were in the yard, just being nice to each other, and you ran outside and hit Kouta! Cameron doesn't want you here because she saw you do something violent like that!"
Kaede chuckled. Yuka glared at her.
"I really hope Lucy has calmed down, Lucy you do deserve a home! I remember you told Nana to go live with Kouta because you couldn't. Lucy can! Just stop killing people! Be nice and people will be nice to you. Well, at least here in Far Away they will be. Nana has seen lots of people and no one's mean. The fish girls said they are going to teach Nana to swim like they do, but Nana has to start in the pool first before Nana can go into the lake. Cameron is also working on how to fix Nana. She has these nana-ites that she is sure will regrow Nana's real arms and legs and slow Nana's aging down."
"That's Nanites, Nana," Cameron said from the side.
Nana looked at her and blinked. "That's what Nana said, nana-ites." Looking back at the camera, Nana kept going. "So Yuka and Lucy, please behave yourselves! Nana wants to see everyone eventually, but if you're mean, Cameron and Delilah won't allow it. Oh! Mayu, Nana's going to school! Nana's going to learn English and all the things Mayu is learning in school now. Nana wants to be smart like Mayu."
Nana frowned a bit. "What Nana would like the most is of you moved here to Far Away, but Nana knows Kouta and Yuka already have things there they have to do, so that's not possible. Nana is here in Far Away and Nana's happy! Nana also wishes you are all happy there too. Bye bye for now!" Nana waved and that video ended.
"But WHERE is this Far away?" Yuka cried.
"The box came from Austin Texas," Kouta said. "That's in the Unites States."
"By the looks, they don't live in a city," Yuka said.
A message came up on the screen. 'Put in the 3rd USB drive please.'
Kouta pulled the second drive and put the third one in. At first, nothing happened. Then two timer bars came up on the screen The first said : deleting references to 'Diclonius' from from all records of world wide networked computers.
The second read : Deleting all government files referencing Diclonius'.
The bars began gray. Green started to creep slowly across the across the bars.
Kaede raised an eyebrow. "What's this?"
"How can she do that?" Kouta wondered, "This computer is hacking into government files by itself!"
"Kouta, she watched us in the yard from her house in Texas. I think this Cameron is very computer smart," Kaede told him.
"Can't we get in trouble for this? Computer hacking?" Yuka asked.
Red letters came up under the bars : Trace detected from Shanghai
Yellow letters appeared under those : Logic bomb launched, worm send to tracer
Green letters appeared : Tracing computer off line
All the messages then went out.
Staring at the laptop, Kouta said, "This is some advanced programming."
Next was a trace from Hong Kong that got a logic bomb and went off line. After that, a computer in Tokyo was treated to the same reaction.
The green kept slowly advancing along the bars. The green was halfway there.
Kaede spoke up. "She removing all information about myself and Nana. Kouta, that means no one else will be coming after me."
Another red notice a trace was started from Tokyo. Again it was hit with a logic bomb then a worm. That computer went off line.
Wuhan was next to be bombed and wormed, then went off line.
The green on the bars was nearing the end. They watched as a computer in Tel Aviv was bombed and wormed, then went off line.
"I had no idea other countries were watching our internet. At least, that's what I think is happening," Kouta said.
Yuka said, "There have been suspicions that China hacks into our computer network. I think this proves it."
They watched another Chinese computer get bombed and wormed, then went off line. Next was a computer in Las Vegas that bit the dust from trying to trace where this computer was.
The green filled the bar for government files on Diclonius first. The bad disappeared. In it's place was : 2,187 reference files on dicloinius removed from 3 separate countries.
Not long after that the other bar turned completely green. That disappeared and the message came up. : 13, 942 references of Diclonius removed from networked computers world wide.
The screen went blank momentarily then big red letters appeared.
NOW BEHAVE YOURSELF!
Kaede burst out laughing. She leaned into Kouta, chuckling helplessly. "She did it! She erased me!"
A short video then came on, showing only Cameron's face. "Lucy if you are seeing this, first of all, change your name. Second, I got enough information to determine you had a reason for what you did. The blame does not fall entirely upon you. John tells me everyone deserves a second chance. This is your second chance. Your past has been wiped clean. What you do now is totally on your shoulders. Third, Kouta, keep this laptop. You can use the USB drives to send pictures and videos to Nana if you wish. As I am speaking, the third USB drive is being cleared of all information and settings. You will have to reformat it from scratch. Yuka, If I see you beat on Kouta one more time, I will come there and beat on you. This is not an idle threat. You will not be happy either. Mayu, when you get the chance, Nana would love to hear from you."
The screen then went out except for an international phone number on the bottom of the screen.
"Wow," Kaede said, chuckling. "I think I like this Cameron."
"But, where are they?" Mayu asked.
Kouta pointed at the phone number. "I think we have to call and find out."
