If Ginny and Hermione were thorough and studious, they were also the Furies. Vengeful creatures, feasting on blood. They knew Voldemort would be ready. After all, he was a paranoid little shit. But he wasn't ready for the annihilation that was coming his way.

The dark Lord was entertaining a few minions, regaling them with old tales of power. The french doors of Malfoy manor opened on the death eaters who survived Hermione and Severus' death trek in Knockturn alley. They heaped in a pile, bloody and maimed.

Everyone in the room remembered why they followed the dark Lord. Fear before all. He rose under the weak whispers of his servants, which talked of chaos and betrayal. Like a dark phoenix ready for battle, he walked out of the room to contact his spies at the Ministry.

The first trap closed on him, and only silence answered his plea. In a feat of rage, he pointed his wand to his mark to call his death eaters popped one by one in the manor, Voldemort set to reach his financial backers. The echo from coffers now closed sent him in a murderous mood, and he shredded the antique paintings in the room. He had no escape. He will never surrender though.

If they crossed him, they would understand the meaning of pain. He would attack Hogwarts with his troops, and thwart this nation of imbeciles by spoiling their future. Democracy was for the weaks.

Moving into the ballroom, he placed himself in the middle of his inner circle. Draco and Hermione were present, kneeling with Bellatrix who made little mad, delighted noises. He looked at his allies. Only a hundred of them remained, and with no time to call for reinforcements from werewolves or giants, they would have to be ruthless. For a second, he deplored the resistance, willing to shed pure magic blood for lesser beings. He would teach them their places. All of them.

"Draco, secure our base and ensure they are safe."

"I assure you, my Lord, that no one can get in or out without my consent anymore."

The blood wards, laced by centuries of dark magic, buzzed for a moment. Satisfied, Voldemort turned to Bellatrix, and the inner circle started to give orders to their soldiers. Hermione and Draco focused on the younger death eaters, gathering them in a tight group and conjuring a map of Hogwarts to explain the plan. Some of them were still students, some were barely out of school. Draco's voice was deep when he ordered them to listen up.

The dark Lord looked at his proteges. Soon, they would be the only future of the nation. Soon, they would be all powerful. His gaze landed on Hermione and Draco, warriors already ready to draw blood. He couldn't wait to have his soul possess the Malfoy heir. He would be young and rich, and the filthy mudblood would be his fucktoy.

Soon, he would live again.

The Malfoy elves were working diligently in the kitchen. First, they had to feed those foul guests their master was forced to entertain. But now, they also had his friends to entertain. The elves, in all the excitement, were an observing specy. They quickly noticed they had a new master and a new mistress to serve, and cooed over Harry and Hermione, excited by the prospect of a home full of love. As the wards buzzed, Severus turned to the rest of the group. He almost rolled his eyes at first. Ron Weasley, even five minutes before the final battle, managed to stuff himself with food. At least his two companions, Neville and Luna, behaved like regular awkward teenagers, whispering quickly to the elves who tried to serve them. Severus glanced at the entire room, full of Order members. Friends he knew for years, students he taught or had taught not so long ago. Ready for the fight of their lives.

"No one will be able to leave those walls as long as Draco is alive. This will both protect the Ministry and Hogwarts. Ginny, given your blood bond with Hermione, I will have you cover her, while Remus covers Draco. Molly, you will cover Ginny." He positioned himself at the right of the Chosen One. "Mad Eye, you and I are covering Harry. The others will work in groups of two or three to protect and attack. Remember your training!"

Groups formed as the leader of the Order talked. Ron, Neville and Luna and the Weasley twins were natural groups, but Severus raised an eyebrow when Bill joined Flitwick and Charlie went with Vector.

"What? Charlie and I are too alike. Same strengths, same flaws. Not a good combination."

Dobby suddenly popped in the kitchen, driving anxious wands up.

"Draco Malfoy told Dobby the children are the target. Dobby will go back to Headmistress McGonagall to warn her." He patted Harry's knee, drawing a warm smile from his friend.

"Don't worry, Harry Potter. The Hogwarts elves will protect the children even if you fall." With another pop, he disappeared.

Remus touched the communication ring Hermione and Severus had gifted him and Tonks as a wedding gift. After a series of light touches, he informed the group. "Everything is clear at the Ministry. Now that they know they're not the first target, they'll wait for our signal. That way, aurors won't be in our way."

.

Mad-Eye scanned the room, and repeated, forcefully,"Remember those people on the other side will aim at you with dark spells. Their main objective will be to kill you, potentially maim you. They were planning to attack the school to teach the entire country a lesson. Tonight, there is no way to get out of it. If they sit with the dark Lord, they were ready to kill children. They deserve no mercy. If they resist arrest, kill them."

Ginny turned to one of the elves,"Where is the lady of the manor?"

The elf answered, fear in her voice. "With the angry sister, miss. They retired to the west wing."

Ginny looked quickly at Severus and Harry. They couldn't let that happen. Narcissa was the reason Draco was fighting. Severus sighed. "You have ten minutes. Molly, you're staying here, this is a personal matter for those two. After that, we keep up with the plan."

Ginny and Harry took the little elf's hands, and apparated a few meters away from Narcissa's suite. The two death eaters that were guarding the doors were quickly dispatched, the sound of their fall absorbed by the pillow spell Harry applied right after the cutting and silencing spells Ginny threw. They worked flawlessly together, used to fighting together from those months of training. In order to avoid splitting their souls when using magic, they had trained for months, using Ginny's creativity to find new ways to kill without using the Avada. Slicing throat, or burning, worked great. Although the moaning and unrest that could come with such gruesome methods weren't for everyone.

They opened the doors to find Bellatrix behind Narcissa, her wand digging in Draco's mother's head. "What do we have here? The-boy-who-needs-to-die and a little blood traitor." Bella laughed a brittled, manic laugh that made Ginny's spine tingle with pins and needles. She'd heard the same laugh from Tom before. She knew the universe of pain it promised. She unsheated her knives, the gleam drawing Bella's attention away from Narcissa.

"We don't have to spill your family's blood, Lestrange. If you let her go, we'll let you run. Away from the manor or back to your master. Whatever way you prefer to go." She took a step forward, trying to keep the unhinged witch from moving. "Think about what matters to you the most. Your Lord needs you. Don't throw it away for a stupid fight."

Bella's eyes were darting back and forth between Ginny and Harry. She could see in their stances that they knew how to fight. The knives in Ginny's hands told her they knew how to kill. The crazy witch made her decision. She smiled a rotten smile, and exclaimed, "Confringo!"

The laugh following the spell never truly made it out of Bella's throat as Ginny slit it with one knife and plunged the other one in her kidney. Bella gurgled instead for a few seconds, in immense pain, before dropping to her knees, dead. Ginny turned to see Harry kneeling near the body of Narcissa Malfoy.

Nothing of who was Draco's mother remained.

She kissed Harry's tears. She would protect her boys from those who would arm them.

They were back in the kitchen after 8 minutes. The deafening absence of Narcissa Malfoy told everyone the end of the story. The blood over Harry and Ginny lit up everyone's battle fever.
