Santana inhaled and adjusted her robe, as she made her way to the kitchen. She had completely ignored Quinn's demands that she join them for a night of what she could only imagine was debauchery. She wasn't going to play their silly little games, and she certainly wasn't going to sleep with either of them again. She pauses at the doorway, watching Charlie eating her cereal as Quinn sipped on a glass filled with blood.

She enters the kitchen, keeping her head held high and ignoring the two of them as she gets a bowl and reaches for some cereal. "I'm going to go visit my parents today. You know to talk to them about what to expect when it comes to dealing with the two of you."

Charlie slurps the milk in the bowl of cereal noisily and Quinn merely sips on her glass of blood.

They were ignoring her, but she was going to keep on talking and then do whatever it is that she wanted to do. "They'll be meeting with other people who were brave enough to run in this election, and I plan on meeting with them as well to give them all an understanding of how things worked around here. They'll need to deal with hostility from the shifters, they'll need to deal with hostility from some of the vampire groups and then I'll walk them through dealing with you." She expects Quinn to make a comment or Charlie to wave her hands in annoyance but they don't and she can't help but sit quietly.

Quinn takes another sip of her blood and turns to look at her twin, "As I was saying, the grid search that you suggested hasn't led to any fruitful leads. We need to step it up, Sue's sent reinforcements, Mike will be arriving later tonight."

Charlie stretches and rotates her shoulder slowly and nods making a gesture.

"I agree, we can't afford to lose anymore numbers to Emma, the moment she's found, you will be called to handle the situation. We're not taking any more chances. Drink your blood, you do not have time to rest."

Charlie salutes and tosses her bowl into the sink and picks up a large wine bottle that was filled with blood and takes a swig of it.

"No need to get blood drunk," Quinn says frowning slightly. "We need you at your best, not sloppy." She sighs when Charlie winks and disappears with the bottle in hand, leaving her with Santana. She flicks her eyes to Santana who was eating her cereal. "Brittany."

Santana looks up, "Excuse me?"

"You will be taking Brittany with you while we search for Emma, don't worry she knows how to behave around humans." Quinn said as she adjusts her sleeves slightly and heads to the door, before stopping and looking at Santana. "Did you think that last night was a suggestion?"

Santana shrugs, "I don't care if it wasn't, I'm not going to be your plaything anymore. I'm not a pet, I'm not a terrorist, I'm not a squire. I'm not going to play these games with either of you until you two stop dicking me around. I'm not doing your games anymore, I'm not letting you fuck with—" Santana shuddered when Quinn suddenly appeared beside her and whispered into her ear.

"Tonight. No excuses."

"Fuck off," Santana grumbles as Quinn pulls away.

"We'll do that tonight," Quinn says without bothering to stop as she takes off.

Santana pushes her cereal away, she didn't want to think of what type of sexual things both twins wanted to do to her. Quinn's tone had made it clear that she would probably face some consequences if she didn't comply, but she had no intention of doing so. If it came to it, she was totally going to duck behind Charlie and let them argue it out. She sighs and looks at the door, she understood that she needed an escort, especially in these times, but she didn't know why it had to be Brittany.

~O~

"So, this is where the little duck grew up," Brittany said looking at Santana's house.

Santana cringed slightly, she was beginning to realize how much she missed Sam. He didn't say weird things, and he was bribable. Some jerky and he was willing to look the other way. But he was recovering and she felt selfish for wanting him instead of Brittany. "Look, Quinn said that you had to escort me here, she didn't actually say that you had to follow me inside."

"Don't be silly, ducklings are the best part of ducks," Brittany said with a smile.

Santana frowned and slowly made her way up the steps to her parent's doorway, she still needed to pretend that Quinn's words hadn't permanently scarred her parents, she didn't want them to think she was a whore, she wasn't, she was a prisoner. Who had at a point had sex with her captors, who were both very good at getting her off. Sure, there were days when she enjoyed spending time with them, and when either of them was gone, she did miss them. But how was she going to explain that to her parents?

And she was sure that they were going to give her the look, or something of the sort when Brittany started calling her a duck. "Look, my parents are very conservative Brittany, can you please just call me by my name?"

Brittany hummed in response, "They do have baby pictures?"

"Yes, fine, you can look at my baby pictures, just don't say anything," Santana grumbled as she knocked on her parent's door. It takes a moment before her mother swings open the door, "Mami!" Santana feels Brittany suddenly go tense beside her, and she looks up at the vampire for a moment, she was being weird again.

"Santana—" Maribel looked at the blonde beside her. She didn't know this one, and she looks at Santana for the introduction.

"This is Brittany, she's here for my protection because Sam's recovering," Santana explains quickly. "Where's papi? I want to congratulate him." Brittany grips her arm tightly and attempts to pull her back. "Brittany just wants to look at my baby pictures, she won't be a problem."

"Santana—" Brittany begins.

"Your father is talking with a reporter, it's all very exciting, we'll be meeting with the other winners in the various other districts soon, so you can discuss what to expect."

Santana jerks her arm away from Brittany and follows her mother inside the house, going through the living room, where she suddenly sees why Brittany seemed to be tense. There sitting with her father was Emma. Her breath catches, she had seen her before but not quite like this. In a mousy yellow cardigan and a floral print skirt, she didn't look like evil incarnate, or the reason that every vampire in the state was currently on high alert. She looked almost innocent, and for a moment she can't remember why she had been so very afraid when she had seen her earlier at Artie's place.

It's when Emma smiles at her brightly that she feels the hair on her arms and neck standing on end. She can see the disconnect clearly now, perhaps because she'd been around other vampires, but it's like Emma had forgotten how to smile. There are far too many teeth, the smile doesn't quite meet her eyes, and it feels unnatural. Charlie and Quinn were foreign to her but there were days that she forgot that they weren't human. With Emma, it was clear from the smile that she wasn't. It was the small details, that even Josh seemed to be able to manage.

"Leave," Brittany murmurs in Santana's ear before launching herself at Emma.

It was like watching either of the twins in action, when they wanted to make a point about their power, she doesn't see it, but she can feel the splatter of blood hitting her face and Brittany's body hitting the ground. It's the first time she's seen guts before. Brittany's blood slowly pooling around her. She looks up at Emma in horror and she's certain she hears her mother scream.

Emma frowns looking at the blood on her hand that is now dripping down her arm slowly and looks at Maribel expectantly. "Can I have a towel?"

Santana moved to catch her mother as she fainted but she was far to slow and her mother collapsed onto the ground.

Emma sighed and reached to adjust her pencils on the coffee table and then her small notepad. "Well I was hoping that we could talk Santana. So, sit down."

Santana looked at her father who seemed to be frozen in place, he could be a thrall, her mother could be a thrall and she didn't doubt that she would become a thrall as well. She takes a seat beside her father and stares at Emma, she needed to get out of this alive.
