Yan Dooku looked down at the tiny green sprite sleeping peacefully in the floating bassinet, and he allowed himself a moment's softness. He would no doubt have to see his old master killed. As long as Yoda lived the Jedi would live, and he still felt the faint affectionate tendrils of their bond. The severing of it would hurt.
But in time, in time he would have a worthy apprentice. All would not be lost. A new bond could be forged. Someday he would strike down his new master.
For now, however, the Child would have to be kept hidden and safe.
