15 hours of contractions, and back labor Nicole finally was dilated 10cm and to getting moved to the delivery room. Clay was by her side the whole time, and she was doing amazing.

"I feel like I need to push!" Nicole told the nurses who were prepping her for delivery, the doctor was not here yet. He was with another patient. Nicole was exhausted and irritable.

"Don't push! Dr. Conley is on his way!" The one nurse said.

"On his way from where!? What state!?" Nicole asked sweating, irritable and angry.

"Another floor. Relax. Your doing great." The nurse said and went back to work. Nicole looked at Clay.

"Your doing great babe." He told her and ran his hand over her head.

"Go. Find. The. Doctor!" She gritted her teeth and told him, pulling on his shirt. Clay was actually scared. He's never seen her like this.

"Uh...what's your timeline here your thinking?" He asked the nurse trying to remain calm, cool and collected.

"Sorry for the wait...where we at?" The doctor came busting in the door.

"Oh we're here!" Nicole told him as he slipped on gloves and a gown. He took a look and agreed with Nicole.

"Alright yup yup. Next contraction your gonna push alright? I'm gonna count to 5 and then you stop?" He told her. She understood and started to bear down. Clay started sweating and held her hand.

"Alright here we go...1...2...3..." the doctor counting and Nicole gave it everything she had.

"Ah!" She yelled.

"5...good! Again!" He said. The nurse told Clay to hold her leg back on his side.

"Your going amazing Nic...!" He told her.

"Ugh!" She let out a breath and started again.

"Good! 1...2...3...4...5!" He coached her through it.

"Great job Nicole, amazing!" The nurse said on the other side of her.

"Alright her head is here, let's give one big strong push to get her out alright? Ready, push!" He started counting and Nicole pushed as hard as she could. Clay let her squeeze his free hand.

"Oh my god..." Clay was shocked at the sight. Her head came out and Nicole ran out of breath.

"Huh! I can't do it! I can't do it!" She started freaking out.

"Yes you can baby! I see her face, she's almost here!" Clay told her passionately and empathetic.

"Her heads out Nicole, reach down and touch it." The doctor said.

"Ah! Oh my god!" She said when she felt it and then looked down to see the head hanging out of her.

"Yeah there's your baby, get her out. Push!" The doctor said. Nicole took one big breath and did just that.

"She's here!" He announced and suctioned her nose out quick, then he quickly handed her off to a nurse who rushed her to the exam table.

"Huh! Oh my god...! Why isn't she crying?!" Nicole panicked. Clay let go of her hand and looked to see.

"Come on sweetie..." the doctor said quickly suctioning and the nurses around to help. A couple more seconds...

"Wahhhhhh!!" Newborn cries filled the room. Clay and Nicole's hearts both started beating again.

"She's okay." The nurse said and brought her over to lay on Nicole. She was crying along with her and Clay rested his head next to hers, kissing her cheek, getting emotional himself.

"Hi sweetie...!" Nicole said to her wailing baby, attempting to stop it.

"You did amazing baby." Clay said into her ear and kissed her. His tear landing on her cheek.

"She's here...!" Nicole told him in shock still. The nurse unbuttoned her gown so she could do skin to skin until they were ready to check her out.

An hour later they were back in their room, Clay was holding her, sitting on the bed beside Nicole. They were staring at the beautiful, tiny, innocent little girl they made. Nicole traced her perfect features, a gorgeous head of curled brown hair, blue eyes, and the cutest little button nose.

The nurse came in and said they were going to try and breastfeed again. Clay handed her over and got up to give her space.

"Alright, yup perfect...bring her to you..." the nurse said helping.

"Huh why isn't she latching?" Nicole was getting discouraged. Clay came and stood beside the bed, he was clueless and rubbed her arm to comfort her.

"It's okay. Well try again in a little bit, she may not be hungry." The nurse said and helped her put herself away.

"Okay..." Nicole said.

"It's okay babe." Clay told her and sat down next to her.

"It is. Did you guys decide on a name yet?" The nurse asked gathering her things.

"Yes we did." Clay said and exchanged looks with Nicole.

"Teagan Rose." Nicole told her.

"That is beautiful! Congrats again! I'll be back shortly!" She said and left.

"T." Clay said smiling.

"What?" Nicole asked.

"We can call her T." Clay said.

"Oh yeah, that's cute. Let's wait until she learns her full name though." Nicole said.

"Well right." Clay said knowing. He got out his phone to take a selfie with Nicole and baby

"Can you send that to everyone?" Nicole asked.

"Of course, I'll tell them maybe tomorrow they can visit...it's already 5pm. I think visiting hours are only until 6." He said.

Nicole agreed and snuggled her baby while Clay was texting everyone. She closed her eyes and sighed. They were finally a little family of 3. Life was good.
