AN: A hard chapter to write. I hope it's ok. I wanted to get some reactions to doujins out there and also to delve in a little into some of Da Vinci's opening plans of attack. She holds so many cards right now, will draw even more and has more plans than an architect's office. If anyone is up for it, I'd love to read any fics on character reactions to reading their own doujins or H-mangas.
Phantom Thief of Hearts:- Glad you like the chapter! Yup! That's right, I made the canon, non canon and the fic the canon if that makes sense. With Syr and Freya, I'm keeping them separate in my fic as I'm not a big fan of Syr so I don't want to include her too much. That way, I'm playing it off as the Danmachi canon is factiously made up by Shakespeare to maneuver Freya and my fic canon is canon. Again confusing but I hope you get it. Also the time paradox is set up so that the god or even heroic spirits can't tell someone's watching them right now if they were watching you five seconds ago and you didn't notice someone watching five seconds ago. Again confusing but I hope it makes sense and works. Given that, as long as Moon Cells was watching in delay then I guess in my fic the gods wouldn't know they were being watched. It all comes undone once you get into real-time.
Surfysun95:- Thanks I appreciate it. I'll see what I can do once I get there. Not quite built up to the Xenos arc yet.
hercules10hhao:- Thanks bro! Glad you liked the chapter. This chapter is like a follow up chapter of some of the reactions. Hope you enjoy it. I could do a whole fic on character reactions to their doujins but that's a different fic on its own.
Shirosaki Kizuro, ShadoWARmadaN, PittBullBytes and ghost777:- LOL! Thank the gods hentai and doujin made it to Danmachi, just as long as it's not the Danmachi gods you're thanking. I don't think they appreciated it.

Fate Grand Disorder
Chapter 43 – Fallout
Loki sat cross-legged on the sofa in Finn's office. She had her hands to her ears, blocking them as she tried to drown out the verbal abuse hurled at her. Riveria had her arms crossed over her chest and glowered angrily at Loki. "Goddess! I hope you have a good explanation for why you spent over a million valis on hentai manga!"
"I'm sorry mama!" Loki pleaded, "I didn't mean to, but I just couldn't stand the thought of other people seeing it!"
"But seriously… You bought out all stocks of each book, all three hundred copies… of every book that displeased you!" Riveria growled.
"It was 'Aizu Wallenwatsit and the Seven Dwarves'. I couldn't let anyone ever see that smut!" Loki had tears welling up in her eyes. She just wanted to protect Ais' reputation.
"It's just a work of FICTION!" Riveria yelled at her.
"B…But… But… Mama… I also managed to save three hundred copies of 'Mind Breaking Riverina'. That's gotta be ninety grand well spent right!?"
Riveria choked on her saliva when she heard this. Pounding her chest with her fist she spluttered as she turned beet red, "W…w…well okay. We can forgive ninety thousand of it."
"That's not fair," the soft voice of Lefiya spoke up, "then why couldn't you also save 'Refiya's Secret Night Life'?"
"Or 'Futanari Amazon Twins'?" Tione and Tiona added at the same time.
"IT'S JUST FICTION!" Finn raised his voice as he slammed his hands down on the table.
"Buuuut Fiiiiinnnn!" Loki wailed, "I also saved all the copies of 'Dinn, Beta, Garrod and the Magic Closet' as well as 'Beta Days' and 'Dinn does Dallas'!"
"What the hell!" Bete Logia screamed as he hit the wall in anger. "Damned Hestia familia…"
"ONE!" Finn glared as the room suddenly fell silent, "It's just fiction. Two, Hestia may own the only printing press in Orario but private citizens can contract to print whatever they want so we don't know if she did all this. Three," he turned an evil eye on Loki, "if you were so against the publications Loki, why do you have a copy of 'Lesbian Loki and her Familia' locked away in your top draw."
"B…But…" Loki didn't get to finish.
"…As well as 'Futanari Freya' and 'Tentacle Monster Loki'?"
"Now they were just hilarious!" Loki defended.
"FOUR!" Finn continued, "Lefiya would you like to explain what a copy of 'Me and My Seven Wives' is doing in your room?" Her face lit up like a candle.
He turned his attention to Riveria who seemed to flinch guiltily from his gaze, "Five… Riveria… really, 'UBW: Unlimited Boink Works'?"
He shook his head as his eyes were cast over the amazon twins, "Tiona and Tione… I don't even want to know why but… 'The Shota Chronicles'?"
"Ais… I'm surprised… 'The White One Eyed Dragon'?" Finn was disappointed in her.
"I thought I could get a clue on how to defeat the black one-eyed dragon." Ais calmly replied.
"Wrong dragon…" Finn shook his head as Ais blushed heavily while nodding in agreement.
"Besides, that would be volume two!" Gareth roared in laughter at his own joke.
Loki looked around stunned at her familia. It seemed for the moment, no one could look anyone else in the eye before turning back to stare at Finn. "But… But…" Loki tried to complain.
"No more buts!" Finn interrupted her.
"I'll say." Gareth chuckled, "seen enough of them in those mags of everyone's to last a lifetime."
"Not funny Gareth." Finn turned his glare back to the group. "Like I have warned everyone before, DO NOT MESS WITH THE HESTIA FAMILIA!"
"I… I just wanted to compl… uh talk to Hestia for a bit." Loki tried to make up an excuse.
"Is that why you were about to storm out of the city with Lefiya, Tiona and Tione until I stopped you?"
Loki had the sense to look ashamed and stared at the ground in front of her. Finn continued his lecture, "Hestia owns the mass media, she owns the only printing press in Orario, she owns everything on the internet, we can only post on our HestiaBook page, she owns that many fast-food restaurants, she owns a chain of convenience stores, she owns all our favourite soft drinks, she owns all the telecommunications, she owns her own freeway and she even has her own friggin mountain!"
He closed his eyes as he took a sharp breath to continue his rant. "I haven't even named everything they own yet because there are so many more things to list. As if that's not scary enough, she has Ottar, the 'King', strung up like a sack of potatoes on a weigh scale outside town as a warning and I have it on good authority that, that's because he challenged them to a duel and lost and now Freya has to pay his weight in gold to get him back."
Turning once more to Loki, his tone turned serious. "To top it all off, their Caster Merlin took us home early through their teleport gates that they have just set up. He assured me they'll have teleport gates set up for level fifty by the end of the week." Leaning over his table he made sure Loki heard every word he said. "They will control the dungeon too very soon and I'd rather be on their good side if we want to keep using their services. Orario's demographic is going to change dramatically very soon because of this."
Finn finally relented, "Look goddess, if you want to do something about all this, bring it up in the next Denatus. For now, you can just post a blog on your HestiaBook page complaining or you can write a letter to the Editorial section of the Orario Times."
"She owns both of them…"
No one noticed the extra book sitting on the bookshelf listening to all this.

Bell had done it. Another record was smashed. It took him six more weeks to get from level two to level three. He was sure it was due to all the training his masters had given him. All the extra hours with Heracles on weights and countless more doing his own exercise regime. But then the manga 'Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatte Iru Darou' had shown him he had an extra skill, 'Liaris Freese' which accounted for his phenomenal growth rate and his resistance to charms. When he had confronted Hestia about this, she looked guilty and finally showed him his full stat sheet, which was when he found out he'd leveled up. He would have to declare it to the guild after this meeting.
Right now though, he had to sit through a lecture from his master, Assassin Serenity. "Congratulations on reaching level three Bell."
"Thank you, master Serenity." Bell meant it wholeheartedly.
"I need to discuss a few things with you about your last battle with Goliath."
Bell looked away shyly. He could guess what she wanted to discuss. "During the battle, you were about to do something very unforgivable and unheroic…" Serenity watched Bell carefully for a response. "You were about to kiss or lick… Goliath's ass."
"S…Sorry."
"Never, ever, EVER do anything or think about doing anything that could bring down your status as a hero ever again. Do I make myself clear?" Serenity was stern.
"Yes master."
"Good Bell. Remember this, your dignity as a hero means the world of your existence. If you die, you could still become a hero, but if you lower yourself like that you will never reach the 'Hall of Heroes'."
Bell didn't know what the 'Hall of Heroes' was or whether or not Serenity was speaking metaphorically but he understood the spirit of what she was saying. He nodded his head in understanding. "Good," Serenity continued, "In future, remember the poison I trained you with is in your bodily fluids. That means you had many other options. You could have licked or spat on your blade, or you could have cut your arm and used your blood. Luckily, in the end, you chose the best option."
Bell nodded again and sighed as his mind wandered to his manga. "What's wrong, Bell?" Serenity asked concerned.
"I was thinking about my skill, Liaris Freese…"
"Are you wondering if the manga is right? That if you know you have the skill, you'd get conceited and think you're entitled to the extra excellia? You'd forget what you were striving for and the skill would stop working?" Serenity guessed.
"Y… Yeah… I guess." Bell agreed hesitantly.
"Let me ask you something then, Bell Cranel. Do you think anything in this world could stop you from chasing your dream of becoming a hero?"
"No. Nothing. It's all I ever dreamed about, all I ever wanted." Bell answered confidently.
"Then there's your answer." Serenity smiled wanly at him. "Not only I, but Caster also has great expectations of you and believe in you."
"Hahaha… Thanks." Bell shyly laughed, "But did we have to publish that fact to the world?"
"Does it matter who knows?"
"It might draw unwanted attention?"
"Like smashing the record for leveling up twice won't."
"Good point." Bell conceded. "But other gods might actively try to recruit me away from Hestia familia."
"You planning on leaving?"
"No."
"Then, again… Does it matter?"
"They might try to force me?"
"They may try, but if you don't want to go, no man or god will be able to force you. We all have your back Bell."
Bell felt a warm feeling in his chest as he heard that and couldn't keep the smile off his face. "Thanks."
"That being said, I'd like to introduce you to your next master, one who will teach you the art of the sword and who better to teach a budding hero than a heroine herself," With a grand gesture a girl about ten centimeters shorter than Bell walked in carrying a large greatsword resting on her shoulders. "This is Saber Elizabeth Bathory Brave!"
The girl, because she looked no older than Bell himself, had shoulder-length pink hair and wore a large set of red pauldrons with a white, translucent cape attached to it. Red metallic boots and gauntlets completed her armour, as Bell was sure the tiny red two-piece bikini she wore definitely did not constitute armour. She began enthusiastically, "Hi Bell Cranel. I'm Saber Elizabeth Bathory Brave. Call me Saber or Brave." She bowed to him. "I will train you to be a great hero of the sword. It's quite simple as long as you follow these easy principles. One, a hero must be invincible. Two, a hero must be enthusiastic. Three, a hero can use most of the lost items. Four, a hero must be able to sing. Five, a hero must be a great dancer. Six, a hero must have at least a hundred thousand followers on HestiaBook, Seven…"
"I think those are just your views on being a hero, not principles." She was interrupted by an impatient Serenity. "How about you stick to teaching him the sword."
"Right, right! First, you aim, then swing as hard as you can and kill the bad guy." Unfortunately, that truly was her style. "On to more important things, first, lets get you some armour."
"Um.. Okay." Bell wondered if he was going to be all right with her as a master.
"Oh… and while we walk to the armoury, let's think up some good heroic catchphrases for you." She grinned at him. "How about, 'Go ahead… make my day'."
"Um… No."
"Okay. Then how about, 'It's clobberin time!'"
"Um… No."
"Okay. Then how about, 'In brightest day, in blackest night. No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might, beware my power, Bell Cranel's…..'," she began scratching her chin while thinking hard, "What rhymes with 'might', means the same thing, but is a different word?"
"NO!"

Hestia sighed as she rested her elbows on Da Vinci's table. Her forehead rested heavily in her palms. Everything that happened in the past few days for her were a blur and from what she could remember, a heartache. The only bright spot was discovering that Bell had leveled up again, except that he had again, smashed another record. She was tempted to hide his level up but was talked out of that by Caster. Now she was in Da Vinci's office, with questions she was too scared to ask, for answers she wasn't sure she wanted to know. At least after all this, she could retire to reread her copy of 'Bell and his Eternal Flame', the one doujin she secretly enjoyed.
"Soooo…" Da Vinci began smugly, "Did you want to start or shall I?"
"Please explain," Hestia muttered tiredly.
"Well, someone didn't like us spreading information using manga and light novels, so they started printing doujins of our work and hentai doujins to really confuse the masses, so that only those already in the know would bother investigating. The rest take the whole thing as a joke and a marketing campaign."
"But we own the only printers in Orario."
"We don't control what people want to print. Right now, we're just taking advantage of a lack of copyright laws and publishing guidelines."
"Publishing laws? Copyright guidelines?" Again Hestia was starting to get lost.
"I've sent you the proposed law amendments in your inbox so be sure to bring up the proposal in the next Denatus." Da Vinci laughed slyly. "By now, I'm sure you'll get a lot of support from the other gods for the amendments."
Hestia shook her head in disbelief. "I'm afraid to ask but I will… Did you print any of the doujins?"
"Of course!" Da Vinci unashamedly admitted. "Once the enemy started printing theirs, I knew we could get away with slipping a few of ours in without anyone noticing it was us. After all, doujins are done by privateers and fans, usually using anonymous pen names. It was the perfect opportunity to prod certain gods and goddesses into action."
"Gods and goddesses? Like Freya?" Hestia held up a doujin in her hand.
"Ahh! 'Freya Fights For Freedom', a touching story if I do say so myself." Da Vinci giggled into the back of her hand.
"Yes… Lots of touching…. Not much fighting."
"All in the name of fighting for Orario's freedom!"
"She's going to be pissed as hell." Hestia looked at her mobile phone. "I'm afraid to even turn on my phone."
"Oh, my," Da Vinci feigned fear, "Why if the goddess of the strongest familia in Orario were to come here seeking vengeance, I'd have no choice but to hand over the names and addresses of all the people who put in those printing requests to us, or who knows what she'll do to us."
"They're not the real addresses or names are they?"
"Probably not. Just what was given to us by the 'clients' or 'representatives of the clients' or delivery addresses. That's what makes it an investigation. Luckily we have satellite GPS locks on the last known movements of these people before they disappeared off the surface of Orario, which we can discreetly hand over, as well as the fact that they reappear in a warehouse in Port Melen." Da Vinci seemed to be enjoying herself.
"Port Melen?"
"Yes, funny that. 'Coincidentally' outside our properties, then carriaged back in for distribution into Orario… I think it's about time we took up that offer from lord Njord and went on a small vacation to Port Melen, don't you think."
"Ugghh… I really do need a vacation… but by the sounds of it, it's not going to be one is it?" Hestia asked half-heartedly.
"The timing has to be right for it though?"
"Timing?"
"Hmm-hmm…" Da Vinci drawled, "I have inside information that a certain goddess from Telskyura will be arriving there soon enough, so it would be interesting to meet up with her."
"Kali huh?" Hestia looked up at Da Vinci, "Do I even want to know?"
"Probably not." Da Vinci took another book off her table and tossed it to Hestia.
Hestia caught the doujin and read the title. "'Kemono Ganesha'… Ugggh… What foul mind came up with this one!"
"Well… He does like monsters and animals."
"He's normally a really calm, placid god but even he's going to be really pissed about this one."
"Why if the god of the largest familia were to…"
Hestia cut her off. "I get it… You're going to use him to help you investigate as well." She sighed again. "Anything else?"
"I did give Hermes a new lead to follow up which could lead to a big scoop!"
"That doesn't sound so bad… What is it about?"
"Slave trafficking by the Ishtar familia."
Hestia shook her head. "Going for another law change? Human and Demi-Human slavery?"
"Change for all sentient beings."
"Again with the sentient beings…What does that even mean?"
Da Vinci smiled as she held up her hands in the air as if she were holding a sign, "I can see the headlines now, 'Sentient Rights' or 'Sentient, Not Slaves'!"
"Goddess Ishtar too now… Is there anyone you don't plan to offend?"
"Well, I do have some good news." Da Vinci said as she took Hestia's hand and led her outside her tent. There strung up like beans in a stack sat the Gulliver Brothers, four pallums of Freya familia, Alfrigg, Dvalinn, Berling and Grer Gulliver as well as their captain Ottar, on top of a weigh scale. "These five stormed over this morning demanding a duel of honor or something… So as agreed we fought them for 'Right of Ransom' and we won. Look at all that full plate armour those pallums are wearing, we are going to earn a mint!"
"Freya is going to be very, very, very pissed at me…"
"Or… She could be very grateful if they were returned free of charge. So grateful she may overlook a few things… It is after all a lot of gold we are talking about here."
ooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo
Freya was very, very, very pissed. It was bad enough that she was trying desperately to ignore all the doujins out there about her as it was. It became worse when a stack of 'Freya Fights For Freedom' doujins turned up at her doorstep. It was the worst when her familia captain along with the Gulliver brothers decided to storm Hestia familia and demand a duel of honor to restore her name. She really needed to kill someone. She just wished the target was easier than Hestia. She sat on her throne glaring at her vice-captain, Allen Fromel, a cat person, as he stood at attention in front of her. "Could you perhaps explain why you didn't stop Ottar and the rest from attempting to storm Hestia familia?"
"I apologize, goddess Freya. I have no excuse." Allen humbly bowed.
She looked at her phone and had read the text message from Hestia's Saber that she had again knocked out all five of her children and demanded right of ransom. The last time this had happened, Freya had expressly told Ottar he could only play with them again once he earned enough valis for the gold she would have to pay to get his body back. It was expensive but it was also good excellia compared to dungeon grinding. "What hentai did you buy?" she asked him suddenly.
Allen winced. He knew he couldn't lie to her so he told her the truth. "Friday Night Freya."
"How many men in it?"
"Just the one." Allen couldn't bring himself to meet her gaze.
"Anyone named or that we know?"
"No. It's the reader."
Freya took a breath as she closed her eyes. She was the goddess of love, sex and beauty, so of course she would understand these desires. At least Allen had fairly normal tastes, he wasn't a deviant, so she could forgive it. "Fine… You may keep it."
Allen let go of a breath he didn't know he held. "Thank you, my goddess."
"However," Freya returned her fully opened eyes back on him, "If you or anyone else has any copies of… I shall call it 'F' – four, I will expect it burned immediately. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes, my goddess." He was being extremely polite.
Freya turned her thoughts to other matters, firstly there was Bell Cranel and his manga skill, Liaris Freese. She wondered whether or not the manga was telling the truth. After some internal deliberation she decided that if he broke the level up record to get to level three as well, it was most likely true. He would become even more interesting to her again if it were so.
Tapping her finger restlessly on her armrest she tried to think about what she could do about Hestia, more specifically, that captain, Caster Leonardo Da Vinci, of hers. She didn't like to be not in full control and hated the feeling of being manipulated, even if it was for her own good. She dominated and was never to be dominated by anyone. A part of her nature as she was also a goddess of war.
Her phone rang and she grimaced as she saw the caller ID. She tapped it to accept the call. "Why, Hello there Hestia. So glad you called. I was just thinking about ringing you too." She had a face like she had just bitten a lemon. "Oh I'm sure you wouldn't intentionally print that rubbish… Of course I understand, after all business is business…"
The conversation was a long one by Freya's standard. It took nearly half an hour as Freya patiently played along with Hestia's obviously coached political rhetoric. In the end what she had got out of Hestia was a promise of a list of names and addresses which she could investigate herself to, as Hestia had put it, 'Talk to the perpetrators about the damage they were inflicting upon her good name and reputation and persuade them to stop and desist from making any future mistakes.'
Freya was sure that once she started investigating these people she would not find a bunch of over-enthusiastic fans or any starving artists or struggling writers. She knew they were trying to manipulate her and maybe even why and she didn't like it.
As an extra incentive, Hestia had even offered to release Ottar and the brothers free of charge which further put Freya in her debt. She didn't like owing anyone. This was not to her favour. The final thing Freya managed to say to Hestia was, "You know Hestia, we really should get together one day soon, just me, you and that captain of yours. Just for drinks and a chat, what do you say?"

Archer Emiya Shirou was kneeling down on the mat in front of his five Artoria girlfriends as they knelt before him as well. He was eyeing them all off with a tick mark over his eye. He slammed the book down in front of them and pointed to the cover. "UBW: Unlimited Boink Works!" He watched them carefully for a reaction. "Who's been talking to Da Vinci about our nighttime activities?"
All five women started staring off into any space that he wasn't in, absolutely avoiding any eye contact.

Now please review or make any comments or even ideas on more craziness that I could add. I'd appreciate it.
