A/N: This is not The Tales of version of Percy Jackson and the Greek Gods or Percy Jackson and the Greek Heroes, but rather The Tales of version of a book I got of Greek and Roman Mythology I got in Rome Italy. The settings will be after 'The Tales of the Heroes of Olympus: The Blood of Olympus' so please read that before getting in this story. Think of this story as something to pass by until The Trials of Apollo books.

Agamedes

A mythical architect whose son by Epicaste, Cercyon, and stepson Trophonius were equally talented architects.

The marriage chamber of Alcmene at Thebes and the temples of Apollo at Delphi and of Poseidon at Mantinea are all attributed to them. Agamedes and Trophonius also bult a treasury for King Hyrieus, in which they placed a stone that could easily be removed, allowing them to steal the king's treasures.

Hyrieus commissioned Daedalus to arrange a trap in which Agamedes was caught. Trophonius cut his head, so he could not give him away, but the earth swallowed up Trophonius near Lebadeia. In the wood of Lebadeus there was a whole and a stele bearing the name of Agamedes, and there stood the oracle of Trophonius.

Hold on guys, I need to check on something.

Okay, I'm back.

Sorry, but the moment I mention the Oracle of Trophonius, I had a shiver down my neck. When you been aware of the mystical stuff as long as I have, you come to be aware of bad signs. So I called Annabeth to check on her just to be safe.

She's fine but she questioned me. I lied and told her everything be fine. Mostly because we know better to bring up mystical stuff over mortal technology. But I'm sure she'll question me again when she gets back.

Anyways, back to Agamedes.

Well there's another version of Agamedes where the king in question was Augias. Cercyon, who took part of the theft, fled with Trophonius to Orchomenus, but when they were pursued by Daedalus and Augias, Cercyon sought refuge in Athens, and Trophonius at Lebadeus.

Another version said when Agamedes and Trophonius had built the temple of Apollo, the god promised to pay them at the end of the week and advised them to lead a happy life in the meantime. On the eighth night the two architects died peacefully, this being the best payment the god could make them.

So the lesson here seem to be don't do anything stupid where your boss would hire someone like Daedalus who is better architect than you to built a trap to kill you and appease a god and hoped for a happy ending.

I doubt it was that simple. Nothing about these stories are that simple.

Anyways, time to talk about another key name for the Greeks of the Trojan War, and I'm sure this one is long waited since he was first mention back with Achilles.

A/N: Yeah, I foreshadowed a bit of The Tales of part of Trials of Apollo series midway. When I read the part about Oracle of Trophonius I couldn't help myself. I'm still waiting until the final book of the Trial of Apollo series to be released and start the series over with reading the first story first before I get started on it.
