Time: The Next Day

"DO YOU MIND TELLING ME HOW WE MANAGED TO LOSE THREE TRANSFORMERS IN A SIMPLE SCOUTING MISSION?"

Percy, Artemis and Thalia were finally back in Mt. Iacon, and when he found out about the mission, it would be an understatement to say that Percy was livid.

His face was red, veins bulging from his forehead, and he jumped up and down. Artemis and Thalia both stood quietly off to the side, knowing by now that the efforts to calm him down were futile.

"Lord Perseus", Ironhide knew better than to refer to him by any other name in this state, "We were ambushed. There were..."

"AND HOW WERE YOU AMBUSHED?"

Shockwave stepped in, saving Ironhide from a vicious verbal onslaught. All the other Transformers stood behind him, heads bowed, with a few Hunters scattered here and there. Phoebe and Atlanta were still grieving over the deaths of their... let's not talk about that.

"There is a spy amongst us." Percy stopped dead in his tracks. "And I have reason to suspect that it is a Hunter."

It was Artemis' turn to get angry. "HOW DARE YOU EVEN SUSPECT MY HUNTRESSES, YOU STUPID..." Artemis trailed off, stopped by Percy's raised hand.

He waved his hand, motioning Shockwave to continue.

Soundwave stepped forward, and a purple screen shimmered into existence. "Look at this." Shockwave pointed at various purple, red and white blobs on the screen. "This is a thermal map of the region. Here is the scouting team." He pointed at a cluster, and slid his finger along a thin line, "And this is the road they took. This is where the traps were set." His finger stopped at a greenish region. "Not only that, there was a monster army waiting right outside our main entrance for the scouting team." He pointed at a white blob. "Obviously we killed them. But..."

"BUT WHY DO YOU SUSPECT THE HUNTERS?!" Artemis screamed, making Percy glance at her in disapproval.

Shockwave continued, unfazed, while Soundwave closed the screen. "The fact that the monster army was waiting outside the main entrance suggests that they know about it. They also knew about the scouting team that we were gonna sent and the path they were gonna take, cause there was no other way that they would spot them. However," Shockwave stopped for emphasis on the last word. "They lost the team after they took the hidden entrance."

"SO?" Artemis was having trouble keeping her voice down, the millennia of protectiveness over her Hunters acting up.

"This suggests that they did not know about the hidden entrance."

Shockwave stopped again. "Keeping this in mind, we have four groups to suspect. Unicron himself, the monsters, the Hunters and the Transformers...yes, even we are there...I think we can all agree that monsters are incapable of finding out such things without external help. So we can exclude the monsters safely." He stopped, waiting for dissent. There was none.

The son of Athena continued, "Unicron would not do it, because of he did, the monsters would know about both the entrances. He is powerful enough to know about both. Same with the Transformers. They would know about both entrances. Now..."

He was cut off by Artemis. At least this time, her voice was low. "What if Unicron did this to make us suspect ourselves? As a decoy?"

"No, he wouldn't do that. I have my reasons for it. If you want to debate this point further, you argue with me." Percy interrupted.

"Percy, what are you saying? Do you know what that means?" Artemis asked quietly.

"Yes. It means that the spy is among the Hunters."

"Percy..." Artemis warned.

"This is war. I am telling the truth, and you can shout at me all you want. You are not in such a good position yourself, considering what you did a few weeks ago." Percy reminded her coldly.

This was not new to Thalia. She had seen Percy go cold and emotionless previously, during the two wars. But it was to Artemis. She flashed away to her palace, angry and hurt tears in her eyes. Percy was unfazed as he looked over at the assembled crowd. "Dismiss. Team 1, with me." He did not mention what remained of Team 1. The loss of Barricade, their best scout, had been heavy on them.

They made their way to the creation lab, where a temporary hospital ward had been set up in the testing room.

First Aid and Perceptor were checking various devices, and in the bed, Hound was lying, struggling for every breath. A white sterile cloth covered his abdomen, but even through it, blood seeped, and a purple glow showed. His eyes were closed. Outside, his girlfriend, Lucy was sitting, weeping, her head in her hands.

"What has happened to him?" Percy asked quietly.

"He has been poisoned with dark Energon. Even some of our Decepticons can't stand it, he has no chance. Now, it is only a matter of time, before he expires. And the magic won't revive him this time, I fear." Soundwave said.

Percy laid a hand on Lucy's shoulder, but she did not move. Artemis flashed back now, illuminating the room, stopping in her tracks, when she saw the dying Transformer. She had realised how stupid she had been. Percy had been right. She had shouted at him merely for suspecting her Hunters rightly, while he had lost...four Transformers.

Percy stepped in with the others, leaving Artemis and Thalia outside to comfort their sister.

They didn't know what was going on inside, since they were separated by a glass wall, and First Aid had drawn the curtains, but they looked up at the blue-green glow which said that a space bridge had been opened.

Percy stepped back outside, head down. "What happened?" Thalia asked, worried.

Percy knelt in front of Lucy apologetically. "Hound has decided to go like a hero. He has blown up the monster base on Long Island, deciding that they needed it more than us." (The space bridge was Hound leaving for Long Island to activate his special ability, 'Burn 'em all.') "I'm sorry." The god added.

None of them was prepared for what happened next.

In a flash, Lucy's foot had whipped out, coming in contact with Percy's face. She kicked the omnipotent god across his face, sending him crashing backwards. Jumping up from her seat, she proceeded to rain down punches, kicks and scratches at the god. (She kicked him like Eden Hazard kicked Salford's ball boy. Lol XD)

"LUCY!" Artemis screamed in horror, but was stopped by Percy's raised hand. He didn't seem to resist against the relentless barrage.

"YOU ARE NO BETTER THAN THE OTHER OLYMPIANS!" Lucy broke his nose, "SITTING ON YOUR ARSE WHILE WE LABOUR!" Another punch, landing on his bleeding lips. "IF YOU HAD HELPED, NONE WOULD'VE DIED!" Percy's right eye closed shut. "STILL YOU DO NOTHING!" His metal arm was ripped off. "I HATE YOU!!"

With one last punch aimed at his face, Lucy retreated to a corner, curling up in a ball. Artemis and Thalia rushed to the bruised and battered Percy's side. He waved them back.

"There is still time." Lucy's quiet voice broke them out of the shock. None of the Transformers had emerged yet from the testing room. They were still crying over the loss of their bearded brother.

"IF I WERE YOU, I WOULD DESTROY THE SECOND BASE WITH MY POWERS RIGHT NOW!" With one last scream, Lucy broke down into a new stream of tears, and Artemis flashed away with her to her tent in the Hunt.

Thalia moved towards Percy to see that he was already up, albeit with some difficulty owing to his missing arm. In an attempt to help, Thalia picked his arm up, and awkwardly held it out to him.

Percy accepted with a brisk nod, flashing away to his own house in Iacon.

Thalia could tell that Lucy's words had affected him deeply, and that he would be deep in thinking for some time.

She knew to leave him alone to let off some steam.

Time: A week later

Percy had not emerged from his house for a week. One whole week of absence from everyone else.

Then suddenly, on a blessed, or cursed, morning, whichever you prefer, he emerged.

Soundwave has been acting as the leader of Iacon in his absence, and the Transformers were gathered at the City Centre, around the Well of Allsparks, waiting for their daily debriefing. It was at this time that Hot Rod turned up on the stage.

"I have decided.." His solemn voice broke the uncomfortable silence, "that you will be staying at Camp for the time being. Today, the second Base, the one near us, will be destroyed by me." He spoke.

"Hot Rod, are you sure?" Megatron spoke, concerned.

"Yes, old friend. There is no other way. Everyone has one hour to pack their bags to relocate."

And so it was. When the Transformers and Hunters gathered at the City Centre, an hour later, ready to move, Hot Rod kneeled on the stage, his chest open, revealing his spark.

Artemis and Thalia knew better than to question his motives. They shivered, remembering how they had slept there, in his chest, just below the spark, the night of the storm.

Optimus Prime and Megatron mirrored him, their chests open, revealing their respective Matrixes. Or keys, Artemis thought, eyeing the Allspark, which Soundwave held in his hands.

"The power of the first key grants Hot Rod." Percy chanted, his spark glowing a deeper blue.

"The power of the Matrix of Leadership unlocks Omega Supreme." Optimus Prime picked up the chant, raising the Matrix over his head, and shooting a red beam of power at Hot Rod, which was promptly absorbed. Megatron repeated the process, shooting a purple beam at the kneeling god, and chanting, "The power of the Matrix of Conquest unlocks Trypticon."

Soundwave was last. He shot a white beam of energy at the god, chanting, "And the Allspark tops all, granting access to Metroplex."

Percy screamed in pain, before he burst into a shower of golden sparks, making Artemis and Thalia cry out in fear for his well being.

The entire mountain rumbled, making rocks fall from the ceiling. The Well of Allsparks collapsed, no longer needed as the key itself was held by Soundwave. Artemis watched as the houses of the Transformers, sturdier than the throne room of Olympus, crumbled to nothing but dust.

Soundwave cried out in alarm. "Everybody, through the space bridge!" He had opened an enormous space bridge in front of the crowd, which rushed into it. Soundwave was the last to step through.

They all appeared on Half-Blood Hill, but Artemis could be bothered less, as she opened an Iris Message. It opened miles up in the sky, so high, that the twin mountains of Iacon and Kaon looked small.

However, she could make out slight disturbances. The goddess looked on for some time, joined by the rest of the curious crowd, before she realised that those were not disturbances, rather, the mountain itself was moving!

By now, the Campers had gathered to watch the enormous crowd of Hunters and Transformers, but Artemis could bother less about them. She continued watching the scene unfold before her very eyes.

The mountain rumbled, which Artemis realised was a very humane groan, before it fell apart, revealing the humanoid metallic limbs of an enormous Transformer, larger than the largest Combiner. He got up, sending rocks and debris crashing to the ground beneath him, and dusting off dirt to reveal his brilliant silver chassis with red and black markings. With a jolt, Artemis realised that this was Percy.

"Metroplex, online." The towering figure, now recognised as Metroplex, spoke, sending tremors through the earth.

Artemis gaped at the colossal, towering figure that was her boyfriend.

Metroplex covered the distance between Mt. Iacon and the monster base with ten gigantic strides, picking up speed with each step, until he was sprinting at full speed across the desert surface.

Running at several hundred miles an hour, the Titan crashed into the fortress, bringing down the structure with one well-placed shoulder.

He stopped suddenly, as if something was amiss, before he turned, to look straight at the IM. "Transformers! Hunters! Prepare for a massive attack!"

He flashed away, reappearing in front of Artemis in human form, making the goddess stumble back and land on her butt in surprise.

"It was a trap! The base has been vacated! Unicron will..."

Percy was cut off by an enormous monster army, complete with thousands of swarming Unicron spawns, appearing on the other side of the Camp border.

Time skip after the war, because I'm lazy

Artemis surveyed the damage. They had won the battle. Percy stood off to the side, checking on what remained of his Transformers. They had been massacred. Apart from them, and a few Campers, they were no other casualties. Not a hair had been harmed on the Hunter's head.

Percy sighed, falling to his knees on the ground, soaked with the blood of his men. The copper smell made the air unbearable.

Leaving her Hunters to their own devices, Artemis kneeled behind her lover, hugging him from behind, and trying to calm his body, wracked with sobs. Thalia had been admitted to the infirmary with a slight wound, so she was not there.

"Artemis!" Percy sobbed, clinging to her for dear life, forgetting all the shouting a week ago. "Artemis! If only I had been better..." His voice cracked, and he descended into silent sobbing, and a stream of new tears.

Artemis hugged him close, pressing his face to her chest to calm him down.

Suddenly, Percy sat back, pushing her away, and angrily wiping the tears. "It's not over yet."

Then he stood up, all the Transformers rising up with him. "UNICRON! FACE ME LIKE A MAN!"

"Who are you to talk about being a man, when all those boys behind you do everything?" A sinister voice came from nowhere, and a purple flash lit up the area. When the flash died down, Percy, Megatron and Optimus were already in their bot forms, and facing them, were four equally enormous figures.

Unicron, in all his spiky glory, with glowing purple eyes, stood beside three bots, each with the same purple glow. On closer inspection, Artemis could see that they looked identical to Hot Rod, Megatron and Optimus Prime, and they even stood in the same fighting stance.

"Primus!" Unicron started, with spread arms. "Meet my sons! Introducing Galvatron, Nemesis Prime, and Rodimus Unicronus. Let the fighting begin!"

With no prior warning, the three dark bots leapt on their counterparts with unmatched ferocity, as soon as the words were out of his mouth.

Megatron was grappling with Galvatron, none able to land a blow, while Optimus and Nemesis were trading blows like no one's matter. Hot Rod and Rodimus Unicronus were a blur, even Artemis' godly senses unable to catch up with the two.

"Artemis dear, I believe you have something of mine." Artemis froze at her name, looking at the approaching Unicron with terror. She knew that she couldn't face him in all her immortal life. She was ready to flash away to safety, when the most unlikely Transformer came to her rescue.

"Nuh-uh." Emperor Deathsaurus' axe slammed into his side, sending Unicron flying, but not before he backhanded the Deception across the field. Immediately, the remaining of Team 1, namely, Drift, Ironhide, and Emperor Deathsaurus, were in a deadly match with Unicron, leaping in to land a blow, and leaping out just in time, before the other landed a blow.

Soundwave and Shockwave were occupied trying to protect the Allspark, which was held in the former's hands, from the hordes of Unicron spawns, which were nothing as compared to the real deal.

Artemis turned just in time to see Optimus get overwhelmed by Nemesis Prime. Megatron roared, and lunged at Nemesis, trying to exact vengeance for his lover, despite Percy's shout of warning. Having forgotten all about Galvatron, the leader of the Decepticons was easily struck down by the two combined, who then proceeded to rip out the twin Matrixes from the chassis of the dead leaders.

Percy, enraged at having lost his earliest two recruits, backhanded Rodimus with such force that his head was blown clean off his shoulders.

He charged the two remaining sons of Unicron.

Artemis was scared out of her mind when she felt Celestial Bronze shackles materialize on her wrists, and a sword pressed against her throat.

"Stop the fighting!" Her captor shouted.

Percy, already having killed Nemesis Prime and Galvatron in the small time, turned over to look at her, and stopped dead in his tracks. "ARES?!" He screamed, enraged.

Drift, who was losing against Unicron, now that both Ironhide and the Emperor were dead, stopped, threw his sword down in surrender, when he saw his leader compromised.

"Why are you siding with him?" Percy growled.

Unicron dusted himself, and stepped up next to the bound moon goddess.

"Now, the keys." Percy's eyes widened as the Matrixes appeared in his hand. Not only that, but also the halo on the back of his throne, and Artemis' half of the key.

(This was why Artemis was punished. Percy did not know that her key had been switched, he just thought that she had displaced it for some time, recovering it later.)

"Now, I believe, explanations are in order." Thalia's key appeared in his hand.

"Thalia too?!" Percy shouted in disbelief.

"No no, first give me the Allspark, then I will let your goddess go, and give you the explanations." Unicorn said, without a care in the whole wide world.

Percy nodded, towards Soundwave, who let go of the Allspark. Immediately, the last key floated to Unicron.

"Okay, so you know about the spy," Percy growled as the devil put together the two pieces of the Lover's Key together. "You know how I got three keys. The spy got me Thalia's share, while it was easy for Ares to swipe Artemis' key and replace it with a false one."

Unicron stopped to face Percy. "When the gods created womankind, they cursed them with the fatal flaw of curiosity. Artemis wanted to see if you were speaking the truth, so she took apart the halo, which Ares stole since she couldn't attach it back properly."

"You still wouldn't be able to place them in the correct order."

"Oh really? Artemis told everything to her close sister, Athena. And everyone knows how much Athena likes to flaunt her knowledge." Unicron kneeled in front of Percy, stabbing him with the keys in the correct positions.

Percy screamed in pain, with a white flash, which made everyone turn away. When they turned back, Unicron and the keys were gone. Percy was panting heavily, laying on the ground, gaping wounds where he had been stabbed by the keys. He shot a dirty look at Artemis, 'We will have a long talk later.' A pile of golden dust lay where Ares had been earlier.

"Olympians!" He shouted at the sky.

Immediately, the rest of the gods flashed in, illuminating the Hill in their divine light. "Thanks to Artemis," Percy shot another look at the moon goddess, "Earth is doomed. I have already transported all the mortals, and with them, the Flame of the West, to the moon, where Artemis would be able to support you for the time being. Soundwave, open a space bridge!"

Again, a massive blue-green portal opened up under Thalia's Pine. "Take this to the moon. No questions. We have limited time."

After everybody had left, only Percy, Artemis and his nephew were left. Regrettably, Thalia was sleeping, so she had been unable to say goodbye. Soundwave we standing by the bridge, waiting for the moon goddess, who was torn between whether to say goodbye to her lover for possibly the last time ever.

Finally, with tears in her eyes, Artemis turned to leave, deciding that Percy did not deserve someone as bad as her. Which girlfriend gave away her lover's secrets, and put his life in danger?

She was going to step through the space bridge, when Soundwave stopped her with a hand on her shoulder. He pointed behind her, where Percy was lying on the ground. "Where's my kiss?" He managed to groan out, before smirking, "Don't think you are off the hook yet."
