I don't own Sailor Moon, nor did I create it. Naoko Takeuchi created Sailor Moon, this is just my alternate universe version, a sort of "If I created Sailor Moon" story...

CHAPTER 37: HOW I SPENT MY SUMMER VACATION #8
LOVE, USAGI TSUKINO STYLE
PROLOGUE
"Hi, my name is Tsukino Usagi, or, using Western naming convention, Usagi Keiko Tsukino. My birthdate is June 30, 1970, and I was born in La Mirada, California, which is a suburb of Los Angeles. I don't know much about my birth parents, except they're both deceased. My father was in the Army, he went to Vietnam and was killed when he fell on a live grenade in order to save his platoon, while my mother died giving birth to me. I was adopted when I was only 3 months old, my adoptive parents are Kenji Tsukino and his wife, the former Ikuko Maeda, a Japanese-American couple. Kenji is from the United States, his father fought in World War II as a member of the 442nd Infantry Regiment, a unit famous for being made up of Japanese-American soldiers. Kenji's father was injured in combat, and fell in love with a nurse from the VA hospital where he recovered from his injuries, while Ikuko was born in Yokohama, and emigrated to this country just before her seventh birthday. Anywho, they told me that when I was a little baby, I was as cute as a little baby bunny, which is why they named me Usagi, the Japanese word for rabbit. That's why I kind of have a thing for rabbits, seeing that my name is rabbit. Anyways, I grew up in a normal Japanese-American family, with my parents and my younger brother Shingo. That is, until a few months after my sixteenth birthday, when I rescued a black cat who was being mistreated by some boys. The cat later gave me a brooch which gave me powers, and transformed me into a superhero named Sailor Moon. As Sailor Moon, I fight the forces of evil alongside my friends, the other Sailor Soldiers, as well as a local suburban vigilante named Golden Hawk. In the last couple weeks, I began dating a boy named Jerry. He and I seemingly don't have anything in common, but as it turns out, he and I were lovers in a past life, where I was a princess of a kingdom on the Moon. Anyways, that's my life so far. When I'm not Sailor Moon, I'm just a normal American teenage girl."
JULY 18, 1987
Jerry Logue woke up at 6:15 in the morning. He got u to use the bathroom, and couldn't get back to sleep. He put a tape in his boombox, a mixtape he made from songs he liked listening with his headphones, so as not to disturb anyone else who was sleeping. However, the smell of coffee brewing told him he wasn't the only one awake, as his stepmother Bonnie was awake, and was brewing a pot of coffee. After a few songs, while he was listening to "Cheeseburger in Paradise" by Jimmy Buffett, Bonnie knocked on his bedroom door. "Usagi's here," Bonnie said. "You didn't forget we were going to Knott's Berry Farm today, did you?"
"No," Jerry said. "What's Usagi doing here so early anyways?"
"I invited her and Shingo over," Bonnie said.
"Tell her I'm going to take a shower," Jerry said. He took a quick shower, and got dressed, he wore a heather gray Maui & Sons T-shirt, faded blue jean shorts, white socks, and white leather Reebok high tops with a Velcro strap across each ankle. He went downstairs, where Usagi was sitting on the couch in the den, watching an episode of Josie and the Pussycats. She was wearing a pink top worn off the shoulders, white shorts, white socks, and pink leather Reebok high tops with two Velcro straps across each ankle, and aside from her French manicure, wasn't wearing any makeup. "Good morning, beautiful," Jerry said, giving her a kiss.
"Good morning," Usagi said.
"Morning, lovebirds," Steve said, as he came downstairs.
"Good morning," Jerry said.
"So when's breakfast?" Steven asked.
"In a bit," Bonnie said .
"Think I have enough time to take a quick shower?"
"Sure," Bonnie said.
"Shingo will be over in a bit," Usagi said. "He just got out of the shower himself when I left."
"Good," Steve said. "No offense Jerry and Usagi, but I'd rather not have to hang out with the two of you at Disneyland today. I realize the two of you are in love, but the way the two of you act when you're around each other, it does border on nauseating."
"Gee thanks," Jerry said. "Just wait until you get a girlfriend, and it's my turn to get nauseated."
"It'll never happen," Steve said.
"I said the same thing," Jerry said, putting an arm around Usagi's shoulders and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. "But then I finally screwed up the courage to speak to Usagi."
"So what's for breakfast, anyways?" Steven asked.
"I thought we would stop for breakfast on the way to Knott's," Bonnie said. "Jerry, you know where Alphy's is on Beach, don't you?"
"Of course," Jerry said. "It's one of my favorite places."
"And you two don't mind riding by yourself, do you?" Bonnie asked. "There's not exactly enough room in my car for you two, as well as Steve and Shingo."
"I kind of like Jerry and I riding together by ourselves," Usagi said.
"Since we're taking Bonnie's car," Jerry Lee said, tossing Jerry the keys to his Toyota pickup, "you're more than welcome to take my truck."
"Actually, I like riding on Jerry's bike," Usagi said. "I can't really put my arms around him and lean up against him in a car or truck like I can on a motorcycle."
"What did I tell you?" Steve asked, as Shingo arrived. "Nauseating."
"Let me reiterate," Jerry said. "Wait until you get a steady girlfriend."
"You can bet when I do, we won't be so vomit inducing," Shingo said.
"Don't be so sure," Usagi said.
"Anyways," Jerry Lee said, "we're ready to go. Now Bonnie told you where we're going for breakfast, right?"
"Alphy's on Beach," Jerry said. "I'll meet you guys there. And we'll be taking my bike. I kind of like Usagi putting her arms around me and leaning up against me."
"Okay," Jerry Lee said. "See you two at Alphy's."
As Jerry Lee, Bonnie, Steve, and Shingo pulled out of the garage in Bonnie's 1986 Mercury Sable, Jerry wheeled his Harley-Davidson SS-350 out of the garage, followed by Usagi. Once they were out of the garage, Jerry Lee closed the garage door. "Hop on, Lapine," Jerry said.
"Lapine?" Usagi asked. "Is that your pet name for me?"
"Yeah," Jerry said. "Its the feminine form of the French word for Usagi. You don't like it?"
"I love it," Usagi said. "I always thought French was a much more romantic language than Japanese."
The two of them got on Jerry's bike, and as he started the engine, Usagi wrapped her arms around him. They rode to Alphy's in La Mirada, on Beach Boulevard, on the way to Knott's Berry Farm. When they arrived, they parked in a space specifically for motorcycles, and went in. Jerry Lee, Bonnie, Steven, and Shingo arrived a few minutes earlier, and were still waiting to be seated. Within a minute after Jerry and Usagi arrived, they were seated. Jerry and Usagi looked at the menu, and quickly decided what they wanted. They both got hamburger and eggs, with hash browns. Jerry got biscuits and gravy, Usagi got sourdough toast, and they both got coffee, Jerry took his with sugar, Usagi took hers with cream and sugar. After breakfast, they went to Knott's, and met out front, where Jerry Lee got everybody's tickets. As soon as they got in the park, Jerry and Usagi went straight to Corkscrew, which was Jerry's favorite ride in the park. Next, they went on Knott's Bear-y Tales, a dark ride with a storyline of a family of bears on their way to the fair. Next, they went on several rides, including the bumper cars, Greased Lightning, and Wacky Soap Box Racers. "Enjoying yourself yet, Lapine?" Jerry asked, as they got in line for Wacky Soap Box Racers.
"Of course I am," Usagi said, hugging Jerry's arm. "And not just because we're at Knott's Berry Farm, either. It's because I'm here with you. I know we've only known each other for a couple weeks, but it seems like we've known each other forever."
"We kind of have known each other forever," Jerry said, as they boarded the ride, Jerry in back of Usagi. He put his arms around her, and she leaned back into him, as if they were riding his motorcycle.
"True," Usagi said.
"Now I see why you like riding with me on my motorcycle," Jerry said, as the ride ended.
"I just like being with you," Usagi said.
"And I like being with you as well, Lapine," Jerry said. "It's because I love you."
"And I love you, Googie Bear," Usagi said.
"Googie Bear," Jerry said. "Schmaltzy, sickeningly sweet, cheesy, corny, and more vomit inducing than Icapec. I love it."
The two of them walked around, holding hands, and managed to get in one more ride, on the mine train, before meeting up with Jerry Lee and Bonnie for lunch. "So what do you two want to do for lunch?" Jerry Lee asked.
"I'm not all that picky," Usagi said. "But if I had to choose, I'd say I could go for a burger."
"I was thinking fried chicken," Jerry said, "but I know that's what we're doing for dinner. But a burger is good, too."
"Burgers," Shingo said.
"Burgers sounds good to me," Steve said
"Guess that settles it," Jerry Lee said. "Burgers it is. But don't forget, we're having dinner at the chicken dinner restaurant. It's been a while since I had a fried chicken dinner from there"
They went to a fast food place in the Roaring 20s area of the park for lunch. Jerry and Usagi both got double cheeseburgers and fries, with boysenberry punch. After lunch, they went on the Log Ride and Mine Train. After the Mine Train, they went to the Mexican Fiesta area of the park. The first ride they went on in that section was Montezooma's Revenge. As they got in line, they passed by an older couple, who appeared to be in their late 60s. The couple were holding hands, Jerry and Usagi couldn't help but stare at them. "Is everything okay?" the male of the couple asked.
"I'm sorry," Jerry said. "Looking at you two, I just saw my girlfriend and I in 50 years."
"I could see why you would see that," the woman said. "You two look so happy together."
"Yes," the man said. "I don't think I've seen any two people more meant to be together. I can understand if the two of you don't think it's any of my business, but how long have you two been together?"
"Believe it or not," Usagi said, "we only met two weeks ago."
"By the way," the woman said, "my name is Elizabeth, and this is my husband Ed."
"It's funny you see in us yourselves in 50 years," Ed said. "Today just happens to be Elizabeth's and my fiftieth wedding anniversary."
"Congratulations," Jerry said.
"Fifty years," Elizabeth said. "The only time we were ever apart was when Ed was in Europe with the Army. You know, you two remind me of Ed and I when we first got together. Ed and I have a feeling you two are in it for the long haul, like we have been. We'd like to give you some advice. First off, it's not going to be smooth sailing all the way."
"True," Ed said. "Elizabeth and I have hit some rough patches since we've been together. But we loved each other, so we worked through the rough patches."
"We were raised to repair things when they were broken or damaged instead of just throwing them out," Elizabeth said. "Anyways, you two like roller coasters?"
"Yes," Jerry said.
"I love them," Usagi said.
"A relationship is a lot like a roller coaster," Elizabeth said. "You have your ups, you have your downs, and sometimes, you get thrown for a loop. It might seem scary at times, but the ride sure is fun. And with proper care and maintenance, it'll give you a lifetime of enjoyment."
"Thank you," Jerry said. "By the way, my name's Jerry, and this is Usagi."
"Nice to meet the two of you," Ed said.
Next, Jerry and Usagi went on Montezooma's Revenge. "I could totally see us as Ed and Elizabeth in 50 years," Usagi said.
"Me too," Jerry said.
After Montezooma's Revenge, they went on Dragon Swing, as well as a couple other rides in that area of the park, before making their way back to Ghost Town, where they walked around for a bit. They went to the Haunted Shack, a house that was supposedly built on the center of gravity. After the Haunted Shack, they walked around the Ghost Town area, taking in some of the shops and other exhibits. "Having a good time, Googie Bear?" Usagi asked.
"Of course I am, Lapine," Jerry said.
"I just thought of something," Usagi said. "Have you ever been to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm in one day?"
"No," Jerry said. "Have you?"
"Not yet," Usagi said. "But I was thinking, after dinner, we could hop on the back of your bike, and head on down there, maybe hit a couple rides."
"I like the way you think, Lapine," Jerry said, giving Usagi a kiss.
"And I like the way you kiss, Googie Bear," Usagi said.
The two of them walked around for a while, going on the occasional ride, until it was time to meet up for dinner. They met up with everyone else at the world famous Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner restaurant. Everyone got fried chicken dinners, Jerry got his with all dark meat. The dinners were 4 course, with salad, chicken noodle soup, the main course, and dessert. The main dinner consisted of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and a choice of corn or boiled cabbage with diced ham, and the dinner also included biscuits with butter and boysenberry jam. Jerry and Usagi got their salads with 1000 island, and corn, and to drink, Jerry got boysenberry punch, while Usagi got Diet Coke. For dessert, they got boysenberry pie. "We're going to be taking off after dinner," Jerry Lee said.
"Usagi and I are leaving after dinner ourselves," Jerry said. "If there are no objections."
"We're going to Disneyland for a couple hours," Usagi said. "I already called my parents, they said it was okay.
"I don't see a problem," Jerry Lee said. "You have your motorcycle, and if Usgai's parents said it was okay, I guess it's okay with me."
After dinner, Jerry and Usagi got on Jerry's bike, and went to Disneyland. Once they got into the park, the first ride they went on was Peter Pan's Flight. While they were on the ride, Jerry stole a kiss as they flew over London, while Usagi stole a kiss as they flew over Neverland. Next, they went on Casey Jr. Circus Train, where they rode in the backwards facing seat on the caboose. Next, they rode Storybook Land Canal Boats, and then grabbed sodas and a snack, and watched the fireworks from Videopolis. After the fireworks, they went home. "You mind parking in front of your house and walking me home?" Usagi said, when they got back on Jerry's motorcycle.
"Of course," Jerry said.
They rode home, Jerry parking his motorcycle in his garage. He and Usagi went into the house, where Bonnie and Jerry Lee were sitting up waiting for him. "You two have fun at Disneyland?" Bonnie asked.
"Yes," Usagi said. "Googie Bear and I only went on a couple rides, and left right after the fireworks, but we had a good time."
"Googie Bear?" Bonnie asked.
"Uh, that's Lapine's pet name for me," Jerry said.
"And I suppose Lapine is your pet name for her," Jerry Lee said.
"Yeah," Jerry said. "It's French for Usagi. Speaking of whom, I'm going to walk her home, I'll be back in a bit."
"I asked him to walk me home once we got back," Usagi said.
"We'll leave the porch light on for you," Bonnie said.
"Okay," Jerry said, as he and Usagi left.
"I really did have a good time today," Usagi said, as they left.
"Me too," Jerry said.
"I was thinking about that old couple we saw at Knott's," Usagi said. "When I saw them, how much they were still in love with each other, I saw you and I in 50 years."
"I did too," Jerry said. "And I thought about what they said, about how a relationship is like a roller coaster. It has its ups, it has its downs, sometimes it throws you for a loop, but the ride sure is fun."
"True," Usagi said.
"You know," Jerry said, "if I knew how happy I would be being with you, I would have gained the courage to talk to you back when we still went to Tuffree."
"I wish you had spoken to me back then," Usagi said. "I mean, I'm not a scary person. In fact, I'm one of the most kindhearted people I know. In fact, my kind heart is part of why Luna chose me to be Sailor Moon."
"It wasn't just that I was afraid of you," Jerry said. "I told you this before, but I was afraid of looking like a fool in front of you."
"Looking like a fool?" Usagi asked.
"I told you before," Jerry said. "I didn't know what to say to you."
"And I told you before as well," Usagi said. "You could always have started with hello."
"I know that now," Jerry said. "But I do have a confession. Back when I first developed a crush on you, I could have never imagined in a million years it was because you and I were lovers in a past life."
"That's what the dream was," Usagi said. "Remember, the last couple years, I've been having a recurring dream about a prince and princess. I could never see their faces, but for some reason, I always knew I was the princess. It wasn't just a dream, it was a memory from my past life."
"Same with me," Jerry said. "I had a similar recurring dream the last couple years. A prince, a princess, a palace, the whole works. I could never see anyone's faces, but I knew I was the prince. And in the last couple weeks, I realized you're the princess, and it's a memory of a past life."
"So it's no coincidence that the old friend my mom ran into a couple weeks ago just happened to be your uncle," Usagi said.
"I guess so," Jerry said. "I'm just glad things worked out like they did."
"Anyways," Usagi said, "Looks like we're at my house. I was hoping we would have a little more time."
"We have all the time in the world," Jerry said. "We have our whole lives. And not just this life, but the next life, and the next one, and every other life after that."
"I know," Usagi said. "But I want to be with you."
"I have tomorrow off," Jerry said. "We can hang out all day tomorrow."
"That would be nice," Usagi said, as they got to the door, and Usagi kissed him. "I love you," she said, as she opened the front door.
"I love you," Jerry said, as she entered the house, and closed the door.
