AN: First chapter that has three fused together. title wouldn't fit really. Filling the Light with Darkness!, Full Moon and Many Arms! and The Prism Between Light and Darkness!
Somewhere in a dark place, a bunch of crystals shatter and from them, emerges a beast of darkness whose mouth glows making Lunala, Solgaleo and Tycrom to come out of an Ultra Wormhole to face this mysterious being as it charges straight at them. Ashly and her Pokémon wake up to a brand new morning as they see Poipole is being worried and searching for something. Ignoring it, Ashly goes to get some food, but is shocked to see that Kukui has his coat buttoned up as he claims that he was cold and shows a T-shirt under the coat. Ashly is confused, but Kukui replies that he feels that his mind was shrouded in clouds and furthermore was that Burnet who is lying on the floor claims she is a little sleepy. Instead of going to the ocean, she is observing the Luvdisc and trying not to fall asleep as Ashly makes Tomoe and Amber's lunches as she has them both taking lessons from Mew, Lucario and Gardevoir on the fifth island of the Aloha Region: Holu'Holu Island. At school, Ashly greets Sophocles, who claims to be hungry because his mother overslept for once.
Others walk into the classroom: Mallow had to do her father's chores because he didn't feel up for it. Kiawe and his sister had to overwork themselves to finish taking care of the Pokémon before his deliveries. Lana finds it strange that her dad didn't go out fishing and was lazing about at home. Even Lillie's butler, Hobbes was falling asleep as well. Ashly says her parents are acting weird, too. Kukui comes in and said "Hey everyone" instead of "Alola" like he usually does. He says the topic for the class about Manalo Festival and then leaves. He then falls asleep with Principal Oak. Kiawe has no choice but to teach the class about the Manalo Festival: Every twenty-one years, there is a solar eclipse in Alola. The Island Kings and Queens go to their respective ruins and offer a Pokémon that created Alola a prayer of gratitude and the festival commemorates that event.
Ashly asks about the meaning behind Manalo which Kiawe translates as "You and I are living here together." Lillie notes how Manalo and Alola sound together, and the latter's meaning is "to share". Kiawe states the Pokémon that created Alola is referred to as "the Blinding One". Ashly repeats these words, for Acerola, on Ula'ula Island, told her about it. Rotom shows a picture of the Blinding One from Acerola's book and remembers that Poipole made a painting of it on the ceiling. Ashly and Mallow are uncertain why would Poipole draw that thing who gazes at Rotom's photo. Lillie tells the legend of the Blinding One to the group, the story that her mother was told from her grandfather which her mother passed onto her and Gladion. The Blinding One appeared on the planet and glew with a light to illuminate. Through the light, the region: Alola was made. The Blinding One eventually stopped glowing turned black and went into slumber.
The two light emissaries from sun and moon shared it's light with it. The Blinding One was restored and flew off glowing once more to the ends of the sky. Ashly asks about the emissaries whom Mallow believes to be Solgaleo and Lunala. Sophocles asks about the end of the sky which Lana believes it refers to the Ultra Wormhole. Kiawe realizes it could mean that the Blinding One is still somewhere beyond the Ultra Wormhole. Lillie believes so which makes Poipole look at the cloudy sky. Suddenly, Komala rings the bell signifying lunch as Sophocles doesn't have lunch and claims his life to be over. Ashly starts mimicking Principal Oak's charades and gives a bit of his lunch to Sophocles as do everyone else. Storm and others also share their food with Charjabug and Togedemaru. Lana and Kiawe see this is sharing and living together: "Alola, Manalo". James and Jessie aren't very enthusiastic about the upcoming solar eclipse, but Meowth says everyone is looking forwards to it.
However, Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny are also lazying off. Mallow goes home, only to find the place empty: her father and a bunch of other people are at Oranguru's place. Ashly and Kiawe do some Z-Move training, but their moves suddenly evaporate in thin air. They believe the cloudy skies has something to do with them not absorbing enough Z-Power. Suddenly, Poipole makes a drawing of a flash which Rotom takes a picture of. At the Aether Foundation, the scientists are investigating the unusually low Ultra Aura readings as Faba is trying to figure that out, but Wicke lazily tells him not to speak unless she allows it. Faba apologizes, but Wicke realizes she didn't mean to be harsh believing this is because of her bad mood. Lusamine enters the room who is also in a bad mood, believes that the Ultra Aura is diminishing. They discover a miniature Ultra Wormhole is sucking in the Ultra Aura. Wicke reminds that the Ultra Wormhole emitted the aura, but this one is sucking it in.
Burnet feels there's something inside that's sucking that aura and need to investigate much to everyone's dismay as Matori from Team Rocket who travelling inside a helicopter with the Alolan Meowth is contacted by Giovanni. She reports the Ultra Wormhole has opened albeit a small one and is a chance "it" may appear. Seeing her mission is to investigate more, Giovanni only wishes the mission to be successful and logs out before her subordinate, Gozu has the optical camouflage turned on as they are approaching the Alola region. Gladion elsewhere, tries to subdue Silvally who is scared as this makes Gladion realize something wrong will happen as Solgaleo, Lunala and Tycrom are traveling through an Ultra Wormhole when the strange dark Pokémon from before pursues and attacks them making Solgaleo to be hit by the being's lasers while Lunala tries to flee from it with Tycrom blasting at the Pokémon.
At the school, the heroes notice the sky is getting darker and think a storm is coming. The Ultra Guardians dispatch call rings, but since Kukui usually opens the door, Ashly does it instead. The Ultra Guardians go down to the headquarters. Clefable gestures to the screen, but the chair is empty. Lusamine slowly crawls up and greets the heroes. Lillie is annoyed that her mother is ungroomed who casually replies that's a pain. She tells the group to head to the Altar of the Sunne on Poni Island. She says she will reveal the details when they get there. She forgets to do the cool ending line, so Ashly does it instead: "Ultra Guardians, move out!" They arrive at the altar and Lusamine says "the seventh one" should be here shortly. Gladion appears in an armor riding a Noivern. He says that his Silvally was acting strange and it might be an extremely dangerous Ultra Beast.
He then notices Poipole; Ashly responds by introducing it and asking Gladion "Isn't it cute?", though Gladion is uneasy around it. Lusamine says Burnet would explain everything as Burnet explains the Ultra Aura being decreased while Wicke says that might be because their motivation is dropping as well. Lusamine says that it somehow doesn't affect children and Pokémon. They say that a small Ultra Wormhole opened and is sucking up the Aura and an Ultra Beast with that property may be on the other side and that being can go through if the hole gets bigger. They attempt to confirm the exact location to which Wicke yells at Faba. Faba says the clouds are in the way and shows the cloud dispersing machine he invented to clear them up with their Z-Moves. The heroes say they couldn't use Z-Moves yesterday and Burnet says that Z-Power is intricately linked to Ultra Aura. Faba says that he thinks four of them using weak Z-Moves will be enough to activate the machine.
Thus Ashly, Kiawe, Lana and Gladion have Storm, Popplio, Marowak and Lycanroc use the Z-Moves Gigavolt Havoc, Inferno Overdrive, Hydro Vortex and Continental Crush respectively. The machine absorbs the power and emits a shot in the sky, clearing all the clouds and revealing the sunset. Wicke goes to find the Ultra Wormhole's location while Lusamine wants to show them a new ruin they discovered in the Altar of the Sunne. In a dark room, they see a huge painting with the Blinding One with the symbol Poipole drew earlier and a bunch of letters from an ancient alphabet. Lusamine says if they decipher the code, they might uncover the mystery behind the legend. Wicke quickly tells them to return as she says they found out where the hole is, but the hole keeps on getting bigger. They point to the moon - the wormhole opens up to which Gladion sends Silvally. Lunala comes out of the Ultra Wormwhole surprising everyone making Wicke drop her box of cookies.
Everyone is excited, but then Silvally growls making Lillie to ask if Lunala was the one sucking in the Ultra Aura, but Gladion denies for another one is following her and the dark beast comes out shocking everyone meanwhile the people at Oranguru's place go home for the night walking like zombies as they start muttering nonsense, Oranguru shakes it's head at them. With Ashly and her friends, she shakes her head with tears coming down as she can't believe Necrozma is after her three chibimons as she needs to stop him and quick as she can't lose her chibimons making her to think fast as she knows what will happen and she has been dancing and sing as much as she can while praying at the Alter of the Moon with offerings to keep him from harming her chibimons making it to work, but it still wasn't enough as she had Lillie and Gladion do a dance with her as the Sun was finally part of the symbol making it to semi-work as now Ashly is going to be needing something else to save her chibimons from Necrozma and fast, too really.
'NOOOO!' Ashly shouts mentally as she was quick sent a 'Aura Sphere' at him making him to see Ashly making him to be shocked as Ashly is crying making him to feel guilty for his actions, but she can't help him anymore making him to turn away from her as she jumps up into the sky and sent a 'Thunderbolt' at him making him to see her floating in the air as she wasn't going to lose her chibimons making her to be quick as she used 'Extreme Speed' before slamming a huge 'Shadow Ball' into him making him to hit the water making Nebula to be shocked as she can't believe her memma is defending her as Necrozma came out and looks Ashly in the eyes before blasting at her to send her in the water, but she dodges and slams a 'Ax Kick' to him before 'Psychic' blasting him back into the waters making Gladion to be shocked at what he is seeing making him to be scared as he never saw Ashly like this before while Lusamine and the others plus Kukui were shocked before Kiawe had to get her out of there and Necrozma goes back after Nebula.
"Sorry, Ashly. I can't let you get hurt. We'll think of another way. For now, let's report in to Lusamine." Ashly nods as she mentions that an Ultra Wormhole was sucking up every adult's and the Z-Moves' energy, so the Ultra Guardians dispatched and went to the Altar of the Sunne to solve the problem. She doesn't know what could've appeared from the Wormhole as Lunala came out and was chased by a mysterious Pokémon. Ashly is in disbelief thinking the other being is an Ultra Beast which Burnet confirms as Ashly is trying to get it's attention to her to keep Nebula safe really. The mysterious one begins to absorb Lunala's Ultra Aura; the group notices that they are heading towards Melemele Island and follow. Lusamine declares the group must pursue them. The Ultra Guardians fly off while the grownups lament that they must follow them, too. Meanwhile at the food truck, Meowth yells at Jessie and James who don't have motivation, either.
Meowth then notices Lunala chased by the mysterious Ultra Beast and states they have to contact the Team Rocket HQ The plane led by Matori have arrived in Alola and the crew notes that they've been feeling lax since entering the region. Gozu thinks they should turn around and head home which makes the Alolan Meowth angry. Meowth reaches contact with them, but is surprised to see Matori in her new outfit. Matori claims it is none of his business, but is told that Lunala is being pursued by an Ultra Beast on Melemele Island. Matori has the plane fly towards Melemele Island. She replies that they, the elite squad of Team Rocket: Matori Matrix, will catch Lunala. She tells them they should head back home and logs out. This makes Jessie angry for hanging up as Meowth is glad that Jessie is back to her old self, but in truth, she continues being lazy. Meowth becomes outraged reminding them if Matori gets Lunala, she'll be promoted and will be able to boss them around even more.
Back at Melemele island, Kahuna Hala notes that it was because of the Ultra Beasts that the weather was bad and fears a battle breaking out. Lunala and the beast head towards Hala and his Hariyama, but Tapu Koko blocks the mysterious Ultra Beast and then attacks it. Uninterested with the Island Guardian, the beast returns to chasing Lunala. The Ultra Guardians continue following Lunala and the Ultra Beast: the two trade hits as the Ultra Guardians approach them. Lunala lands a hit on the Ultra Beast, who is unphazed and retaliates. Lunala starts emitting blasts, which hit the Ultra Beast. Next, Lunala warps itself behind the Ultra Beast to use Phantom Force. The Ultra Guardians are pleased with Lunala who uses Phantom Force once more. This time, the Ultra Beast strikes at Lunala hitting it before it could execute it's attack. Ashly and Gladion close in on the Ultra Beast and have Garchomp and Noivern use Dragon Pulse and Boomburst.
Their two attacks only made the beast mad who attacks them with lasers. This causes Lillie to fall off Altaria only to be caught by Lunala. The heroes share their thanks, but then, the beast swoops down on them. Charizard's Flamethrower, Flygon's Fire Blast, Metang's Flash Cannon and Dragonair's Ice Beam hit the Ultra Beast. This only annoys the beast and the Ultra Guardians are forced to retreat from it's dangerous attack. Poipole alerts Ashly to the back of the mysterious beast and Rotom reminds that it looks just like the drawing Poipole made and the picture of the mural. Rotom comes to the conclusion that it has something to do with the Blinding One and starts taking pictures. Lunala and the beast get into melee and then it starts absorbing Lunala; through Rotom's analysis, it was trying to possess Lunala. Lillie fears this is similar to what happened to her mother and Nihilego to which Gladion dashes away.
He has his Noivern use Boomburst followed with Bite. The Ultra Beast takes the hits, but it shakes Noivern off. Gladion falls down and this time, Ashly catches him. Suddenly, as Lunala is unconscious, the beast splits and equips itself to Lunala, possessing it. However, the beast gets trapped by an electric net; Sophocles notices that it came from a previously optically-camouflaged flying ship. The Matori Matrix begins pulling up the catch, but the beast breaks out of the net and the net falls towards Ashly. An Ultra Wormhole then appears and Solgaleo - Nebby - comes running out, pushing the net away. After a short greeting with Ashly, Nebby goes to fight the beast fused with Lunala. Nebby fires it's attack, but gets countered by the beast's lasers. However, Nebby charges up, glowing with a strong light and hits the beast causing it to defuse. Lunala, free from the control of the beast, falls and crashes into the beach while the beast falls into the sea.
Solgaleo goes to check on Lunala, but it gets hit by Team Rocket's ship. Gozu has them launch another net and does not care if Nebby gets hurt in the process. After the electric net traps the duo of Solgaleo and Lunala, Gladion sends Silvally and Ashly sends Pikachu. With an Air Slash and a Thunderbolt, the net is cut and the two Legendary Pokémon are freed. Nebby attacks the aircraft making the airship retreat. The beast comes out of the sea and this time, the beast equips itself to Nebby then vanishes through the Ultra Wormhole making Ashly to be a furies memma really. Meanwhile, Hala notes that it escaped while possessing Solgaleo. Back at the Pokémon School, Professor Kukui and Principal Oak wake up, filled with energy, and Vulpix is happy. At the Malasada Truck, Jessie and James wake up, energized; Meowth is happy they're back and they plan to get Lunala and "the mega rare thing".
At the Team Rocket Aircraft, Matori asks if they give up in a tired voice and Gozu says they should go to the beach and have Pineap juice. Their motivation returning, Matori claims that they will never give up, startling her Alolan Meowth, and the entire team agrees. Back at the beach, Lusamine and the team's helicopter lands. Lillie and Lana attempt to heal Lunala with a Full Restore and a Sitrus Berry. Wicke claims they need emergency transport, while Burnet adds they can take it to the Pokémon School. During treatment with the heavy machinery, Gladion asks his mom what that Ultra Beast was. Not knowing, Lusamine decides to call it UB: Black for the time being. Professor Kukui and Principal Oak come down and ask about the group's well-being. Amazed by Lunala in the treatment room, Kukui is described to be back to his old self. Lille then notices that her mom was fine too, for she claims that UB: Black's absorption over Solgaleo made everyone recover.
Burnet and Wicke then come out of the treatment room, saying that Lunala is fine and just needs to rest, which relieves the group. Ash tells Lusamine that the mural at the Altar of the Sunne had a picture of UB: Black. Lusamine believes that the Blinding One and UB: Black have a deep connection, so they need to decipher the characters on the mural quickly. Rotom asks Poipole why it drew the same image that was on the mural. Poipole answers by moving around and which no one could understand. Faba comes running out, showing the aircraft that attacked Solgaleo and Lunala was from Kanto's criminal organization, Team Rocket, causing Ashly's anger to rise even more as everyone can sense her powers as the room went cold. Run by their elite force, the Matori Matrix, Faba exclaims they need to take them into account when planning a strategy against UB: Black. Lusamine tells the kids to stay with Lunala while the adults, with Kukui and Principal Oak, leave.
As the dawn rises over the horizon at the Ruins of Conflict, Kahuna Hala notes that the Manalo Festival, where the moon covers the sun, has begun while Tapu Koko watches from behind a tree. On Akala Island, Olivia at the Ruins of Life notes that the emissary of the sun has been taken away and the emissary of the moon was robbed of it's powers. She asks what was going to happen in Alola while Tapu Lele floats by and watches. On Ula'Ula Island, near the Ruins of Abundance, Nanu asks the Blinding One to save the two emissaries to repay the favor since they have saved it once already. Acerola scolds Nanu for not praying properly, else the Blinding One will come to the rescue while Tapu Bulu watches from behind a pillar. Back at the school base, Ashly bids Nebula best wishes while Lillie notes that Lunala's body was warm like Solgaleo's and she could feel the power of the moon radiating.
Gladion notes that since Solgaleo saved mom and Nebula saved Lillie, it was his turn to save them. Ashly then says that they'll save Solgaleo with their full power and everyone pumps up their fists. Suddenly, the group's Z-Rings begin to glow, forming a huge circle of light that engulfs Lunala and restors it back to full power. Kiawe asks of everyone to move back as the glass shatters. Matori tells Gozu to check on the damage. Just as he is about to do that, Matori's Meowth points out that they were already fixed. The driver exclaims that it sure works fast. Matori questions what they could do now. Ashly was happy Nebula is safe, but Nebby is in danger and she doesn't know of Nebule making her to rage inside as she needs to know making her to go with her second back-up plan and she knows there is a good chance she might die, but she can't let her chibimons be hurt really making her to prepare herself as she needs to tell really everyone and fast before it's too late.
'I have no choose now and I have to make it be quick and might explain on the way making me to hate this really.' Ashly states that the Ultra Guardians rushed in to save Lunala from UB: Black; they succeeded, but Solgaleo – Nebby – was possessed and taken away through an Ultra Wormhole however, they restored Lunala's – Nebula's – strength with their Z-Power and promised to save Solgaleo. After waking up in a recovery room, Lunala attempts to break out; the adults arrive to see the calamity as Lillie sees that Lunala wants to help Solgaleo and the whole team decides to do the same to follow on their promise. Surprised, Lusamine doesn't want them to go into the world beyond the Ultra Wormhole with Lunala since it was dangerous, but Gladion reminds that they went through the portal and returned when they went to rescue her, but Burnet states that although that was true, they don't know which world the hole connects to, but after Lusamine seeing Lillie's determination, Lusamine allows them to go and the rest of the foundation tells pledge their support them. Enthusiastic, the heroes move out. Out in the school Courtyard, Team Rocket plan on taking the Lunala to the boss before Matori does to earn his respect.
Much to their shock, they then see the river opening up, with Lunala and the rest of the Ultra Guardians dispatch. This does not change their mind, as they go to pursue them. The Aether Foundation decide to go, too, in a helicopter. Before that, Kukui decides that he will go as well, for they have to still be alert that that Team Rocket might come back. Faba agrees and teams up with Kukui stating the president should stay to gather information and give orders. Faba declares himself as leader and has Kukui follow him which makes Burnet chuckle meanwhile, Lunala, whose wings have changed to light-blue color, opens up an Ultra Wormhole and goes in. The Ultra Guardians follow up behind it, and Lusamine orders them to return safely after rescuing Solgaleo. After the group heads through the portal Wicke reports that their connection was lost, but will attempt to contact them through audio signals.
Somewhere nearby, Team Rocket's aircraft approaches the Ultra Wormhole. Just as Matori gives orders to venture beyond, a Braviary crashes into the ship with Brave Bird, causing it to descend. Matori orders them to continue anyway, but due to the massive damage, Gozu has the aircraft landed and the fire put out. The crew shows a screen displaying Faba and Kukui, with their Pokémon, on a nearby mountain, who promise not to let the Matori Matrix get through the Ultra Wormhole. Matori frowns, and as the aircraft descends, Kukui has Braviary use Rock Slide and Faba has Alakazam use Shadow Ball and Hypno with Psychic to attack. This damages the aircraft and reveals it. To stop their enemies, Gozu goes to confront them. Beyond the Ultra Wormhole, Poipole dances in happiness as Gladion alerts Ashly that Lunala is going to leave them behind and Ash decides to pick up the pace.
At this moment, a purple blob is shot at the heroes out of a ravine, who narrowly evade the attack. Kiawe then has Charizard use Flamethrower to block the toxin. After the smoke clears, the group encounters a lot of Poipole which live in their nest. The Poipole attack, but the heroes dodge and Ashly tries to explain they only came to save Solgaleo. Ash's Poipole reasons with the other Poipole and while the Poipole talk among themselves, a purple winged beast walks over and alerts the heroes to it's presence, a creature that Rotom finds a record of it.
"Naganadel, the Poison/Dragon type Pokémon and the evolve form of Poipole. It stores hundreds of liters of poisonous liquid inside it's body. It is one of the organisms known as UB: Stringer. One kind of Ultra Beast, it fires a glowing, venomous liquid from it's needles. This liquid is also immensely adhesive." Naganadel is an Ultra Beast that has both draconic and insectoid features as it's upper body is slender with thin arms and a long neck. The upper chest, neck, head and arms are light purple while it's waist is dark purple with a fuchsia stripe on each side while each shoulder has a long gray spike and each hand has three pinkish purple claws. Running down each side of it's neck is a dark purple stripe which connect and form a loop on it's chest while the lower area of the loop is fuchsia and has a short, downward extension in the middle. At the end of it's long neck is it's head which has a long, spiked crest on the top.
On the sides of it's mouth are a pair of curved, gray spikes that act as mandibles. It's glowing cyan eyes are conjoined, rimmed with fuchsia and have a spiky crest on either side which gives them a visor-like appearance. A pair of light purple wings sprout from the center of it's back as these wings have a single fuchsia claw at the joint, two spikes along the wing-arm and darker purple membranes with fuchsia markings near the spikes. The lower half of Naganadel's body houses it's brain as it resembles a swollen wasp's abdomen and is filled with poisonous liquid. It is covered in stripes of light and dark purple and has three hollow stingers at the tip as the stingers are gray and have a fuchsia marking around them and the largest stinger is in the center; the other two are considerably smaller and sit on either side, but cause these stingers are connected to it's brain, so it will react violently if they are touched.
It's main stinger can eject a luminescent, adhesive poison over a distance greater than six miles. Ashly knows this Naganadel is able to communicate with humans through telepathy and show them visions of the past. Poipole flies over and happily dances in front of it and the heroes note that it looks similar to Poipole in shape and color. The big one collapse and as Ashly goes to help, but Gladion stops her for they'll lose track of Lunala. Ashly stubbornly refuses and goes to help it, so the rest of the guardians follow her as well. Back at the school base, Burnet attempts to decipher the mural. Lusamine goes to check on the process and believes that there has to be a connection between the Blinding One and UB: Black; Burnet responds that it might help them save Solgaleo. Kiawe, who is examining the purplish being, doesn't see anything wrong with the big beast, other than that it is tired which Mallow offers some Oran Berries, but it refuses, but with Poipole's help, it eats the berries and it's eyes widen.
"Thank you, the ones without stingers."
"Who was it? Who said that?" Ashly shakes her head and she calms Sophocles down as she looks to the big one and curtseys to it.
"You're welcome, Naganadel."
"Moon Priestess? As the oldest sibling than the middle child? What has happened to caused this to happened? Necrozma must have sensed it if his powers were coming back from the dancing and singing of the Moon, Sun and Eclipse siblings for ten weeks, light has returned and then vanished." The being said as he was shocked as Ashly flinched making everyone to see it, but ignored it for now.
"I think it's telepathy which is why we all can hear his voice really." Kiawe thinks as the being asks if they said they came to save Solgaleo. Kiawe explains that UB: Black possessed Solgaleo and fled to their world, but the best refers to UB: Black as Necrozma. It requests them to leave Necrozma alone since they need it's power which Ashly responds they'd have to abandon Solgaleo and Lillie demands a reason before the being shows what happened in their world: it shows a vision that the place was blossoming making the Ultra Guardians marvel at the greens and Mallow wonders if it was the world as it used to be as the being replies that it was the world filled with the light that Necrozma rained down on them. Ash then notices Necrozma, which looks just like the painting of the Blinding One, as Lillie deduces that is actually Necrozma.
The being shows a meteor was to fall on their land, but Necrozma suppressed it and with a large explosion, they see UB: Black, the black beast, and realize the latter and Necrozma are one and the same, which fell into the ravine as Rotom realizes that Necrozma, the Radiant One, has lost it's light in that collision as the being continues: Necrozma was wounded and entered a long slumber and in time, the plants withered and all the lands became were barren since they could no longer rely on the small amount of light they received, Ashly's Poipole then set out on it's own since the large beast is too old to go on its own. The beast notes that Poipole has seen Alola which is a bright beautiful land and just as they had given up on their world, a chance appeared: Solgaleo, Lunala and Tycrom appeared from an Ultra Wormhole - the being explains that Necrozma wanted to absorb their lights and revitalize themselves and snapped out of it's slumber.
Wondering what it meant by light, the Ultra Guardians believe it means Ultra Aura as Sophocles has a feeling the story feels familiar to which Lillie states it is the story of the Blinding One which she repeats to which Mallow asks the being if it wanted to revitalize Necrozma and have it restore the world. The being confirms, but the heroes see the predicament: either they let Solgaleo stay possessed and the world is revitalized or they split the two entities and let the world be without light. Suddenly, they hear a crash and head out to see Lunala who fell to the ground and Solgaleo, who is still possessed, emits lasers which damages Lunala and as it attempts to attack again, Gladion has Silvally use Air Slash. Solgaleo fires an attack, but Silvally jumps away as Gladion orders another Air Slash, but Ashly stops him as the latter responds if Necrozma continues attacking, it would lead to losing both Solgaleo, Lunala and Tycrom and the darkness would eventually fall over Alola.
While Lunala flees from Solgaleo, Ashly explains she would not let that happen, but since that would mean no hope for Poipole's world, she wants to save everything. Gladion is held aback, but the rest of the team voice Ashly's opinion. Gladion than asks what they would do; Ashly says that since Necrozma wants Ultra Aura since it's trying to possess both of the emissaries and is basically starving. Remembering the class gave Sophocles the food when he had nothing, Ashly and the rest of the class see they have to share their power with Necrozma as per tradition of Manalo Festival in Alola. Rotom mentions that Burnet stated that Z-Power is intricately linked to Ultra Aura. Gladion steps down and agrees with the plan to share their Z-Power with Necrozma, so it can release Solgaleo. Back in Alola, the Matori Matrix came down their aircraft to deal with Faba and Kukui. While Kukui and Faba repeat they won't let them pass, Gozu claims they underestimate Team Rocket.
He decides to deal with them himself: he sends Aggron and shows a Mega Stone on his dogtag to Mega evolve it. With one Heavy Slam, Mega Aggron knocks down Braviary, Alakazam, and Hypno. Jessie, James, and Meowth observe the battle from their balloon. Jessie notes that they were sloppy, while James wonders what they will do about the thing that possessed Solgaleo. Jessie proposes going through the Ultra Wormhole, but since that is too risky for them, she proposes an attack as soon as the group returns. Back at the School Base, Burnet managed to decipher the words. She explains to Lusamine that UB: Black is the Blinding One, who lost its light. She reads when the Blinding One was depleted of light and consumed by darkness, that darkness would spread across Alola. The people thought to share the light that had been shared with them back to the Blinding One. The emissaries of the sun and moon appeared and the people offered their prayers together with the Pokémon and the prayers reached the Radiant One.
The latter regained it's light and Alola became beautiful once more as Lusamine sees there was a meaning hidden in the legend her father told her and Burnet agrees for humans and Pokémon shared their energies, too and decides that they need to get the info to Ashly and the others. Back on Poipole's world, the Ultra Guardians watch Necrozma and Lunala fight each other as Gladion tells Lunala to get away from Necrozma, the Ultra Guardians stand ground, but Ashly notices that Gladion did not send Lycanroc. Gladion states he won't be the same as he was and notes Ashly has matured a bit which Ashly understands and with Gladion, Lana and Kiawe, presses her Z-Ring to pass the Z-Power onto their Pokémon, to share it with Necrozma through Z-Moves: Gigavolt Havoc, Infero Overdrive, Hydro Vortex and Breakneck Blitz meanwhile Burnet was tired after the work she did as Clefable gives her some coffee which Burnet appreciates as she then thanks Clefable and high-fives it, tasting the coffee as Granbull Mountain.
'I think it's best to tell them all now and get it over with really as I can't keep it in anymore.' Ashly thinks as she allows her tears to fall down her face and hitting the ground making it to glow bright and spreads through the world they are in shocking everyone and the Pokémon there really.
