A awoke with a jolt- an electric pulse flying through the air. I think it must have been a shock to whoever was around because it was powerful enough to make my back buck. My eyes fluttered open, looking at the grated grey ceiling. Whatever I had binding my wrists together stopped working after the electric shock, falling off me without my realizing they were there. They landed on the ground with a clank. After blinking a few times, I winced my eyes shut to do a stretch. Nugh, it felt like I'd been asleep for ages. Hey, wait- that's right! I've been out of my body this whole time. My eyes reopened to gaze up at the palm of my hand, which was hovering over my face now. Grinning, I wiggled my fingers a bit, recollecting the sensation of actually have a physical existence. It felt good, to be wholly reunited once again.

That glee didn't last too long, however, as a sudden noise made me look over. There stood a very surprised and alarmed Moff Gideon right near me. He had the weird black lightsaber in his hand. "Y-You're awake?!" He gasped, sounding winded. Not paying attention to him my head continued to turn. My eyes lit up like the sun the second I saw Mando also standing in the cell. Mando! I sat up on my side slightly, blindsided to see him. Blindsided… and ecstatic. Heck, I was overjoyed at the sight of my husband! I don't know how long it'd been for him but it'd been months since we parted for me. Judging by his body language, he was just as surprised as Moff Gideon to see animated once more.

I sat up more on my metal bench. "Mando!" The most joyous expression washed across my face. This instantly evaporated as the loser next to me lowered his lightsaber down closer. "Stay back!" He barked at Mando. My husband's hand rose up in the air. "Don't hurt her," his tone was beyond desperate. "Oh, I'm not going to hurt her. But I might as well- I've already got what I want from her. Her blood." My blood?! Did he just say "my blood"? I glared over to the creep in utter disgust. So, while I was out unconscious, spending all my time training and visiting with Luke, he was here, using me as his personal blood bank? Ew! No! No, no, no! I never consented to that! God, no wonder the Force sent my spirit so far away; it would have been torture being awake for that!

The freak went on. "All I wanted was to study her blood. This woman is extremely gifted and has been blessed with rare properties that have the potential to bring order back to the galaxy." "Yeah, by serving the light side, you jerk!" I hollered, shooting Gideon the most spiteful, fowl glare I could muster. Both he and Mando blinked back to me in surprise at this, but I wouldn't let that stop me. My eyes narrowed dangerously onto him. "You think you can corrupt me or use my blood to serve the dark side. Well I have news for you: I am the light side! So long as I'm alive, the light side will prosper; it's not the balance you want, but it's the balance the galaxy needs right now. I was born for this, and nothing you do can change that."

Oh, if looks could kill I swear Gideon would have ended me right there and then. I hadn't seen someone look at me with that much hatred in a long time. His lips curled in a defiant sneer; his fingers twitched in rage. "You shouldn't be so confident. Those in service to the dark side will never stop hunting you. You represent all that is wrong with the universe presently. There's no question about it. Your death will be brought by the hands of those who seek a new balance, and when that day comes…. The Empire will finally rise again."

The second after he proclaimed this, Gideon raised the lightsaber above my head. His plan to execute me was thwarted by Mando side tackling him, sending both men steam-crashing into the wall. "Run!" The Mandalorian yelled my way before they broke out into a fight; Mando using his beskar spear thingy and Gideon his lightsaber. Doing as I was told, I dashed out of the cell and hid close by behind a corner. The clashes of their blades echoed endlessly down the halls.

Eventually it grew quiet, though I did not know who won the battle. I waited anxiously for someone to speak, holding my breath when it was Moff Gideon. "You're sparing my life. Now this should be interesting," he said lowly. My head peered around the bend to see Mando standing there, holding the spear to Gideon's neck, who was currently laying on his back on the floor. Mando took a deep audible breath. "I'm not doing it for you," was all he uttered. Then his helmet lifted in my direction. There were tears streaming down my cheeks by now as I simply ogled my husband. Mando, my husband…. This beloved man I missed so, so much.

Gideon watched me run up to him with arms spread wide. I threw them around Mando's neck, to which he wrapped one arm around my waist. I don't think he's ever held me closer. It wasn't the ideal reunion I had pictured, considering that this creep was there observing it all, but at present I could have cared less. I just clung onto Mando, pressing myself up against him as near possible. The sensation of his helmet rubbing up against the side of my head and neck made me shiver. He's here, I remembered to breathe…. He's here; he's really here. I know it's only been like three months but still, I couldn't get over the fact he was in my arms. Finally, after all this time… It was then that I truly understood for the first time just how much I missed him. I craved him; I utterly desired his presence….

I missed him in ways that not even words can understand.
