After a bit of walking, they had made it outside to where the large garden was. Vetiver looked around as the wind blew her dress a bit. Despite Jupiter's fit earlier, everything seemed to be intact. The damages were very mild and easily fixable. Vetiver nodded before turning back to the boy.

She looked him up and down before sighing. "You won't burn anything, right?" She raised an eyebrow.

Kirby scratched the side of his head. "I won't try?" He said with a small shrug of sorts.

Vetiver looked at him with halved eyes. "Just watch me. Don't touch anything unless you ask first. Got it?" She said, looking herself over.

Kirby nodded with a nervous expression. "Got it…" He said as he kicked a pebble away and looked around.

Vetiver nodded at him. She took a moment to look at herself again before snapping her fingers and changing into an outfit that is more appropriate for the task. Her garden outfit included a green t-shirt with an image of a grey cat taping a fourth leaf on a three leaf clover. There were four other things. A pair of blue ripped jeans with a variety of butterflies on them. A bit higher, on her waist, was a renaissance styled orange and maroon utility belt. Feathers dangled from it; white, red, and maroon. Also, she wore a 24 karat golden headband decorated with small roses. Finally, she wore a pair of cocoa brown ankle boots with gold buckles.

She smiled before motioning the boy to follow her. "First stop are the vine plants." She said as she took the lead. "You said you wanted to talk. What...did you want to talk about?" Her purple gaze turned to him.

"I...don't really know. Heidi just told me to...and I'm not much of a talker as of late." Kirby said, the boy shyly looking away as he frowned.

Vetiver nodded at him. "I'm not too good with small talk. Especially with other kids." Her eyebrows furrowed. "...Do...you have anything you like to do?" She turned her gaze forward before cringing at her question.

"Heidi's younger brother introduced me to gaming...but it got boring after awhile since every game somehow managed to scare him…" Kirby said, fiddling with his fingers. "Besides him...there's nobody else to play with so I don't really do it anymore…"

Vetiver tilted her head. "Gaming, huh? What kind of games do you play?" She asked in mild interest.

"Any game...Nothing too specific since I like almost all games we have in the castle…" Kirby trailed off while shrugging a bit.

She blinked at that before shrugging. "I play some games these days. I don't really have many people to hang out with, so I hang out with people online." She smirked as she shrugged. "I usually use my nintendo." She made it appear in her hand.

Kirby tilted his head at the sight of the nintendo. "I'd say I'd do the same...if Hades hadn't used his username on all of the devices and made it impossible for us to do anything…" He said with an awkward laugh. "And uh...I didn't bring any gaming stuff with me…"

Vetiver raised her eyebrow. "But...doesn't Heidi like...make money literally appear out of thin air?" She tilted her head. "If I were you, I'd take full advantage of that." She placed her hands on her hips.

Kirby nodded a bit at that. "That's true...but how would I convince her? It's not like I'm Audrey who can get whatever she wants...Heidi is a bit more iffy when it comes to me. Something about me being a dog and how I don't need that stuff…" He said with a shake of his head.

Vetiver looked up in thought before she smirked. "Well…" She went over to him. "Maybe...if you get Audrey to vouch for you? You both give Heidi the puppy eyes. I mean, you are a puppy. How hard could it be?" She tilted her head.

Kirby smiled a bit at that as he rubbed at his leather jacket. "I...Maybe I can do it." He looked up at her as he fiddled with the zipper on the jacket. "Do you think...you can maybe come with me? Just in case Heidi shuts me down...She is used to me and my puppy eyes." He said with a small head tilt before looking away.

She raised an eyebrow. "You want me to help you persuade one of the most hard headed people I know?" She thought before chuckling. "Sounds like a fun challenge. I'm in." She said before bringing her attention to the tomatoes and strawberries.

Kirby nodded at that. "If she does agree...Would you like to come with us? I'm...a bit of a newbie when it comes to gaming systems…" He looked away at something else as he shoved his hands in his pockets. "You don't have to if you are too busy." He said rather quickly as he went back to rubbing at his jacket.

Vetiver glanced at him before pulling a tape measure out of her belt pocket. She pulled the tape, measuring a growing tomato. "Uhh…" She looked at the boy's shy exterior. "...Sure. I haven't gone anywhere for a couple weeks anyway. I could use a change in scenery." She said, putting the tape measure away and pulling out a notebook.

The red-haired boy looked at her. "This is my first time out of the Underworld in awhile...that and I've never been here." He said as he looked up at the sky. "I wonder if Heidi would buy a few other things for me…" He said mainly to himself before looking back down at her. "She might also buy you anything...if you ask nicely. She has a hard time refusing stares from pink-haired girls...especially ones that are Audrey or look like Audrey." He gestured to her before looking elsewhere.

Vetiver tilted her head before grinning. "I'm technically Audrey's kid, so I'm a shoe in." She giggled. She glanced at him before motioning him to the next section she had to check. She pulled out a pen before scribbling some things down.

Kirby blinked at that. "I didn't know that Audrey already had a kid." He tilted his head in mild confusion while looking her over.

Vetiver looked at him while walking backwards. "Well...you remember when I was created, right?" She tilted her head.

"Uh...yeah?" He said, seeming still heavily confused with the idea of her being Audrey's kid.

She nodded at that. "My dad told us that apparently, something like a hair...or two...who knows could have gotten in the mix of the spell used to create me. Audrey's DNA?" She explained. "It was something like that. We know that for sure. Usually when gods create other beings it drains their magic. My dad is perfectly fine." She said, turning back around.

Kirby tilted his head the other way. "I'm...still confused...so I'm just going to say that it's god stuff that's beyond my level of knowledge…" He said with a shake of his head. "But...it does explain why you look like Audrey but you aren't Heidi's."

Vetiver nodded with a smile. "Yeah. The other half of my genes come from elsewhere. Hence, the color changing eyes." She said, causing her eyes to change colors on command. "Don't worry. I won't hypnotize you with them, but they can do that." She explained with a smirk.

Kirby rapidly shook his head at that. "Hecate hypnotized me enough…" He said while tearing his eyes away from hers and blinking a few times. "I'm good."

She laughed a bit at that. "I'll keep that in mind. No hypnotizing the puppy." She urged her eyes to settle as she took down more notes. "Hmm...there's a branch that needs to be repaired." She turned her head upward. "Do you mind if I fix that really quick? She tilted her head.

"It's fine...You remind me of Persephone a bit. Too bad she didn't go forward with teaching me some of her magic...otherwise I could help out a bit." Kirby said with a small shy smile while glancing at her.

Vetiver turned to him with a smile before scurrying up the tree. She easily climbed the tree before saying, "You can still help me. Just not with this job." She hopped to the next branch. "I have something else in mind." She said, now that she could wave her magic onto the injured branch.

The boy looked up at her in slight surprise. "Really? How could I help? Nature and I are...not good friends of you remember my abilities…" He said, trailing off a bit at the memory of him lighting himself on fire in the middle of a forest.

The large tree leaned closer to the ground in thanks. It allowed the girl to step off before returning to its original stance. Vetiver nodded at the tree. "Oh. You'll see. It's our next stop, actually." She smiled at him.

Kirby nodded at that. "Well...If you think I can help...I can try." He told her with a small smile.

The girl grinned at that before putting her notebook in one of her larger pockets. "That's the spirit. C'mon. It's this way." She said, leading him deeper and deeper into the garden. "We're going into the heavily flowered areas. I hope you don't have allergies because this is a pollen zone at this time of year."

The red-haired boy shook his head at that. "No...I'm fine. The bees don't bother me either...since apparently I'm an almost universal predator to some species." He said blandly, watching as a butterfly flew in the opposite direction of him.

Vetiver nodded at that before smirking. "I'm glad you said that because that is our stop." She said, pointing at an absolutely huge bee colony nested all a large grey stone. The nest itself had a golden color to it and it dripped with an even deeper golden ooze.

Kirby looked at as he kept his distance. "That is...big. For a colony that is…" He said before adding on the second part with a head tilt.

Vetiver nodded happily. "My dad gathered them here. For a garden this large to stay pollinated, you need an army of bees." She smiled at all of the bees. "Personally, I love bees. They are my absolute favorite bug." She said with a smile as they worked.

"Persephone also has a lot of bees...though she keeps them away because they get scared at the sight of us hellhounds…" Kirby explained with the smallest of frowns.

Vetiver tilted her head at that. "So...they all just...run away from you?" She blinked.

Kirby nodded. "Heidi said...something about how most kids born from Cerberus emit...what was that word?" He rubbed his chin in thought before blinking. "Pheromones! Fear-inducing ones that make almost all animals see us as their natural predator...or something just as bad as the predator." He finished with a small shake of his head. "We can't control it."

Vetiver took in that information. She smiled at him. "Don't worry. I'll handle the bees. You stay back here until I come back. I still have that job reserved for ya." She said as her smile increased.

"Okay...I'll just sit down for now…" Kirby said as he offered her back a small smile before sitting down on the ground.

Vetiver nodded at that. She looked toward the active colony before making her way over. As soon as she was within range, she was covered in bees from head to toe. Her eyes halved in exasperation before she raised her arms. Some of the bees hovered at that.

"Guys. What have I told you about taking turns with the bumble hugs?" She asked the insects, who seemed to almost shrug. "You all go back to work while I observe and report." She said with a giggle.

At that, the remaining bees flew off of her and got back to business. She took notes as they pollinated flowers. Vetiver made sure to write down what type of flowers they were pollinating, the size of the colony nest, and the nursery size. She had also taken note on how much ooze was dripping from the nest.

After she gathered all of this information, she nodded before heading back to the boy. "Alrighty. I've done that. Now...it's your turn." She said with a smile.

Kirby hopped up and tilted his head at her. "Okay...I still don't see how I'll be able to help but…" He trailed off at that and subtly gestured for her to go on as he averted his eyes.

Vetiver nodded at that with a cool smile. "I am also glad you asked that!" She turned to the colony. "The colony is super nice and all, but they get testy when you go near the honey supply. Since you can scare the bees away…" She trailed off.

Kirby caught on to what she was saying and looked at the colony. "So...you just want me to walk over there?" He asked, turning his body to face it.

Vetiver nodded with a smile. "Walk over there and scare them away! Just bee yourself." She chuckled at her word play. "Do that and we can split a honeycomb." She smiled wider.

Kirby slowly nodded while his eyes halved at the pun before he walked over to the colony. With a blank face he promptly sat down, sending all of the bees into a panic as they then flew far away from him. "...There you go." He said while glancing back at her.

Vetiver laughed at that while skipping over. "Too easy!" She looked down at the boy and roughed his hair up a bit. "Thanks, Kirby! Hold on while I figure out the combs that store the honey." She said, making her way over to the forbidden area of the nest.

Kirby patted down his hair with a small smile. "Not a problem...take your time." He told her with a soft laugh as he noticed a nearby squirrel practically squeal before darting in the other direction.

Vetiver carefully looked over the combs to see which was which. "Pollen. Pollen. Pollen. Larvae. Pollen. Ah...there we go!" She said, tracing her finger over a waxy comb dripping with golden honey.

She rubbed her hands together and grabbed the panel shaped comb. "Come on..!" She tried to pull it from the rock. "This thing is huge...and on here pretty good." She said before wiggling and twisting.

After a few crackling sounds, part of the panel was ripped off. Vetiver grinned before ripping off the other. "Got it!" She said, walking back over to him with the two pieces. "Do you want...this piece or this piece?" She tilted her head.

Kirby shrugged. "I'm good with either...I haven't exactly...had one before…" He said while looking away. "As I said...Persephone hides her bees since we scare them away."

Vetiver blinked. "So...you've never tasted honey before?" She asked while her head tilted the other way.

"I usually eat meat...and more meat...and basically that's it. Heidi doesn't give me much else since she gives me the same stuff she gives Cerberus...and you can probably guess what that is…" Kirby said with a small shake of his head.

Vetiver nodded at that before noticing the honey starting to drop on her hand. She held out a large piece for him. "I don't eat too much meat. Although, I love seafood." She sat down beside him. "I usually eat cooked dishes, fruits, and vegetables. Nuts are good too." She said as she removed the top layer of wax from her piece, revealing all of the shining honey within the hexagonal compartments.

Kirby tilted his head at that. "I'd really...enjoy the thought of trying other types of food...Especially since Heidi isn't hanging around all over me." As he spoke, he sniffed the air with a small frown before shaking it off.

Vetiver took the liberty to remove his wax layer for him. Now that his comb was ready to eat, she said, "Really? I have a friend. She is a chef. I don't think she'd mind making extra for lunch." She said, before biting into the comb and smiling at the sweetness.

Mimicking what Vetiver did, Kirby smiled a bit at the taste. "Cool...Maybe we could or at least I could try out a few things...after we try and convince Heidi that is." He said as he went back for another bite.

Vetiver looked at Kirby with halved eyes before smiling. "Sure. After we convince Heidi, we can go for lunch." She bit it again and licked her fingers afterward.

Kirby offered her a smile as he continued to eat the comb. "That would be nice…" He said, returning his golden eyes to the comb so he could finish up.

Vetiver, who had admittedly eaten like a pig, finished her honeycomb up with a smile. "I really have to talk to someone about my sugar addiction." She thought with a chuckle.

"It's probably better than a meat addiction…" Kirby said with a chuckle.

She returned his chuckle before standing. "Probably is." She shrugged. "Well, that's all of the garden adventures I've got for today. I will come back tomorrow and handle the pond zone." She looked at him with a small smile. "If I were to do the whole garden in one day...it would take me about six hours…" She shook her head.

"Sounds pretty accurate...at least that's what I've observed from Persephone and her garden," Kirby said thoughtfully as he stood up as well.

Vetiver nodded at that. "Persephone sounds pretty cool." She said as she started to lead the way back.

"She is...Not to mention she's nice and...a complete opposite of Hades. While he explodes into a ball of rage every ten minutes...she would be offering any visitors, aside from us dogs, cookies." Kirby explained with a small smile.

Vetiver smiled at that. "Now I know that she's cool." She said before thinking. She lowered her voice. "Are you ready to start convincing?"

"Um...yeah," Kirby said in a somewhat nervous manner.

Vetiver offered him a warm smile. She put her hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry about it. All you have to do is look as pitiful as possible, get Audrey on our side, then celebrate." She said confidently.

Kirby smiled back at that. "As long as you help me out a bit…" He said with a slight head tilt as he rubbed his jacket sleeve. "Then perhaps we could get Heidi to do it…" He finished with a slightly wider smile.

Vetiver nodded at his response. "That response is much better than before. I'll give you an eight out of ten!" She said with a chuckle while she took a shortcut.

"Thanks…" Kirby said with a small laugh before shaking his head. "I know I wouldn't be able to get Heidi to do anything on my own...she's stubborn…" He told her with a head tilt.

She laughed at that. "Don't worry about it. You helped fill a sweet craving. This is the least I can do." She smiled as she laced her fingers together.

"That was nothing...most animals just hate me so…" He trailed off with a small smile.

"Ages...I've been trying to get that honey for ages." She told him with a smile. "That was the opposite of nothing." She tilted her head when she saw the familiar room coming up.

"But all I did was sit down, I didn't really do anything," Kirby said with a head tilt and looked at her.

Vetiver smirked at him. "And that nothing was something that I couldn't do. That's why I wanted your help. Besides, that sounds like the best gig ever! Doing nothing but still getting fifty-fifty of the dough." She chuckled.

"I guess it can have its perks," Kirby admitted with a smile and a small shrug.

She nodded as they entered the room. "Now you're getting it." She smiled at him brightly.

Kirby nodded at that as he saw Heidi chilling out on a sofa and Audrey staring at the two of them. "So...how are we approaching this again?" He asked quietly while leaning over to her so that only she would hear.

Vetiver blinked before whispering, matching his tone. "Who are you going for first? Audrey or Heidi? I can work my magic either way." She said, keeping her smile to lower suspension.

"I...have no idea. What do you think?" Kirby asked with a look of heavy confusion that switched to a neutral one once he glanced at Audrey.

Vetiver nodded before glancing at Heidi and Audrey. "I think you'd have a better turn out if you focus on Heidi, but include both of them." She nodded at her thoughts. "Walk up, ask to talk to both of them, bring up the game, hear both of their opinions...then I come in." She continued to smile.

Kirby fiddled with his fingers. "After all of that?" He asked in a nervous manner. "...Any chance you could come in sooner or...or just help from the beginning?" He asked shyly while looking away to see both women glancing at them.

Vetiver nodded. "I'll be backing you the whole time. At one point, I'll take over since Heidi is super stubborn and will need an extra push from a mini Audrey." She smirked. "Would you like for me to bring it up?"

Kirby nodded with what appeared to be relief. "Please?" He asked quietly, trying to calm down a bit.

Vetiver kept her smirk and winked at him before walking deeper into the room. "Hello! We're back from our time in the garden. It was surprisingly fun." She said with a smile.

Audrey looked back at them with a smile. "Was it? I'm glad...So, what are you guys going to be doing now?" She asked with a curious head tilt.

Vetiver hopped up on the bed with a sigh. "...Ah...yes. What am I going to do now? I don't have many friends. So...maybe I'll drown my loneliness away with my beloved Nintendo Switch." She said as her smile fell. "Unfortunately, It's not enough. Not without someone to play with!" She said dramatically with a deep frown.

While Audrey frowned at that and rubbed her chin, Heidi looked at her with halved eyes. "What are you up to? Don't you have friends online or something?" She asked before noticing Kirby and turning her attention onto him. "And why are you still in that form?" She raised an eyebrow at the nervous boy.

"I...like it?" Kirby said in a questioning manner. "I-Is it a problem or…"

Audrey shook her head and shot Heidi a look before smiling warmly at the boy. "No, it isn't a problem, Kirby." She said before looking at Vetiver. "What can be done to help you, sweetie?" She asked with a smile.

Vetiver sniffed as she opened her glassy eyes. "You mean...to calm my lonely spirit?" She asked with a small smile.

The pinkette brought her close while Heidi facepalmed. "Yes. What do you need?" She asked while smiling down at her.

Vetiver's smile increased at that before leaning on her mother. "Well...only if you want to...I would love it if you guys could help me get Kirby a Switch too. He's my only friend that I can high five when we win a game…" She said, making a sad face at the last part.

Audrey nodded and pulled up an image of the device on her phone before showing it to her. "Is this what you want us to get for him?" She asked with a small head tilt.

Vetiver nodded and dried her face. "Yes...that would be perfect." She said with a large smile.

Heidi's eyes halved. "Wait...So you want to get the dog a gaming system? The dog?" She looked at Audrey who blinked innocently. "Just because he looks like a kid doesn't mean he's not a dog."

"But he does look like a kid...and I bet it would make both of them happy." Audrey said with a smile.

The bluenette facepalmed at that. "A dog doesn't need a gaming system!" She said with a huff while Audrey rolled her eyes at the comment.

Vetiver got up before making her way over to Heidi. "Please? For physical friends, he's all I've got. I just want someone to play with...please?" She asked, giving Heidi her best set of puppy eyes while said eyes turned a shade of pleading pink.

Heidi's eyebrow twitched at that. "Ugh…" She groaned before folding her arms. "And how do you know that Kirby over there won't have another phase and decide that he wants to be a dog again?" She said, pointing at the boy who held up his hands in innocence.

Vetiver nodded. "I'll...enjoy the moment while I can if that is the case. I'll never know if I never try. I ask you for the opportunity. Please, Heidi? Step-father?" She begged with a smile.

Heidi twitched again at the title. "What's with the name thing?" She asked, her eyes flickering around with a small frown on her face.

Vetiver innocently tilted her head. "I'm Audrey's and you are married to Audrey so...you are my step-father." She said simply, keeping her puppy eyes expression.

"That is...please don't use that title…" Heidi said while shaking her head.

Vetiver thought for a moment. "If I stop calling you that, will you get the game?" She tilted her head. "Father?" She said, purposely removing 'step' from the title.

While Audrey was giggling from her spot on the bed, Heidi had begun twitching even more. "Hah...eh...Not a chance. I've lasted through far worse without giving in." She said stubbornly while folding her arms.

Vetiver looked away with a smirk before turning back to Heidi with her innocent expression. "Alright, then, dada. I'm going to be bored so...I guess I'll be up under you all day, daddy. We'll spend so much time together, father! I'll give you allllll the looooove!" She hopped up and hugged Heidi.

Heidi practically pried the girl off and held her away from her. "For the love of gods would you stop?!" She asked with a wildly twitching eyebrow as she was clearly fighting a smile for some reason.

Vetiver chuckled and said, "I wuuuve youuu! I wuve, wuve, wuve, youuuu!" She practically latched herself onto Heidi by now. She gave Heidi a kiss on the head before snuggling back into the hug.

As Audrey 'awwd' at the scene, Heidi finally couldn't fight her smile and let out a groan. "FINE! I'll get the dog whatever he needs!" She said with a huff as she tried to hide her smile.

Vetiver grinned at that. She gave Heidi one last squeeze before hopping off of the couch. "Thank you, Heidi." She laced her fingers behind her back.

"Yeah, yeah...just lay off the names," Heidi replied with a shake of her head.

Vetiver folded her arms as she released a breath. "Sure. No need to worry." She walked back over to Kirby triumphantly as she allowed her eyes to change back to purple.

"That went...well." Kirby said as he noticed Heidi flash into her 'Hades' outfit and stand up.

Vetiver glanced at him with her usual smirk. "What can I say? I have talent." She said as she watched the woman. "On the bright side, it's celebration time!" She said with a smile.

Kirby smiled at her. "Yeah...oh and about what she said...I'm not sure if I'd revert to my dog form. I uh...had no friends in that form yet I have one in this form." He said with a small chuckle.

Vetiver looked at him for a moment. "...Are you sure?" She asked in uncertainty.

"Yeah...I told you, I have no friends as the three-headed mutt...mainly because everyone thinks I'm weird…" Kirby said with a small sigh.

Vetiver nodded at that. "...If it means anything, I didn't think you were weird. Who was I to judge? I'm different now, but, back then I had dirt for paws and wheat for whiskers." She smiled with a chuckle.

"It's just...why would I want to be found as...ugly or disgusting as a dog...when nobody could comment about anything if I were a human." Kirby shook his head. "For once I don't get weird looks." He said with a second sigh.

Vetiver frowned at that. "It's not all bad, but if it makes you feel better you can stay a human around here. I'm sure no one will mind. You could even have your own room." She glanced at him. "...And you weren't disgusting or ugly to me." She said, looking away.

Kirby smiled at that as his ears turned a bit red. "Heh...thanks." He said before shaking it off. "Wait...does that mean I get a real room...not a dog room?" He asked with raised eyebrows.

Vetiver chuckled at that. "Yeah. A real person room. A real person bed. A TV. A bathroom. The whole nine yards. You will be spoiled here. Princess' orders." She said with a smirk as she tilted her head up.

"...Wow," Kirby said with amazement in his eyes.

Vetiver nodded at his response as she giggled at his expression. "How about we pick out your room after we get your gaming gear?"

"Yeah...sure, let's do it then," Kirby said with a smile before noticing Heidi walking over to them.

Heidi folded her arms. "Okay...You know where a place is where we can pick up everything he'll need?" She asked Vetiver with an exasperated look on her face.

The girl nodded with a smile. "Of course! You know your way around, right?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah...relatively speaking. Unless you guys moved things around here, you didn't do that, right?" Heidi asked with a raised eyebrow.

Vetiver waved that out of the way. "Of course not! We just got rid of the old stuff and built new stuff on top of it." She said casually.

"That still makes me a bit suspicious you know." Heidi deadpanned before looking at Audrey. "You want to come along?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

Audrey rubbed her chin before shrugging. "Sure, why not?" She said before getting up and joining them.

Vetiver shrugged. "No worries. I know where it is. I can teleport too! Just tap me on the head or hold my hand or something." She said with a smile.

While Kirby went to hold her hand, Heidi lazily picked them both up and gestured for Audrey to hold onto her shoulder. "Okay, you can go now." She said with a casual look on her face.

Vetiver gave a thumbs up before teleporting them into a very large and well-populated building. "And just like that, we're here." She said happily.

Heidi deposited both kids and stretched. "Lead the way and...grab whatever you want." She said, clearly given up at this point before she looked at Audrey. "You wanna come with me while I get their stuff? I know there may be a few shops around here…" She trailed off as she looked around.

Audrey shrugged and smiled. "No, I'm good. I have enough stuff back at the castle, remember?" She said, prompting Heidi to blink before slowly nodding.

Vetiver smiled as she walked into the game store right beside them. "Just in case you guys don't know, this is The Porta Di Roma. A huge shopping mall. Also known as Pinky's palace." She chuckled. "Yeah. This baby has three stories. We lose Pinky here nearly every week." She said, looking at a few things that caught her eye.

While Kirby wandered around the game store, Audrey was busy looking at a bunch of stuffed animals while Heidi kept a rather large bag open for the pinkette to inevitably put them in. "Yeah well…" Heidi began as she looked at Audrey. "You'd also lose Audrey in here if she didn't have everything she 'needed' back at the castle." She commented, watching as Audrey happily started dumping whatever she wanted into the bag.

Vetiver blinked at that before shrugging. "Eh...if you can't beat 'em…" She mumbled before following her mother's example and throwing anything she thought she needed into the bag.

Heidi shook her head at them as she saw the store worker looking at them with wide eyes. "This is normal...And yes I have the money." She said, already expecting the question before looking away as she noticed Audrey successfully clear out the stuffed animal section and begin looking through the accessories such as mini backpacks and whatnot.

Kirby, who had stopped wandering, looked around before noticing the frenzy on the other side of the store. The boy cracked a smile at that before tilting his head. "Hey Vetiver?" He called out, hoping to get the girl's attention.

Vetiver stopped mid-stride when he called her. She was holding five items. They were a large creeper plushie, cat ear gaming headphones, a Yoshi baseball cap, and two video games. "Uhh...yeah?" She smiled at him.

Kirby laughed at the sight of everything in her arms while Heidi gestured for the girl to put them in the bag. "Well...I think I found the section of Switches." He said with a smile.

The girl blinked at him before smiling. "I did promise to help, didn't I?" She asked shyly. She put everything she had in the bag before making her way over to Kirby. "So, what's up?"

Kirby scratched the side of his head. "Well...I'm not sure what I should get. There's just so...much." He said with a gesture to the wall of games.

Vetiver nodded before looking over a few things. "First things first, you need a console. Pick out one you like. Regular or...special addition…" She said with a sigh and smile.

Kirby tilted his head before grabbing the special addition one. "Well...If it's special that must mean I should get it." He said with a smile before looking at her. "Next?"

Vetiver smiled back at him. "Next is the matter of storage. You will need a micro sd card to store your game data. I recommend the highest capacity they have in this place." She told him.

Kirby nodded at that. "So...Oh." He began before noticing what he needed and looked for the biggest number before grabbing it. "Does this work?"

Vetiver nodded at it before tapping her chin. "Now. This is a matter of preference. You could either buy all of your games as game cards or but then digitally by download." She explained. "If it were me, I'd buy a few by game card, then download the rest. The cards will keep you occupied while you wait for all of those games, and you won't be juggling cards every time you want to play a different game." She laced her fingers together.

Heidi, who had managed to drag Audrey over, stared at all the games. "You know what? Audrey has decided to be on a...uh, gaming bug. She is…" She paused as she heard Audrey squeal over a pink and red switch along with a black and blue one. "...Becoming obsessed. So...we are just getting three of...everything." She said with a deep sigh as Audrey cheered.

Vetiver shook her head. "Or you could let Heidi and Audrey clear the rows for you." She told him with a chuckle.

Kirby blinked in surprise while Heidi looked at Vetiver. "You want any of these games?" She asked with a raised eyebrow as Audrey started picking out accessories for the switches.

Vetiver looked the games over. "I'll pick the ones that I don't have." She said as she began to look them over. "Ooooh. Let's Go Pikachu...or do I want Let's Go Eevee?" She said with a frown.

"You could get both." Heidi deadpanned as she used her magic to start getting three of every game while Audrey shoved two pairs of headphones in the bag.

"Even better!" She said, carelessly tossing both games behind her, knowing they'd fall into the large bag.

After she picked out everything she wanted, she turned to Kirby. "A penny for your thoughts?" She smiled.

Kirby shook his head. "I'm just wondering...how long it will take to get all of that scanned." He said with a small smile.

Vetiver chuckled at that. "A while and I'm too young to waste my life waiting for that! I'm going to go walk a bit." She said, glancing at the exit.

Kirby shrugged. "I was going to look at a few more things...then maybe join you. Just wanna see if there is anything else interesting here." He told her with a smile.

Vetiver looked at him before looking passed him at the two women. "They seem occupied. Sure. Why not?" She said, motioning him to follow her.

Heidi looked at the boy. "I'll be sure to get you a few things, headphones, accessories, whatever Audrey wants…" She said the last part with a small sigh as Audrey ran over to something else.

Kirby blinked before smiling. "Just...um, get me whatever you think I need for gaming." He told the older bluenette as he began to follow after Vetiver.

"Oh, I know. Behave and we might even stop by the Apple Store!" Heidi called out before smiling and shaking her head.

Vetiver led the boy out of the store before looking around the bustling mall. "Have you ever been in a mall before?" She asked, glancing at him.

"I don't think so…" Kirby said with a small frown as he looked up in thought.

Vetiver looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Another penny for your thoughts?" She smiled as she walked by a dessert stand.

"Just thinking...I haven't been to many places since...Three-headed dogs tend to attract attention." The boy replied with a small shrug.

She nodded at that before smiling. "Well, don't worry about it. In my opinion, being a kid is better anyway."

"I get a room that isn't labeled 'dog room'...so I guess it kind of is," Kirby replied as he glanced at her.

Vetiver looked at him in surprise. "Kind of!?" She smirked. "Being a kid is the absolute best! Being a human!" She held up her fingers as she listed. "You get to have a real bed, you get to play video games, you get the best food, you get to freely sit on the couch, then there's parks, roller coasters, and other cool stuff!" She smirked and said, "And you can't forget eating at the table."

Kirby blinked and shrugged again. "Yeah...I guess there is all of that." He said with a small smile.

Vetiver nodded. "Those are just my personal preferences. I don't mind if yours are different." She said, looking at the elevator.

"I...honestly don't have any. Not yet at least." The boy said with a small laugh.

The girl smiled at him before looking back at the elevator. "You've never been on an elevator either?" She tilted her head.

"Nope." Kirby said, popping the 'p' while staring at the elevator. "What is it?"

Vetiver looked at him blankly. "It's a machine that takes you to floors without using stairs." She regained her smile.

"Oh. So that must be what they installed in the castle…" Kirby said, trailing off with a head tilt.

Vetiver nodded before pointing to another moving machine. "Those...are escalators. They are moving stairs. They move for you, so you don't have to waste energy." She folded her arms behind her back.

"Sounds like what Hades needs to install," Kirby said with a laugh, blinking as he heard a nearby crash. "...Almost like Hades was here...and I just insulted him." He said before shrugging and looking back at her.

Vetiver tilted her head. "Hades is the flaming old guy, right?" She rested her hand on her chin.

"Yeah. The one who blows up constantly." Kirby answered in a casual manner, ignoring a second crash from behind them.

Vetiver blinked at all of the crashing before continuing to walk. "Geez. Sounds like someone didn't mind a wet floor sign or something." She said with a chuckle.

"Or it is Hades and he's scaring people into dropping things," Kirby told her with a small smile.

Vetiver tilts her head at him. "Aren't you a tad worried he'll fuss at us?"

"And destroy his image? Hades is...working on something and that requires a...relatively good image." Kirby explained with a shrug.

Vetiver blinked. "So...we could say whatever we want and he won't touch us?" She said with a growing smirk.

"Pretty much. If we were...not kids, he'd be kicking our butts. Unfortunately for him...kicking our butts looks a lot like abuse." Kirby said with a chuckle.

Vetiver evil smirked before sighing as she realized something. "Ah...Heidi said we have to be good. Causing a flame-haired god to create a stampede through the mall wouldn't be considered good…" She said with a chuckle.

"Heidi wouldn't care if you made him rage outside...but there are too many people in here. So yeah...it wouldn't be good." Kirby said with a small smile.

She heavily sighed. "Alriiiiight. I'll keep it in my pocket for now." She smiled at him. "So, puppy. Did you want to get anything for your, not so puppy, new room?"

Kirby looked around before he spotted Heidi walking towards them with no Audrey in sight. "I was about to say we'd need money...but I just spotted Heidi." He said, pointing at the tall bluenette.

"Heidi?" She looked before spotting her. Vetiver giggled. "I bet she can't find me!" She said before running into the crowd.

While she was in the crowd, she went to a nearby wall. There she disguised herself as a potted plant. "Heh...heh…" She snickered before going still.

Heidi looked blankly at where the girl was, in her eyes at least, obviously hiding before looking down at Kirby. "Care to go get her? I was gonna bring you two to the Apple Store since I sent Audrey there ahead of time." She explained, placing a hand on her hip while shaking her head.

Kirby shrugged. "I'll go get her…" He said before teleporting into the crowd towards where Vetiver was hiding.

Beside him, the plant sneezed before going still again.

Kirby gave the plant a deadpan before shaking his head. "Heidi was going to take us to the Apple Store." He said simply.

The plant immediately transformed back into the girl as she giggled. "Ha, ha! You found me!" She cheered before skipping to where Heidi was. "Come on and stop goofing around. Let's go!" She said with a peppy smile.

Kirby teleported back to Heidi's side. "Just give her a sec." He told her with a shrug and a small smile.

After a minute, Vetiver ran out of the crowd holding a small coin. "I found a penny! Now, I am sooo lucky." She said, pocketing the coin.

Heidi tilted her head at that. "Well, I think everybody is lucky at the moment...unless they are the Apple Store worker talking with Audrey at the moment." She said with a smirk before she began leading them to the store.

Vetiver blinked at that. "Huh...maybe I should give them the penny…"

"Even a lucky penny wouldn't save them if Audrey walked in. She said she's getting you two phones, everybody gets tablets, the best computers she can find...and she's obsessed with the idea of an Apple Watch. Not to mention she'll nab anything else she finds interesting." Heidi explained, glancing around with mild interest.

Vetiver blinked again before she grinned. "We're getting phones!?" She said in a high pitched voice.

"And anything else you find interesting. Everything I just listed is all the stuff Audrey is going after...If you two want watches like her and I, she'll buy them." Heidi said, smiling a bit at her enthusiasm.

Vetiver had performed a short river dance at that before moonwalking. "Can we walk faster?" She asked in her excitement.

Heidi casually picked them both up before practically zooming so fast it seemed as though she teleported them. Setting them down, she gestured to the store. "And...here we are." She said, idly setting a hand on a dizzy Kirby's head.

Vetiver, who was blank for a moment, jumped in excitement. "Yay!" She said before running into the store to find her mother.

Audrey, who had at least five workers listening to her, turned around and smiled at the sight of the girl. "Ooh, you made it!" She said as a few of the workers ran off to get stuff.

Vetiver came and waved. "Hi, mama! You didn't tell me you were getting me more stuff!" Then her face went blank. "I feel like a happy freeloader." She blinked with her blank expression.

Audrey picked her up with ease despite her sizable bump. "Aw, you aren't a freeloader. We've had freeloaders before and they did far less than you." She said, not appearing to notice as Heidi ran out to catch a nearby raging Hades. "Hades crashed on our couch for a month and often only moved to annoy us and to get the TV remote."

Vetiver leaned into Audrey and said, "So, I'm not being a burden? I know I'm not the easiest kid to deal with. I also know that I haven't really been in your life…" She said as her eyes turned orange as she looked to the side.

"No. You aren't a burden by any means and it doesn't matter if you've only been in my life a short while, okay?" Audrey told her with a smile.

The smaller pinkette nodded. "Okay, mama." She smiled at her, watching the workers scramble.

Audrey carried her over to where the watch displays were. "So, I wasn't sure if you wanted one, but Heidi and I are getting Apple Watches. Now that you are here...Did you happen to want one?" She asked, looking to the girl with a smile.

Vetiver looked at her mother happily. "Yeah. I would, actually." She smiled brightly.

Audrey giggled at that before pointing out one of the bands. "This is the one I got. A Raspberry Buckle while the watch is set in a ceramic type base. In other words...Pink and white." She explained, waving down another panicked worker.

Vetiver tilted her head at that. "Wow...that's pretty." She sighed with wonder while she looked at the glossy watch.

"It is, isn't it?" Audrey agreed with a smile before looking up at the worker. "Add another one of those onto my order. Exactly the same as the one I previously requested." She said, prompting the worker to smile before running off towards the back of the store.

"The workers remind me of bees." The girl said as she smiled. "Speaking of, I took Kirby to see our colony today."

Audrey looked up from one of the watches as she gestured to a worker. "Really? He didn't scare them too bad, did he?" She asked with a head tilt.

Vetiver smirked at that before saying, "I may or may not have let him scare the bees on purpose." She chuckled at that. "On the bright side, we got honeycombs!"

Audrey laughed at that. "Well, at least you got something sweet out of it." She said before looking to the worker. "Another one of these, just tell the guys in the back to add on a second watch of the first one I asked for. The black one." She told him, prompting him to run off to do so.

Vetiver finally turned to see the chaos that was happening outside the store. "Mom. There is an interesting scene that is playing out there." She said with a laugh.

"Ah...It's just Hades. I know how to stop him, do you wanna go play with the iPads? That really big one over there is the one I got you." Audrey said, pointing out the largest tablet in the row as she set the girl down.

Vetiver looked at the large tablet in amazement. She squeaked, "Really!? Okay!" She ran off to the tablets with a giggle.

Audrey smiled at that before walking to the entrance where Kirby was still standing. "Heidi went out to control Hades?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

Kirby nodded. "Yep." He replied simply with a shrug.

Audrey nodded knowingly before clearing her throat. "Hey, DAD!" She yelled at the top of her lungs, causing Hades to look at her mid-sprint. "Did I forget to point this out?" She said with a smile and pointed to her belly.

Hades' eyes widened as he crashed into a startled Heidi. "SINCE WHEN?!" He yelled back while Heidi punched him off of her.

Audrey scratched the side of her head. "For a while now." She said plainly, giggling once she saw the god stumble a bit at that.

"Wha...How long is a while? You are huge!" The god yelled, prompting both Kirby and Heidi to facepalm.

"...A month," Audrey said with halved eyes.

"A MONTH?!" Hades yelled before Heidi, who was trying to prevent another scene, knocked him out with a hard punch to his head.

Audrey shook her head at them as Heidi began dragging her father out. "And...I should have figured he'd bring out the 'huge' card." She deadpanned.

Kirby nodded. "You really should have." He told her before shrugging and walking to where Vetiver was while Audrey went to where most of the workers were.

Vetiver glanced up at him. "Hey, Kirby." She said as she poked at the large screen.

"Hey. That's a big tablet…" He said with a head tilt.

"Uh-huh." She said happily. "Mom said she got me one. Can I...let you in on a secret?" She looked at him with a frown as her eyes turned grey.

Kirby tilted his head the other way. "...Is there something wrong with her doing that?" He asked with a small frown, concern working its way into his eyes.

She looked at him with a frown. "There's nothing wrong with her doing that. I love the gifts. It's just that…" She sighed again as she gently laid the tablet down.

"What?" Kirby asked in a gentle manner, quickly faking a smile when Audrey looked their way before looking back at her.

Vetiver bit her lip before saying, "I don't know. It's...hard to explain. I guess I don't quite feel like I have a place here. I feel like an oddball. On top of that, I feel like I'm just jumping in then taking advantage of all the good stuff. If you know what I mean." She used her index finger to tap the table.

Kirby nodded at that before giving her a small smile. "If you were in it for the good stuff...Heidi wouldn't be doing this. I saw her...smile though, and while it doesn't sound like a lot, it is. You make Heidi smile, especially right now, and you've probably gone and won her over." He explained, watching as Heidi walked past them and gave them a smile before joining Audrey. "See? And I know it wasn't just me she was smiling at."

Vetiver blinked at that before thinking. "...Are you sure?" She looked up at him.

Kirby nodded with a wider smile. "Heidi is...pretty much my mom. I know almost everything about her so...yeah, I'm sure of it." He told her with a chuckle.

Vetiver smiled before capturing the boy in an embrace. "Thank you, Kirby." She released him as she thought once more.

"Not a problem. I'm sure I don't have to go into the tens of reasons as to why Audrey has basically made you her own." Kirby said with a laugh.

Vetiver's smile widened as she looked at him. "I think we both know those." She folded her arms. "I have decided. I will do something for them in return! It's the least I can do for them being so nice to me." She said, covering her mouth afterward. "But...it's a surprise, okay?"

Kirby nodded. "My lips will be sealed." He told her with a smile.

She nodded before whispering, "You know...I could use some help. I need to know what Heidi likes. Would you..?" Vetiver played with her fingers as she suddenly felt nervous asking to spend extra time with the boy.

Kirby smiled a bit more at that and nodded once more. "Sure. Besides…" His voice dropped to a whisper. "My mom likes all things that are made for her...the stuff that shows you truly care. Mainly since that's the only stuff money can't buy." He finished with a small shrug.

Vetiver nodded happily. "Thank you and...I'll keep that in mind." She said as she tapped her chin in thought.

Kirby gave her one more nod before looking up as he saw Heidi walking over. "Just keep it in mind." He said in a cryptic manner, subtly gesturing to the approaching bluenette.

Vetiver looked at him before glancing at the approaching woman. She took a double-take before playing casual. She scrolled aimlessly through the large tablet. "Hello, Heidi!" She said to her.

Heidi gave them both a wave and smiled. "Audrey is...torturing some workers at the moment." She said while glancing at a bunch of panicked workers before looking at them. "Did you want to go check out accessories for everything? Afterward, I was going to let Audrey go home and have fun with all of that and take Kirby here shopping for his room back at the castle." She explained before looking at Vetiver. "If you want, you can head home with Audrey since we are gonna be out and about for a while."

Vetiver nodded eagerly. "YES-I mean-yes. I have a few things on my to-do list...that I need...to do…" She said before throwing out a smile.

Heidi chuckled at that. "Well...If you want any sort of drone...headphones, earbuds, or even phone cases, they are all over near that wall. I'm gonna pick up a couple of drawing tablets for the business since we wore ours out fast with how often we use them." She said, walking over to said wall and levitating two large boxes off of a shelf before placing them where all of Audrey's stuff was.

Vetiver nodded. "Okay. I'll do that, then head back home." She smiled once more before heading off to the accessories.

Kirby followed her while Heidi walked over to Audrey. "Hey, you are taking Vetiver back while Kirby and I are going shopping for his room." She told the pinkette, looking at the large amount of stuff.

Audrey smiled with a shrug as she subtly spelled the workers to move nearly three times as fast. "Okay, I'll pay for all this and get it back. You get to pay for whatever they are picking up over there." She said pointing to the kids while Heidi shrugged.

Heidi walked back over to them as she spied Kirby going after a drone. "I trust you won't be using that for spying on my father?" She said with a smirk.

Kirby almost dropped the box before chuckling and slowly turning around. "...Would you believe I'm using it to spy on...Hermes?" He said, pausing for a name before smiling quickly.

Heidi stared at him before shaking her head. "Just put it up on the counter." She said blankly before rubbing her forehead as the boy ran to put it on the counter.

Vetiver came back with cases, controller attachments, a wireless mouse, and a keyboard. "That's all for me. I think I have enough pairs of headphones." She said with a chuckle.

Heidi looked at everything she had gathered before going about finding them. "Fine with me. Just put them up on the counter while I get some stuff for Kirby. Audrey's order is just about handled, so you can go join her." She told the girl, gesturing for Kirby to join her to look at more things.

Vetiver brought her eyes from them and turned them to the counter. She walked up and placed her things down. She glanced from her mother, to her belongings. I wonder what mama would like…

Audrey hummed as she idly counted through a large wad of hundred dollar bills before sighing and shaking her head. "Okay, $50,000 is a bit too much to count in hundreds, just use my card." She said before making a pink sparkly card appear as she made the bills disappear.

Vetiver tilted her head at that. "So...are we done yet?" She tilted her head innocently. Mentally excited to get home and begin her gift hunt.

Audrey giggled at her excitement as she accepted her card back. Snapping her fingers, the countless bags disappeared, supposedly back to her room, before the pinkette turned to smile at her. "Yep. We are good." She looked at Heidi. "I'll see you later, Heidi! You too Kirby!" She told them both, prompting them both to wave back.

Vetiver waved at them. "Bye, Heidi! Bye, Kirby!" She winked at him before turning back to her mother.

Audrey picked the girl up before teleporting them back to the room. "And we are back. I'm going to spend sometime setting everything up, want me to come and get you when it's all done?" She asked with a smile as she set the girl down on the bed and looked at all the bags in the room.

The smaller pinkette nodded happily. "Yes, please. I have a lot of stuff to do in little time anyway." She said with a smile.

"Well, you can go do that and I'll start sorting everyone's stuff into areas. Just come and see me if you need anything." Audrey told her before going to start unbagging everything.

Vetiver stood and ran off of the bed. She nearly tripped as she slid off. "Okay, havefunseeyoumama, bye!" She swiftly said before zooming off.
