Hey there everyone! I'm doing ok after the wisdom tooth extraction but haven't been able to write. I'm starting to feel more myself again and am excited to start writing some of my upcoming chapters so I really can't wait to start plotting and writing again over the next few weeks. I have some ideas... just not quite connected the dots as I've thrown in a couple of odd things that weren't in my planning. So off I go to figure this all out!
Stay safe!
Lots of love,

Breaking Traditions-Part 37:
Lucius and Narcissa began to get the baby's nursery ready. Narcissa was so focused on getting Rosalie's name just perfect on the wall above the crib that Priscilla had given them. It was brand new and was a baby pink colour that matched the wallpaper that had already been put up.
Narcissa stood back and smiled at her work. Rosalie's name was captured in gold and surrounded by fairies and unicorns.
"You've done well my darling," Lucius said as he kissed his wife's cheek and smiled as they looked around the nursery, "I know she won't be in here for a while but when she is it'll be so light and airy for her."
"We will start on her playroom when she is older and starting to move about. The nursery was the main thing to be completed before she comes home," Narcissa said as she rested her head on her husband's shoulder.
"That and informing Draco of events. I'm guessing that's next on the list…" Lucius said and Narcissa nodded softly.
"Yes. I think we should go to Hogwarts tomorrow and inform Draco, before Rosalie comes home," Narcissa said, "we need to tell him now or else he won't thank us for it later."
So the next day Draco was surprised, but overjoyed, to see his parents as he was shown into Dumbledore's office.
"Mother, Father," he said as he sat down with his parents and Dumbledore made sure they had snacks and refreshments before he left the family to their discussion.
"Forgive us for not telling you this sooner but it has all happened rather fast," Narcissa said as she looked at Draco, "we've been visiting a baby at an orphanage… that much we told you but we have now received the information that that baby girl is now going to be known as Rosalie Malfoy. She comes home very soon so we've been working quickly around the Manor to make sure that everything is ready for her coming."
Draco sat and listened to his mother speaking before a great smile broke out on his face.
"I'm going to be the best big brother ever!" he said instantly as he looked at her, "it must have happened so fast if you've only just managed to tell me now. That's fine though. I understand. Baby Rosalie and her being safe in the Manor comes first."
"When did you grow up so much?" Lucius said as he looked at his son, "you've handled this so well and we really are proud of you," he said smiling slightly as he looked at his wife and then son, "this will be great for us all, despite what some people say." He said as he smiled and relaxed.
"There is one thing that we do need to discuss with you though Draco," Narcissa said, "and that is your grandparents, minus my mother, will probably meet Rosa first as they're all currently living at the Manor so my mother couldn't get to them easily," she said, biting her lip softly as she saw the smile fade slightly from her son's face.
"I'm sad that I will probably be the last to meet her but that's fine. If I was at home then things would be different and I would have met her first," Draco said, "that does make me sad but it'll be fine. It gives me something to look forwards to. When does she come home?"
"Well we go to sign the papers tomorrow so we shall see if she's coming back with us or not," Lucius said as he explained, "we suspect they will let us take her home but it depends if they want to keep her another day but I can't see that happening really," he said before having a sip of his drink, "there's no need for them to keep her and the sooner she's behind the Malfoy wards then the safer she'll be. We're lucky that your grandmother hasn't found her yet, but she's in the south of France so that has been a help. Your grandfather has been keeping an eye on her to make sure that she stays away from the orphanage and remains in France. So far it appears to have worked but we'll feel better when we have Rosalie behind the Malfoy Manor wards."
Draco nodded and smiled before he had some of his drink before smirking.
"Bet you're glad I gave you a kick now aren't you father?"
"Am I missing something?" Narcissa asked.
"Yes. Our son put the idea into my head when we sent him off to school. Can't remember if I told you or not," Lucius said before watching as Narcissa chuckled softly.
"Of course. The son looking out for his mother always," she said softly before the three talked some more and then finished their drinks. Lucius and Narcissa then said their goodbyes and the Malfoy parents headed back to the Manor.
The next morning and Lucius and Narcissa were awake early and neither ate much at breakfast and the parents didn't force them into eating much knowing that Lucius and Narcissa were probably nervous and excited to finally call the baby theirs.
The couple soon headed to the orphanage and were shown to the Head Carer's office and were relieved to hear that once the papers had been signed that Rosalie would be going home with them.
"We started to call her Rosalie so she could get used to hearing the name," the carer explained, "we thought that it would be a good idea."
"Thank you for that," Lucius said, "hopefully that will help us a little. Also Narcissa and I wish to thank you for the co-operation you've given us all things considering," he said, "this hasn't been easy at all. I'm sure you've seen the Prophet," he said, "rest assured nothing will happen to Rosalie."
"I know it won't," the Head Carer said before she watched the Malfoys sign the papers and then asked for the baby to be brought to them with her things.
As soon as Lucius had Rosalie in his arms he apparated his wife and daughter into the entrance hall of the Manor. Rosalie Isabelle Malfoy was finally in her new home and there she would stay.
