Todoroki
(Lemon)
The nights after I returned, we were only making up for the time we were not together. I didn't want to part with him, and despite his expressions of disgust, I know he didn't either. During the day I kept waiting for the night to come to enjoy each other's company without self–consciousness.
We were sitting right in the center of his bed, facing each other. My hands roamed his hair and shoulders, while his hands creased the folds of my pajamas. My nose was permeated with his breath and the sweet aroma of burnt sugar. Our lips coordinated with slow movements, as if we didn't want to end the kiss. He liked to take my lower lip, down to my chin and then down to my neck. Our bodies drew even closer and subtle moans were discretely audible.
Feeling his wet lips run from my clavicle to my jugular, did nothing but secure my fingers in his blond hair. I could easily get addicted to it, if I wasn't already by then. The nights when I slept alone on my futon, wanting to take refuge in his nocturnal embrace, they seemed eternal.
I took his face again, to satisfy me with his lips, passing to his cheekbones, his forehead and nose. I could feel him shudder at the sudden friction, to kiss him again, clinging to me.
– I missed you Bakugou, – despite the darkness of the room and the dim outside light that filtered through the curtains, I could notice a slight crimson hue on his cheeks – a lot. – My hands couldn't stop caressing him, seeing him in the eyes made me feel the urge to want him closer.
– If you feel guilty for leaving without telling me anything, you can start to tell me what happened – He didn't seem upset, rather expectant.
– Okay – I turned around until I was lying on his chest. He rested his head on my shoulder, as his hands encircled my waist, drawing me closer to him. I took a deep breath before starting. – I was frequently beginning to experience episodes in which I remembered the ... constant abuse of my old man – my hands began to shake. – Reasons why my mother is hospitalized, my withdrawn siblings and I with the heavy burden of being the result of what he was looking for, a mere tool to surpass him. – I was beginning to feel overwhelmed, my muscles ached when thinking about our last fight, that was when I felt how Bakugou intertwined his fingers with mine, calming me instantly.
– You don't have to continue if it is too difficult for you. – His voice like a whisper, eliminated the anguish I felt.
– I couldn't think clearly ... – I continued – I'm still trying to deal with how I feel about him, while thinking about the type of hero I want to become. –I turned my face to meet his eyes – I didn't want to hurt you and I didn't know how to deal with what I felt ...
– What made you think that walking away from me would be helpful? – He released one of my hands, to bring it to my cheek – Don't hesitate to talk to me never. I will always be there to listen to you. – Only when he spoke to me with this neutral tone, did I know that he was speaking with the Bakugou that only a few had been shown, and with whom he always wanted to be. – Don't exclude me or distance me from you; I want to help you. – I couldn't think of anything more than kissing him, this time with more force, I was hungry for him. Then I understood that I was grateful to have him in my life, to be with him, so much so that I began to question if I deserved it.
– Thank you, Katsuki – leaning my forehead against his. I was so immersed in his presence that I called him by name. – I want to call you like that. – He looked at me in conflict, acquiring a reddish color. – And I want you to call me by my name, now that I think about it, you have never done it. Are you sure you know my name?
– Of course! – it was fun to see him that complicated just by naming it
– I want to hear you say it – turning to be in front of him again. Not only was he a deep red, but the temperature on his face was palpably high as well.
– You're an idiot ... – approaching him quickly – Shoto – he sealed my reaction with a kiss, although I couldn't help but smile at each swing. Only with him I felt this full, and I wanted it to be that way indefinitely.
– You are the best thing that happened to me, Katsuki – I managed to say in a brief pause
– I know – taking my lips again.
…
Our classmates had started their internships with the professionals. We were gathered in the common area. I must admit that I was somewhat overwhelmed to hear them; I couldn't help but feel guilty thinking that because of my internal conflicts I sabotaged my own trial to acquire the provisional license. While looking at the others in the distance, Katsuki approached me.
– Don't think about it so much, bicolor – he must have been in a similar situation
– It's more complex than that – I didn't want to fail again. – We must reach them
– I already know it! – exploded. Indeed, this also affected him.
– We'll do well – he growled again. – You are too loud
– And you take things too easy. – hissed
– That's why we get along so well – after listening to me, far from objecting, his face relaxed.
– You have become very good friends. I'd say, way too much… – Mineta interrupted us, at the same time I felt a murderous aura surround Katsuki.
– Get lost, dwarf! – he threatened. The minion only limited himself to showing a twisted laugh, but the most striking thing was a subtle greenish flash coming out of his eyes.
– At least I did pass my exam. And speaking of which, how are the top of the class doing in their extracurricular course? Will you be able to pass it? – The boy scurried away from us, while I was trying to contain the phlegmatic
– I'M GOING TO KILL YOU, DAMN EVOLVED GRAPE! – taking him by the shoulders
– If you do it, you'll never be a hero – was the best argument I could think of
– No one has to find out that it was me ... – Gaining composure while I couldn't help but feel concerned about that comment.
– Let's go to sleep. We have a training tomorrow. – inviting him to follow me. Thinking of that strange expression Mineta showed, made me feel uncomfortable, for some reason. – Katsuki – I could see how his shoulders tensed when he named him.
– We are in the hall
– And there is no one... That is not the point. Didn't you notice something weird in Mineta? I mean his eyes, I don't know ... I felt something strange when he approached us
– That dwarf is a damn pervert, what did you expect? – Maybe it was just my impression.
The blond stopped on the second floor, when we were supposed to continue to my room. So, I hugged him from behind, startling him a little.
– We said that tonight would be mine
– I never agreed with that; so, let go of me and let's go to my room – crawling with him
– Let's decide it with "rock, paper and scissors"
– Stupid the day Pikachu taught you that stupid game – standing in front of me. As the game dictates, after placing our bets and showing our hand I was victorious with paper on stone, but he took my hand and wrapped it in mine, as if the result had been the opposite.
– That's childish
– And what will you do about it? – approaching me
– We will sleep in my room, as we agreed and because I won
– We'll see that – taking me by the waist until reaching the door of his room. He would have to resort to something else. I pulled him closer to me, and started kissing his neck. His hands on my waist tightened his grip, while he masked a ragged breath.
– As you wish – I whispered in his ear, to make a kissing path up to his collarbone.
This time, my hands climbed up his back freely as I slowly pushed him to the top of the stairs at the other end, stopping as I stepped onto the first step to the third floor.
– You are a manipulator – realizing my intentions
– And you a scammer; we are made for each other – hanging around his neck. – And unless you want to be seen, you must come with me to my room, as we agreed. – kissing his neck again.
– I don't like you – while guiding him upstairs. – You'll have to raise the damn temperature of the igloo you sleep in, then.
– Or I can hug you to sleep – inviting him into my room.
– Tomorrow is my room – he said as a chill ran through his body, although the tank top was not helpful either. He was standing against the door and I put my arms around him.
– So, this will be a routine in which we will decide which room to sleep in? – bringing my lips to his jugular. His hands settled on my shoulders and neck.
– Only if you want it bi ... Shoto – the few times he called me by my name, they made me really happy.
– I would love to sleep next to you every day – I said this time leaning my forehead against his.
– As I said, you are a manipulator – he stressed and then kissed my smile.
He first took my lower lip, then brought our lips together even more. I pulled him even closer to me and he gripped his fingers in my hair. I felt that in each kiss we did it with greater propriety, and that's the way it was. The time we shared together only strengthened our ascending closeness. Yielding to the oscillating movement and the shock of our breaths, with each kiss I only wanted to strengthen him; With each touch, I felt time stop. It was as if only the two of us existed.
I parted with him briefly.
– Are you still cold? – Feeling my arms cover his torso. We both had heavy breathing, and slightly crimson lips.
– Let's go to sleep at once – taking me to my bed.
– I'll set the alarm – while he settled under the blanket. After placing him on my nightstand, I snuggled up behind him, letting my left arm cover it, raising my body temperature. Katsuki always placed his head against my chest and even though it tickled me, I would never stop him. I liked stroking his hair until he fell asleep, and I definitely envisioned doing it for a long time.
...
Among the activities and training that we had to carry out to comply with the requirements to acquire our licenses, were those of crisis management in victims, just the area in which we failed.
Among the methods to be determined to calm the nerves of those affected, we had to determine which would be the most ideal depending on the state or trauma they have experienced.
– This will be fun! – Utsushimi was enjoying the whole process.
– I CAME TO BE A HERO, NOT A CLOWN! – my blond partner exploded
– Showing support for victims is essential, and I'm great at juggling! – Yorashi was quite animated. I must admit that, since our first disagreement, we have improved our relationship a lot, although I am still not convinced that he likes my old man.
– I want to die – lamented the blond next to me
– We only have one month left, hold on a little longer – gently stroking his hair.
We arrived at a disaster area where, as always, we had to deal with different emergencies, except that this time, the help would take longer than expected, so we had to deal with the mood of those affected. After All Might's retirement, it had become a priority to socialize with the victims and calm them down if necessary.
– This time they should de–stress those affected. Their mission is to lift their spirits while making them feel safe – this time Ectoplasm was our supervisor.
– Can I juggle? – the largest of the four inquired
– Any type of entertainment is valid; however, they must choose one that does not end up triggering the fragile state of the victims.
– Damn – Katsuki complained through clenched teeth
– Let's assess the situation before we start – I proposed. As we had been taught, one way to assess the general condition of those affected was to ask them direct questions, taking an interest in them. Katsuki still grappled with communicating with others, but I knew from experience that it was not impossible to appeal to a gentler side.
– LET GO! – even if it was difficult. One of the professional victims with the appearance of a child slipped through one of the grenades in his arms
– I want to play! – the small figure swayed along with his forced movement
– What to play with, huh... – Utsushimi approached the pair. Soon after, with a puff, she created an illusion with an amusement park. The victim walked away from Katsuki, bound for what she thought had materialized before her eyes only for it to disappear shortly after. Her sobs didn't wait, which worsened the general condition.
– You made everything worse, illusionist! – He claimed to make the situation even worse. Even I was beginning to get stressed.
– Arguing will not solve anything – Yorashi raised some rubble, with which he began to exchange it from one hand to another. First it started with two, three, five; until I could no longer count. I have to admit that he mastered them quite deftly and the hostages were engrossed as they watched. However, overconfidence in his abilities made him believe capable of doing it with larger elements, causing him to raise a debris of considerable measure above his head, while his hands maneuvered the smaller rocks, until a strong outside blizzard, caused him to lose control of the air flow.
Due to the size of the chunk above his head and so as not to get crushed, Katsuki quickly created an explosion that, despite being controlled, didn't prevent small chunks from being fired in various directions. I quickly created an ice barrier that protected the victims, but the expressions of disapproval and disgust did not take long. At the rate we were going, we would have the same or worse grades than last time. We should think about something.
– That was very stupid! – Katsuki was still expelling sparks from his hands
– It wasn't intentional! And at least I did something, what have you done? – replied the aforementioned
– Please don't argue! – the blonde came between them
– We must remain calm – while melting the ice wall.
The tension was taking over me too. That's when I thought of the things that usually relax me when I'm stressed. Drink tea, eat cold soba, meditate and...
– We need something flashy, to distract them from the environment where they are – I approached the trio of noisy people. – We have to generate relaxing sounds.
– Music? – Utsushimi clarified
– It could be – I continued
– We don't have anything that plays music – clarified Yorashi
– But we have this – we had been provided with intercoms – We can ask you to tune in to a radio station. – Katsuki continued
– So, you can be collaborative when you want – commented Don Eolic
– WHAT DID YOU SAY?!
– I can create the illusion of a concert! – My confused face invited her to continue – It is an event where many people gather to see others sing and play instruments. – I think I've seen something like this before
– Let's do it then – Yorashi continued, taking his intercom – Control booth we requested that the most popular music station in the entire region be tuned in – and after an affirmative answer, the radio station resounded on all four devices. – It isn't heard loud enough – she indicated
– I can create conical structures in the shape of megaphones to increase the sound – his face lit up
– You are a genius Todoroki! You can't expect less from the son of ...
– If you want us to get along, you won't finish that sentence – I assured, to which he restrained himself.
– Let's do it! – Utsushimi moved away from the three of them to a larger area as Katsuki generated a smoke screen and I created the ice megaphones. At first, I didn't understand what he was trying to do, until by the time we finished, Yorashi with a blast of air cleared the area and an incredible illusion of what the blonde was talking about formed before our eyes. It was a stage where you could see lights and people that I think I have seen before playing instruments. The illusion was so compelling that if you didn't know what we had thought, you would believe it was real. The amplification generated by the ice structures turned out better than I thought.
The professional victims approached the illusion excited. They jumped and screamed with excitement, with an obvious better mood. Utsushimi was moving to the rhythm of the music, while Yorashi created subtle currents of air to the beat of the percussion instruments. We managed to ease the tensions of the hostages and ours. I was off to the side watching the scene, when Katsuki settled to the side.
– That was very clever
– We all cooperate – I assured. – But it was you who gave the idea of the radio station.
– Yes, I'm a genius. – taking one of the small explosives attached to his suit. Immediately afterwards he launched him even towards the illusion, which created an explosion and smoke that did nothing more than cause more euphoria among the highly animated "wounded". I couldn't help but laugh at the ingenious maneuver.
– Yes, you are – taking his hand to look at his eyes, which glowed with that peculiar brilliance. And to think that at the beginning of this term we barely spoke and now we are more united than we ever imagined, and I loved it.
That night, I was feeling restless for some reason that I couldn't identify. I went to the balcony of the room, closing the door with caution not to wake my two companions. That night there was a full moon and a few scattered clouds. I guess I was eager to finish, or rather to feel at the level of others. It was our lousy performance that brought us here in the first place, and I was afraid we would ruin it once again. I was so overwhelmed that I couldn't help taking my arms; the thought was overwhelming.
– What are you doing here? – closing the panel behind him
– I cannot sleep
– That's obvious, but why? – sitting next to me
– I guess I'm eager to wrap up. That's it…
– Are you sure it's just that? – bringing his hand to my hair. Since I was away from him for that week, he had been more attentive to my mood swings.
– You don't have to worry – leaning on his shoulder. That night there was no breeze and only the sound of nocturnal insects was perceptible.
– I'd like to believe that, but the last time you were like this, I didn't see you for five days – stroking my head
– I told you that I wouldn't worry you again, Katsuki – looking into his eyes. He looked sleepy, and yet he came out to see me. – Once we finish the course, I'll be fine.
– We will be. – he affirmed, to which I smiled and then placed a light kiss on his lips.
– Let's go to sleep. – inviting him to follow me.
Our futons were right next to each other. It was annoying being so close and far at the same time. Yorashi slept peacefully on Katsuki's back, preventing me from snuggling up to him, and that's how it was once a week when we had to come to camp.
– I want to sleep with you – I complained, settled under my blanket
– You know very well that we cannot – looking at me straight. I could feel my brow furrow at the thought. – Give me your left hand – at the time that he left his in view, letting out a sigh. Doing as he asked, he took my hand and laced his fingers between mine. – Now go to sleep. – He exclaimed before closing his eyes.
Feeling the warmth of his hand in mine greatly improved my mood. Even if we weren't as close together as I wanted to, watching him sleep would be something I'd never get bored of, no matter where we were. And it was with my gaze fixed on his long eyelashes that I was able to fall asleep.
...
After the guys started practicing with their licenses, it was undeniable that the aura emitted by Uraraka, Tsuchan, Kirishima and especially Midoriya was bleak. Despite being asked what was going on, they remained in a state of reluctant denial. Even one day when we were having lunch with Iida, I offered my soba to the greenette boy, to which he agreed with dilated pupils; seemed to have been crying. Apparently, it was a delicate issue, and those of us who were not involved, we just had to wait for it to be resolved as soon as possible in the expected way.
– I'm sick of the damn extracurricular course! – Katsuki complained while we did stretch
– We have less than a month to finish, although I imagine that is not the only thing that bothers you – I knew very well what it was like when I was uncomfortable about something; he was worried about Kirishima, and I wasn't sure how to feel about it, but I guess it's normal, like Uraraka, Tsuchan and Midoriya, he had been summoned to a meeting.
– Something happens with those four, and it must be worse than we imagine – he got up to drink water
– We can only wait. They have shown good performance and I know they will handle what was asked of them – and I meant it, but I couldn't help but be concerned.
– That's the most exasperating thing. – he hissed.
We started training, after having made a tour of the perimeter of the academy; maybe challenging him to beat him would make his worry dissipate a bit. After at least two hours of various practices, we decided to finish for today, being, for a change, he who was showing me his victory.
– You're too slow – he complained on the way to the bedroom
– Considering that this comes from who won the Sports Festival, being the second slowest isn't bad
– Who are you calling slow?! – I just laughed after getting what I wanted
– Your eyes take on a special glow when you get angry; I like it – when I said this, he blushed to turn his back on me. Looking a little more closely, his back was shiny from sweat; the disparity between his shoulders to his waist was a nice sight and he really enjoyed it. Then I had a somewhat sinister idea. As his sweat burns, I activated my left quirk and slowly approached him and, without even touching him, the fire spread over his skin with incredible speed.
– What the hell?! – The fastest thing that occurred to me was to create a piece of ice on his head that I quickly melted, splashing water on both of us. We were drenched. At the scene I couldn't help laughing. – What do you think is so funny?! – Taking my cheeks that, despite the pain, did not prevent him from laughing.
– If you could see you now, Katsuki – while I couldn't help but laugh.
– You're an Idiot! – freeing me at last
– Yes, but I'm your idiot – I smiled to see him blush once more.
...
It was once the news reported on the incident of the yakuzas of the Shie Hassaikai Clan that we knew the seriousness of the operation in which Uraraka, Tsuchan, Kirishima and Midoriya were involved, with the redhead being the one who ended up in the worst condition, but without serious injuries, along with his tutor FatGum and his partner SunEater. However, it was Mirio Togata and Mr. Nighteye who ended up in worse conditions, the first being stripped of his quirk after being hit by a projectile containing a quirk–erasing drug; and his guardian, seriously injured, to later be informed of his death.
The grim looks were on the four students once we received them the day after the incident. Even our teacher in charge, who was part of the operation, carried a gloomy aura. As we had been told, the mysticism surrounding the operation was due to the parties involved, especially a girl whose quirk was capable of eliminating quirks, which unlike Eraserhead, did so permanently.
– They came back! – Mineta was the first to approach the four.
– I'm glad you're okay! – Yaoyorozu was relieved
– It must have been hard! – Kaminari also approached them while I stayed behind. Katsuki just sat down in one of the armchairs, he would never admit he was worried, especially for Kirishima, whom I could appreciate that he saw out of the corner of his eye ... "They're just friends" I repeat to myself when seeing moments like this.
– You always end up in trouble on an unthinkable scale! – at the moment when Kaminari almost dropped Satou's chocolate cake to hug the redhead. – We are scared to death! – And he was right. Midoriya is a magnet for trouble.
My cell phone vibrated and I walked away as Iida made his appearance. I went outside, as there was too much noise inside.
– I have free time tomorrow, Shoto! – It was my old man – I'll go see your training. – I just ended the call. After our last fight, he had been somehow tamer, but I couldn't help but think it was just making appearances.
After finishing the call that was also made to Katsuki, we decided to withdraw. We were to be ready very early in the morning the next day.
– You were worried, right Bakubro? – Kaminari questioned leaning on him
– I'm going to sleep! – dropping it. He has improved a lot; on another occasion his face would have exploded.
– Why so early? Are you an old man?
– Shut! Unlike you, I am busy – walking in my direction
– Midoriya, Uraraka, Kirishima and Tsuchan, I also leave – following him to the stairs.
He was holding the alarm clock with a serene expression.
– Are you calmer now?
– What do you mean? – placing the object in the header
– Regarding the four of them
– I don't even care! – Settling under the sheets, making a gesture that invited me to accompany him. I settled in front of him putting my arm around him
– As you say – hiding a smile. He is really proud. – At last we will finish the extracurricular course
– I will no longer have to see that pair of idiots – putting his hand to my hair
I know you do like them at least a little
– Ha, sure! – I settled on his chest. I could feel his slow pulse and his sweet scent. – Now sleep. – And as an order, shortly after I was asleep.
As we understood it, we had to present two tests: one of physical endurance and another of whose nature would remain a mystery until we presented it the next day.
As we left the dorms, it was Prof. Present Mic who was waiting for us in the company of All Might.
– Hurry up, bad boys! – the more energetic of the two greeted us
– Good morning – I said
– Today we will be accompanying you – confirmed the most reserved, and it was then that I noticed a potentially alarming scene: Present Mic annoying Katsuki
– Eraser will have to leave the school for the latest incident, so we will be his companions. – Commented the younger of the two – So get the license soon! – leaning on the increasingly visibly annoyed Katsuki.
When we got to the training ground, they dispersed us in different areas. Utsushimi was taken to an area with little or no light; this being its weakness because it is through the refraction of light that its power is visible, which would force it to create an opening or other means that creates it. Rather, Yorashi was taken to an area of intense drafts, forcing his to demonstrate mastery of his quirk in extreme conditions; which left Katsuki and me in similar situations to theirs. While he would have to create explosions in conditions of exaggerated humidity, I would have to control a fire, creating large amounts of ice that had to melt fast enough to prevent its expansion, without causing a cold front or the neutralization of both quirks, or at least that would be my strategy.
– Let the test begin! – And that's how we were isolated, or so I thought because it was possible to see the performance of the other three. For what? The areas are supposed to be designed for each specific one, unless it is not for mere distraction.
Upon entering the place, the air was incredibly dense. The plumes of smoke were considerably long. I thought of causing the condensation of the water so that it fell from above. I created a wall of ice with less coverage to make it more malleable, however, it did nothing more than evaporate it.
The smoke was spreading leaving much of the forest consumed; if I didn't hurry there would be no fire to stop. The air was beginning to thin out ... along with a murmur of which I didn't know the origin; it was like a kind of barely audible whisper.
When I was almost wounded by a tree that fell off its base, I was forced to go to one of the extremes where, when hitting the limit, I could hear a struggle; it was Yorashi. Looking at the screen at the top I could see that he was dealing with a sandstorm, or rather, a tornado. At that moment, my eyes also focused on the other screens; the space where was Katsuki was a kind of a humid cave where the water level reached his knees. On the other hand, Utsushimi was the only one he couldn't see as her camera was in total darkness.
Suddenly, screams began to resonate at one end of the area. Victims?
Where I was, the smoke was even thicker and made it difficult to see. If he didn't create an opening, he would end up unconscious. That's when I saw an intercom. At first, I thought it was the control booth in case we couldn't deal with the test, but in that case, they would just have to intervene, without waiting for our call ...
For now, I managed to condense only a small portion of the terrain with manageable chunks of ice as I thought of some other strategy. The others were dealing with their own spaces and I felt that this intercom was the key. I approached him.
– Is anybody listening to me?
– Todoroki! – It was Yorashi's voice, he was perceived as conflicted, along with the snorting of the wind on the microphone
I looked at the monitors at the top and was indeed right in the center of the tornado, with my eyes closed to avoid the murky air around it. However, my eyes went further to the upper surface of the dome. It was sectioned ... That's it!
– Yorashi! I need you to get closer to one of the right ends of your space until you reach an intercom – the areas were close together and considering the conditions the other pair were in, they were likely in the same place.
– Understood! – He answered me with difficulty, while the air was scarce where he was.
I looked at the screens waiting for a response from one of the other two, and depending on which of them reacted, I would know that this was not the only intercom in all space. It was Katsuki who made a sudden movement and detached himself from the props in his arms to jump into the water to his left, quite annoyed. Which means that…
I again condensed as much water as possible to dissipate my way to the other end.
– Utsushimi! I need you to be ready for a hefty blast! – She knew that it was total darkness where she was, so she couldn't get close to the intercom. Once closer, I was able to confirm that the screams were coming from her section, although they were muffled. – It will come from the left side!
I moved back to the opposite end where the other intercom was, dodging some branches and holding my breath as long as possible. My eyes burned.
– Yorashi need you to ask Bakugou to make an opening where the intercom is!
– I'll try! – He answered with difficulty. At this point, visibility was almost zero and I was submerged in a wall of smoke, I was losing consciousness ...
A succession of audibly contained explosions activated my senses and shortly afterwards another even greater one broke one of the divisions of the space where it was. Quickly, gusts of wind and sand drifted into the forest, the smoke and flames ceasing as the air became breathable. Yorashi was the one who came to pick me up. Standing, we both looked at the remaining pair of monitors, where Utsushimi was now visible. Katsuki had created an opening that created enough light to be distinguishable.
In the background, professional victims were seen sobbing, so the girl quickly created an illusion that calmed them; they were a kind of dancing motley who managed to accomplish the requirements. Katsuki approached us after helping the victims out, calmer than he would have ever imagined in such conditions. Yorashi walked over to them to remove some debris while I was recovering from a tree.
– You're good? – Leaning in front of me. Drops of water still fell from his hair.
– Yes, just a little exhausted
– Test finished! – The evaluator's voice resounded in the place to give way to the alarm that announced the end of the test, while I exhaled exhausted.
– At last we will finish this damn ordeal. And you, why are you so happy? – Looking at me strangely. I created a wall of ice that locked us both in a vault, and before he could say anything else, I pulled him close to me to kiss him. His lips were wet and his skin cold.
– What do you do?! – sitting next to me
– I'm overwhelmed, but that you're here makes me feel so much better – taking his hand
– Idiot, in this situation we are going to attract attention – taking my face, this time he will be the one to kiss me. Having him around made me feel calmer, but the worry didn't go away entirely.
In the end I couldn't contain the fire, so I wasn't sure of my performance. I didn't even know if intervening in other people's tests was the right thing to do; it was enough just to hear the results.
– Everyone approved – the two Shiketsu students were the happiest
– But I couldn't stop the fire – I commented confused
– But it was you who realized that it was necessary to turn to others for help. – The white–haired man approached us – This was a test of cooperation in which it was also necessary to meet your colleagues. In your roles as professional heroes, you will find themselves in situations where you will have to assess whether to go ahead on your own or request help from other heroes to compensate for weaknesses. Being heroes is teamwork.
– You must not doubt yourself, Todoroki – Yorashi, being friendly
– You are not only handsome but also a genius – said the blonde, closing a smiling eye. I didn't understand the gesture and Katsuki scoffed; I, on the other hand, was relieved. – Good performance, you can retire to rest. Tomorrow will be your last test – walking away from us.
– You seem to be fully recovered, Kemy! – That illusion was fantastic
– Yes, I'm already much better.
– They already started talking stupid things again – joining them.
– Were you ill, Utsushimi?
– Always so friendly, Todoroki. But remember you can call me Kemy – approaching me. – I was asleep for four days and didn't remember anything. That's why I wasn't in the exam.
– But we saw you in the first practice ...
– It wasn't me – Katsuki and I exchanged glances. That was very strange. – Investigations into what happened are continuing. – She took another step forward – But I am glad to know that you are worried about me, Todoroki – hanging on my neck, only for Katsuki to cause an explosion that was only held back by other supervisors who praised us for our performance.
That night, the situation that led the girl to take these tests left me thoughtful.
– Katsuki, didn't you find what happened to Utsushimi strange? – He stopped when he heard her name – It would not be the first–time information has been leaked
– Yes, it is very strange. But the idiot is also very distracted. – He looked distant. I went over to take his hand.
– What if this has to do with LOV? – his eyes widened
– You don't have to be so serious – lifting my chin – If I run into them again, I will explode them from the inside out. Despite his comment, I couldn't help but be worried. I only remembered when he was kidnapped.
– I don't want that…
– Nothing will happen – this time taking my face in his hands. – We will be fine – joining my forehead to his. He wanted to believe him, but thinking about how easily they had managed to get close to the academy so far was alarming. Without elaborating further on the subject, we retired to the room.
…
– We're here! – This time they took us to a different facility than the others. The day before I saw no sign of my old man, but I did not rule out the possibility that he was present, in addition to the fact that the idea that All Might was present, did not stop giving me a bad feeling. I just hope they didn't meet.
–They have already arrived! – Yorashi was noted with his energetic voice. Hearing it made me feel exhausted.
– They look very handsome in their uniforms – being greeted now by Utsushimi – Are they single?
– Never would an idiot like you be of interest to us – my companion hissed
– Yes, I have been able to appreciate it ... – Smiling at us with a shrewd look. He couldn't help but think that he always seemed to leave his prayers half done.
– Utsushimi, those of Shiketsu should not be related to inferior beings – a boy who reminded me of the boy from 1 – C approached us.
– You shouldn't be here! – and apparently, he is known to Katsuki
– They gave me permission to observe them! – with a similar character
– You're nothing more than a nuisance, Sisi – the blond chuckled
– I'm Seiji Shishikura!
– By the way, you are Endeavor's son, right? – That made my stomach turn – You're handsome and famous! You can't ask for more! – she was getting closer to me, until the most explosive of the five came between us
– Get lost, illusionist!
– Sorry, I didn't want to exceed your limits – Limits? She said very confusing things and I wonder if she did it just to annoy Katsuki.
We went to change and Yorashi started asking me questions:
– What do you like to eat?
– The zaru soba noodles.
– I like hot soba.
– We don't agree
– Not at all. He put a hand on my shoulder – But I think we got a little closer. – Right after, Katsuki came between us, pushing the big boy away from me. Although, I don't understand why he insists t be friends. We continue walking towards a large ship.
– Today's training will take place in this sports center – who was waiting for us was Mr. Mera, the person in charge of monitoring our practices. This time we were accompanied by more students.
– Shoto! – damn. I must ignore it ... – You'll not stumble here! Show them what you're made of!
– It can't be, it's Endeavor! – And that's how the group's concentration disappeared, which reminded me ...
– Hero number two ... No, number one – Yorashi had a grim face, just what I feared if my old man showed up.
– Wait, the one next to him is not...
– All Might!
– Great! – I was feeling irritated, so I turned my back on them.
– Just hold on, it's our last test – standing in front of me. – Don't let your old man bother you. – Showing me a subtle smile, which eased my tension
– Yes – returning the gesture.
– Calm down, please! – asked Mr. Mera.
They divided us into groups of four and, as before, there were Utsushimi, Yorashi, Katsuki and myself. The doors of the left wing opened, giving way to the current hero number ten, Gang Orca, with whom I had a very unfortunate encounter with Yorashi.
– I know the previous exam took your breath away, but this time it will be a more challenging test – More challenging? This would be worse than I thought ... – Failed! – He was walking at a military pace around us. – Time with you made me realize that ... You are not heroes; you are inferior beings!
– Yes sir! – the others answered in chorus
– I cannot hear you!
– YES SIR! – even stronger.
After an intimidation session, he proceeded to give us directions to the location.
– I know you are efficient enough in combat, but that's it. While it is true that you have improved your relationship with the victims, you still have to face another equally important challenge – now it was the right door that was opening. – Today you will carry out a special test. What you lack is having a heart. – A group of very noisy children was present. – Connect your hearts in this death duel! That is your proof!
– THEY ARE HEROES! – And I thought Yorashi was exhausting. The infants ran towards us with overwhelming energy. Katsuki looked at them with contempt as they rushed towards him. This would be really challenging.
– GET AWAY FROM ME, BRATS! – for some more than others. I hope this does not cause injuries, not many, at least ...
What a looooooongggggg chapter ...
Fact # 40
