The week flew by fast. Classes were boring and informative as usual. Homework was manageable. Studying for N.E.W.T.S early was the main thing that kept me occupied. Saturday rolled around quick and it was time for Hogsmeade.

For one, Harry and Ron were visiting. And on another note, Neville was having his date.

We all decided to meet in Hogsmeade since Neville had started getting first date jitters. "What if I mess up?"

"Neville your overthinking everything" I shook my head trying to calm him down.

"What is he doesn't like me?"

"How could someone not like you?!" I tried to encourage him.

We were approached the Three Broomsticks closer and closer as Neville started to back up father and farther. I groaned, "Neville come one."

"I-I can't."

"I'll be right there with you Nev" I cooed dragging in towards the Three Broomsticks.

I opened the door as the little bell rang on the door. The Three Broomsticks was decorated in full out Christmas decorations and colors. Wreaths were hung everywhere and tinsel was decorating the walls. There was a large Christmas tree in the corner.

Sitting at a booth was Blaise and Draco who were talking adamantly about something. I waved to Blaise who noticed me immediately and waved us over.

Neville was hiding behind me which didn't really make sense because he was so much taller than me and could be seen.

"Wood, Longbottom" Draco nodded to us.

"Hey Blaise" I smiled, "Malfoy."

"Hi Neville" Blaise greeted Neville who look frozen in place.

I elbowed Neville in the stomach to alert him to talk to Blaise. "Oh erm hello" he meekly waved back, his voice cracking a little.

"Sit" I dully commanded at the pair who sat down at the booth opposite from each other. Quickly, I grabbed Malfoy by the hand and dragged him to a booth farther away so that we couldn't be seen, but had a view of Neville and Blaise.

It was awkward at first, but Neville and Blaise really did seem to hit it off. After all the first date jitters out of the way they looked like a real couple. They ordered butterbeers and laughed at each other's stories and jokes.

"Wow" I commented on the two happy blokes.

"Wow indeed" Malfoy nodded his head.

"Who knew they would make a perfect pair?" I shook my head, smiling.

"It's definitely not the first pair I would have in my mind, definitely. What do you want to do? Do you want butterbeer?"

"Only if your paying" I smirked.

"Of course, I would never let a lady pay on the first date" he waved Madam Rosmerta over.

"Wait what-"

"And what would you two like?" Madam Rosmerta asked.

"Just two butterbeers" Malfoy ordered.

"Right away" Rosmerta scurried clutching her quill and note pad.

In about 2 seconds Madam Rosmerta reappeared holding two large cups of butterbeer in her hands setting it on the table. "And two butterbeers for the lovely couple."

"O-Oh" I said all flustered. "We're not a couple."

"Well you could've fooled me" Madam Rosmerta laughed. "Can I get you anything else?"

"No we're all good here thanks" I said sweetly to Madam Rosmerta.

Malfoy looked amused as he sipped his butterbeer causing me to arch an eyebrow in his direction. "What?"

"Hmm, I'm just thinking" he mused vaguely.

"Please explain."

"Only because you asked so nicely princess" he teased.

"Don't call me princess" I sipped my butterbeer rolling my eyes, irritated.

He completely ignored me and continued to talk. "See even Rosmerta thinks we could be a fantastic couple."

"She never said that Malfoy" I pointed out. "She only said we looked like one, doesn't mean we actually are one."

"And why not?"

"Because I don't want to."

"And why don't you?"

"I don't know, I'm not ready" I threw my arms up in frustration.

"You've never been in a relationship?"

"No- what?!" I sputtered. "I have- wait you seriously don't know" I squinted my eyes.

"Know what?" he asked obliviously.

"Never mind, look at Neville and Blaise they're leaving" I pointed to the boys who were walking out of the Three Broomsticks. "Should we follow them?"

"Of course not, let's just do our own thing" Malfoy got up from the booth.

I looked at him like he was crazy.

"What, it can't be that horrible to spend the day with me."

I rolled my eyes, "fine." Malfoy looked absolutely giddy like a princess.

"So where are we going?" I asked.

"Wherever you want."

"Can we go to Tomes and Scrolls?" I asked excitedly.

"You want to go to a book store?" he lifted an eyebrow amused.

"Of course I do" I teased walking into the store, not waiting for Malfoy to catch up.

"Of course she does" he sighed walking toward the book store.

Third Person POV

He looked around the shop, but the girl was no where to be seen. He walked to the shelves of books, trying to decipher what genre she would read to twiddle it down on where he could find her.

He passed 10 different shelves, but she was in none of them. It wasn't until the 14th row of books that he found her with a stack of five books in her hand.

She tripped until someone caught her. That someone was not Draco Malfoy.

It was Theodore Nott who was caught Adeleine from falling and was helping her pick up the books that she dropped.

Theodore caught Draco's eye and was smirking mischievously at him before returning his attention back to Adeleine who was thanking him.

Adeleine was about to leave to keep browsing for books, but Theodore stopped her, asking if she wanted to hang out. She thought about it for a second, turning and catching Draco's eye and smiling at him softly which made his heart melt.

Draco was still angry at Nott for trying something, but he couldn't be mad at Adeleine no matter how hard he tried. It was terrifying.

Adeleine declined Theo's offer much to his dismay as he muttered a goodbye and walked away. Draco had no idea what Theo had wanted with Adeleine, but he sure was seething.

Adeleine approached Draco with a smile on her face because of all the books she was carrying.

"What did he want?" Draco asked irritated.

"You okay? You seem angry."

"I'm fine" he snarled. "What did he want?"

"He wanted to hang out and I obviously knew he wanted to fuck me so I told him no and then he kept on insisting and then I saw you so I told him I was on a date" she explained. "And he believed me."

"Are we on a date?" he asked quietly.

"No" she chuckled. "Of course not. We're just friends getting books."

"Oh" he murmured.

He was extremely disappointed to say the least. It felt as if his heart had been snapped in two and then put in a paper shredder. It hurt, but he did not show it.

He gave a smirk. "Not yet."

She rolled her eyes, "your insufferable you know that."

"But you love it" he teased playfully.

"Maybe" she bit her lip which he had not anticipated.

His gaze was on her lips as she continued to bite it, taunting him. Her lips were taunting him and she didn't even know it. It was like they were begging to be kissed as she bit them in search of books.

Those plump soft pink lips.

"Is there anything you want to read?" her honey voice asked.

"I haven't done much browsing, no" he answered her.

"Well then you should go find something you like, I'll still be standing here" she smiled softly looking into his grey eyes. "I promise."

"Sure" he smiled softly back at her.

He walked to another aisle, browsing books about quidditch. He found one about the first ever Slytherin seeker and skimmed it.

Skimming had turned into readings and soon he was divulged 30 pages into the book realizing how much they both had in common.

Their childhoods were alike, suffering from abuse and the absence of a father figure, even though Lucius Malfoy was alive he wasn't a very good father. They both had great rivalries with Gryffindor, seeker to seeker.

He almost hadn't noticed Adeleine coming to his aisle, watching him reading the book with interest. She slowly, not making a sound, walked toward him admiring his face contort into features of enjoyment and interest.

Her face softened at the sight of him. He was so beautiful. His features were changing every time he read a different line of the book. She watched exactly how people should react to a good book. It was enthralling.

"You gonna keep staring?" asked Draco not looking up from his page in the book.

"I wasn't staring" she tried to lie. "I was just looking at your book."

"Sure you were" he said with an amused smirk on his lips, still not looking up.

"Whatever you have to tell yourself Malfoy" she said walking towards him and sitting down in the middle of the isle, criss-cross applesauce. "So what are you reading?"

"The First Slytherin Seeker an autobiography" he said turning to the cover so she could get a look.

"Do you like it?"

"Well what do you think? You did spend all that time staring at me."

"One, I wasn't staring and Two, yes I think you like it."

"I do, it's rather interesting to see how alike we both are. Not just in the sense that we are both seekers, but in the more emotional sense. Our childhoods were similar as well" Draco explained.

"That's interesting" she nodded her head truthfully.

"So what about you? What have you got?"

"There is a muggle section of the library, if you didn't know" she started. "And I really do enjoy muggle books ever since I read the one Hermione gave me so I picked one out by another muggle author named Charles Dickinson."

She held the book in her hands, passing it to Malfoy who studied the book closely. Before the war he would have been repulsed by the book because it was from the muggle world, but now he was interested. There was no more pureblood prejudice or anything like that to keep him from doing so of his own free will.

"Great Expectations" he read off the title.

"What's it about?" he asked fairly interested by the book.

"I don't know, I haven't started it yet" she shrugged proceeding to open the book and start reading the first page.

"Well then looks like you should get started" he said turned back to his book.

They sat in a comfortable silence as they read their own books, sitting next to each other in the row.

She hadn't even realized, but as she leaned back onto the book shelves her back had begun to ache. Unknowingly to herself she had shifted her position and was now leaning on Draco.

Draco noticed this, not saying anything because he didn't want to pry her attention away from the book. He side eyed her with a small smile as she giggled at something the book had said.

She was perfect in every aspect and he was amazed by her presence.
