Kim Possible: Vamped

Dr. Director stood in front of the emergency session of the Ruling Council, which only numbered three just then. Still, she remained remarkably cool as she eyed the obviously anxious men and one woman that seemed to be incredibly jumpy.
Not one of them seemed as cool or confident as she recalled, and all of them seemed to start at the slightest sound around them. Kimberly's campaign was obviously taking a toll on them even if they had not been completely purged.
Six members of the Council had vanished without a trace, and without any real scene of any crime left. They just disappeared. Rumors were claiming that whole fortunes had vanished with them, and even Senior, Sr. was said to be scrambling to avoid creditors of late as he seemed to have been caught short and was suddenly a lot less solvent than the billionaire had once presented himself.
Dr. Director knew the cause.
The steady flow of hard data from misdoings and outright crimes had all three before her guilty of capital crimes against humanity, but she already knew no one would arrest them. Even with their power base and fortunes crumbling away beneath them, they still had a lot of protection from those that would sink with them if they were exposed.
That and Dr. Director knew Kimberly wanted the entire Council. She wanted every last one of those that attacked her and her friends and unlikely child. From all she had put together, too, she suspected Kimberly had an unappreciated bond with the fallen Miss Robinson, and that had to have set her off as much as any disrespect aimed at her new incarnation.
Either way, Lady Kimbera was out for blood, figuratively, and perhaps literally.
She had pointedly spoken to Kimberly, and to her credit, she had claimed she had killed no one and wasn't planning on it. Unless someone attacked her first.
That still left six missing Council members. Not to mention a missing felon that vanished from her detainment, along with four alleged assassins. The little she could get out of Kimberly was that she had no idea where any of them were. That would be all she would say beyond saying she had killed no one.
Yet.
That last had been aimed at the toady for the hysterical Council members that had come along with her for questioning Kim.
Nor would she let them see her lab, saying only she would reveal her work only when it was time. She wouldn't even give a clue, but the twins were known to be coming and going quite regularly, and that worried certain people as much as the fact Kim Possible was apparently beyond anyone's control just then.
"I'm not sure why you called me here, today. I've been investigating the rumors, and found nothing credible to link Kim Possible to any of these events. Even Shego admits she all but barricades herself in her lab of late, and doesn't come out except to eat, or search for new parts she might need for whatever she is doing."
"Nonsense. We know she's involved. Somehow, she's attacking us, and…."
"Why would Kim Possible attack you," Dr. Director asked as if genuinely confused as she eyed the two men and the woman she had once respected before she learned the truth.
"She…. She…. She just is," the aging woman croaked. "We order you to go stop her. Stake her, or whatever you do to that kind. Just make her stop."
"Madame Athol, as I said, we don't know she is doing anything. I have had Stoppable and several very good agents watching, and Kimberly hasn't been doing anything against the law."
"Damn the law," Robert Smythe bellowed, the stocky Brit close to breaking down. "Just get her before she can get us!"
"You do recall we uphold the law on an international front, sir. We are not….vigilantes."
"You know," Zia Athol said quietly, and slowly lifted a small semiautomatic. "You know, and you sent her for us. Didn't you, Elizabeth," she demanded. "This is your revenge!"
"Ms. Athol, I don't know…."
The woman howled as it seemed her pistol just vanished, and then Kim was standing there behind them, the weapon dangling from one pale finger as she smirked at the three that fell back from their chairs, looking ready to flee.
"You are right of course. Only the revenge is mine," Kim said coldly as the two men bolted for the door only to find it locked.
They pounded furiously, but no one answered. No one came to help.
"S-Stop her," Zia cried, shrinking from the redhead as Kim stared down at her with fully crimson orbs and bared fangs as she smiled a horrific grin.
"Stop me," Kim snorted. "You silly mortal creature," Kim said, and slowly set the pistol down on a nearby table. "You couldn't stop one like me if you had a true army between us. I am as beyond you, as you have long imagined yourself beyond any around you. Only I truly have the power now, and it's ironically all thanks to you," Kim declared.
"What… What do you mean," the aging woman asked.
"I ask the questions. Here and now, you rodents listen, too," she called to the men who had ended up with their backs to the door sealed by Shego and Dana so no one would interfere. "Do you wish to die here and now, or later?"
"Later," Zia cried.
"Predictable," Kim sighed. Then looked toward the men.
"You cannot get away with this," Robert swore. "You have to know…."
"Know," she snarled, and a huge, transcendent and fully revealed Lady Kimbera stood before them, glowering viciously. "I know you are vermin, and suitable for nothing but scraping from my heels," she snarled. "Now answer," she barked.
Robert Smythe, the junior member of the council, passed out cold.
The other man just swallowed, and asked, "What do you want?"
"Your heart. In my hand. Slowly dying as I devour it in delicate bites," Kim said far too eagerly for the man to doubt her.
"What… What else," he choked.
"An answer. Live or die? Do you wish to die now? Or later?"
"Later. I'm not ready…."
"Neither was I," Kim spat. "Neither were my friends. Still, for the woman I was, and for the memory of those that trusted me, I give you this single boon. You will not die today, or by my hand," she said, and fire the small, white pistol that made the two men seem to evaporate.
"You… You killed them," the woman left cried as she shrank back from Kim as the giant, winged demon turned to eye her as she took aim on her now.
"Oh, no. I spared them. As I now spare you," Kim smiled thinly and fired again.
"What did you do," Dr. Director asked, never having moved from where she stood.
Kim returned to normal, or what passed as normal of late, and smiled blandly.
"Just know they are alive, and their fates are truly in their own hands. Yet I did not kill them. I did not harm them. Just as they will never again harm anyone else. Still, you have a hard job ahead of you, Elizabeth. The vacuum created here will demand filling soon enough. Best you watch more carefully if you wish to avoid repeating your own mistakes," Kim said and headed for the door that opened readily at her touch.
"And what do I say…?"
"Say what you have. I was never here," Kim smiled. "And I never hurt anyone. Just as I never killed a single person. Do understand one thing," she said as she looked back at the head of GJ just before leaving.
"Yes?"
"Remind them I am no one's dupe," Kim spat and closed the door behind her as she left.
Dr. Director said nothing as she glanced around, gave Kim another minute, and lifted her radio. "Agent Du?"
"Standing by, Dr. Director."
"Agent Du, did you get the location right? The Council was meeting me here today?"
"That was the message, ma'am," he reported, still standing by in their VTOL outside the private residence where the three had retreated for mutual safety.
"Then something happened. No one is here, and I can't find any indication they were ever here."
"Interesting," Will remarked. "Shall I call in a team to investigate," he asked blandly as ever.
"Do that, Agent Du. At once. We can only hope we'll find some lead this time."
Naturally, no one saw anything. The security system was down, and the manor's security were all in the wrong place at the wrong time to see anything. A surreptitious check suggested that if anything had been held in the safe found in a hidden panel it was empty now.
None of which surprised her.

Kim sat with Shego and Dana in the living room of her home and looked deflated.
"Mom?"
"Kimmie?"
"We are avenged," she said.
"We know, Princess. We were there."
"I have a final decision."
"We're not leaving already," Dana asked quietly.
"Not yet. Not without cause. For now, that cause has been undermined," Kim smiled at her. "You and Amy are both safe."
"So, what's on your mind," Shego asked pointedly.
"Wait here," she said, and walked to her room, and returned to set a small, plain urn on the coffee table before them.
"Kimmie," Shego frowned.
"That's Monique, isn't it," Dana asked in a soft voice.
"All that's left of her," Kim said.
"You said you couldn't raise her," Shego said.
"I couldn't. Only Heras came to see me a while back."
"Heras," Shego frowned.
"One of the Elders. She was surprisingly discreet, but she proved she is still watching us."
"Uncool," Dana grimaced.
"She gave me something….special. She said this…. She said it would raise Monique as a true vampire. Not a leech. She would be….like you," Kim told Dana as she held up a blue vial. "The question is….should I," Kim asked.
"Yes," Dana cried.
Shego said nothing as she only eyed Kim.
"I just don't know. Do I have the right? Am I being selfish? Would she even want this life? If I'm wrong… I don't want to have to… What if she wants to….die again," Kim choked.
"Mom," Dana said. "Amy came to see us because she was afraid of losing me based on what little she figured out. She came, and she faced you, and she begged to be one of us just to stay with me."
"She what," Shego gaped, not having heard that part.
"Later," Kim waved at her. "I know all that," she turned back to Dana. Only Monique…."
"Knew more than Amy, and still stayed and cared for you. She loved you enough to stand there when you flared up and showed her just how different you were now. She stayed and tried to show you how much she cared in spite of all the issues you two had now. She loved you, mom. Even Shego saw that didn't you," Dana demanded of her.
"Isn't this really her choice, Kimberly," Shego nodded. "So, how about you give her the chance to make it? She might surprise you."
"But she couldn't be….Monique any longer. She'd have to hide the truth from everyone. She…."
"Like you do? How many outside your own family knows the whole truth," Shego asked. "I know you, Princess. I think I still know you. If there is a chance, don't you think you should take it? For both of your sakes," the comet-powered woman asked quietly.
"It would mean another vampire living in the house," Kim smiled faintly now, crimson tears brimming in her eyes.
"Do it, mom. You deserve to be happy, too," Dana told her.
Kim looked down, eyes closed, and just sat there in silence for a moment. Then she reached into the urn after removing the top and held up the small vial of a blue liquid.
"What is that stuff," Shego asked.
"What she said," Dana remarked.
"Essence of dragon heart. The real source of immortality," she said, "And which you can never mention to anyone ever without serious repercussions," Kim added as an afterthought.
"So, the proverbial fountain of youth," Shego murmured.
"Pretty much. My blood," she said, opening the vial to hold out as she bit one finger, and set it to bleeding dark drops she let fall into the tube. "My blood raises her to new life, but the essence will purify her corrupted mind and flesh, and give her true life in our image. This is the secret preternaturals refused to give men centuries ago after they proved unworthy. This is why they kill us. Because we would not give them immortal lives."
"Yeah, I can see that one," Shego said quietly. "So, how does it work," she asked even as Kim took the urn in her free hand, dumped it out on the carpet, and then poured the now dark serum into the pile that held all their gazes.
Kim stood back, watching the wisps of vapor rise as something was heating up, and then a humanoid arm shot out, and another, and a body seemed to grow up and out of that mound of pale ashes even as dark eyes formed and blinked, and those arms batted at the world around her, and dark lips opened to scream just before Kim seized the arms, and stared into those dark eyes.
"Calm down," she said, forcing her will into the mind of the suddenly whole and healthy woman before her where once only a pile of lifeless ash had been. "Calm down, Moni, you're safe."
Monique was making tiny squeaks, looking around wildly, and then focused on Kim.
"Kim? Kim? Oh, God, Kim," she cried, and flung herself at her, and clung to her without caring she was standing there naked. "I thought I was dead. I thought… Did you save me," she asked.
"It's a long story," Kim smiled, "And we have to talk. Dana, Shego. We'll be in my room," she said, and guided the still shaken woman down the hall to her room.
"Now," Shego murmured, "I can say I've seen everything," she declared.
Dana smiled, and looked at her after glancing after her unlikely parent, and remarked, "Ah, give mom a few more days. She's bound to shock you again."
Shego didn't say a word to that one.
