Request from TMayBe: WOW! Everything is just sooo good! I finished it all in one night! Please keep writing! I'm also really obsessed with those three! 3
Can you please write about what happened after Daisy's was experimented on by Malick? Coulson's reaction.
She remembered bits and pieces of the ordeal; the needles that pierced her skin, the shard of glass Sousa had dug out of her hand, a glimpse of the ceiling caving in, but most of all she remembered the pain. The pain that had pierced her body, embedded in her skin, and caused her to collapse.
"We're going home Agent Johnson, we're going home." Home. They had made it home, well not their OG timeline home, but as close to home as they could get.
She remembered the pain, but she didn't actually feel the pain at the moment. Daisy questioned why that was before slowly forcing her eyes open. The bright lights blinded her for a second before she was able to take in her surroundings. She nearly panicked when she found herself in a glass tube, but immediately calmed at the sight of Simmons and May. May turned towards her and let out a relieved sigh.
"Daisy!" Both her and Jemma exclaimed, then walked over to open the healing chamber. They wore identical looks of worry on their faces.
"What time period are we in now?" Daisy asked as she slowly swung her legs over the side of the chamber and sat up.
"Careful! Try not to tear your stitches." Jemma chastised as she helped her best friend. Daisy just rolled her eyes stubbornly stating that she was fine.
"Where's Coulson?"
"He's okay. I'll let him know you're up." May told the girl, sharing a smile with her before exiting the room to get Phil. Simmons checked over Daisy, much to Daisy's dismay.
"I'd really prefer it if you didn't stand so much. You really ought to be resting, which means sitting." Jemma pulled Daisy into a short hug. "It's good to see you doing better though."
Coulson knocked on the door and let out a sigh of relief at the sight of Daisy.
"I'll leave you two to chat, but if you start feeling dizzy or unwell get back into the chamber." Jemma left the room after making sure Daisy would follow orders.
"I see you're human again." Daisy smirked, looking towards Coulson.
"Not so sure about that, but I'm not trapped in a TV so that's an improvement." He chuckled, but his features changed as he looked at Daisy.
"I knew you'd come out alive, but I was really worried about you." He admitted and pulled her into a hug.
"I'm fine, A.C. I promise. He didn't break me."
"No, but he could've killed you." Coulson looked at Daisy and his heart swelled with pride. His girl had gone through so much, but she always managed to pull through and he couldn't be more proud.
"Sousa saved me, you know?" A small blush crept onto the girl's cheeks.
"I know, May told me. Sousa also told me how much of a fighter you were. He was very impressed and worried about you." Daisy's blush deepened and Coulson wore a knowing smile, but didn't say anything.
"You know what Malick said?" Daisy said, changing the subject. "Discovery requires experimentation."
"Whitehall." Coulson growled. The pair sat in silence for a few moments, deep in thought. Coulson was seething at the thought of Malick laying a finger on his daughter. He clutched his fists and was glaring at the wall as he was deep in thought of what he'd do if he ever saw Nathaniel Malick or Daniel Whitehall again.
"Coulson," Daisy said, alarmed at the look of anger on his face, "It's okay. Seriously, chill out."
"No, Daisy, it's not okay." He sighed and looked at her slightly frightened expression. "Dais', I think it's no secret that I see you as my daughter, and I hate seeing you like that. It's not okay. We came too close to losing you."
Daisy looked down with tears in her eyes. She knew what she was to him, she had called him Dad after all, but it was still powerful to hear it said out loud.
"Daisy, he will pay for what he did...and I'm sorry I couldn't protect you more."
"No, don't do that. It wasn't your fault. You always tell me not to blame myself, so the same applies to you." She protested and crossed her arms. Coulson smiled, but agreed to disagree.
"Seriously, dad. Stop blaming yourself, it turned out okay."
Finally, he pulled her into a hug and placed a kiss on the top of her head. This girl had broken her bones, fought, and endured so much pain in the short seven years he knew her. He looked down at the girl before him and once again was filled with so much pride.
"You should get some rest before Simmons comes in and demands it." Cousin suggested, and surprisingly Daisy agreed.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. I'm glad you're here. I missed you."
"I missed you too, kid."
Daisy smiled at him and climbed back into the healing chamber.
"Get some rest, I'll see you later." Coulson began walking out, but was stopped by her voice.
"A.C.? I really am okay. Malick won't take me down." She said before her eyes slipped shut. He smiled at Daisy, the girl he saw as his daughter.
"That's my girl." He whispered before exiting the room. Daisy smiled as she drifted off to sleep. Yeah, she thought, it's good to be home.
