Defend

Kagome Higurashi prided herself on two things: her intelligence and her compassion. Her smarts had gotten her through grueling semesters at Tokyo University and her compassion had earned her true and honest friends and family. Generally, she balanced the two traits so as to not over power one over the other. Today though, as she stared down at the letter in her hands, she seethed.

Her hands shook with her rage, her purity snapping around her like electric current. In her hands was a prettily worded, thinly veiled threat. To her family, her home, her job, to Shippou! Everything inside of her screamed for retribution and without thinking, Kagome threw the mug in her hand at the wall. Only barely satisfied with the sound of the shattering ceramic and the tinkling of the pieces as they fell to the floor, she crumbled the letter and dropped it into the trashcan.

"I'll show him," she muttered as she marched over to her computer and pulled up her email. "He doesn't know who he's messing with!"

Furiously, she typed and researched and type and researched, gathering the information she would need, arming herself to the teeth with everything she would need to defend herself, her family, her soon-to-be son. Sesshoumaru Tashio and his sniveling little assistant Jaken something-or-other would regret the day they ever tried to take revenge on Kagome Higurashi and what was hers.
