Chapter 37
Will's point of view
After thirty minutes, we reached our destination at 8:25pm in the evening. I escorted Louisa into a grand white building where the concert was about to take place roughly after five minutes. There were many people entering into the event like us. We slowly waded our way through the crowd until we found ourselves standing on a red carpet covering the middle portion of the concert hall.
Louisa's eyes grew wide. All she could do was look around the hall; gaping at the guys and girls with flutes and pianos in formal dresses. There was a golden colored chandelier hanging from the central part of the ceiling. She probably had no idea that I would bring her here.
"So this is your way of getting back at me for putting you through a horrible horse-racing competition," she questioned; her eyes sweeping up and down me in a way that implied that she had some inkling that I was capable of pulling off such stunts.
"You are not mad at me?" I asked; turning my head around to look at her properly.
"On the contrary, I am quite impressed that you had the nerve to bring me here, " she answered; her lips twitched in a sweet smile.
"What are we waiting for?" she inquired; her eyes swimming with clear wonder.
"Let's go and sit over there, " I suggested; pointing towards the array of seats in the first column of the second row.
We found ourselves seated comfortably where we had a coherent view of the musicians who were getting ready to start the show. As for me, I was quite astonished that Louisa's face did not show any kind of displeasure or annoyance for bringing her here. There was some sort of sickeningly sweet goofiness plastered across her face. Her blue bold eyes looked straight ahead; 100% willing to give this show a chance.
