Planet 76, Mori
Rimor / Percy's pov
Rimor teleported in front of his house. He had gotten better at using the compass teleporter to appear in a specific location. Appearing in front of a crowd wearing the cloak won't be the best idea. He removed his cloak and stuffed it inside the backpack and entered his house. Even after a year, it didn't quite feel like home. In fact, no planet that he has ever stayed on has ever felt like home and he had visited two other planets in the span of last year.
The first planet he visited was Si nuple. The name itself was out of the ordinary so, he was excited to explore it more. When he got there, the first thing he had noticed the pink sky and blue sand on the ground. Their capital, Valeha was a large urban city. Their main principle was peace. They were friendly to all tourists, the people there were... different. They had almost scaly skin, no one kept their hair long and the gender there was neutral. To up it plainly, they were neither female nor male. They were something in between. They were amazing fighters,
their skin is almost impenetrable. They excelled in martial arts and meditation.
The interesting thing about them was that after they turned sixteen, many of them went into a meditative reprieve to find their purpose and unlock their gift. This gift was present in each of them, different for all but only a few ever manage to unlock it. The Leaders of the planet were elders who had unlocked the gift. He had formed good relations with most of them. His time there really helped him control his emotions and use his powers more precisely.
The second planet he got to was dreary, to say the least. It was named Neucra. The people here were excessively pale, perhaps paler than Hades, and were almost always sleepy. That could have to do with the fact that it a night for twenty hours and the rest four hours only were day. Looking back Rimor did not get what had possessed him to go to that planet. Oh, yes. He wanted to battle the Nightshades. Nightshades were dark creatures full of evil, they fed on human souls and turned them dark. They were also were very powerful at night which meant most of the time on that planet. Rimor wanted to test his fire abilities on them. He ended up staying there for five months and defeated many nightshades behind the backs of the villagers living there. Behind their backs, because 1. he did not want anyone to know of his powers over fire and 2. he just did not need them praising him and making their gratitude known all the time. They were grateful that someone was killing the nightshades but did not know who it was. That is just as he liked it.
Something he had noticed about the other planets in the universe was that most of the planets were very small in size. It was that that made it possible for them to let only one monarch or government rule the entire planet. Earth is comparably a much larger planet than most of them. It's how that there are so many pantheons of deities running around the planet only crossing paths seldom. Asia itself can be compared to the size of a planet and there is a forty percent chance that Asia is larger than the planet.
He thought about these things as he twirled the teardrop gem in his hand. 'RINNGGG' 'RIINNNG' Rimor snapped out of his thoughts and stopped the incessant ringing of the alarm clock. Chaos! I am going to be late.
He raced to his forge in the basement which he constructed a while after purchasing the house. An elegant chain mixed with silver, white imperial gold, and tantalum metals sat on the counter with a pendant holder in the middle perfect for holding the teardrop gem. He quickly fixed the gem in place, kept it safely in the pocket of his backpack along with the other gifts.
He grabbed his compass teleporter, his thumb hovering over the button but not quite touching. He took a deep breath and reassured himself silently that it'll be fine. But what if it's not. What if they have already forgotten about me? What if my appearance will only disrupt their lives? Should I even be doing this?
He shook his mind out of the 'What ifs' and pressed the teleport button. One disorienting teleportation later he observed that he was in another alley of the very city he had escaped three years ago although it was only a single year on Earth due to the time differences between the planets. He observed his Morian appearance through his reflection in the puddle and snapped his fingers. The mortals would be freaked out that seeing his alien appearance and draw attention he did not want.
His complexion turned pale; his hair did not change but his eyes turned dark brown. He shouldered his backpack and swiftly moved out of the alley. He walked without making a noise, it seemed New York was the same as last year. The city was bustling even at night under the starry skies. He gazed at the stars wistfully and whispered under his breath, "Bob says hello."
He wiped a small tear forming in his eye and observed the new buildings. The city was lit up in celebration. Every other person he passed gave him a funny look. It must be because they are all wearing wool jackets, sweaters, and scarves to keep them warm while he was in a simple t-shirt and jeans. Something that stood out among the newly constructed buildings was a cylindrical white tower with a 'Stark' sign on it. Huh, must be a new establishment.
He continued walking and soon stood in front of the familiar apartment door that he hadn't seen for three years. Well, three years for him. He clenched his hand into a ball for it to stop shaking. There were so many bad memories in this city that haunt him but this was the place where he had always found refuge with his caring mother. Yet he didn't even give her goodbye when he left this planet altogether.
Guilt flowed through him but he pushed it down and knocked twice on the wooden door. After a few minutes, the door swung open. Sounds of chatter and a baby cooing could be heard from inside. A woman in her mid-thirties had opened the door, she had greying brown hair and soft blue eyes. "Can I help you?" she asked kindly.
"I uh can I come inside?" he internally cursed himself, why would she let him in when he looked like a stranger when her eyes became guarded. "I came to talk about you son, Percy Jackson. You are Sally Blofis-Jackson correct?"
Some of her cautions faded into concern," Yes, that is my name. I am sorry to say that my son has been missing for around a year now. Why have you seen him?" she asked hopefully and beckoned him inside. He swallowed his nervousness and stepped inside and closed the door behind him.
He snapped his fingers and his appearance went back to its original form that he had since birth. His mother gasped; her eyes filled with tears as she stepped towards him. "Hey mom," he smiled weakly.
Her hand inched closer to his face as examined him in disbelief. "Percy, is it really you?"
He nodded not able to say much else. The next thing he knew, she had wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug. He was slightly taller than her even though he was made partially immortal at seventeen. "Sally, who was at the door?" came the voice of his stepfather as he stepped into the light holding a wrapped gift in his hands.
Paul's eyes soon found him, his eyes went wide and he dropped the present he was holding in shock. "Hey, Paul. Long-time no see," Percy said casually.
Hearing her husband's voice, his mother pulled away from him and smacked his head, anger burning in her eyes. "Perseus Jackson, how could leave for an entire year without any contact. Do you know how worried I was and the first half of the months, the gods said that you were a traitor but I knew better than to believe them. I thought you were dead, DEAD," she ranted.
"I'm so sorry mom. I didn't think about how long I was gone. I just had to wait until the gods stopped looking for me so I could come to visit," he interrupted. Paul just looked between the two of them in disbelief and confusion, "H-how he-he wh-HUH?"
Percy then led them over to the couch and explained why he ran away the year before and where he had been for the last year, well last three years for him. Earth time is slower than most. He explained everything as vaguely as he could as to not overwhelm them too much. They asked questions until they felt satisfied, all the while, his mother's eyes never left as if he could disappear if she looked away for a minute.
Paul then got up and left. He came later with a bundle of blankets in his arms. When he looked closer, he saw the tiny body of a cute baby girl. His sister. He mentally cursed, how could I have forgotten. Mom was pregnant with Paul's child when I left.
The baby girl had pale skin, soft brown hair, and chocolate brown eyes. Percy immediately felt a surge of protectiveness towards his sister. He knew that he would obliterate anyone who tried to hurt her and that he would absolutely anything she asked for. "Her name is Estelle Blofis," my mother said softly, smiling at them.
"Would you like to hold her?" Paul asked.
Percy nodded and gently cradled his tiny sister in his arms. Suddenly her eyes opened and she started wailing and flailing her arms around. His mom and Paul went to the kitchen to prepare a bottle of milk while he calmed Estelle down. "Hey sis, it's okay. You'll get food uh milk soon," he cooed as rocked her back and forth until she calmed down. She looked up curiously from underneath her lashes. She reached a tiny baby hand towards him and he gently grabbed it. "Hello Estelle, I'm your big brother Percy."
She broke out in a grin and babbled something in her own baby language. It was a shame the blessing to know all languages did not work for baby languages.
Half an hour later, they heard knocking on the door. Percy was about to keep his sister aside to open the door but his mom beat him to it. "I'll get it," she glared at Percy with narrowed eyes and ordered, "You are going stay right there mister. You are not leaving this house again without telling me for long periods again. Got it?"
Percy shivered under her glare and meekly nodded. She went to check the door while he played with his baby sister. He could vaguely hear voices coming from the entrance. He ignored them and made faces at his sister while she giggled. Just then his mother came into the room with a guilty look on her face followed by two others.
Percy froze in place staring at them with wide eyes like a deer caught in headlights.
"YOU!"
