Ginny stepped into the club, the lights strobbing around her, reflecting off the black leather jacket she was wearing. She paused looking around. Her brown eyes searched the dance floor, the small seating area just off of it.

Finally she focused on the bar. She crossed the room, her black leather boots clicking against the floor. She ignored the looks she was getting, ignored the catcalls coming from several young men. She only had eyes for one, and she was getting closer to finding him.

"You haven't been easy to track down," she stated, sliding onto a stool. The man next to her turned to face her. He looked more than a little worse for wear. His hair was shaggier, his face thinner than she remembered, but just looking in his eyes made her heart flutter. He'd been one of the best agents before everything had gone sideways in the worst way.

"But somehow you managed it," he muttered, looking at her. She tilted her head, giving him a slight smile.

"I did, didn't I? Look, just come home, Sirius," she begged, looking at him. He turned his gaze from her.

"I can't. Lily and James are dead. They think I did it. It's my fault, isn't it? I mean, I should have been the agent in charge of the safe house. They think I was, they think I got them killed."

"But you know you didn't," Ginny argued.

"They think I killed Peter."

"He's not dead, wish he was, it'd make everything easier later, but no, he's not dead, not yet anyway. That might change once I get my hands on him," Ginny muttered, noticing the barkeeper was starting to notice them.

"They're going to lock me up, Red. I can't..." Sirius said, taking a quick drink from the drink in front of him. It was pink with a little umbrella and fruit slice on a cocktail pick. Ginny rolled her eyes.

"Remus is looking for you too, you know that?" she asked, changing the subject slightly.

"And yet, you're the one sitting here having this conversation with me? I know Moony would have found me first. He sent you in, didn't he? He's the best tracker the agencies ever seen. I know you didn't find me first, Red."

"Maybe. Look, we're worried about you, we both love you and it's not your fault that rat did what he did," Ginny answered, ordering a shot, she downed it, pretending she didn't enjoy the burn of the alcohol on her throat.

"It's my fault! I convinced James to change at the last minute! It should have been me being tortured for the information. I never would have... I'd never have betrayed them, Red."

"I know, Sirius," Ginny whispered, putting a hand on Sirius' shoulder. "Come back with me, we can make the ministry see the truth. Besides, there's one more person who know the truth, who know exactly who James and Lily trusted with their location," Ginny stated, nodding to the barkeeper. He placed another shot in front of her and she downed it quickly.

"Who?" Sirius asked, giving her a puzzled look. Ginny smirked at how adorable he looked when he was clueless.

"Think about it Sirius, I mean, I know that isn't one of your strongest suits sometimes," Ginny teased. Sirius glared at her, but she saw the look on his face when he realized.

"Dumbledore. He's the one who set up the whole thing. He was their handler."

"Exactly. He knows it was Peter who betrayed them, it was him who urged them not to use you. I mean, I know you think you told James to use Peter, but who gave you that suggestion? I know it was Dumbledore. Think about that for a moment, he didn't want James to use his best friend? He said it was too obvious, he apparently doubted your loyalty. I never would have made that mistake."

"I'll kill him, they trusted him!" Sirius howled, jumping from the stool. Ginny rose to her feet also.

"Good, let's go then. Moony's waiting with the car. Be a bit too hard to fit all of us on your motorbike," she added, taking Sirius' hand. He nodded, squeezing her fingers in his.

"Let's go avenge our friends, clear my name, and get my godson back from where ever that bumbling fool put him. After that, I don't know. Maybe take down the whole department?"

"Now that's the Sirius I know and love," Ginny stated, giving him a quick kiss before they stormed from the dance club, a new sense of purpose in their hearts.
