Chapter 37: A Snow Day
"Look, it's fine, alright," Spyro stepped in as to stop the two, "Enough is going on today as it is. Kettu, Xvar, you two have my backing, I can promise you that, and while you two are off helping out some others if needed, I will handle my father. This will also help us test out that, 'thing' remember?" The two sighed before nodding, and with their nods, they disappeared into a cloud of smoke, "Now we don't need to worry about anything else today aside from what Flair wishes to do. Once that's been decided, we can go out, or we won't, but we will still have fun either way," Faced to Flair, she knew he would've looked to him at some point, "So, Flair, I have to ask," Since things had calmed down now, the Guardians all backed down from their females and allowed them to breathe comfortably, "Do you know what you wish to do today?"
Thinking about what her decision would be, Flair had to make sure things were going better then what today had brought her, Ever since I came back out of my room, nothing has seemed to have taken a turn for the worst. The guys were messing around, Cyril looks like he's taken what's happened just as bad as I did... or rather... he very much is. Kettu and Xvar could've done something, but the same went for the Dark Master, and so far... nothing's happened... So either, I'm going to die tonight, or something else will happen later on during the day. With what the day has already done to her, the feeling of nausea hit her as she seemed far too worn out to do anything else for the remainder of the day, "Then... if it isn't going to be an issue with you all, I'd like to just stay home. I've shed enough tears today that I'm just... entirely too tired to do anything else aside from sleeping."
"I can easily help with that, Flair," Ersa wished she could be of use, "I can also help with some of that anxiety you might be feeling for the fears of doing something else today. I even have a special bubble gum flavor that tastes amazing, so you won't have to worry for a terrible after taste or side effects," Her words made Flair think twice on it, but to insure she didn't do something she didn't want to do, she didn't push it, "But I don't want you to feel forced to have fun. We all already saw how much fun we can have when you're around, so if you need rest, we completely understand."
It was reassuring to her to hear not only from Ersa, but also past words from Spyro for, what ever she were to choose, it wouldn't matter to anyone either way. While those in the Chambers faced her, Flair herself faced to Cyril, wishing to see what his reaction would be on the situation. Not knowing what was going through her mind at this point, all Cyril could do for now was smile. His smile made her calm, though it wasn't a surprise for her to feel this way. Damn this dragon... Damn his smile, the way he talks, the way he moves... everything about him just damns me to more thoughts about him. These thoughts helped bring up what she wished to do, which was unfortunate for her, "Okay... fine..." She didn't wish to look directly to Cyril as she said this and simply looked to the others, "If... I had to truly choose what I wanted to do today... I'd have to choose... the cold day..."
"Hehe, damn. Looks like I lost the bet, Cyril," Volteer chuckled to his friend.
"I'm sorry, what do you mean, 'Bet'?" Flair showed her teeth, going from calm to aggressive in a matter of seconds.
"Oh! No no no, it's nothing bad! Me and Cyril made a bet. I believed you would choose the warm day, whereas Cyril believed you would choose the cold day. And... it looks like he was right."
Flair didn't like to hear that he had agreed with Cyril about something, and even though he smiled to her, she didn't smile back, "You know what, never mind. I think I'm going to choose to stay home now."
"What?" Cyril murmured, "Flair, the only reason me and Volteer had that bet was just to get my mind from thinking too heavily about my failures."
"And what exactly does the winner get?"
"Hehe, well, for Volteer, what do you think that dragon wants? Ersa was of course his reward."
"I didn't agree to that," Ersa was shocked to hear.
"I'm sure you would about two licks in," Volteer snickered, forcing a blush and growl from Ersa.
"VOLTEER!" Everyone yelled to him, especially Flair, and she followed up by continuing her fight against Cyril, "So then I'm assuming I'm your reward then? And if that's the case... I guess I should just lay to my back and accept what you're to do to me, correct?"
"Uhhhhhhh... are you... being serious?" Cyril chuckled nervously.
"NO!" Flair shouted, "You try ANYTHING sexual against me, and I'll be sure it's your last! You wish to be a father one day, don't you? And if that's the case, then you better keep your parts to yourself!"
"I mean, he has to," Malefor smiled as he was ready to make a joke, "His parts hold him together, like his blood, bones, scales..."
His mouth was slapped shut as something covered his mouth. To his left, he noticed Carith dripping sweat with her paw reached up and over his mouth. Looked to his right, he noticed fire showing to Flair's mouth and nose. To avoid being attacked himself, Cyril had to raise his wing some over her back as she tried to hold herself back from fully sharpening her fins. To prevent a fight, Ersa wished to step in and keep things going, "Okay, well, then I guess we should go and get things started," Her steps to block Flair's view from Malefor helped ease her, "Volteer, I hope it's okay if I have your assistance as well?"
"NO!" Some blurted out which confused the others, but Malefor elaborated since Carith's paw now no longer covered his mouth, "'You need a white substance for your red snow'? Yeah, no, he's not going back in there to help."
"Guys! That was a joke!"
"Wait! Red snow... white from Volteer... DOES THE RED MEAN...?!"
"Wrong color, but close," Ignitus saw where he was going.
"Volteer, just... go help Ersa," Spyro growled as he rubbed two fingers between his eyes, "Let's just take it as a joke and move on."
"I'm scared for the brownie now..." Malefor shivered.
"There is literally nothing you could do to sexualize a brownie," After just that sentence alone, Spyro had to take two, not even noticing Volteer and Ersa leaving the Chambers, "Did I really just say that...? Holy shit... Dude, I don't think anyone has ever said that in their entire lives. Like, I think I'm the first being in existence to say something so... stupid... And I should die for it."
"I can make that happen."
"You're a plague to society. Your stupidity infects each and everyone one of us day by day. Which, now that I'm thinking about it, is that your plan? Make us all stupid, and in the process, kill all of our brain cells so we'll have no way to fight back at the end of the day?"
"Maybe that's why Volteer and Ersa left so quickly, because they value having a brain," Terrador pointed out.
"Or they're going to bang," Malefor suggested otherwise.
"It's rather unfortunate to know that's a possibility," Ignitus sighed.
"So then you're against a male mating with their female, Ignitus?" Claire questioned him outright which surprised him, "Okay. I'll keep that in mind."
"Wait! I... what just happened?"
"Do you need a saddle when you ride your dragon, Claire?" Malefor laughed.
"I better not have to do all the work."
"Wait!" Ignitus was blushing entirely too hard.
"I wouldn't mind either way with you, Terrador," Trish now felt a little flirty with Terrador.
"Oh?" Terrador purred, "So I can just lay to my back while you do all the work?"
"And yet my legs will still work better then yours the next day."
"Hold! On!" Ignitus once again tried to get things to calm down for only seconds.
"Speaking of holding on," Malefor faced to Carith as he joined in by teasing the female he was with, "If you head up to our room, my love, I'll give you something to hold on to, if you know what I mean?"
"After all this teasing, I might squish it, what ever it is," Carith growled back to him.
"I'm sure I could handle a little squeeze," He purred.
"Oh just kill me then," Ignitus sighed as no one was paying any attention to him.
"I mean... I don't wish to take your life, but I could take something else from you," Claire purred as she rubbed her body against Ignitus, only causing his face to burn hotter then his fire.
"You know, all this talk about mates and what not makes me wonder about me and you, Cynder," Spyro smiled as he nonchalantly said it out and in the open without looking at her.
"What?!" Cynder cried, feeling as though her heart had just skipped a beat, but she was quick to get back to herself and giggle, trying to play it off as though she heard him wrong, "Hehe, okay, nice one, my love, you got me. But you meant to say all this talk about love... right... hehe... right?"
"I don't know. After you held me against the wall and made out with me, makes me see just how amazing of a mate you could be," To hear it strictly from Spyro, and on top of the fact that he still stayed to his darkened purple form to give him that body build, to give him that voice, and to give that show of a manly nature, Cynder's heart raced with hope that she wasn't being lied to, "Wow. It's crazy now that I'm thinking about it; what are life could be in the future if what I was saying happened... huh... guess we may never know though."
Cynder couldn't say it out loud, but her thoughts proved more then enough as help, I... will... have you! Cyril chuckled to see all the teasing that was going on between everyone in the Chambers. Wanting to take a risk, he faced to his right to look Flair in the eyes. However, just as his eyes connected to hers, so did her tail blade to his neck. All plans he now had faded, and just to add onto his fears and sweat drops, Flair warned him in a growl, "You try any of this mushy shit, and I really will take your life on the way out. My day has already been shitty enough as it is, so don't think I will have a second thought on whether or not I should kill you."
"I know how bad this day has been for you, Flair... I was there... And experienced it all with you..." Cyril murmured as her bringing up the pains of the day made him frown.
Flair scuffed to see that she caused this frown, and a thought she never believed she'd ever have came to mind, which she tried to fight back against and push as far down as she could, why would I help him?! Why would I even think of doing something like this?! Unfortunately for her, the more she tried to push this thought away, the more it resurfaced: attacking her heart in a way as well and changing her mind. First came a growl, then a sigh, before finally, her words, "Fine!" He was surprised by the sudden yell, but no where near as surprised as to what she had to say, "You get only this one chance to say something mushy to me, alright?! But only this one chance!"
Cyril smiled to hear her say, so he knew he needed to make his chance count, "You know, you saying 'one', always makes me think of you and me. Because you're the only, 'one', for me."
"Booooooooooo!" Malefor called out to him as he heard the joke, "These are the Chambers, not a terrible..."
"SHUT UP, MALEFOR!" Flair nearly exploded with fire from all sides, but that doesn't stop fire from exploding from her mouth and crashing with an explosion to the floor.
This helped get eyes away from her as they tried not to say or look at her in a way that would spark another fire. Flair made sure the others weren't looking first before she was to do what she wanted to do next. Taking a sigh, Flair took notice to the cold aura Cyril had made for her with his powers. On top of that, his wing rubbed her side as to help sooth her for her anger. With no one looking, Flair took her chances and snuggled to him. Her body rubbed to his side, her tailed moved from his neck to wrap with his, and her head rested to his shoulder. It was a sudden surprise to feel so comfortable, and after what he had said, he was surprised he wasn't dead yet. Though from her words, he understood why, "Alright... fine... that was... pretty good..."
"Hehe, and that was just with my words. Now imagine what I could do in bed," Cyril chuckled, and feeling Flair starting to shift away from him, he took it all back, "Bad joke-bad joke-bad joke!"
Thankfully for him, she went back to resting against him. Because of the comfort she was feeling, her mind yelled at her without any real emotion of anger even if she wished to experience it, No no no! What the hell do you think you're doing?! Get up! Don't let him... seduce you like that! Anger was next to nonexistent in her body which made feeling anything else aside from comfort difficult for her. Slowly she realized this wasn't a bad thing. But... he's not doing anything... he's just simply... protecting me... like he said he would... like he's been saying since the beginning. Peaceful thoughts after peaceful thoughts forced her body to ease, so much so that her eyes even shut, still feeling tired after all this time. Am I... really... trusting him... to sleep on him...? Her mind didn't go much elsewhere as her body, mind, and what felt like soul eased for the position she was in. The others had taken notice to her drifting to a sat sleeping position. The main thing they focused to was Cyril's smile as he looked to her sleeping against his side. I don't know about you, Flair... but this right here has already made this day more then amazing for me... And I hope I'm able to continue this comfort for you, Cyril thought with a smile, and though he knew he may die for it, he reached his head down and kissed the top of her forehead. Everyone was quick to back up as they feared for something to explode for what he had done. Jaws all nearly dropped wide open as the exact opposite had happened. The kiss he had given her didn't help her anger, but rather helped her enjoyment as a smile formed to her face. The voices of the others were brought down now as to give a much more easy to listen to vibe, hoping to only further her comfort over the situation, and since Malefor was the one to have the easy voice first, the others knew they were safe, "Just as a way to surface a conversation, what do you all think we should do for our snow day?"
"Me and Terrador could build an Igloo," Trish suggested.
"Why, so you can hide my body to make out with me?" Terrador already knew her reason for wanting privacy and smiled to her.
"What? You're thinking too low. And plus, can a girl not dream of laying to her man's chest while he comforts her from the cold?"
"Oh... And here I was getting excited thinking you'd take me but... we can do that too."
"Don't you dare. I can still lay to your chest in the afterglow."
"Aftermath?" Malefor snickered.
"Okay, I'm just going to say this right now," Before things went too far, Spyro wished to set some ground rules, "To make sure nothing is said that'll be too far, there's certain things we shouldn't make a sexual joke about. I don't want no comparisons to a guy and an ice icicle. No references to the snows color as it has to be white. And for the love of everything, snow balls aren't funny. It's simply a snow that you ball up and throw. Nothing else needs to be said."
Even with these set rules in place, Malefor still found a way around it, "Yeah, but I mean... It's gonna be hard being with Carith and seeing snow fall to her face, because it's like a premonition of what I'll do to her in the future."
"Mother fu..."
"You want to die, don't you," Carith growled as she, as well as the others, knew exactly what he meant, "I'm gonna start calling you a desert, because if you keep teasing me, you'll be dryer then one, that's for sure."
"One, normal, family conversation, is all I ask for," Spyro sighed as his plans to keep the damage to a minimal was all but gone.
"Hehe, it's okay, Spyro," Cynder snuggled to his side as to get his mind off of things, though her lust didn't help much, "You know, I remember back in the day hearing something about a snow angle. I'm assuming you'd like to watch as I make one?" Spyro was confused at her words at first, but as the others blushed, so did he, "I think it requires me to, spread my legs? And because I don't know exactly how to do it, you can guide me, and teach me how to properly," Bringing her lips to his neck, she licked him ever so slightly before allowing her warm breath to tickle his scales, "You can teach me how to do it not only out there, but in bed if you wanted to as well."
Spyro's heart pounded at almost a million miles an hour for what she was saying, and it didn't help that his mind was now stuck on what she was saying and imagining it himself, Calm down-calm down-calm down! She smiled to see how much he shivered, how much his sweat proceeded to drip, but it was the blush of innocence that got her smiling. While she was enjoying herself, Spyro wanted to as well, but he knew there wasn't anything he could do. If I say something, or even move for that matter...! Ooooooooh... If we were in our room I'd just go for it! But... Ugh...! I need a distraction! To his luck, Volteer had appeared around the corner of the Chambers and now stood to the entrance, giving Spyro his escape, "He-hey, Volteer!" Even though he was loud, he wasn't loud enough to warrant a response from Flair, "S-s-so! How are things going?"
Volteer noticed the way Spyro's body looked even past his dark form, and seeing the lust in Cynder's eyes, he knew why, so he wished to embarrasses him even more, "Damn, Spyro. That much sweat and that hard of a blush. That usually means for us males that you're looking to mate with someone, but who could've caused it?"
"Haha! Very FUNNY, Volteer! Your face is going to be as bad as your jokes if you keep this up!"
After having said this, Cynder noticed that his body did processed to warm; however, it wasn't his standard warmth, but rather the warmth from his purple flames. With a paw to his chest to feel his heart, the feeling she gave to him made his body jump, and to almost push him past a point of no return, she asked him with a smug smile, "Why are your purple flames going, my love? You wishing to ease my body before you do something else to me?"
The others had taken notice to it as well as his purple flames shined past his darkness and almost outlined his scales. Because he couldn't hold his breath through his nose, his mouth opened to show his purple flames even in the back of his throat. Being as Volteer had been in a similar situation with Ersa before, he decided to help before something did happen, "But, anyway, I wanted to give you all an update as to what our plans are for the rest of the day."
The way he made it sound was met with frowns as the others feared something was going wrong, and Carith asked, "Is everything okay? And from the sounds of it, should we be asking if Ersa's okay?"
"Oh, yeah, she's fine. Just recovering is all."
"Recovering?" Malefor questioned.
"I just wanted to give you all a quick update," He avoided Malefor's question but a blush had shown, "The food is coming along well and she should be out any minute with it. As for the weather change, that's where you're going to have to step in, Spyro," With his name being called, his mind was finally able to focus on anything else aside for his lust to Cynder, "We have the mixture ready, though because you can disappear and reappear so quickly, I hope it wouldn't be too much to ask if you could prepare after we're done eating."
"What do you need me to do?" Spyro asked.
"All I need is for you to fly up and find the nearest cloud. Then, you're going to open the bottle and drop all the liquid from the bottle into the cloud. By the time you come back and we have a little talk, the sky should be covered in clouds that will rain down snow. Though, this is where the unfortunate part comes into play, but we've already figured out a work around," Volteer remembered what he had spoken about with Ersa, "Because there will be so many clouds for a prolonged period of time, we won't be able to see the meteor shower. But with your help, if you could output enough fire in all directions at the same time in the sky, it should push the clouds all out of the way and destroy them, giving us a clean, crisp, and clear view of every single star in the galaxy."
"If stars are only meant to be in space, then why does a bright and beautiful one sit next to me?" Spyro asked, and while meant to be a sweet moment that Cynder wished to reward him for, Malefor wasn't too happy about it.
"You bitch!"
"What?! What did I do?!"
"You stole that from me! I was going to say that to Carith!"
"But did you? Did you? Oh, that's right, you didn't."
"You are BEGGING to have your ass kicked you mother fu-WOAH!"
Ducking at just the right time, Malefor had noticed something bright and red heading straight for his head which he was just barely able to dodge. The fire wasn't strong enough to cause much damage, and even as it hit the wall behind him, it didn't go very far, almost as though it was avoiding the possibility of hitting Carith. Looked to the scorched wall first, his eyes then focused to who it was. His soul nearly left him to see it was Flair, showing fire through her eyes and teeth. Malefor stood up tall in fear for what she was to do next, but to his extreme luck, and everyone else's, she was pissed, but not overly as her voice was somewhat easy, "You never shut up, do you? Every single day you run your mouth, and it's crazy to think that, even when you aren't the Dark Master, you still find a way to ruin lives, and the moments others wish to have," Because of the punch to the gut she gave him, the wings to his side ducked, as did his posture, "Stop, being, so, goddamn loud. Some of us are trying to sleep."
"I will call you my friend right here and now if you say, 'That's what beds are for'," Spyro snickered.
"WH...?!" Malefor cried as he knew there was no way in hell he'd say something like that.
"What Spyro meant to say was, 'That's what coffins are for', because if you say that shit to me, I'll end you," Flair gave Malefor a warning, but also a warning to Spyro, "And that goes to you too, Spyro. If you're trying to be a smart ass by coming up with lines like those, I feel like Cynder would more then agree that you should be left to the wayside while she finds someone else who's not a piece of shit."
Spyro's sweat was now directed to what he had said, "Ye... yeah... you're... you're right... Ahem... I'm, sorry, Flair."
Flair gave a sigh and decided to back down as peace and quiet once again consumed the Chambers. No one dared to try and speak now as they watched Flair's head rest back to Cyril's shoulder. Because she was still nearly out of it and completely exhausted, she let slip something that she knew she'd never be able to say if her mind was wide awake, "Thank you... Cyril... for letting me rest..." Closing her eyes once again, her body softened to his, "I'm sorry for what I said... and I'm sorry that what you're doing I... can't reward... but if my safety, and trust, is what you were after... you definitely have it..."
Cyril nearly jumped for joy as all his body went up: nearly sky high as his heart hitting his chest made him wish to jump. Attempting to go back to sleep proved to be too late as Ersa had joined back into the Chambers with a surprise, "It's ready!"
Flair growled as she wished to get more sleep in the comfortable position she was in, but because she knew the day had to continue, her eyes opened as her head raised. Everyone looked to Ersa's left paw and noticed she was holding a small round metal dish plate. To the plate sat a number of brown looking squares, and while at first, some were a little hesitant as they had never seen something like this before, the smell of chocolate, fudge, and vanilla ice cream on the inside made everyone drool. Ersa noticed the smiles from everyone and she smiled back to them, "I hope you all do enjoy," Handing the plate over to Volteer, he went to pass them all around to the others, "It took a bit of work, but I tried my hardest to recreate the exact formula in order to create these magnificent brownies," While she was speaking, Volteer passed them out to Spyro, Cynder, Ersa, Malefor, and Carith, "I made sure the fudge on the inside was perfectly warm, while also keeping the vanilla ice cream soft on the inside. Hopefully we made it so the vanilla keeps form and doesn't spill out, but if it does, it should taste good no matter the way you eat it," Unfortunately, as the brownies were being past out, only one hadn't received a treat as there were none left, and that some one was Flair, "Oh, and, Flair. Don't worry about not getting one. I didn't have enough ingredients to make the amount needed, so, me and Volteer already agreed that we'd share one, which, my love, why did you give me one?"
"Oh! Sorry," Volteer chuckled, "Force of habit."
Putting the plate down to his front where he normally sat in the row, he went to walk over to Ersa to grab the brownie, but was stopped by Flair, "It's fine!" Her sudden blurt out made the others stop dead in their tracks, "I don't care that I don't get one, and I'm not going to deprive you of your hard earned work. You should eat them before anyone of us as you worked on it."
"No, Flair, it's fine. Truly," Ersa wished to assure her.
"Look, with my luck today, the brownie will be hard, poisonous, or make me sick. I'm not calling you a bad cook, I'm just calling out my bad luck. If you all enjoy your food, then it's fine, I can just wait another day."
"Well... since you won't take it from them, what about me?" Cyril questioned, wishing to hand over the brownie which she blushed to.
"NO!" She stayed firm on her decision even with how sweet it was to hear him offer, "The last dragon I need turning against me is you! I already said I didn't want one, and if you continue to push it, then you'll only be pushing me back to my room!" Cyril frowned as this day he wished to turn around already seemed to be going down hill for her once again, "Just enjoy your food so we can head outside sooner. Best to just get this day over with at this point: I really don't care either way."
The others frowned as they wished to see her enjoyment to this as well. Seeming as though he was backed to a corner, an idea came to Cyril's mind. Splitting the brownie in half while holding it upright, it helped keep the fudge and ice cream from spilling out the open ends. Flair tried not to look, but the smell and the presentation it gave off as he opened it made her mouth water, and even her stomach growled for it. Flair showed her teeth to her weaknesses, but a blush to Cyril's words, "Then if you won't take the whole thing, then please... at least enjoy my half. That way, I can still eat it like you said while also having you enjoy it at the same time," Flair couldn't speak against him, but as her blush grew, so did her growl, "I was right by your side suffering through this day the same as you... and nothing about today has changed the fact that I will take on the pain with you so you'll never have to feel alone again."
"Awwwwwwww," The girls all smiled to hear him say that to Flair.
His words got to her as she finally decided to accept his offer, "Damn you..." Before she did take it though, she wanted to make something clear, "You asked me to have this, alright?! I didn't take it from you! So if you come back and bitch or try to fight me on it, then I'll... I'll..." Even as she tried to make a threat, his smile neutralized her fears, so much so that her blush took over, as did her emotions of comfort, "What I meant to say was... thank you... for your help... again..."
He smiled to not only her words, but to her accepting his offer and taking the brownie from his paw. Now that everyone had their dessert, Ersa and Volteer walked back over to where they normally sat between Cyril and Trish. As they sat, the two turned to face forward, and looking to everyone else, Ersa could see they were ready to eat, "I guess if you'd all like to, you can chow down now," Now being given the okay, Ersa watched as the others ate her cooking, but feared she'd have done something wrong, and as she looked to her brownie, she prayed, "Please Ancestors, tell me I did a good job..."
No one was able to answer her prayer with words, not even Volteer. Just the same as her and everyone else, they all took bites into their dessert. At first it was just sounds of slight eating, but nothing eye catching. But as the others bit into the center, more towards the fudge and melted ice cream, moaning like sounds of enjoyment grew from everyone. The same went for Flair as she took careful bites to savor the taste, and even she yelled to herself about what she had almost missed out on, Holy hell, why is this so good...?! And to think I almost rejected having something this delicious. Taking another bite into the ice cream core, Flair's body shivered in delight. Of course... leave it to Cyril to cause me comfort... which only makes life without being with him that much harder to bear... that much harder... to not be in a relationship with him. With only a couple bites left, the coldness of this sweat treat made her shed a tear. Mom... I... I wish you were here for this... I wish I could see your smile, to see how you'd react to these... this... family. Some had already finished while others had taken their time, and one such dragon who had finished was Cynder, "Ooooooooooh that was so, good!" After having now tasted such a sweet treat, she had to know when they'd have more, "Hey, Ersa, when do you think you could make more of those brownies? I've never tasted something so good before!" Spyro frowned to her, and she dropped sweat for this, "I meant food wise! You're definitely the greatest thing I've ever tasted all together... that... and blood."
"Same," Claire giggled as she finished up her dessert, "Food wise I feel like would always be a top favorite. Greatest taste wise would be Ignitus."
"Hehe, it's funny you all say that too, because," Swallowing the last bit of his portion, Volteer joked, "That's definitely the second greatest thing I've eaten and tasted."
"Second?" Ersa questioned, "What's the first and greatest thing you've eaten?"
"Hehe, well, you of course."
"Aw! Dude, what the hell," Malefor growled as he finished his dessert, "I was enjoying my food so much too until you said that."
"So you all... did enjoy it?" Ersa feared for everyone's opinion.
"I mean... I'm definitely with Cynder on this. When are you going to be able to make more?"
"We're wondering the same," Terrador and Trish also agreed as they had just finished.
"Well, I unfortunately did run out, and I'm pretty sure with how rare some ingredients are to find, not to mention dangerous, it may take a month or so before I could make more," Ersa was honest, but hearing all the cries and groans made her giggle to see they really did all enjoy it.
Spyro hadn't finished his yet and still had a couple of bites left that contained some of the fudge and ice cream. Because Cynder seemed so destroyed about it, he wished to hand his over, "Hey, Cynder..." She saw he reached his paw over with the brownie to his claws, "If you want, since it might take so long, I could always just give you mine."
"What?!" Cynder cried with a wide smile.
"What?!" Malefor also gave out his own cry, "Now you're just trying to make me look like an ass to my lover."
"What do you mean?" Spyro questioned.
"First the bullshit with the stars, and now this?! I feel like Carith's going to dump me because I'm not being as affectionate. The only fall back plan I have now is to just wait until the night to give her something special."
"Better be something I'll feel from behind," Carith grumbled low enough so the others couldn't hear.
"What, my love?"
"Oh! Nothing!"
"I mean, since you're being so kind," Moving her lips to the side of his head, Cynder whispered something to Spyro, and at first it seemed like nothing until his scales suddenly stood, as did his neck with a red blush, "So..." Backing her head away from him now, he was more then happy with what she had to say, "If that's something you're down for, then..." His paw moved suddenly in front of her, which made her smile as she picked up the brownie from his claws, "Good dragon... Just wait until later tonight and I'll be sure to fulfil my promise."
Brownie now to her paws, she don't hesitate to enjoy it herself. Seeing the absolutely stunned figure of Spyro, Malefor had to ask, "Dude... what the hell did she promise you?"
"Hehe... hehehe... hehehe..." Spyro could only chuckle from him asking.
"You know what... never mind."
Seeing Cynder enjoy the cooking she had made with such delight, Ersa wanted to give her a small heads up, "You know, Cynder. While I did say it may take a week or so to get everything back together to make, I'm sure with Spyro's power, it may only take a day," Cynder swallowed hard on the last piece of the dessert she had eaten and looked to her with wide eyes, "Hehe, yeah. I mean, it may take longer or even shorter in time depending on if the resources, ingredients, or gems are there. If we could one day find a special gem that just makes the ingredients, then we'd be safe to make almost anything."
"Sorry..." Volteer apologized, "I'm sure Ellen needed it back in the day way more then I did."
"I didn't say anything against it. If anything, I'm proud of you for doing something so sweet."
"So then... how long would it take for us to get more really?" Cynder had to question once again.
"Hmmmm... maybe... a week or two with Spyro's help."
"Then... Spyro..." Opening her wings and showing her body fully to him, his face burned with embarrassment, "If you can help Ersa, then all you see, you can do what ever you want to."
Spyro swallowed hard to see her open her body to him, which did make the others back their heads with embarrassment for it as well. Ducking his head low, Ignitus seemed to be scheming something which Flair caught notice of. She didn't need to ask as he was already ready to speak, "Hey... Hey guys, I have an idea," Everyone looked to him as he raised his head, "Okay, look, the Ancestors have given me many rules to follow; however, there is nothing saying that I can do this..." He didn't say anything else to what he was planning for now, but rather gave them the plan of what they needed to do, "Trust me when I say... raise out your paw with your palm facing upwards as if you were to receive something."
"Uhhhhh... could you be a little more specific to what we're going to be... receiving...?" Malefor was a little scared, though he wasn't alone.
"Shhhhhhhh!" Ignitus hushed him, "They'll hear you. Just trust me," Malefor sighed and decided to just go through with what he had said, and one by one, so did the others, "Now... don't tell anyone I did this, but..." Raising a paw up, he snapped his fingers, and with a small glow to everyone's paws, once the light had died down, they all looked to their paws and gasped, seeing now that another brownie rested to their paws, "You didn't see me, you didn't speak to me, and I wasn't here when this happened."
After he had snapped his paws, even he was able to rest his paw open afterwards to receive a brownie as well. Since everyone had once again received a brownie, that even included Flair. Cyril smiled to see he had included her as well, and it didn't take long for the two to lock eyes, "So... how would you say the day is turning out so far?" Flair growled to him, and rather then say something, she scuffed, not paying any attention to him and simply eating her brownie, "Hehe, I like you too."
Going back to the enjoyment of their food, all seemed fine and well within the Chambers. But suddenly, from the entrance, a loud voice yelled out before a red dragon jumped into everyone's view, "What's up my dudes!"
His sudden appearance made Flair duck back some, dropping her brownie in the process while sharpening the fins on her body that Cyril didn't have a hold over. Even for Trish, she backed behind Terrador almost entirely as she had never seen this dragon before. To make matters worse, three more dragons walked from the side of the Chambers to reveal themselves. Two were blue; both a female and male, whereas the yellow one and the red dragon were both males. Both Trish and Flair feared the same thing, but for Flair, she knew this would be the turn around, No... no no no... They're here for me aren't they...?! They... they'll try and take me away from everyone! Even in such a scared yet dire situation, Flair noticed the others were only smiling to the group. These smiles, including Cyril's scared her as she thought back to her nightmare. The nightmare made her shiver, fear even as she cried for him, "Cyril... Cyril!"
He was quick to look back to see her shivering, but he couldn't understand why, "Whoa whoa whoa, Flair... what's wrong...?"
It was hard for him to help ease her with the dessert to his paw, and while he went to drop it to the floor to help her, her fears were easy for him to sooth, "They're here to take me away... aren't they...?!"
"What?" Cyril now wondered what she meant.
"Like my nightmare... my fears... you all already had this planned, didn't you?! That's why you wanted me out here!"
"No, Flair... I would never..." Even with her fears, she was still able to hold back and look past her clouded mind for now, "Those dragons aren't going to harm you. They are a group that we also call family, but we mainly know them as The Friends."
"The... Friends...?"
"Hehe, hey, sorry about that. It's just been a while since we've last been up here that I thought I'd make a grand entrance," The red dragon spoke with pride, "I didn't expect to see some new faces around here. It seems to me not only did Terrador find someone, but so did you, Cyril?"
"Well... hehe... not exactly," Cyril's chuckle was a little sad, "It's... complicated."
"Well, in any case, to help your female with her fears, as well as yours, Terrador, I'd like to introduce myself. They call my Blitz."
"They? You mean your mom?" The yellow dragon chuckled.
"And this yellow dragon over here is called 'smart ass'."
"He means Bolt."
"As in like... the dog?" Flair peaked her head out now.
"HAHA!" Malefor laughed out loud, "I never noticed that!"
"You got me there," Bolt had nothing to say to that.
"The blue dragon down to the far left is..."
"I'm Sesal!" The Friends were surprised to see him suddenly jump out from out of almost nowhere to introduce himself, but from the way he shivered and sweat, they knew why, "I'm sorry if my friend here caused you any displeasure. I can assure you that I'm nothing like the way he is and I'm very gentle to females."
"Holy crap, dude. I've never heard you say so much in a sentence before," Blitz was rather surprised, just as much as Bolt and Celia.
"Because I've never needed to point out so much beauty within a female before," Sesal's eyes nearly shined to Flair's body like a diamond.
"Did you just call me ugly?" Celia growled to him.
"Though you don't need it, you have my permission to kick his ass," Blitz backed away from what she was to do.
With Sesal looking at her body was great interest, Flair showed her teeth as she crushed and burned the brownie underneath her paw to black ash, "Great, another ice dragon who doesn't understand personal space and will stalk me twenty-four seven to get some ass," Sesal blushed as he didn't mean to come off that desperate, "Sesal, was it? You can take this as a joke all you want, and you can laugh till you can't breathe. But if you notice you can't breathe because your lungs filled with blood after I've stabbed you, well maybe that wouldn't have happened if you weren't so close, so I suggest you stay far away from me."
"Hehe... jokes... right?" Sesal chuckled, stepping back now as he was a little afraid.
"I can assure you right now. If she says she'll kill someone, she will do it, so I wouldn't get too close to her if I were you," Spyro gave him a slight warning.
"So then... how did Cyril get so close to her? I'm assuming you two are lovers or something like that, or maybe you're in a relationship? Because if not, I mean, I could always take her off your paws, Cyril."
"Oh yeah! You're right!" Malefor wanted to make this situation worse, "You know what, Sesal, they actually, JUST, broke up today, which means Flair is full gain."
"What?!"
"If you touch me, look at me wrong, or have some kind of thought of me and you and I see a blush, I will not hesitate to pull your spine from your mouth," Flair gave him a clear warning before he was to try anything else, and her threats got to him, "I've already put holes after holes inside of Cyril, and the only reason he's still alive is because he's lucky. You on the other paw, I bet I could snap your neck with my jaw," Now Sesal scooted away as fast he could and back to the group near the entrance, and while she was done with one of the friends, she then focused to Blitz, and he immediately stood straight up, "Because of your dumbass, I lost my perfectly good brownie. So tell me why right now I shouldn't squish your head and burn it to a crisp as I did with my food?"
"Sorry-sorry-sorry!" Blitz quickly apologized as he waved his paws in front of his face.
"Hold on, Flair, maybe this isn't so bad," Trish walked from behind Terrador now, and because she had secretly yet nervously eaten her brownie, she was able to wave a paw to them, "Hello. I haven't gotten a chance to properly introduce myself yet, though if you don't care to hear, I understand... I shouldn't have pushed my introduction onto you four... that was rather rude..."
"What? How was that rude? You simply wanted to get to know more dragons around you, and we'd be very happy if you did tell us your name," Blitz kept a smile the entire time which helped her smile.
"Oh... thank you..." She was happy to hear him say, "My name is Trish: Mate to Terrador."
"Mate?!" The four friends yelled out.
"It's not official..." Terrador unfortunately had to shoot her down, but hearing her sigh, he didn't wish to feel bad for it, "Not yet, at least."
Trish now giggled to hear his changed answer, but for Blitz, he had another question, "So then, are you two lovers?"
"It's not official," Trish giggled, "Not yet, at least."
"I am so confused."
To help clear some thing up, because Cyril still had a little less then half of his brownies left, he wished to give it to Flair, "Hey, Flair..." She noticed his offering, "Hehe, don't worry, I got your back," She didn't even wish to fight against him this time as from her first tasting, she knew how amazing these brownies were and took it from his paw, "And for some extra help," Looking all the way down the line of Guardians and their females, he looked to Ignitus and politely asked, "Ignitus, could you please clean up the burned remains of the brownie over here with your powers?" Since everyone was now done with their food aside from Flair now, Ignitus was easily able to snap his fingers after nodding to him, "Thank you."
Now with two situations down, another arose as Kettu and Xvar had finally arrived back into the Chambers. Their arrival was a surprise to most as a dark cloud showed to the middle of the room before out walking Kettu and Xvar towards Spyro. These sudden dark dragons appearing made Blitz and the other three defensive. To see Spyro in his new dark purple form made him wonder, but with the two dark dragons approaching Spyro, Blitz stopped them but made sure to step forward with a wing blocking Celia, "Hey!" Kettu and Xvar both stopped to look at him, "Who the hell do you think you two are appearing in the Chambers like this? Get the hell out before we make you!"
"You're funny," Kettu chuckled to hear his challenge.
"Did your mommy make that joke for you?" Xvar chuckled along.
"I'm seventeen years old!" Blitz growled, "Better watch who you're talking to before you embarrass yourself!"
"Someone needs a wake up call. Maybe a few pulled teeth should do the job."
"Hey," Spyro stopped the two, "Kettu, Xvar, these are friends. They don't know about you two and I have to defend Blitz as well as he and the others don't know of your kind."
"Kettu? Xvar? Flair? Trish? Spyro appearing in a new dark form?! What the hell happened while we were gone? You all look like you've been very busy," With the amount of new around the Chambers, Blitz needed some clarification.
"Hehe, if you two would've stayed around a little longer, you might've actually been able to see Flair walk in," Terrador knew where this confusion was coming from, "For Trish, she showed up a day after the attack on Warfang. As for Flair, she showed up early morning. Once you four had talked to me about helping around with collateral damage and the repairs of Warfang, about a couple minutes later, Flair showed up."
"Speaking of repairs, the most we could do was walk around town to see if everyone was alright. Those moles love work, and it took them only hours to fix the holes in the walls of Warfang before moving on to houses," Now that two things were cleared up, he focused to the two dark dragons, and even after what Spyro had said, he didn't trust them, "So... As for Kettu and Xvar... are you two really dragons or something else? Then again, the biggest question I have is, can you two be trusted?"
"Our kind didn't slaughter the other," Kettu was of course defensive against him.
"I have nothing against you two, and I shouldn't have shown my anger against someone I didn't know. I just simply wish to know if you're friend or foe."
"We could be either when we choose. But for right now... we will see where us being friend takes us," Xvar decided to agree on an alliance in a way.
"Thank you, you two," Spyro was happy to see they were getting along with the others, "But now I have to ask a scary question. Did you have to save anyone or not?"
"We checked about seven miles out in all directions and didn't come across anything of note, but..."
"But what?"
"Are you aware that you're being tracked, Spyro?" Kettu asked which made the others raise their brows, but for Spyro, he showed his teeth, "There was a shadow dragon who had been sitting atop a building writing something down in his book. We were able to get a closer look, but we weren't able to get much. All I could read was, 'Day Five. Nothing note worthy to report. Spyro nor his friends seem to have left the building that rests against the mountain which we know as the Guardians Building. Best place for both ambush or maybe first contact would most likely be there'."
"First contact?"
"We couldn't get any information as once he spotted us, he dipped into the ground and disappeared. We saw something similar with another dragon, so it isn't just him. It seems to me he may be working with a group, writing things down about only you as they learn things. Don't be surprised if you catch someone watching you when you all go out for that snow day."
"You guys were planning a snow day?!" Blitz smiled to hear, "Would it be too much to ask if we joined?"
"After all your hard work, I don't see it being a problem at all," Terrador agreed.
"Hold on now," Ersa stepped in for a second, "Celia..." Her head raised once hearing her name, "Has Blitz been treating you right? As well as the other two? Because if they aren't, then maybe they should be learning lessons in manners, not fun."
"Hmmmm..." The three friends all started to sweat as they feared for what they'd say about them, "Blitz has been... rather a joy to be honest. There were some times where I'd purposefully point out a girl's ass to see what he'd do, and while it took a lot of strength, he's faithful, that's for sure," Blitz took a huge sigh to hear, "Though he does occasionally talk about Cynder here and there which makes me a little sad."
"Damn it, Blitz!" Spyro growled.
"But I wouldn't do anything! I swear!" He was quick to defend his pride, "Plus, I was actually talking to Terrador as you heard earlier because I wished to help with repairs so you all could rest. He told me what had happened, your almost death and Cynder's nightmare. You two are more connected then I've ever seen anyone in a relationship before, and I'm sorry both of you had to experience the pain that you did," Spyro sighed to hear his honesty, and for Cynder, she wanted to smile, but the memories of what led up to that battle scarred her, "So now that you've given me a... deceit review which helps me know what I need to work on, what about the other two?"
"Honestly, Bolt is rather chill and Sesal just wants someone to love him," Celia was able to easily round up the other two in a simple sentence.
"I know how you feel, Sesal," Malefor whimpered to hear his struggles, "I just want a female to care for me too."
His wish was granted in a blink of an eye as Carith was quick to swing her lips around his. Others continued to talk to one another, and even to give more of a sense of scope to everyone around her, Flair watched as Kettu and Xvar moved off to the right side of the Chambers, sitting down next to Spyro in a row now as well. Now with a clear view of everything and everyone in the Chambers, it was a surprise to see how packed it looked now. Everywhere she looked she saw nothing but smiles, blushes, and embarrassed teeth displays as others picked on one another. To hear how nice it sounded with everyone enjoying life widened Flair's eyes to see what truly looked like one big family. Caught out from the moment, she noticed a feeling to her side, and this familiar feeling forced her to look to her left, already knowing the feeling on her right was Cyril's wing rubbing against her. She wasn't surprised by his smile, but rather his words, "Cosy, is it not? Hehe... I remember back when it was just me and the other three. But as time went on, we grew more as a family. Going from four, to five, to six, then unfortunately, back down to four... and I don't wish to count my, and the other Guardian's failed attempts at finding love... I mean our real family..." Cyril chuckled as he continued with a smile, "Even with Ersa, we went back up to five, then four... and that lasted for ten years... But then as time went on, we grew to a family of six, eight, twelve, and now, even eighteen different members just in this room right now..." A tear had already formed to him speaking, but his final words were what got her, "Now just imagine how much bigger this family would get once everyone settles down and has a Hatchling or two. Hehe... We already know Volteer and Ersa are a yes, but imagine the future here once everyone settles... not hinting at anything but... I do fear who you'll end up with one day... but I hope who ever it is... just promise me you'll..."
"Shut up..." Flair didn't want to hear him continue; so much so that she dug her head against his shoulder, "I'm not leaving your dumbass. And if you dare try to push me away, I'll..."
"You don't have to worry... you're not leaving... and I'm not pushing... hehe... so I guess that means... we're both just right here... with each other..."
"Exactly where I want to be..." Flair murmured.
"You know, speaking of all that's going on; Spyro, you've been in your darkened purple form for quite some time now," He had noticed it for a while, but Malefor wanted to point it out, "Isn't that form harder to control then the others? So how have you been able to keep it under control for so long now?"
"Mainly thanks to Kettu and Xvar," Spyro of course knew more then the others, "We've been able to exchange darkness in a way. It's a little confusing if I say it but, basically, the darkness works in a cycle. I use the darkness, it gets out of control or to a point where it attempts to corrupt me, so then me and the other two trade dark powers. I give them the darkness that's angering me I guess you could say, whereas I take their darkness in return to keep me powered."
"Uh... what? How does that even work?"
"Their darkness is more pure in a sense, more calmed as they know and constantly live with it: kinda like our light. They can control the anger within the darkness better than I can. So, I give them my rage, they give me their purity, and with the raged darkness I gave them, they clean the darkness while also being able to use said darkness, then we rinse and repeat."
"When the hell did you learn to do all this? And I thought after what they told me and Cynder, they can't stay out of your body for too long or the darkness starts to really take over their minds."
"I... needed to find something to do after what happened and my slow reaction time to both the dark master and Argus. So, me, Kettu, and Xvar had a chat in my mind. It works rather well too, and it's another reason I wanted to send those two as far away as possible from me," Spyro went a little more in-depth as to what he had been hiding, "Though I wasn't able to test if I could speak to the two from afar because of the amazing brownie distraction, I was able to find that, with our darkness being linked, I can send my darkness at near snapping speed right to them and back."
"So, what? Are you going to remain in your dark purple form for the rest of the day or something?"
"I wouldn't mind," Cynder murmured, though low enough so the others wouldn't hear.
"I mean... I could. I did say Kettu and Xvar should enjoy this snow day. Which," Done with his explanation now, Spyro wanted to advance on the day by asking Ersa, "While you all are in here, do you need me to go and set up that liquid into the sky now, Ersa?"
"Oh, yeah, sure," Ersa didn't see a problem with it, "I made sure that it was distinguishable from all the others. At the far right table nearest to the bed, it's a bottle with a blue colored cork rather then a standard brown looking one."
"Sweet," Disappearing in smoke before reappearing in front of Volteer, he picked the tray up from the ground, "I'll take this back to the room for you," The Friends watched with wide eyes to see his speed, but for Blitz, it was much worse for him as Spyro disappeared before reappearing right in front of him and showing his teeth as he was serious, "Do or say anything that will make Cynder uncomfortable, and I'll choose the teeth that Kettu and Xvar get to pull from you, understand?"
"Understood!" Blitz rasied his paws and agreed nearly instantly.
"Good," Spyro smiled before disappearing in his smoke cloud of darkness.
"Oh ho ho," Xvar smiled himself as well to hear this news, "Hey, Cynder. Since we've done a lot for Spyro, you think you could just lie and say that Blitz did something to make you feel uncomfortable?"
"What?!" Blitz cried.
"I mean, after all, sexual harassment isn't very manly and deserves some punishment, don't you think?" Kettu was sure to agree with his friend's plan.
"Oh, come on! I haven't done anything to you all."
"Don't worry, Blitz," With a paw placed to his chest, Malefor was sure to stand by his side, "I shall come to your defense if anything happens."
"He won't believe you. You know that, right?" Ignitus already knew of the outcome, "He'll either ignore you or kill 'you', for lying."
"It's a real bitch to know that's exactly how he'd act too."
"But I mean, which would you rather prefer. Death or a little disrespect?" Volteer asked.
"Bro, he treats me like a women and just beats the shit out of me every time he sees me."
"Spyro doesn't beat me," Cynder defended her lover.
"Hehe, no, of course not. It's your job to beat your man, is it not?"
"Malefor!" The Friends caught on faster then any of the others in the Chambers.
"How did you four get it before the others?"
"We make jokes like those almost nonstop," Bolt was rather sad to say, "You could tell someone to come here, and when they'd say, 'I'm coming', our brains just go full perv. It's rather sad."
"So then tell me. What could Cynder do with her wind powers to Spyro?"
"Blow..."
"HEY-HEY-HEY!" Blitz was quick to stop any one from saying, "Questions are great, but not all of them NEED to be answered!"
"Awwww," Malefor chuckled, "Why didn't you let him finish?"
"Because only girls can finish me," Bolt smirked.
"Wait... so are you implying that Blitz was doing some work then? Because only a girl can finish the job?"
"Aw! Bitch!"
"HAHA!" Malefor laughed out loud.
"Holy hell, I think Spyro was right," Cyril wasn't the only one who saw it as the others most definitely did, but he wanted to spark some conversation with Flair, "For someone who's supposed to be in his forties, he acts more like a six year old then anything."
"It's embarrassing to know someone like him exists," Flair growled as what Malefor was saying made her blush from how inappropriate the conversation was.
"It's crazy how different you two are too. He's ugly, you're beautiful. He sounds awful where you sound mythic."
"Why are you kissing ass?"
"More importantly, why you talking shit?" Malefor over heard what he was talking about, "Flair, be a good girl and shut him up."
Everyone gasped to what he had said as a joke, but from how he sounded, and the way he did it, it was a death sentence. The Friends didn't know what was going on but feared for what the others in the Chambers were doing. Kettu and Xvar moved away from Flair and blocked Cynder in protection. Volteer, Terrador, Ignitus, and their females all backed away as far as they could until their backs touched the back wall where the door to the sleeping Chambers was: cowering in fear over what could happen next. Even Cyril took steps back as he knew there wasn't anything stopping her now. Knowing his life was all but gone now, Carith backed away from Malefor herself and made her way to the Chamber entrance next to Celia. The fins on Flair's body sharpened to their max as her blade curved, begging for blood, and with a fiery step from her paw, she blurted, "EXCUSE ME?!"
With her anger bursting out, so did fire, but since no one was in the way, the fire simply exploded outwards: flying to the ceiling and dissipating later. Swallowing hard for what he had said, Malefor waved his paws in the front of his face and apologized, "No-no-no! That's not what I-WOAH!"
Even as he spoke, she didn't let up, slashing a huge line of fire at him that he narrowly ducked from before it hit and blew up against the wall, "YOU THINK I'M SOME BITCH YOU CAN TALK TO LIKE THAT?!" Even though he was ducked low to the ground, he had nowhere to move as every place was occupied by others cowering in fear, "Be a good girl, he said. Shut him up, he said," Malefor's shivers grew more and more intense as she approached him, and it didn't help that her blade twitched towards him the closer she got, "Telling me what to be... telling me WHAT TO DO?!" Paw to his neck now, she forcefully pushed his back up and to the back wall, slamming him against it to prove a point, "I'm sure this isn't new to you, but you ever wonder what it feels like to have your head POPPED you stupid mother FUC..."
"Hey, Ersa!" To Malefor's serious luck, Spyro had returned and appeared back into the Chambers close to the middle but more in front of the friends, "Did you know it smelt like updog outside?"
"Updog?" Ersa questioned, "What's up dog?"
"Nothing much, how about you?! Hahaha!" No else was able to laugh aside from Spyro, and since no one else had, his laugh died down rather quickly, "Hehe... hehe... heh... hey... what's wrong?" Seeing the blade of Flair straight to the gut of Malefor as she held him by his neck to keep him up, Spyro gave wide eyes to this, "I was gone for five minutes! What the hell happened?!"
"I was stupid! A big dumb stupid fool!" Malefor cried.
"Shut up!" Flair commanded, "I'll answer the questions!"
"I'm still a virgin," He whimpered.
"I mean... that's no surprise," Spyro snickered, "Kinda always knew you'd die before you had sex."
"I could change that," Carith stepped forward.
"It's my only fall back plan!" Malefor cried, "Flair, if you're to kill me, at least let me not die a virgin!" Even as he cried, his eyes grew wide as he looked to Carith and finally realizing what she had said, "Wait, Carith, did you just agree to mate with me without anyone one telling you otherwise?" Carith blushed hard about it and even stepped back now as she didn't know how to respond, but this was perfect for Malefor as he gave a smug look to her, "Carith... is this you hinting that you want to be my mate?"
"Flair, remember what Malefor said to you!" Carith was quick to change her mind, "Remember his disrespect!"
"Carith! My love!"
"Hehe, damn. Malefor, I think Carith just did a pro gamer move called 'change teams'. How does that make you feel?"
"I wish to commit die..." Malefor whimpered.
"Commit die? I think your brain is already doing that on it's own with what ever the hell you had to say."
"It's a joke, bitch!"
"Alright, enough!" Flair about had enough with the bickering, "Malefor, give me one good reason I shouldn't shove this blade into you right now. I know you've got guts because of the shit you said to me, but I feel like they'd look much better on the floor then inside of you," It was something he really had to think about as he didn't really have a single good reason for her not to go through with his death, "All the shit you gave Cyril in the time I was gone, the disrespect to others, and the shit you say makes my claws twitch," Rather then hold him by her paw, she eased, but replaced it with claws as her tips touched rather aggressively to the scales on his neck, "And to know the Dark Master is still alive just gives reasons on top of reasons."
"Because Spyro's special!" Malefor had an escape plan.
"I'm not stupid," Spyro grumbled to him.
"I said special, not special ed, dumb ass."
"Ha!" The four friends laughed, but with Flair's head snapping over to look at them, they were quick to close their mouths.
Unfortunately for some of the others, they had to sinker as well which Flair heard from the others and showed her teeth to. Unfortunately, she now faced the Guardians in the corner, and Volteer defended their snickering, "Oh, come on! It was funny... Because special is close to special ed, and just the way it was said, I mean like, I have to give credit where credits due. Especially since calling the one you love special is supposed to be romantic, but some do believe you're calling them something else, it just..."
"Volteer... shut up..." Flair sighed as she was getting exhausted just holding Malefor against the wall.
"Yeah, Volteer! Go stick your snout somewhere else!" Malefor was on Flair's side.
"Like in me once again," Ersa was quick about it.
"Haha!" He laughed, "That's disgusting! But it's a perfect distraction for an escape plan!"
"Goddamn you're annoying," Flair sighed, "Just apologize, and watch your ass if you ever say some shit like that to me again, understood?"
"Hehe, yes ma'am. And I'm... sorry... Flair."
"It's going to be annoying knowing I'll have to spend an eternity in hell with someone like you," Flair growled as she backed away from him which let him fall back to all fours, "Then again, it's called hell, not a family vacation," Because of her talks, this made her turn to face Cyril, "Which makes me wonder something," Walking back over towards him, she had some choice words, "Nice try on us being able to spend another time together once we're died, but you do realize I'll end up in hell for what I've done, right?"
"Technically... you won't..." Ignitus stepped in to comfort her, but just her looks made him fear, "Ahem... I-I-I mean... being an Ancestor, I have the power and decisions to where others go. As of right now, no one here is really in the bad," Flair's fins eased as she listened to him, "Your kills were more then justified, aside from one, but since he was working against the light and with the darkness, a blind eye has been shown to many of your kills."
"So, with Malefor working with the darkness once, by me killing him, the Ancestors would turn a blind eye?"
"What?!" Malefor cried.
"Now now, Flair," Because she had calmed now, Cyril was able to walk to her left and sit, making sure unlike before that his wing was draped to her back before continuing, "The only prey you have around here is me, remember? Malefor's life is up to Spyro, so you shouldn't worry about someone as pointless as him."
"Hey...!"
"I'm trying to save your life, dipstick!"
"Oh... yeah..."
"What ever..." Flair didn't really care so much anymore, "I'm too tried to really care for now."
"Hehe. If it would make you feel any better, should I do something bad so your afterlife isn't like hell because I'm there?"
"Cyril... shut up before you piss me off," Flair was a little frustrated to hear that he still didn't understand it, "If I don't see you in the afterlife with me, then it would be hell. I've already said this plenty of times, and if I have to say it again, I'll snap you like a wet stick, and while I don't wish to admit it... I... need you... okay...?" His scales stood with joy hearing such a soothing voice, though he could tell this was more because she was tired then anything, "Your help has given me second thoughts about something... but if you don't continue this support, then I'll surely burn any hope of these second thoughts ever returning."
Cyril had an idea of what these second thoughts may be, and unfortunately, his hopes got the best of him as he had to ask, "Hehe... these seconds thoughts wouldn't happen to be about... you and me... you know..."
"If you keep pushing it too, I will burn your hopes to the ground, understand?" His body locked to hear this as his fears shut his mouth and body movement, "Now..." Sat down next to him, he could feel her head wanting to rest to his shoulder, and so, as he sat, she was able to cuddle with him and close her eyes as she had once done before, "Cuddle me, or die."
"What an amazing request, Hehe."
"Actually... Miss Flair..."
"Miss?" The others all questioned in unison to what Blitz had said.
Flair didn't move her head but rather directed her eyes to Blitz, sighing to him saying, "What?"
"I don't know how... rude this would be for me to ask but, it's about you killing others," Blitz's conversation allowed the others to move back to where they were previously, "How exactly do you do it? Does it come easy for you to take someone else's life or is it difficult?" Flair's head raised to his question, "I mean... to know that someone's lungs are working, to know their heart is pumping, to know their brain is processing everything... how do you deal with knowing that the life you are to take could be just as fleshy and real as you are?" Seeing her sigh for his question, he didn't want her to view herself as a monster for his question, "But don't get me wrong! If someone was to hurt the one I love," Wrapping his wing around the back of Celia, Blitz smiled as he looked to his loved one, "I may kill as well as it's my job to protect the ones I love and hold close. But when I think on it now, how is killing someone really... possible?"
"So you are real, I'm assuming?"
"Uh... Yes...?"
"I don't kill freely and without reason. Truly you've seen those out there you wish to die? Why should I feel for something or someone when they act like monsters?"
"Yeah, but I mean... they have to have their reasons. Maybe abusive parents, betrayal by friends, or hated by many for own opinions."
"You can't save everyone, Blitz. It's okay to have imagination, but not hopes."
"What Flair is trying to say is," Spyro stepped in as he didn't want this to be the lesson learned, "It's not easy, but if you're put in a situation you must survive, then you fight. You can try and save someone's life, but the minute they threaten yours, then they are no longer treating you as something living, so neither should you," It was rather odd to hear Spyro seem so serious about a topic, but a lesson was a lesson as he saw it, and it was better then what Flair had, "I've never killed, so I wouldn't know. But if the day were to come where I was put in a life or death situation, it's only natural that I'd choose life."
"So then why haven't you killed Malefor yet?" Volteer asked.
"I knew you'd say something," Malefor growled at him.
"Hehe," Kettu had to chuckle with his friend Xvar, "It's funny hearing you all talk about lives. Doesn't matter to us. If you're looking for someone to kill, Blitz, just call us up. We don't care either way."
"See, that's the bright side of us too, Spyro," Xvar smiled, "Having us around, we could care less who we kill, so rather then blood being on your paws, it will be on ours. And yet, every night, we'd still sleep like a new born."
"What happened for you two to not care about others lives?" Blitz asked.
"After being kicked so much on the floor, you have to learn to get up before someone else kills you. It's kill or be killed; predator vs prey, and you have to know which side you're on before you're consumed by nothingness," Kettu explained for him.
"But the point is, death shouldn't be the first answer," Spyro had to be the one to close things off before the two gave Blitz the wrong idea, "There's no need for violence in family. No need to kill, no need to choose sides; just the simple understanding of one another, and seeing differences as steps forward, steps to becoming more connected to one another. It's hard to save someone, yet easy to lose them. If we all take a step forward and use what we know to better the world, then one day; violence, this, predator or prey system, will all be a thing of legend."
"Easier said then done, that's for sure," Blitz saw where he was coming from.
"Yet it will never be done if no one does anything. That's why we all can change things one step at a time. Granted, if we keep coming across others like Flair, well, the sun may die out before we gain peace, but..."
"Hey!" Flair growled.
"Not to say you aren't valid in your response!" Spyro looked to her with a drop of sweat and two raised paws to protect his face.
"Damn, Blitz," Now that things had gone rather dim, Malefor grumbled to this, "We had a good thing going around here. We were laughing, joking, poking fun, and even for me, almost dying. But then you came by out of nowhere and were like, 'How does it feel to kill others?' Like, DAMN dude! That ruined the vibe."
"Sorry sorry sorry," Blitz apologized as he understood what he was getting at.
"Well, I'm pretty sure by now, we should be able to head out as the snow should've started awhile ago," Ersa suggested what they should do now.
The others all saw this as a good idea as well. The Four Friends decided they would take lead, moving out of the way and a little down the hallway. They didn't move much further as they waited for the others to catch up. One after another, those in the Chambers made their way out and into the hallway. But one dragon still sat to where they were. Cyril took some steps to the middle of the Chambers before stopping and realizing no one was to his side, or at least, who he wanted. Looking behind himself, a member of the group seemed against the idea now. Others had noticed it as well as they turned before heading down the hallway to make sure everything was okay. Chuckling to her, Cyril asked, "What's wrong, Flair? Are you going to join us?"
She sighed to him asking, "I'm only going to make things worse for you all. You want to enjoy your day, don't you? Maybe... I should just stay."
"Where's this coming from?"
"Uh, her mouth. How else is she supposed to speak?" Malefor chuckled to himself.
"Alright," Smacking him in the back of the head, Malefor growled to see who had done it, and it was Spyro, "You are not going to help this situation, so just move on."
"Did you have to hit me for it?!"
"I could get Kettu and Xvar to deal with you rather then me. So how about you make your pick?"
While those two fought with one another, Cyril tried to ignore them as he comforted her, "Flair..."
"Don't!" She was quick to yell against him before he had anything to say, and she sighed to him, "There's no point in me trying to stay now... History will just repeat itself over and over again with you and me, so rather then fight against you, and to save myself from hearing your mush... I will just join..." Cyril smiled to hear her say, and as she walked to him, she didn't wish for him to get the wrong idea, "But don't think this means anything! I'm simply here to keep certain dragons like Malefor in check. I already had to hear your pathetic ass bitch because you weren't with me, and if I have to hear from the others that you whined all day rather then having fun, I just might kill myself."
"Really hitting the hammer on the nail there," He chuckled as she got it right.
Now that she had joined the group, everyone was able to head down the hall. The four friends ahead had seen them walking down to them, so they made their way as well. With how many dragons were in the hallway now, Flair had to comment on it, and being in the back with just Cyril, it was much easier to keep to just themselves, "I don't remember the Guardians Building being so damn crowded," Looking past everyone and to the front, it was crazy to her how many members really were in the family, "How the hell do you keep track of everyone here? And how with so many different opinions and views I'm assuming on so many topics could you all have such a family?"
"You expect me to force my views on you?" Cyril chuckled.
"You do," She growled.
"Hehe... fair enough... But, it's really not that hard. Why get upset about a difference when that could be used for so much more good? So for example, I like using my brain, but Malefor doesn't, which is very true. We each have our different views and how we perceive things, but that doesn't mean we have to hate each other for it. It's more fun to laugh and enjoy the different views others have as, different views spark imagination, creativity, and proactive thinking."
"So how would you feel on my opinion of killing everyone in Warfang when you're supposed to be protecting everyone?"
"I mean, that's the thing. We all have different opinions, not different hearts. Deep down, we all live and breathe, and all because my opinion differs from yours, that doesn't make me or you any less of who we are. Fights happen because of differences, and one thing is for sure: any word can be more powerful then any attack."
"I'm sure me causing Malefor a few broken ribs, he would have to disagree."
"Flair, I've never made an attempt to hurt you and I never will. You've wanted to kill me back then, hehe, and even now. But be honest, who's really won between you and me? You, and your attempts to kill me, or me, and my attempts to use my words to sooth you the best I could?" Cyril smiled to see Flair growling, but what he mainly focused to was her blush, "Cynder can break Spyro free of his darkness with just a simple, 'I love you'. We don't end wars with fits, but with words. Carith ended the war by showing up and stopping Malefor, and not with her fists, but her words."
"I'm not going to agree that you're right," She scuffed.
"Hehe, and that's perfectly fine."
"Hey, hey hey hey, Volteer," Malefor stood off to the right of Volteer, more in the middle of the group as they spoke.
"Aw hell... Why do you have to be next to me?" Volteer growled as he was having a conversation with Ersa to his left.
"Oh come on, man. Don't be like that. I just simply want to have a normal conversation with you."
"Normal? All this time and yet you still can't lie as well as the Dark Master. Which I guess helps us know it's your dumb ass in control."
"Awwww, I hope to see you in hell too. Anyway, I wanted to ask, how's your relationship with Ersa going?"
"If you ask about my sex life, you're dead."
"Whaaa-ha-haat? I would never. I just want to make sure you're well exercised is all. I mean, did you know, every time you do it, by the end of it, you just ran the equivalent to six whole miles?"
"In that case, Volteer's first time, he ran six miles in like six seconds," Ersa snickered.
"What the hell does that mean?"
"Nothing!" Volteer blocked Ersa's view from Malefor, "Look, Malefor, why on this green earth do I honestly care to know something like that?"
"How long do you think it would take you to run six miles? In bed, I mean," Malefor questioned.
"Why are you asking?"
"Just trying to make sure that I become the greatest mate possible by out performing everyone else here."
"Then you'd have to beat at least ten minutes," Ersa peaked over Volteer's wing which he was quick to bring up and block her view again.
"Wait wait wait!" Malefor now had another perfect idea, "You're an amazing scientist who knows almost all, so I have to ask; is it good to go on for a longer period of time, or shorter? Because if you go on too long, wouldn't you make your girl feel bad because she things she's not that good, or, do you immediately end the night ten seconds in because she's too good, but she gets almost nothing out of it?"
"This can't be a serious conversation we're having," Volteer growled as he squeezed his fingers between the middle of his eyes, getting a headache just from the questions, but to his luck, they had made it to the double door entrance, "Oh! Hey, would you look at that! We're here!"
Stood by the doors, the three males in the group of Friends walked up to the doors, and with a paw against it, they all pushed. As they tried with all their might; pushing with their other paw before even using their wings, they growled and strained as they couldn't open the doors. Spyro sighed to see the three struggling, and so he decided to help out, "Malefor, let's go help."
While Spyro used his darkness to appear at the front, Malefor walked past the group and made it to the front. Now Blitz stood to the left door along with Bolt and Malefor, whereas Spyro stood to the right with Sesal. Now with more power, the five all pushed with all the force they had. But as they pushed and pushed, still nothing. Though from Spyro's side, the door completely cracked, and because of his force, Spyro's paws fell into the door, making a hole in it now to where his paws were. Flair growled to see how stupid the others were being, "Hey! Dumbasses! The door opens inwards too!"
The guys all looked at one other, and sure enough, she was right. Now rather then trying to push it, they open the door inwards. The dimly lit hallway was completely consumed in white and blue as the doors were flung open from the wind. The huge gust nearly pushed the others back, but with the aftermath of the wind came chills and shivers from almost everyone as the wind knocked out the fire within the lanterns that hung to the walls. Those who had chills such as Trish and Ersa snuggled to their male, and though others were able to handle the cold, they still snuggled to the one they were with, aside from Flair. Now that the doors were opened, snow had piled on in through the doorway, showing pounds of snow, which showed off why the door was blocked off. Ersa shivered to see how thick the snow looked and dropped some sweat, "Oh no..."
Making her way to the front, Flair shivered, though not from the cold, "What's oh no?"
Making her way to the front of the group, Ersa placed one paw in the snow after the other, making her way out of the Building and out to the open platform. Her eyes went wide as she looked out to Warfang, but because she wasn't giving any content as to what was wrong, it scared the others. To help ease some of this fear, Volteer believed he knew what was going on, "Something wasn't accounted for," The others watched as he made his way over to her, and rather then walking out with her, he asked at the front of the group, "Was our math off?"
She didn't look at him as she was still shocked at what she was seeing, and now, rather then waiting, the others all wished to follow along as well. As the others made it out in the snow, Cynder stopped as she looked to it. While the others had left aside from Spyro, Cyril, and Flair, the three looked at her to see what she was doing. Cynder's paw reached to the cool white snow nearest to her, but something scared her and forced her body backwards, causing her to bump into Flair's chest. Backing off from her now and to the left wall, she cried in an apologized, "Sorry sorry sorry! I didn't... I didn't mean to bump into you!"
"Whoa whoa whoa, Cynder... What's wrong, my love?" Spyro asked as he took a step towards her, and not only he but the others noticed she stayed to the middle of both the snow and Flair.
"I'm... I'm sorry, I just..." Her voice shivered the same as her body, "I thought I had nothing to worry about when it came to the snow but... Now looking at it... I... I just see... blood, and I just..." The others frowned as they understood her pains before she had even spoken on them, "I'm sorry, I just... I haven't seen snow in so long, and now seeing it again with no real memory to ease me against it... I just... all I can think about when I look down is red... and the body of a dragon I had killed..."
"Cynder..." Spyro murmured, but with Flair walking in front of him and over to her, he didn't advance.
Cynder noticed Flair approaching her, and while she believed she was upset at her for bumping to her chest, it seemed like the opposite, "You're damn right you red, but that's not blood, but me, okay?" Blocking Cynder's view from the snow, she wished to help change her perspective on how she looked at things, "If you ever think of the color red and snow, don't think of it as your past. Think of it as me. I don't care how strong the Terror Of The Skies was, do you honestly believe she'd be able to kill me?" Cynder smiled some as she truly did believe that Flair would've been stronger then her evil side, "Spyro keeps you cool at night, does he not? Because he damn sure better be there for your needs."
"Hehe, it's okay, Flair, he protects me. When we went to the beach, if it wasn't for him... I would've drowned," Cynder was able to smile some now as she didn't need to focus so heavily on fears.
"He's not the only one who's there for you. If you needs us, if you need me, you call my name, okay?"
She smiled to Flair's helping, "I will... thank you... Flair."
Moving her wing for the snow to be visible again, at first, it wasn't, as Spyro stood there now. Rather then heading out, Flair walked back to Cyril and waited with him, making sure she was close by in case any help was needed. Smiling to see Spyro standing there, she sighed, keeping a smile and blush to her face, "Once again you're here to save my life again... aren't you?"
"Hehe," He smiled to her, "You're strong, Cynder, but that doesn't mean you don't need help. I'll be right by your side the entire way, okay?"
She nodded to him. Moving out of her way, she was now free to face her fears. As she faced the snow, Cynder was able to stay calm even as she approached it. Stood at the front of the pile of snow now, with a deep breath, she brought a paw up. Her paw eased itself into the snow, and with her first success came another. However, as she faced straight but not looking completely out into the distance, Blitz decided to lay into the snow, wiggling around for a bit before stopping to what she perceived as death. Flair noticed her shivers, but more importantly, what she was looking. That stupid son of a bitch- Going to take action against Blitz, Cyril followed. But the damage was already done. Her mind was already in full panic as she stood in the snow. As her body locked up and tears started to form, a powerful yet comforting warmth came to her right side. Even with how gone she was, this feeling helped force her body to move, but especially her head. To her right was Spyro, but not in his dark form. His colors shined to her eyes in purple, gold, and orange. His smile got her back to where she needed to be, "You're safe, my love. There's nothing to fear."
She understood why he had done this, why he had chosen to show himself and not his darkened forms, and now this gave her plenty of power to push her. Each paw pushed past and up the snow as it covered her paws and almost the half way mark on her arms and legs. Now in perfect sync with Spyro, she was able to focus to his warmth, to his purple paws, and especially to her own. It's me... and Spyro... He's got you... and he'd never let go of you. Her thoughts helped her to the group, and hearing a loud cry, she was able to look to the others. The cry came to Blitz as Flair held him up by just his horn, "When she's out here, you damn sure better apologize before I feed your eyes to your friends!"
"Please apologize," Bolt and Sesal both begged.
She stilled held him up by the horn, but because Blitz was able to see Cynder now as the two had now joined back up with the group, he made sure to apologize, "Cynder, I'm so sorry! I-Ow...! I didn't mean to scare you!"
"Hehe, Flair, it's okay, you can put him down," Cynder was generous, but Flair was still pissed, throwing him down rather then dropping him, "It wasn't your fault, Blitz. I just... I'm fine," To help get her mind off of what's happened, she wished to know what was going on now, "So what was with Ersa's wide eyes earlier? Did something bad happen?"
"No. She just covered the earth in snow is all," Flair pointed out to Warfang.
Spyro and Cynder were now able to see for themselves for what had happened, and just the same as Ersa, they gave wide eyes to what they were seeing. Warfang was nearly covered in blankets of snow, covering the rooftops and walls so heavily that it was easy to see almost every dragon and mole that lived within Warfang. The snow stretched for miles on end, even making itself to the mountain all the way in the distance. Cynder found enjoyment with the blue covered sky as the sun was able to pass just enough through the clouds to give off such a nice and calming atmosphere. Looking down to see all the dragons that looked to be enjoying the snow, it helped give Cynder something else to smile about. However, the only thing she couldn't smile about was the wind as it blew across the group. Feeling at almost negative temperatures, the females all snuggled to their males, but for Bolt and Sesal, they held themselves, and Bolt looked to his friend, "I g-g-guess will j-j-just d-d-die then, hehe-hehehe..."
"I don't understand how this could've happened!" Ersa felt awful for how much snow covered the entirety of where the eye could see, "I super cooled the water droplets making sure to keep them below zero degrees celsius. I made sure to account for snow metamorphism, the ratio of twenty inches of snow by one inch liquid equivalent, and made sure my chemical bounds would react in direction proportion to the clouds in order to make more rather than having to wait on the water cycle! So what failed?!" No one was complaining as they enjoyed the amount of snow they were seeing, but she was determined to figure it out, "What am I missing?!"
"Did you make sure to account for the outside temperature?" Volteer pointed out which made her head snap over to look at him, "If it was already decently cold, on top of you adding more freeze to the temperature, that would make more snow. Though while you were also helping Cyril, we probably just missed something."
"No!" Ersa growled at him which he ducked his head back for, "I know I did my methods correctly! I made sure to observe, question, research, experiment, and do a test hypothesis all while being able to help Cyril because it's not that hard! And don't you dare say a hypothesis should be made in the middle of research and experiment because I already know that! And I did that too! And why should I make a hypothesis on something I already know as fact! It's not a theory!"
"If it... does help a little... It was rather chilly out here before I added the liquid to the clouds," Spyro was rather afraid to say something, but he had hopes this would've helped, "Even with the help from my darkness, I could feel every wind that blew against my scales."
"And your darkness works as a secondary layer to protect you, correct?"
"Yes..." He was afraid to answer.
"Ooooooooooh, okay," Ersa finally took a sigh now, "So then you were right, Volteer. I expected this day to be a lot hotter, but I was wrong. Should've checked out here before I did my work but, I guess it's okay."
"Upset Ersa scares me," Malefor shivered
"Anyway! Let's go have some fun!"
Backing away from everyone, Ersa opened her wings, turned, and flew to the back of Warfang. Everyone cleared room for the others as they all opened their wings and headed to the back opened area outside of Warfang's walls. Flying so close to Cyril, Flair was able to ask, and since Trish was close by to hear, she didn't have to ask Terrador, "Are you sure it's safe to come out here?! You do realize this is outside those walls that you all think you're so safe behind!"
"So much destruction happens back here that nothing really comes back here!" Cyril answered her, and because of the wind, he had to speak up as she did, "There aren't any gems back here to heal, but because of Spyro and Ignitus, I'm sure we have no worry if someone gets injured! Plus, we went to the beach and didn't have any problems, so there's a big chance we won't have anything to worry about back here!"
"You do realize the day I've had up until this point, right?! Do you really think luck is on my side?!"
"Maybe, but I know I could take that place by your side if luck isn't going to be there!"
"Keep your corny jokes to yourself before I burn that mouth of yours shut!"
"Speaking of destruction, I should probably repair the front door," Ignitus spoke to himself.
With Ersa dipping down up ahead to the ground, the others all followed along. While others landed gracefully to their paws, Malefor decided to go full speed ahead straight into the snow. Everyone else stood to the ground, but with a loud cry, they looked over to see Malefor before he completely disappeared into the snow below. Now the only thing that stuck out was his tail. Carith was rather happy to see this as she approached him, "Hey, my love. Do you want me to pull your tail? Is that what you're asking?" To her surprise, he used his tail as a way of nodding rather then his head, "It's gonna be hard to get a grip on you, but I'm sure I could grab something else to help you out. Maybe something between your hind legs?"
His tail didn't respond, but rather, he acted as a snake now. The others watched with wide eyes to see his body completely suck within the snow, making his own tunnel now. Watching that gave Spyro an idea, and he had to say it out loud, "Damn, I kinda wish that was you, Cynder," She looked to him with a raised brow, "I mean, thinking about you jumping out like a snake and poisoning me to make out with me; and since your body is as slick as a snake, I couldn't tell the difference."
"A snake doesn't have limbs," Volteer pointed out.
"Don't ruin my moment!"
"Hehe, sorry, sorry," The others now went off to do their own thing as of right now, and because they had some privacy, Volteer was able to speak freely with Ersa, "So, page three hundred forty five from book seven," Ersa gasped to hear him mention this, and he chuckled with a blush, "I've read your books in my free time, my love. Even when you sleep, I some times stay awake to read them. It's... difficult to read the time you were away and alone from me, but it's times like these when I can make those moments up for you."
"But... how do you remember..." Ersa shed a tear to hear he really cared, which was no surprise to her, "No... No no no! You don't remember exactly what I wanted."
"Oh? So you're saying, you wishing for our warm bodies to melt the snow around us as I keep you warm both out and in was just an imagination?" Hearing him talk about what she had put was rather embarrassing to hear out loud, and even for him, he had to chuckle, blushing the same as her, "Hehe... you're... very... descriptive... when it comes to what you wish I'd do with you... or... to you..." She had to place a paw to her face as she remembers some awful ones she wished to have burned, and Volteer pointed one out, "Something about how you wish I got stuck and you'd use this as a way for me to... understand... your body so well that I would stay with you after. Or the other one where you get stuck, and I... well... take advantage of you...?"
"What are you doing, step-bro?!" Malefor laughed, scaring the two as his head popped up from the snow in front of them, "Hahaha! That, hahaha! That reminds me of-OOF!"
Before he could continue, Ersa started to stomp Malefor's face back into the snow, "Stay down there! No one asked your stupid ass!"
"It's-OW! It was just-AH! It's just a-AH!"
"I should've burned that stupid book...! I should've burned all of them!"
Malefor kept trying his best to laugh as much as he could even while being stomped in the face, but with one massive stomp, her foot hit the snow. His head suddenly disappeared as it looked like he had been pulled back under the snow by someone, and with a quick look around, they noticed Carith was missing. Scratching the back of his head, Volteer wondered if she was still down for something like what she wanted, "So... is that... a no?"
Grabbing his arm, her body was fully ready, "Either we do it here, or somewhere else! But either way, I'm having my way with you!"
Flair and Cyril didn't travel very far and watched as Volteer was being dragged in a way through the snow as he still sat, but Ersa was relentless. Trying to ignore what they saw, Cyril had a perfect suggestion, "Let's not go where they're going," Flair nodded, though she was still in disgust so she couldn't say anything, "But, hey, what do you say we get this day started?" She looked to him, "I think the snow angel idea would be rather nice, don't you think? Hehe, especially since I'm already an angel, am I not?"
"How am I supposed to have fun if you keep sexually harassing me the entire day?" Flair growled against him.
"What? No, Flair, I just thought it would be a fun idea."
"What the hell is wrong with you, Cyril!" Malefor chuckled as his head popped back up from the snow, but now in front of them.
"I don't need your second opinion!" Flair was quick to slap Malefor on the top of the head with her tail blade, "You're lucky that I'm not sharpening this damn thing and shoving it down your throat!"
"Hehe-ow-hehe, I bet Cyril has something he'd love to shove down your tho-AH!"
With a massive slap to his head, his body sunk back into the snow, being forcefully pulled by Carith as she stayed close behind him. Flair's body now burned in anger for Malefor's words, but Cyril tried his best to ignore him and sooth his voice, "Flair..." Because he eased, she didn't say anything to him yet, "This is your day... and I need to understand that... so, please... what ever you want to do, we'll do. If you want something for us to do, then ask me. But I shouldn't interfere with what you want."
She couldn't find a way to yell to him as he had been easy with her, and so, she was easy back, "Look... If I'm being honest... I just want to sit here for a minute. Maybe later we could build a fort or something..." Flair seemed rather down which Cyril couldn't pinpoint until after she had spoken about her feelings, "The only thing I really enjoyed doing during the snow was making a snowman... I always told my mother that my flames and the cold wouldn't mix, and yet... I built the snow man... whereas she gave it the arms, the nose, and the eyes... We made it together... and she... proved me wrong."
Cyril smiled to hear the support she had from her mother, "So then... would I ruin those moments if I made a snowman with you too?"
"I may cry if you do..."
"Then I will simply behave until you feel comfortable to do something."
"So... what exactly is this called?" Cynder asked, looking in front of her with slightly widened eyes.
"It's called sledding," Spyro explained as he made some preparations for what they were going to do, and she watched as he made a small looking hill out of his ice for the two, "Me and Sparks had a lot of fun back in the day sledding down small steeps, but nothing big like an actual mountain. But now that I have my powers, I can make any kind of mountain that I want," Now thinking about it, he decided to make the hill more medium sized now: almost the size of two large trees stacked on top of one another, "I've always wanted to go fast, and so did Sparks, but every time we went past like five miles per hour, he'd flip out and fly off the board. Not like fly off of it, but like, he used his wings to fly up and off while he watched me continue the fun."
Because the hill was getting rather high, he had to use his wings, and now rather then using his paws to make the ice, he started to use his mouth to speed things up. Cynder was rather afraid of how high the hill was getting, and with her eyes, she followed the path of where they'd go. As her eyes focused across the hill's end, she noticed trees dead in front of them. Shivering at this, she stepped back some. But... if the hill is that high, wouldn't we just slide and slam right into the trees? It was a fear she had, and as Spyro landed back to the ground next to her, she gave her fears, "Spyro... if you're wanting to go fast, aren't we just going to slam into those trees? I'm... not like you... and feeling my back fold as I hit those trees isn't going to feel great..."
"I'm not going to put you in danger," Spyro so easily said as he passed her which made her blush.
Why the hell would I think he would?! Cynder nearly smacked herself in the head for thinking something like this, and she apologized for it, "Spyro, I'm sorry... that was... uncalled for..."
"Cynder, you're scared of the snow, and right now, you're fighting fears that are trying to scare you about everything. It's best that those fears show so one by one, I can knock out each and every one of them. That way, hopefully, by the end of the day, you can really smile on how much you enjoyed your time."
She shed a tear to his words, "Being with you is enough to make any day enjoyable."
"Hehe," Spyro smiled to hear her say, and as he clapped the snow from off his paws, he looked to the trees before yelling out, "If anyone is in the way down from my voice, you better move!"
Watching and wondering what he was going to do, Cynder noticed as he readied himself. Standing up to his back two paws, he clapped them together. With almost a sonic bomb like sound, the trees in front of him were completely leveled for what looked like miles. Every tree that broke was taken back by a gust of wind that ripped them from their stumps, throwing them in all kinds of directions and forcing some to land on top of other trees. Now they had a clear line of sight and view of how far they could travel. Cynder felt a little bad seeing the destruction and had to ask, "I know there's snow piled up and what not but... is the wild life okay?"
"Hehe, Cynder, it's okay. I got that handled too, or at least, Kettu and Xvar did. Which," Bringing them back out now, the two stood in front of him, "Sorry it took me some time to really let you two roam free. Wanted to handle Cynder's fears first by giving me and her something to do. And now with that done, you all are free to head out and do as you please," Even with a wide smile, Spyro waited for them to leave or say something, but they didn't even move which made him frown, "What's wrong? I'm not holding you two back am I?"
"No, it's just..." Kettu didn't really know what to say.
"Never in a million years did we ever expect to have... support... I guess you could say. Especially not from a purple dragon," Xvar couldn't really find the right words either.
"I should've been a better friend to you two. You both have had my back for the longest time, or at least the time you've been here for. This is the start of an alliance, and as I've said, I will do everything I can to right the wrongs of the past," Spyro made sure to keep a smile, and since he knew when his darkness was being messed with, he felt as Kettu and Xvar tried to look for lies in the beats of his heart, "Hehe, guys, I'm not lying to you all. You both saw how destroyed I was when I thought I would've lost Cynder, when I would've lost everyone. I don't want war, I just want peace, for not only me, but your kind the same."
No lies were found in his voice, his heart, or the rest of his body. Kettu growled a little, but not from anger, "Spyro... listen... we aren't good with... thanking, but..."
"Then you don't have to," He was quick to assure the two, "If I ever save someone's life, I don't want to be thanked, as the biggest thank you I could ever receive is seeing you live your life. I want to see that what I did and went through meant something, so if you two truly do wish to show your thanks, then please... go live... go smile, go laugh, go have fun. Live the life you weren't able to have before," Kettu and Xvar had no words, but they surprisingly smiled which was only caught for a fraction of a second as they quickly disappeared, and now with those two happy, Spyro focused to Cynder, "Now, where were we?"
"You know... Spyro... you talk with such a soothing voice," Cynder smiled, "You'd make an amazing father... you know that, right?"
"Hehe, just practicing for when our little one has a nightmare or something."
"O... OUR?!"
"Here. Follow me up so we can have some fun sledding down the mountain."
As he opened his wings, she was quick to follow behind, demanding answers, "What do you mean 'our'?!"
Landed at the top slop of the hill, Spyro remembered back to when he made a board previously. Cynder grumbled with a blush next to him to see he was avoiding the question. Snapping his fingers, he remembered, "Oh, yeah!" With his back facing her, he made the sled for the two while going back to his past to keep a conversation, "Hehe, I can't tell you how many splinters I got making sleds back in the day. I didn't have my powers of course, so I had to use my claws to cut out the wood from trees, carve them, and add safety bars and what not to hold on to. It helped me understand how to make the perfect sled, and also that wood is kind of a bitch to work with."
"How did you get the splinters out?" She took the bait of the conversation.
"Thankfully, with Sparks being small, all it took were his hands. Hehe, damn do I wish I had my powers back in the day too. Now I could push it out, burn it, or use my dark powers to disintegrate a splinter," Now with the sled done, he showed it to her as he turned to face her, "There we go. All done," As she looked at it, he explained to her, "Of course we have the simple curves at the bottom to help slide us down. Then we have the main bed that we sit in, along with two side bars that you hold on to, and in case we're going too fast, I have a small little earth square at the bottom of both sides to slow us when extended. Now with my powers, I can make the boards extra safe," Placing the board down atop the hill, Spyro climbed on to it and sat at the front, "Just because I know you're scared, I'll sit in the front for you, but I'm sure once the adrenaline kicks in, you'll want to be front and center."
Cynder was hesitate as she looked to the board, but seeing Spyro's smile made her take a breath as she needed to calm herself, "Can I... trust... you...?" He raised a brow to her, "I... I trust you more then I trust a board... If you hold on to the bars, could I just hold onto you instead...? I know you might have fun, but... please don't let go of that board and send us both flying off... okay...?"
"If we do fly off, I'll promise to protect you. We may hit a slope or something, but I'll be sure to catch you, okay?"
Taking a deep breath in before letting it out, she was ready to take the chance. He wouldn't force you to do something he didn't believe wasn't safe... he wouldn't do anything to hurt you... he's Spyro... My Purple Guardian, Using her thoughts as another way to ease herself, she approached the board. With one paw on it, she lifted herself up before fully pulling her body up and onto the board. It helped to feel how sturdy the sled was, but her wings were quick to wrap around Spyro as he sat to the front. With her sitting down as well, she scooted as close as she could to him before wrapping her arms around his waist. He could feel the pound of her heart against his back, so he knew he needed to assure her one more time, "Cynder... you got this... You've conquered swimming, you've conquered many fears, and you've even conquered the legendary purple dragon, Spyro."
"Hehe, I haven't conquered you yet," His words helped ease her mind.
"Day isn't over yet."
"Here's to hoping."
All set and ready to go, Spyro scooted forward only slightly to give the board movement and to lean over the hill. This shift in movement made Cynder hold on tighter. Her eyes closed as she felt the board dip, and within seconds, they were flung down the hill at high speeds. While Cynder feared for her life, Spyro had the time of his life as the sled curved off the hill and down to the snow below at zooming speed, "Wooooooooohoooooooo!"
Even with the speed at which they were going, Cynder's eyes opened to see what was going on as nothing had happened yet. Looking over Spyro's shoulder, she watched as tree after tree flew by them with how fast they were going. Even with the speed, and the fears that very much still felt present, a smile started to pear across her face. Feeling the sudden jolt of excitement, seeing Spyro's excitement, and feeling the wind against her face even as cold as it was, something within her started to burn with joy. She couldn't understand it, but she even started to laugh. Because she wasn't so scared anymore, she started to enjoy herself the same, letting out a joyful laugh, "Haha... HahaHA!" Spyro laughed as well to see she was enjoying herself, and even with their speed, the adrenaline got to her, "Hey! Spyro! Want to go faster?!"
"With the power of wind, I agree upon thee!" Spyro smiled as he knew exactly what she wanted to do.
Using the power of her wind now to push them forward, their speed nearly doubled, causing even Spyro to fall back some. He was able to keep his ground, but the board wasn't as strong. Feeling the cracking and loosening of the board, Spyro knew he had to act fast. Turning himself around at just the right moment, he let go of the board and grabbed a hold of Cynder with his wings. Using the squares at the bottom of the board to slow, it simply flipped the board forward as they were going too fast to even attempt a stop. With the squares breaking, and the board flipping up, the two were sent into the air. Even with them flipping off, the two laughed with smiles. Hitting the ground with his back, Spyro held Cynder close as each rolled to their sides one after another before finally rolling to a stop. Things now came to a stop as Cynder laid to Spyro's chest above him. Her head was able to raise, helping her view as she looked to his eyes. Spyro did the same to her, and from this moment, he had to bring up more on the past for fun, "Hehe, you know... I remember back in the day, where you wanted to admit your love for me, but an arrow..."
"Cut the side of your cheek and I thought it was my fault?!" Cynder cried out as she remembered how horrible that day was, "Even to this day, I look back and fear of... what would've happened if I had run away... if you wouldn't have stopped me... if you weren't... there for me as much as you always have been..."
"Says the one who saved my life like five times in less than a month. Whether it be from the battle after, the arrow hitting my lungs, our battles to and from Warfang. And even at the end with our fight against the Dark Master a second time."
"Don't you dare start that. You've saved my life way more then that in the span of like a week... even just a day..." Cynder rested her chin to his chest as she murmured her life, "Is it sad that... even with all you've done... it feels like any second I'm without you is a second that my brain thinks I'm corrupted again... or that I'm being sent to kill someone...?" Spyro smiled as he listened to her speak as he felt the same being without her, "Hehe... it's crazy to think... we talk about each other yet, look at how much more has happened within a month or so. How many there are of us now... It use to just be me and you against the world, but now... it feels like a real family is forming..."
"And it's all because of you," Spyro whispered with ease, and because she rasied her head, he was able to nuzzle his nose against hers which she very much smiled to, "You kept me from kill Malefor, you kept me from kicking Flair out, and for each of the others, you kept me together... kept me from making or saying the wrong thing..." Each helpful word forced a tear from her, but she wasn't alone in the shedding of tears as Spyro had some of his own, "You've saved a lot of lives, Cynder, and I know your parents would be proud to see their amazing little girl grow into someone so beautiful... so heart warming..."
"What are you after?" She growled to him, having to wipe tears from her eyes to him, "No... you know what... don't answer... I'm going to shut that mouth of yours, and you better accept my poison."
"Only if you accept my tongue," He purred back to her.
"No. My mouth is off limits."
"I wasn't talking about your mouth."
"WH...?!"
"You want to go sledding again?" Spyro completely dodged her blush.
"If we weren't out in the open right now, I'd... Oooooooooh! You're asking for it!"
"So will you once you see it," He once again teased her, though this joke completely broke her now as she had nothing to say afterwards, "Hehe... I love you, Cynder. You know that, right?"
"I don't know if I believe you with teases like those," Cynder grumbled.
"I'm... I'm dreaming-there's... there's no way..." Claire was in complete awe along with Ignitus for what they were looking at, "No... no-but I couldn't be... Ignitus... did you put me in a dream?" She looked away from the shocking view to get a clear view of Ignitus as he sat next to her in the snow, and because he didn't answer with words, he answered with a head shake, "But..." Looking back straight ahead, her saying it out loud was even more unbelievable, "Flair and Cyril are building a snowman... together?! And she's not killing him?!" Both watched as the two patted a medium sized ball of snow on top of a much bigger one; showing they had already made the bottom, and now they were starting work on the body, "And here I was thinking this day couldn't get any weirder."
"Hey, guys," The voice was directed to them, and as they turned around, they noticed it was Blitz who had spoken, "I think we should put a little more work to the top," The rest of the family consisting of Terrador, Trish, Blitz, Bolt, Sesal, and Celia all stood in almost a circle around an almost fished Igloo," Now that I'm thinking about it; Terrador, why don't you just make a block of earth and then Celia, Sesal, or Claire could just freeze over it? That way it could stay connected, and you could use a small bit of earth to stab into the other blocks to hold them into place?"
"Where's the fun in that?" Bolt wondered.
"Where's the fun in having a block of ice hit you in the head?"
"You act like it would kill you. Are you scared Celia will see how much of a wimp ass you are?"
"Ah. So because I want a safe and sound structure, that makes me a wimp? That's like if someone was building a house and you wanted it to be secure, but the one building the house was like, "Pfffffffff, safeties for bitches'. It's supposed to be secured!"
"It's an Igloo, not a house."
"It's a joke. So either take it as one, or you can take my fist. Choose your pick."
"Hey," Terrador stopped the two from bickering, "Bolt, I'd rather not have a block of ice hit someone in the head because any amount of force can knock someone out," Blitz spit his tongue at his friend for being right about integrity, but Terrador didn't stop at just Bolt, "As for you, Blitz; I get where you're coming from, but sometimes engaging in stupidity leads to nothing."
"Did you call me stupid for making a joke?" Bolt murmured.
"Terrador, the way we joke is a little... weird. Some things we say may seem aggressive when in reality we don't really mean it. Like when Sesal called my mom hot and how he'd smash that hard enough to make the Destroyer jealous of his devastation, and I said I'd kill him. Doesn't mean I would."
"I'm-sorry... what?" Terrador backed his head up.
"I'm seventeen!" Sesal defended himself, "All I'm saying is, I'll be there to support her if she needs it."
"And smash?" Bolt smiled.
"And smash," He agreed.
"You act like you've never had... ahem... sexual desires, Terrador," Blitz wondered why he seemed so disgusted even with a good reason.
"I did... and it got me nowhere... The only thing it did was prove your heart is meant to be taken by others; in a loving sense... and in abandonment..."
The four friends felt a little bad now, but as Trish was working on finishing things up, she turned the mood around, "Don't worry about him you four," Patting her paws to get the dirt off after placing the final ice block into place that she mainly made with her earth, she both disgusted, and eased the others, "He speaks the truth when it comes to me. I'll take his heart in a loving sense, though the only abandonment he's going to have to endure from now on will be when he, 'abandons' his saliva into me," Terrador blushed while the other four gave huge head shakes to what she had to say, "And also the 'abandonment' of his... fertilizer..."
"OKAY! That's enough enough of that!" Ignitus ran in with Claire to stop this conversation from continuing any further, "Ahem...! So... How's the Igloo coming along?"
"You know..." While Ignitus had engaged into a conversation with the others, Terrador was free to keep his voice low to thank Trish for her words, "Even as embarrassing as your words can be... they do help... and not because they give me hope, even though they, kinda do..." This made Trish giggle, "You really change my perspective on things. And it helps each and every time to know that what you want will never change... But it's... scary to know how much I'm getting attached to you... emotionally speaking..."
"Is me leaving your only fear?" Trish asked, and while it was a simple question, Terrador's shiver wasn't easy.
"It... keeps me awake at night thinking you may leave... that's for sure..."
"Hehe... then it's a real shame I can't comfort you of that fear. But because you fear me leaving, that just helps my fears of knowing you'd never leave me. Though the only fear I have now is of tonight..." He was ready to question her why, but she already gave a response, "What if I don't taste good to you?" He blushed rather hard, and without context, he knew it could've been much worse, "What if my neck is rough, or if my moans or bad, or if you find out I might not be the one for you?! It's just... ugh... it's all just fears... even as good as this day is going, for me at least, what if tonight turns that upside down?"
Terrador knew now it was his time to shine, and with her help, he wished to return the favor, "Then it's a real shame I can't comfort you of that fear..." She was slightly confused by his words, but gave wide eyes as she remembered he was using her words as a way of comfort, "Like I said before, Trish... I'm... excited... for the first time in a long time... And no pressure but... If things do go well tonight... maybe... I'll reconsider my time frame of our love to a week... maybe... even less..."
"Don't do that," Terrador could see every heart beat move and shake Trish's body as she burned with desire, "You know how much pleasing you makes me happy. Don't push a girl this far to the edge with possibly no end in sight of a finish."
"Hehe, easy, Trish, it's okay. I'm a man of my word, and I'll be sure you will always finish before I do," Terrador noticed the drool that started to drip out from her mouth, and rather then saying something that could end up ruining this perfect moment for her, he made sure to keep her excited by teasing her some now, "Hehe... careful with those moans tonight, Trish. Might have to cover those lips with my own."
Trish's lips showed a quiver as she couldn't contain herself, "It's all but assured that you belong to me."
"So... Cyril... just out of curiosity... when was the last time you could remember you had fun playing in the snow?" Flair started a conversation between the two as she worked on the top of the snowman and its head.
"You're curious?" Cyril chuckled as he believed he knew the real reason she was asking.
"Alright, fine... you caught me... I'm only asking because I wish to use this information to destroy you in the future."
"Hehe, well, in that case, I guess I should give you all kinds of information," He didn't fear her in what she had to say, "I guess... the last time I could remember would be back when I was... rather youngish... It was before I really ended up with the Guardians and had a life to myself, though more of a life, with my family. My big brother was almost thirty, whereas I was sixteen. He had the idea for me, him, and our parents to go rather far to a place he knew would snow. He always had everything planned out. He knew the day, time, activities, side activities if we could make it, and the ending. My brother was adventures, and I... looked up to him," Finished with the head of the snowman, Flair looked to him now, "One day... he got into a fight... Both sides ready to kill one another for some reason, but all I knew was... I was scared... I... I couldn't do anything... I saw blood... I saw teeth... and I saw the insides of both my brother, and the other dragon... At the end if it, the dragon died, and for my brother... he didn't care for his pain... Even with the scars, slashes, and holes that showed throughout his body... he came to me... he sat with me... and he held me close..."
Flair noticed his tears as he spoke on his past, and she wished to know more, "But... why...?"
"Because the pain of seeing me cry would never come close to the pain of his wounds..." Cyril chuckled, trying to keep himself together about what had been asked, but even for Flair, hearing that made her frown as well, "Sorry-I... I'm sorry..." Wiping away his tears, he knew he had trailed off, "That wasn't what you asked... I didn't mean to trail off like that..." Flair understood not only his pain, but what it was like to have someone so close be ripped away: to have the only one you trusted leave you, "It was... the last... time... I've ever had fun in the snow... was back then... that's all I can say really..."
Rather then stay quiet about it, Flair gave a sigh, "I understand what you're feeling, Cyril. I know what it's like to have someone you love taken from you..." Hearing him speak about his past once again, and with even more detail, she wanted to know, "So then... how did you do it... how did you push on without any leverage? To be forced into a position where the world continues no matter what's happened to you? How did you deal with all that pressure and loss...?"
"Hehe... well... as Volteer once said... We all suffer in our own ways. The world suffers the loss of stars, the earth suffers the loss of trees, and the same goes for many lives on this planet. But no matter where you are, no matter who you are, there's always someone watching your back. The stars shine for one another, the earth provides for everyone, and those who live can always provide for anyone. No matter who you are, you'll always have to rely on someone, or something, until you die."
"Like your lungs? Or your heart?"
"Hehe, that's true too, but... as an example... When me and the other Guardians came back after dealing with dark forces that were building around Warfang, I... didn't know... if I could keep going... The other Guardians headed home, whereas I... I cried... in an alley... A supposed powerful, almighty Guardian... was crying... by himself... in an alley..."
"Where was Spyro or Cynder to help?" Flair asked, walking up to Cyril as she could see he was starting to collapse in a way.
"This was after they were frozen in a time crystal and it was just us four against the Dark Master... but... I... wouldn't lie to you... I thought... I... considered... killing myself... I looked to my blade, I thought about the relationships I had, those I had around me... and it didn't feel... worth it... I lost my family, was betrayed by my lover... my... mate... and still me and Volteer were at each others throats. Each day it was a fight after fight, and I just... couldn't..."
"What stopped you? Aside from fears of what I'd do to you if you killed yourself?"
"Hehe," Cyril chuckled to her joke, "It was... a Hatchling... that saved my life that day... While in that alley, I heard a happy gasp. As I looked over, the Hatchling ran up to me and hugged my leg. The parents ran over to see their Hatchling hugging me. They apologized for his behavior and said that, 'He's a big fan of yours'. The Hatchling backed away from me and started going crazy with a smile, saying, 'I hope it's okay for me to say, but out of all the Guardians, you're by far my favorite'. I asked why, and he said, 'Because every time I see you, I smile. And while I know my dad could end this war if he wanted to, seeing you out there helps me sleep at night, just as much as when my mom and dad cuddle with me'," Grabbing a hold of the snow now, Cyril looked to the ground, closing his eyes and letting his tears go, "I cried... I... I couldn't do anything else but cry... He hugged me... and I... I needed... to hug him back..." Showing tears of her own, Flair rested her forehead against his, looking to the ground and shedding tears along with him so he knew he wasn't alone in his pain, "I... I couldn't... Flair-I, I couldn't... I..."
"Cyril... it's okay... that time has passed... Remember what you've told me... How it was so few of you, but now, there's an entire family here..." Flair eased him with her voice, and her words were beyond helpful: being exactly what he needed, "The Hatchling helped you... but I have to ask... did the Guardians help you after...? Because if they didn't, I have a tail blade that I could put their names on..."
"Heh-heh..." He was once again able to smile to her jokes, "Don't worry... They cried with me... which only showed just how weak we all truly were at the time..."
"Ah, so what you're saying is," Backing her head up, so did Cyril, and seeing her smile made him give a weak one as well, "The Guardians are nothing but a bunch of weaklings for me to pick off one by one?"
"I mean, you've already asserted yourself as the Alpha around here, so I'm sure you could do it," The two shared a small laugh as they knew it was true, but now with things dying down, he needed to know something, "Flair... what... do I do...?" She rasied a brow to him, "I... I need someone... like... you..." She immediately sighed to hear him say, "No no no! I'm not trying to seduce you or something like that, I just... what... do I do...? I'm afraid of getting hurt, I'm afraid of repeating my past, and I'm just... I'm so scared... of the future... I truly am..."
"If I see you with some other bitch, I'll kill her, you understand?!" Flair showed her teeth, making him duck his head back from her sudden anger, "I'll help this once, but for this one ounce of help, I expect one mountain full of your blood, you understand?!" Cyril shivered to hear her say, but he didn't stay still and was quick to nod, "I can't believe I'm helping someone so weak..." She blushed, though with help from her anger, she kept herself from showing any kind of emotion, "Look, either we're going to end up mates, or you're going to end up dead."
"WH... what?!" This completely caught him by surprise, "Bu-bu-but, I thought you...!"
"SHUT IT AND LET ME SPEAK!" Her voice boomed as she commanded him, and as an obedient dog, his head ducked to the ground, giving her complete dominance and control, "I know what I said, but every time I've hurt you, I've never truly meant it. You're... the only one... I know that I could control without being turned on... You're the only one I can attack without being attacked back... You trust me no matter what, and you have no fear to give me power because you know it helps me... That's why... I know there's no one else I'd rather be with... then you..." Cyril's head raised with a smile which Flair blushed to, but rather him feeling good, she pushed his head back into the snow with her paw, "I didn't say you could raise your head!" He chuckled, and since she didn't put pressure to his head, he just obeyed rather then force her to actually attack him, "But my point is...! I'm either going to end up with you in the end, or you'll end up in the earth's soil! So, if you don't want to go back to the way things were..." Easing her grip, she murmured, "For both our sanity and emotions... you better not leave me..."
"So then, you're saying that you belong to me?!" Cyril's head flung up with a huge smile.
"And?! What if it is?!"
"Hehehe, then would it be okay to say that nibbling your neck was the greatest thing I've ever done in my life?" Cyril was taking steps into death as his words forced more red and red blushes to Flair's face that she tried to fight, "I mean, like, wow... You taste that good just on your neck?! And your moans, the way your body moved in enjoyment as I licked your neck..."
"WHAT'S YOUR POINT?!" She couldn't hear him continue any longer.
"I just..." Sighing, Cyril rubbed his arm as this was the life he wanted, "I'm... glad... when I went through the breakup I did back then... It was tough... not knowing what was next for me... But you... just your voice alone makes me forget the past... it makes me feel so sleepy as I wish to cuddle with you and just... sleep the rest of my life away because... I have everything I want now... I have... you... Flair..."
Flair blushed, and it didn't help that what he was saying made her heart flutter with joy. Everything in her body told her to go for the hug, but she was able to fight back against it, I don't appreciate him knowing exactly how I feel towards him... Damn it, what was I thinking breaking up with him...? It was a mistake she knew would haunt her for the rest of her life. He trusts you... so when this day ends... before, this day ends... you need to fix your mistakes... you need him... and you know that. Since he hadn't spoken while she stayed to her thoughts, Flair was now able to speak at an easy pace, "So, what? You gonna kiss me now?"
"Then I would see that I would've chosen death. We're not... together... anymore. I know what you said but... I also said that I wouldn't advance on you. If you wish for us to stay friends, then I will. If we stay lovers, then we will. I've already seen what life is like without you... and I want to... if at all possible... avoid never being able to see you again... never being able... to talk to you again... like today..."
His shiver scared her as it was rather violent, and for some reason she couldn't figure out, her body just acted, like it was trying to comfort him as quickly as possible, "You really don't care for sex?" It was a surprise for not only him, but her as well, but it had worked, and so she decided to go off of what she had said to get his mind away from today, "I know at some point, you being a disgusting male would want a female to mate with. So how would you handle not being able to deal with your... hormones?"
"Hehe, a little... awkward to talk about that with a female but... after the years of war and loss I've had to endure, it's rather... easy... for me to not think about such things. Of course, when I was biting your neck, I did show my loving side I guess you could say, but..." He chuckled, blushing even as he couldn't lie to her, "It's rather hard to calm myself though as you're the sexiest female to ever live so..."
"Ah. So you're saying, if you aren't able to mate with me, then at some point, you'll become forceful?" She showed her teeth to this.
"Hellllll no. Especially since I know, if I'm not careful, or should I say calm, all it would take is one slice from your tail blade, and then bam... no more Hatchling making for me," She still wasn't convinced about what he was saying, but for now, he wished to move on to more important matters, "I know you don't trust me, and that's okay... It just gives me more and more to improve on as our time goes by, but for now... what do you say we finish up the snowman?" Flair kept an eye on him, but she did move for him to make his way over, "Hehe, so, now all that's left is the features. I can make the eyes and the nose if you wish to get sticks for the arms?"
"I can try and get some real quick," Flair agreed, walking off to find some sticks.
Walking through the snow and up to the snowman, Cyril started work on it to help finish things up. First, he focused on the eyes. Sitting down in front of it, his two paws flipped upright. To both paws, two small circles of ice were formed to his palms. Grabbing a hold of the two pieces, the first eye was placed to the right, whereas the next one was placed to its left. Making sure not to push them too far back to ensure the eyes were visible, now all that was needed from him was the nose. Once again using his paws, he made a shard of ice, but as he noticed the spear like tip, it made him shiver, Let's not make it look like a weapon... or something Flair could pin my head on if I say something wrong. Making the nose a little bulkier, the spear turned more into a normal looking carrot with a decently oval front compared to the deadly tip it once had. There we go. Now with the perfect nose, he dug it into the middle of the snowman's head. Just in time too, Flair came back with two sticks, "Damn... because of all this snow, I had to burn through it rather then dig, so some that I had found, I of course burned," Making her way to the left of the snowman, she placed the stick arm on the side of the middle body, "You know, while I was grabbing these sticks, it made me think about when I stabbed you in the chest."
"Hehe, which time?" Cyril didn't really care that it had happened.
"The time I felt your heart..." Moving around the back of the snowman, she ended up to its right before placing the other stick into it, "It's weird to say but... feeling your heart actually helped me understand that you were... real..." He understood what she meant from what she had talked about back then, but she still clarified as she walked to his left, "It's scary when you think you're the only one who truly exists in this world... and it's even scarier to think about the unknown of death... but..." Grabbing Cyril's paw, he looked to her in surprise, but because she had looked away, he couldn't see her blush, "I'm not scared of what the future holds for me and you..."
"Because no matter what... we'll be there for each other," Still, Cyril couldn't see her reaction, or the tear she shed, and rather looking at her now, he focused to the snowman, "Hehe... perfect... Got the eyes, the nose, the arms, and I guess I could add a mouth..."
"Don't," Flair suggested against it, finally now able to look back to him, "If it's your creation, it'll probably be just as annoying as you. I already have to deal with you following me, but a snowman too?"
"Hehe. That just sounds like a horror story. Is that how life feels like when you're with me?"
"Cyril... don't make a mistake on such a joyful moment for me," Cyril was quick to zip his mouth.
Because he stayed quiet, she was able to enjoy the moment to its fullest now. As her head rested to his shoulder, the two sat with one another. Flair inspected the snowman that she and Cyril had made together, which brought back many memories both old and new, but both caring the same amount of emotional weight as she thought about it, I can't believe... I left my room... I can't believe... I'm where I am now... I can't... believe... I'm developing feelings for someone I should've killed: that I tried to kill. Because of how the snowman looked, a quick look back on what Cyril had said did give her an idea. Maybe... he's right... maybe giving the snowman a smile will brighten things up. But... I don't want to tell him that the smile makes me think of him. Her head raised from his shoulder as she stood, and while he did the same out of fear for her walking off, Flair assured him, "Calm yourself, Cyril. I'm just going to find another stick to break into pieces as a smile. Your ice could work, but I don't want everything to be made out of blue."
"But the snow is white," Cyril should've kept his mouth.
"Would you rather me say I was trying to leave you and expose the truth?" She growled to him before passing by the snowman, "I want to give it a mouth so I can think about all the times you wouldn't shut up. So, maybe a beheading of the snowman will make me think of you, and I can finally enjoy something for once," He swallowed hard to hear her say, and since she hadn't gone far before looking for sticks in the snow, she was easily able to talk to him, "I mean, I could always use you as my anger management dummy, or I could use the snowman. Make your pick."
"Hehe, you know what, I think the snowman was looking at you wrong. You should definitely... use... the snowman... as an... ass..." Not even realizing it, his voice trailed off as he watched Flair stick her ass in the air as she dug down into the snow to find some sticks, and after hearing him say this, her head shot up from the snow and faced directly into his soul, "I meant you should kick his ass! I wasn't staring at your ass or anything, I'm just simply saying!"
She didn't buy what he was saying at all, and with the sharpening of her fins, he nearly froze. Not a single word was said as she went to approach him: tail blade by her side and blood being the only thing on her mind. However, neither two focused to the sky, but a shadow covered Flair in a way from above. His fear was changed to confusion as he looked up. Just as he had, he looked down and heard a loud smush. With wide eyes, he noticed a massive pile of snow had come down from the sky and landed atop of her: forcing her body to become immobile. Flair's head was the only thing that stuck out from the pile of snow. Because of her inability to have any control over her movements whatsoever no matter how much she struggled, fear set in rather quickly. No... No no no... Her mind proceeded to overwork her fears: psyching herself out on what someone would do to her. Cyril could see the fear in her eyes and wished to speak up as he ran over to her, but with his run, she saw this as desperation from him. With no way to even hear what he was saying, the only reaction that was valid from her was an attack like mood, "Stay away...!" He stopped once she said, but with her eyes clenching shut, she couldn't tell if he had listened or not and continued to scare herself, "Get off of me!" Her body struggled and wiggled as it tried its hardest to break free, but now with her eyes wide open and her teeth clenching shut, Flair let off a burst of fire, "GET OFF OF ME!"
The snow showed white at first, but a faint color of red showed brighter and brighter as seconds went by, and within the blink of an eye, the snow exploded off from her body. Standing up as quickly as she could, the remaining snow that stayed against her back melted from the heat of her body. Though the heat was also directed to her paws and arms, melting the snow underneath her and causing her to sink. This once again scared her as it felt like her movements were being forced away from her once again. This scared her once again as her body turned and backed away, giving heavy breaths as she cried, "Stop...!"
Her body backed against Cyril, but with her body still working with her fire, his scales hissed as her body touched his. He growled to this which Flair was quick to look at him in fear over. At this point, everyone had made their way back to the middle to figure out what had happened: including Ersa and Volteer. Luckily, as she looked to Cyril's chest, she had backed off fast enough to not cause any damage. Her body wouldn't calm, and he knew there wasn't much he could do to hold her. Instead, he did what he knew he could do best: and that was to talk to her, "Easy, Flair... easy... you're okay... you're safe..." She saw his wings as he extended them which forced her body back, still afraid of her movements being stolen, "Hehe, hey, remember what you wanted to do? That snowman seemed like he wanted to stop you from killing me. Are you really going to allow that to happen?" Even with a heavy breath, she was still able to hear his voice, so much so that she was able to listen to his murmur, "The others are watching too. Do you want to show them your weakness?"
This now helped her raise her head. Looking all around to see the others were all really looking to her, she looked back to see Cyril's smirk. Even as badly as she wished to smile back, I change up in her act was needed, "If you ever try something like that again...!" Stomping her way to the snowman and not falling through the snow as she had gained control over her fire, her blade and body easily turned in a quick motion as her blade slit the neck of the snowman, causing the head to fall off and down to the ground, "I will not hesitate to cut your throat the same!"
Stomping back over to him, his head went back as she approached him. Even as her blade approached his neck and cuffed itself around it, he closed his eyes, afraid of what she was planning. But to his surprise, it wasn't an attack, but a hug. Her wings wrapped to his back, and for her head, she wished to hide her tears by nuzzling her head against the side of his neck. Just so the others wouldn't see, and to help her out, Cyril blocked the view from the others with one wing: using the other to hold over her back as a way of a hug. Everyone wondered what had really happened, and being close enough to some of the others like Ignitus, Volteer asked him, "What happened...?" Ignitus scooted away from him, giving him the stink eye even, and Volteer questioned, "What...? What did I do...?"
"Until you and Ersa go bathe, you stay away from me," Ignitus blushed, not giving a real reason.
"What? You're confusing me."
"Uh... Volteer... He's not wrong," Ersa whispered to him with a blush.
"Ignitus, you act like you know what happened."
"Oh, I don't. But my clone had to write down what you two were talking about before he couldn't write anything anymore. He strictly came to me and told me to stay away from a certain location," Ignitus knew what was said, and what had been done very clearly.
"He didn't tell you... all of it... did he?" Volteer shivered in embarrassment.
"All he said was that you two were getting warmer then fire dragons, that's all I know."
"Hehehehe," Both Volteer and Ersa giggled to one another knowing what they did.
Now feeling like she calmed down enough, Flair was able to back her head and look to Cyril. He smiled to her, but she didn't smile back. Her vision directed to his chest as she placed a paw over it. A frown showed to his lips as well, understanding why she was doing what she was, and while he was ready to assure her, Flair wanted to speak first, "Even when I say that I don't wish to hurt you... I always do..." Cyril was once again ready to say something, but the show of her blush stopped him, especially the growl she had in her voice, "Let me guess... because of my stupid ass... I deserve to be punished again, don't I."
"What? No, Flair, you were scared," Cyril didn't catch on to what she was saying at first, "You didn't mean it... and plus... I did deserve it as I was... looking at your backside..."
"Cyril... do you want to nibble my neck again or not...?" She was a little more blunt about it.
"Oh..." This caught him by surprise, and while he was ready to answer yes normally, seeing her blush but not paying any attention to him in such an innocent yet angry show, he gave a smug look to her as his answer was much more, seductive, "Oh... I see someone enjoyed her first time..." She growled as he caught on to her, "So accepting for me to continue something you supposedly disgust. But that's okay. I'm sure in time, you'll be begging to moan my name..." Her teeth showed to him saying, but remembering back to what happened last time he said something similar, he jumped back away from her in complete fear, "THAT WAS WRONG!" The others showed wide eyes to hear his sudden yell, "I didn't mean to...!"
"Cyril..." Her voice didn't seem upset, but was rather the opposite, "I'll only kill you if you fail to please. Understood?" A nervous chuckle and a sigh after was all Cyril could do, and now done with him, Flair wanted answers from Ersa, "What the hell was that, Ersa? One minute, I was minding my own business, about to kill Cyril, and then a huge pound of snow comes down from the sky and squishes me. If that was you, Cyril will die by my paws one day, so stop delaying the inevitable."
"Oh, no, that wasn't me," Ersa assured her, "Sometimes the snow will pile together and fall in chunks. I need to do some more tests, and if I had just know the stupid temperature, I could've prevented this."
"And of course. Of all the places that snow could've fallen on, it was..."
While she was mid sentence, a snow ball of which no one had seen where it was thrown or by who, hit Flair against her neck. Everyone gasped, taking steps back as they watched her reaction. At first, she was neutral, but attempting to look at her neck, she wiped the snow from her neck and looked at it. Hearing the hissing from her body, Cyril noticed the snow melting off both her finger and her neck. Turning tail and running, he didn't see her as she clenched her paw with deadly force. Melting the snow all around her body now, she demanded answers with a low voice at first, "Who threw that snowball...?" No one could quite hear her, but with a devastation show of fire as it shot outwards, her voice boomed, "WHO THREW THAT SNOWBALL?!"
"It was Malefor!" Kettu and Xvar were quick to point out as they suddenly appeared next to him.
"What?!" Malefor cried, and without even noticing it, the two placed a snowball in his paw last second, "What?! Wait, no no no! It wasn't me!"
Flair grabbed some snow from the ground, and while it took some time to ball up, she gave a warning, and a threat to everyone, "Listen! You all are either with me, or against me! But just know, if you're against me, you're working for Malefor! But if you work with me, you'll have a high chance to KILL this annoying bastard! And you'll be siding with me," Her voice rallied the troops as everyone raised a snowball to their paws, facing Malefor each with smiles and killer intents, "I'll be very surprised if you live through this."
"But it wasn't me!" Malefor begged for everyone to understand, and even as he looked to Carith, he noticed she had turned against him as well, "WH...?! Ca... Carith... My love...?!"
"After all the teasing, all the hopes you've crushed for me; I'm sorry, handsome. But it's time I take my revenge," Carith had now officially proven that she had turned against him now.
"You... Carith... I... I love you..." Carith smirked whereas Malefor frowned, and since everyone else wished to play their own games, he was going to play one of his own, "So then... I've not only lost the love of my life... but all my friends as well..." His darkness showed as it seemed he was giving into the loss which was unfortunate for Flair as her joy turned into fear, "Then I have nothing else to lose," Faced up to Spyro, everyone noticed he also turned into his dark purple form, gearing up for a fight just the same, "Then if I'm going down, I'm taking you all with me, starting with you, Spyro."
"You're making a big mistake," Spyro played along, "Carith loves you, Malefor. Don't lose her because of your selfishness."
"Malefor, please... If you want me to continue being your love, then be the male that you are and force me to understand with not only your lips... but your tongue..." Carith purred, hoping he would listen to reason, but it was already too late.
"If I survive this fight, you shall have what you desire... but that's also if you still love me in the end for what I'm about to do..." Malefor murmured before jumping into the air and shooting up to the sky.
"No! Malefor!"
"I see you've chosen death," Spyro smirked, zipping from where he sat and up to Malefor.
