Time jump:
Tim, Ziva and Alex were waiting outside for Tony and Abby to show up. Alex was almost completely healed up, with a slight limp in her step. Just earlier she had to explain to Nathan, what had happened. Let's just say, they better not wonder into any woods anytime soon. Tony pulled up behind the others, stepping out with a slight groan and bruised shoulder.
Tim chuckled. "Pass a lot of Volkswagen Beetles on the way up?"
"Abby cheats at punch-buggy." Tony grumbled, swinging his shoulder around.
"I know." Tim whispered.
"What's it look like?" Tony gestured to the burnt car.
Tim sighed. "Like someone stuffed a rag in a gas tank and lit the fuse."
"Toasted our DNA and nearly killed Luna." Ziva added.
Tony frowned, looking from Ziva to Alex. "What do you mean almost killed Luna?"
"We found her laying on the street." Tim said. "Bloody bat a few paces away."
"She okay?" Tony walked over to her, petting her gently. "Any big damage?"
Ziva shook her head. "No, just some stitches."
"Vet said she was really lucky." Tim said.
"Where's Gibbs?" Tony gave her a glance over, inspecting the stitches.
Ziva nodded towards the shop. "Waiting for you inside."
"I'll get my gear." Abby said.
Alex spotted Gibbs and his father walk out. Trotting over to them, he was stopped by Gibbs. 'Don't you dare and send me back.'
Giving her a quick glance over, he nodded. "Alright, come on."
Jackson watched his son and the wolf walk off. It's been a long time, since he's seen him smile like that. "It's in the garage." Gibbs pushed open the garage door, allowing them both to enter first. Alex gapped at the yellow and black muscle car. "426 Hemi. R/T suspension package, just the way you wanted it. Right down to the color." Gibbs stared at it speechless, his eyes whelming up. "Are we gonna stand here staring, or are we gonna get going?" He chuckled at the look his son gave him. "That's right. I said 'we'."
Grabbing the keys from Jackson, he grinned. "Hop in Luna."
Alex jumped into the back seat. Shivers running through her body, at the roaring sound from the engine. 'This is my kind of car!' Gibbs sped out of the garage, swirling into the street. As they turned the corner, Alex stuck her head out the window. Seeing Tony and the others standing by the curb, she snapped at his jacket. Gibbs laughed, slamming his foot on the accelerator. 'Faster!'
With the team:
Ziva and the others got to the mining, just as Nick Kingston and his men were heading out.
"Well, hey, there." Tony walked up to the trio. "You Nick Kingston?"
Nick glanced at Tony, before directing his attention to Ziva. "Now what are you looking for?"
"I got a court order here to take your blood." Tony answered.
Tim appeared behind them, blocking their only other escape. Should they be stupid enough to run. "Your employees, too."
"You're going to make us?" Nick asked.
Tony scoffed, holding up the paper in his hand. "Well, yeah, Nick, that's what the little piece of paper's for."
Ziva glanced at the man standing behind Nick's right shoulder. He had been limping earlier. Seeing him lift his leg and wince, Ziva frowned. "What happened to your leg?"
The man looked up at her stunned. "N-nothing. Animal attack."
"Doesn't seem like nothing." Ziva said.
Nick jumped in, tossing his boy a look. "Rabid dog bit him."
"Dog or wolf?" Tim crossed his arms, waiting for them to deny it.
"Dog." Nick snapped. "Look I am tired, so if you want our blood, do it now."
Tony grinned, pulling out a large needle. "With pleasure."
With Alex:
Alex stood on her hind legs, staring through the window. They were currently at Winslows's home. Gibbs was inside with the man, alone. Alex and his father were outside, making sure no one interrupted. Specifically, a certain sheriff that happened to just pull up. Alex growled lowly, hiding behind the porch, waiting to make her appearance.
"Hello Ed."
"Jack." The sheriff greeted. "Got a report of a disturbance up here."
Jackson nodded, holding his rifle in clear view. "A lot of that going on tonight."
"Too much."
As Ed made a move to walk in, Jack shifted his rifle. "Why don't we sit this one out?"
Ed back off the steps, placing a hand on his pistol. "You know I can't do that Jack."
Alex walked into sight, standing behind Jack. She towered over him, snarling at the Sheriff. Jack reached up, patting her on the side. "I suggest we sit this one out. Luna here isn't in the best mood, don't blame her either. I would to after getting beat by a bat." Jack leaned back, his head falling onto her chest. "She's very overprotective of Jethro."
Ed swallowed hard, stepping away. He wasn't an idiot to go against with a wolf. Hell, had she not been wearing that vest, he could have played it off as a wild attack. Hearing the door swing open, he saw Leroy walk out.
Gibbs paused for a moment, not to surprised to see Ed. "Let's go." Helping his father up, he smirked at seeing the fear in Ed's eyes. "Luna."
Alex jumped off the porch, stopping just a few feet in front of the sheriff. 'Come near Gibbs again and no one, I mean no one, will ever find you. I will hunt you down, rip you to pieces and feed you to the wolves.' With each word, she stepped closer.
"Leroy, call her off!" Ed yelped.
Gibbs looked up, his eyes landing on his pissed off wolf. "Luna, leave him." With a snap of her teeth, she raised her head and tail, waltzing away. "Damn wolf."
As they walked back into the shop, Jackson laughed. "Well, I'm glad that went smooth. Can't even remember where I keep the shells for this thing." He placed the rifle back in its place on the wall."
Alex stopped, slowly glancing up at him. 'What?! Dude I only acted that way, because I thought that thing was loaded!'
"But, with that wolf of yours I sure didn't need it." Jackson said.
Gibbs half smirked, toying with Alex's ear. "What do you have?"
Alex zoned out, only catching a few snips of the conversation. Something about Ethan being blood relative of the Winslows.
'Alex?'
Alex grinned. 'Nathan, hey.'
'Hello love. Just checking up on you. How are you feeling?'
'All healed up. How about you and Eyal?'
'Well, Eyal is being a little bitch right now. But we are all healed up.'
Alex frowned. 'Bitch? Why?'
His laugh echoed. 'I may or may not have dyed his hair pink.'
'P-pink?' Alex chocked on her laughter. 'Please tell me I will get to see it.'
'Oh yeah, it washes out, but only with a special washer. I'll give it to him, after you and Ziva see him.'
'Was this the payback?'
'I had something more dramatic, but this will do.'
'How's the pack?'
'They are still mourning the loss of the pack mates, but doing better.'
'I should have been there.'
'No, you are where you needed right now. Knowing you and Ziva are safe, was the only thing to keep us focus. Our mating bond is still to new love. Having you here that day would have distracted me and the pack.'
'Still I can't let you fight all the battles on your own. We fight together with the pack.'
'Of course love, but remember its not just you now.'
Alex paused, not catching up just yet. Then it clicked. 'Holy shit, I hadn't remember.'
'Give or take a few weeks, you will start getting the symptoms.'
'Can you imagine!' She couldn't hold back the excitement in her voice. The simple thought of seeing her pup or pups running around and growing had her beaming.
'I have, ever since I met you. All I could think about was building a family with you and Aaron.'
'I am just happy it was you.' Although deep down she knew something would always be missing. Gibbs. As long as she never had him, she would always have that empty feeling in her. 'Hey, I have to go. The team is on the move.'
'Alright, see you when you get back.'
"Luna, come!" Gibbs held the passenger door open for her. "Hop in. Tony backseat."
By now it wasn't surprising for Tony. "Yes boss."
The team arrived at the Winslows home once more. The family were currently sitting at the dinner table, waiting for them. Alex stood beside Gibbs, watching Nick Kingston.
"Ed's locking up those two boys from the mine." Gibbs began. "For killing Taylor. Trying to kill Ethan and Luna. He'll live. I thought you'd want to know. Since he's family."
Nick glanced up at Gibbs. "What do you mean?"
"Blood relative." Gibbs replied.
Nick scoffed. "I knew it."
Mr. Winslow, sighed. "Nick-"
"Chris is his son." Nick leaned forward, growling at his wife. "I always knew it."
'Not where I thought this was going.'
Emil desperately shook her head. "No. I was already pregnant when he got out of prison. It broke his heart, but he didn't want to tear apart our family. You won."
'Ouch.'
"You gave him your ring." Gibbs said.
"But I never slept with him." Emily replied, her eyes never wavering from Nick. "I swear."
"I don't believe you."
'Alright, I knew this guy was a jerk, but damn.'
"Well, you should." Gibbs walked over, tossing a manila folder in front of Nick. "Chris is your son." He turned to the father. "And Ethan is yours."
'Seriously? I literally just walked into a soap opera.' Hearing one of the stairs squeak, I walked out to find Chris hiding. Glancing at my team, I made my way up the stairs. 'You really shouldn't be here kid. Come on, upstairs.' Nudging him up to the steps, they sat at the top. Chris sat down, leaning into her side. She listened in on the conversation, while keeping the boy calm.
"Now you know." That was the father.
"Why didn't you every say so?" Emily asked.
"It would have meant acknowledging an heir to your fortune." Gibbs said.
A slight gasp was heard. "You sent them after Ethan?" Emily cried.
"I've done a lot of things in my life, but-"
"Even you wouldn't try to kill your own son." Gibbs jumped in.
Alex rolled her eyes. 'Let the man talk Jethro.' Chris shifted to lay across her front paws. Laying her head over him, she sighed. Hearing movement, Alex just knew he was leaning across the table.
"You sighed the time cards for those two miners." Gibbs said. "They weren't there, but you knew where they really were."
The clicking of handcuffs was heard, followed by Tony's ordered to get up.
Emily's crying turned to sobbing. "Why, couldn't you ever just believe me?"
Alex moved her head to ensure the kids face was covered. No child needed to see their father being walked out in handcuffs. Barking in a whisper, she caught Ziva's attention. Shortly after Emily came running up, gently picking the sleeping child. Alex felt bad for them, but maybe now they can fix things with Ethan.
The next morning the team were ready to head back home. Abby and Tim were loading the equipment into the car. Alex sat by the door, watching the peaceful town go about their day. Almost as if nothing had ever happened. Got to love the town life.
"Shotgun!" Both Tim and Abby called, rushing to the front seat.
Alex chuckled, at the look of shock they had to find Ziva in the front seat. 'They should have seen that coming from a mile away.' Seeing Gibbs hand, the keys to Tony, Alex grinned. 'Tell me we are taking the Hemi!'
"Give us a call sometime." Jackson said.
Gibbs nodded. "Least I can do." Pulling him into a tight hug, he whispered. "Goodbye dad."
"And take care that wolf of yours." Jackson said, pulling back. "She is one of a kind."
"Don't have to tell me, I already know." Gibbs replied.
Jackson bent down, patting her on the head. "Look out for my boy Luna."
'Always.'
Time jump:
The moment Alex stepped into the apartment, she jumped onto the couch and exhaled slowly. All she wanted to do was sleep. Ziva had jumped into the shower, changing into a pair of sweats and tank top. Grabbing a box from the shelve, she curled up on the couch. Turning on some soft music for Alex. Alex moved from the couch, jumping onto the one Ziva was one. Of course, the peace didn't last long, when there was a knock on the door.
"It's open Eyal." Ziva yelled.
Eyal walked in with a look of disapproval. "Neshama, you really shouldn't leave the door unlocked."
Ziva glanced up from her book, only to bust out laughing. "Wh-What happened to you?!" Ziva continued to laugh, holding onto her side. "Eyal!"
Eyal sighed, running a hand through his pink hair. "A co-worker of mine played a joke on me." His eyes fell on Alex, glaring at the laughing wolf. "Luckily it's already washing out."
"Wait it was brighter than that?" Ziva laughed, gesturing for him to get closer. His had small patches of pink left on them. The blackness of his hair already breaking through the color.
Eyal nodded. "Yes." Lifting his head up, he pulled her into a kiss. "I missed you."
"I did as well." Ziva scooted over, giving Eyal a chance to sit down, careful to not disturb the wolf beside her. Snuggling into his side, her back was leaning against his side. Eyal's arm draped over her shoulder. "Do you want something to drink?"
Eyal laid his head back, humming a no. "Just stay like this. I missed holding you."
Alex couldn't help, but feel like a third wheel. She missed being in Nathans arms. She wanted to be able to do and have what Eyal and Ziva had. She missed him. And she missed Gibbs. With a slight whimper, Alex moved to lay on Ziva's lap. Her free hand landed on the top of her head, running her nails up and down her scalp. Leaning closer to Ziva, Alex tried focusing on her heart beat. To her surprised, she was hearing two heart beats. Pulling back, she tilted her head to the side. 'What the hell?' Using her nose, she poked Ziva's belly. The second heart beat jumped. 'Whoa!'
"Luna, what's the matter?" Ziva asked, grabbing her gently under the jaw. "My gut growling?"
'What is it?' Eyal asked, his eyes filling with panic.
Alex glanced from Eyal to Ziva's stomach. 'I hear another heartbeat.'
Eyal frowned, not quiet catching on. 'What?'
'Ziva is pregnant.'
