"Fire has always been cleansing don't you think?"
Santana turned to look at Emma who was daintily wiping her hands on a handkerchief. She didn't want to know which vampire she'd run into. Hopefully, it wasn't one of the few vampires she could tolerate like Blaine. "I did what you asked, and you promised to set my parents free."
"I don't quite think you did do what I asked—" Emma began, pointing at the flames and the wreckage that was the manor. "Though I didn't expect them to willing seek the true death for you."
"You didn't understand our relationship at all, sure they teased me, and poked at me but they loved me and I loved them, even if they were the most annoying people on the planet sometimes. They sacrificed themselves for me, and you promised to set my parents free Emma." Santana said inhaling deeply. Hopefully this was all part of the twin's plan and they could wait until she was certain that Emma was going to break or keep her promise."
Emma smiled, "I am a vampire that keeps my word Santana but we're not even close to being done."
"I just blew up my home, I just killed the people I love, and you want me to wait. I've done more of my share, and I've got nothing left to lose. If you want to use me Emma, fine, but I've acted in good faith. Now it's your turn."
Emma entered Santana's personal space frowning slightly when she didn't flinch and sighed. "Very well, your parents are free."
"I'm not going to take your word for it, I need to see it." Santana frowns crossing her arms over her chest. "I'll work with you but not as your slave. Just an unwilling partner."
Emma inhales deeply before her face stretches out into a smile, "Don't go anywhere."
There was nowhere she was going, and instead she turns back to look at what used to be her home. The heat from the flames made her feel uncomfortable. She didn't want to admit that she was worried, but flames had always been a sure-fire way to kill vamps. Charlie had informed her of it. Were they still in there? Were they listening to what was going on? Were they currently healing? Charlie was always low on blood, was she okay? Santana looks down at her shadow for a moment, maybe they had hidden in the shadows, it was impossible to tell at this moment and she wished that they would give her a message.
Maybe it would be easier to find out who was still alive from the manor. Or if at the very least Sam had made it out okay. Though it was possible that Emma had picked off each vampire one by one as they left. Which could possibly mean that she was alone, and if she was alone there would be no getting the drop on Emma, and even if she did. This wasn't like before where the twins had kept her safe by their mere presence. She imagined there would be severe consequences and with her parents lives on the line, nothing would be done.
"Shit." Santana muttered biting on the tip of her thumb. She was trapped truly trapped, right now. If she managed to come out of this with her head attached to her body, she was going to take Charlie's training seriously and stop seducing Charlie into taking it easy on her.
It doesn't take long for Emma to come back. It would be a comical sight to behold to see her father, as tall and as strong as he was to be slung over the shoulder of a mousy redhead. But it isn't as she watches Emma drop her father like he's nothing more than a sack of rocks. "It's a good thing I predicted that you would do this and brought him along."
Santana moved to her father, "And my mother?"
"Your mother? I never put her under my control, in fact she's still very much at home, I do imagine she's worrying about what's going on. She'll probably need to see someone about this, that can be arranged of course."
Santana scowls, "What I want is for you to stay the hell away from my family and leave me alone. Now free him."
"You're lucky you know, that I've managed to perfect my art." Emma said placing a hand on her father's head. "What I did to William—that was unintentional. He was a failed experiment, it's a shame because William had potential, but I've gotten better. More precise with my control."
"And turning them into vampires?"
"A nifty trick that you learn as you get older. A trick that many in the court are eager to use, I personally would prefer if my brethren didn't. We need humanity to be free." Emma explains before letting Santana's father go. She turns her attention to the burning manor. "This would be the perfect backdrop for the revolution. I do believe that we should invite the media, have you and your father discussed plans to free the rest of humanity."
Santana scowls, "And if I don't?"
Emma laughs, "Santana, I could easily kill your family. Sue's pit bulls are gone, and Sue? The Red Court will be thrown into disarray, as Sue's rule is questioned and by the time we would have turned the tides on the Red Court. You should be used to being a prisoner Santana, because you'll never be free."
Santana swallowed, she was never ever going to complain about the twins ever again. "I think you're going to have to kill me first, because I'm not helping you. The twins were listening, I mean sure they're the worst listeners but they were making efforts and trying to bring humanity up, we could have achieved peace. I'm not going to do it, I'm not going to be your pawn or prisoner."
Emma tilted her head slightly, before grabbing Miguel's wrist, holding it in a rather dainty fashion, she puts pressure on the bones, causing Miguel to scream out in pain. "I can kill your father without spilling a drop of blood. I can make it slow and prolong it. Or how about I simply turn him now?"
Santana gritted her teeth. She needed a bit more time, maybe they were healing, but her father was a tough man. He had survived worse before. "I never understood the hostage situation, if you kill him, if you hurt him I'm less inclined to do as you say. Find some other meat puppet and leave me and my family alone. I've done my part. I've cleared the path for you. There are others who you could use." Santana frowned. Something had caught her eye, it had only been for a moment but she could have sworn that Emma's shadow had flickered.
"I've lost count of how long I've been alive Santana. You don't want me to break you. So, either I start breaking your father's bones now, or you submit, and we move on to the next phase of my plan."
"Submit?" Santana licks her lips slowly, a small smile crossing her features. "Wanky."
Emma blinked surprised at the response, before turning her head slightly just in time to dodge the shadow chains that had appeared to wrap around her neck. It was the wrong move as suddenly her legs were wrapped in shadows causing her to trip and fall. She immediately begins to claw at the shadows, but the action only causes the shadows too tighten. "What is this?" She snaps looking at Santana. "What are you?"
Santana moves to help her father away from Emma, she would need to get him to a hospital soon. She doesn't bother to look at Emma as she helps her father to a nearby vehicle. "Thank you, Charlie," she mumbles. She'd never been more thankful that Charlie was who she was.
"I'm beginning to think you can't tell us apart. That's hurtful." Quinn's tone is indignant even though there is a smile on her face.
