Wow, it has been a long time since I last updated, hasn't it? I would like to apologize for that but as it is both the festive and exam season, I have to put my life ahead of these stories. That being said, with exams wrapping up soon, I'll be free to do more writing. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to finish both the I-island Arc and make some good headway into the Summer-camp raid Arc. With my other story, I'm not sure what to do with it, continue it, or restart it using an older idea I had for a villain Izuku story. As I can't make that decision, I'll open a poll for all of you to pick, that pole will be kept open until the 20th so please take the time to make your choice.

Chapter 43: The Real monster in the Tower.

(Previously)

"How many of them?" With said boss, he was still in the reception hall and he had just been contacted so that he could be notified of this….unforeseen development. "They got how far?" He asked as he felt himself growing not just in annoyance at hearing of their progress but also interest. This could be interesting. "I'll deal with you later, these punks certainly have some guts to them, and skill or maybe luck. Either way, ran their IDs and match them to facial recognition. I want to know who thinks they can screw with my plans and get away with it."

"Sir, I just scanned their faces and IDs. They almost all hero students, from UA." The grey-haired one said as he looked through the info the systems had just given them and he felt like this was going to be a rough night.

"Damn, looks like we got some junior heroes? What year?" Their boss asked as though he wasn't from Japan, most knew of the school that produced a hero as capable as All Might. To have students from that same school running around could be very bad for them if left unchecked.

"First years, but they are mostly made up of those who made it to the 1v1 in the festival. Including the kid that took first place." The grey-haired one said as he looked at the image of Midoriya on screen alongside his performance at the festival. Hearing this, their boss just chuckled as if he had just heard an amusing joke.

"So some quirkless kid and his friends then. What about the others?" The boss said to himself, though at this time, he had moved to stand near Inko and Hisashi, allowing both to hear him and they could only think of one person that he could be talking about.

'Izuku?!' They both thought to themselves, worried sick that their son was about to do something both heroic and very stupid.

"They have David's daughter with them, they also have a pro with them. Someone by the name of Mt. Lady." The grey-haired reported as he also made out two blondes in the group, one of whom was their insurance to ensure the good doctor did what he was told. The other was a pro from Japan, known to be quite popular and rising in the rankings back in her home country.

"Great, so they have actual hero back-up." Their boss ticked to himself as this just got harder. He didn't know who the hell this Mt. Lady was but odds are, she was trouble. "You two, end them off on the 130th floor." He said as he gestured for two of his men to rush out and go meet their uninvited guests. "Make sure that they don't get any further than that, understand?"

"Crystal." The grey-haired one replied as he gulped down his fear. He figured that his boss will have words with him on how these brats and one pro got past his watch.

(And now – 130th Floor: Laboratory)

"That's a lot of robots. What are they even doing here?" Uraraka asked as the group looked through the door at another room they would need to transverse through. This one different from the last lab they had crossed as where that one was an aquatic one, this seemed more computer as the floor itself was covered in servers and other techno stuff she had no hope of identifying. Above that were four simple walkways which lead to the center of the room where there was a computer terminal. But the real obstacle was the fact there were easily 2 dozen red security drones patrolling on those few walkways.

"Security drones, but they shouldn't have deployed on their own, which means." Mellissa started to explain to them as she took a look at them.

"We've been made and the villains want us taken down or taken out." Yu finished the thought as she hang back as she tried to think of a way for them to get past without fighting. Not only would they be limited in their quirks in there but for someone like her, who needs open space to even use their quirk at all, she'll be fighting quirkless unless she risked damaging those servers.

"That's not the biggest of our worries, look." Todoroki said as he gestured to the back of the drones, near the center where the computer was. In front of it, waiting for them were two villains with the first being tall, pale, and skinny with webbed-looking hands while the second was short, shorter than Uraraka but very rounded in what he assumed was mostly muscle. "They sent two guys as well. They must have realized that we're hero course students."

"What's our play then?" Iida asked as he geared up for the possibility of them just rushing them and hoping to get past them all fast enough. Even if speed was his thing, he didn't think the others slow by any margin, they'll just need some sort of distraction.

"That's simple." A voice said over the overhead speakers, catching off guard as the door in front of them opened on its own, drawing the attention of the two villains and the many drones in the room. "You all get to be beat." The voice taunted them before it cut away, leaving them exposed and in the open.

"Shit!" Midoriya cursed as they all were forced to enter the room now that they had been made.

"So, you're the bunch that has been screwing with our affairs tonight? I was expecting more than a bunch of snot nose brats and their baby sister." One of the villains, the tall one sneered at them with annoyance as the drones started to move on them.

"Better than sending chubby and a toothpick. Your boss short on manpower or are you all this lame?" Midoriya insulted them as they all get ready to fight as Kendo increased the size of her hands, Iida got into a runner's stance, Tetsutetsu activated his quirk, Todoroki got ready to lay down some heat while lastly, Midoriya got his nightsticks ready for a fight.

"Chubby? I'll show you chubby!" The short one yelled back at him as he started to change, growing larger and bulkier as he activated his quirk, turning him into a large purple musclebound brawler who charged them. His partner not far behind as he dashed forward as well, proving to be the faster of the two as he stretched out one hand in preparation for his attack.

"You're gonna pay for that, you little shit!" The taller one yelled as he shot out his hand, sending a white air looking tunnel towards the group, who in return, jumped out of the way as the shot took out a couple of drones, leaving them broken on the floor as pieces of them had been removed, as if by a fine cut blade.

"Scatter!" Yu yelled at them as they all started to fight with most of them focusing on the drones while the rest went to work trying to deal with the two villains. The purple one tried to take out Midoriya with a single punch but he managed to dodge the attack before using his outstretched arm as a jumping board to get behind him where he aimed both his nightsticks at his back but even though electrified, the weapons didn't do anything to the guy as he merely turned and attempted to backhand him, forcing him back to avoid the hit.

"Tough skin, this one has." Midoriya mentioned as he figured that this wasn't a fight he could win, not with the time limit they were on with the rather limited options he had going for him.

"Your little sticks aren't going to do a damn thing against me." The purple villain told him as he turned around to face him and most likely beat him into a pulp, but with his back turned, he found himself struck again only this time, the blow staggered him into the railing.

"What about me!" Tetsutetsu challenged him as he activated his full gauntlet on his right arm, allowing the tool to form and cover up the back of his hand, knuckles, and forearm before he smashed his fists together. "Let's see how you match up against some good old steel." He finished as he charged him, joining the carnage as the two groups fought against the other.

"We don't have a lot of room to work with here." Yaoyorozu noted as she used her bō staff while she had given Jiro a one-handed sword much like the one she did during the USJ attack.

"No we don't, I can't even use my quirk in this place, not without damaging the building." Yu agreed with her as this was the reason she avoided working in buildings, even if she knew self-defense, she was at a major disadvantage here. "Mellissa, can you do something about those bots and the security?" She asked the genius they had all been protecting this whole time as the rest of them fought off their attackers.

"I can try, but I'll need time." Mellissa told them as these computers weren't connected to the main security but she could make use of them to try and disrupt it using her passcodes and workarounds.

"You heard the lady, give her some breathing room." Jiro called out to the rest as they slowly started to escort the blonde American towards the main computer as they left the others to keep their path as clear as possible.

"Get these things away from me!" Mineta yelped out as he tossed ball after ball at the floor in front of the bots, slowing them down as they run into them and found themselves stuck or falling over from their momentum carrying them forward.

"Chill, Mineta, we got this. They're just some robots which means that it's my time to shine. Indiscriminate shock: 1.3 million volts!" Kaminari said as he jumped headfirst into a large grouping of robots and tried to fry them like he did the ones used during UA entrance exam and the sports festival but unlike those, these didn't give.

"It's not working, they must be shielded. Pull him outta there now!" Midoriya ordered as Uraraka used her quirk to make some of the ones they were fighting weightless, Midoriya would then use them as projectiles and throw them as hard as he could towards the others, giving them pause as they took damage and found their path to them blocked.

"I got it!" Iida nodded his head as he went forwards to try and retrieve his classmate before he could be taken but he was intercepted by the skinny, tall villain who had broken away from his fight with Todoroki to try and take him out.

"Oh no, you don't!" He told the boy as he prepared to try and hit him with his quirk but found himself bathed in flames, forcing him back with some burns as Todoroki caught up with him

"You got your problems right now." Todoroki told him, his left side at the ready as he let loose another blast of flames towards the villain. Forcing him to fall back and just watch as Iida was able to grab onto Kaminari and pull him out of there before he was captured.

"We made it." Mellissa cheered as she quickly got to work booting up the terminal before trying to access the main security. It may not be part of that network but she knew enough about the system to be able to at least gain some level of access with her codes and passwords.

"You guys keep those two busy. We got the robots." Yu told the others as she along with Yaoyorozu and Jiro kept guard on Mellissa, ensuring that she could do her part as quickly as possible.

"Got it!" Kendo was the first to reply as she used her giant hands to try and crash a couple of bots and though they creaked and bent, they didn't break. When that didn't work, she eyed another group of them and then use the two she had as rocks and threw them towards them, knocking most down and sending a couple off the rails.

"I'll stay close to her, just in case." Yu told the other two as though she knew how to fight without her quirk, this was way out of her area and she had to accept that.

"We got a plan then, good luck." Yaoyorozu told her as she quickly turned around and started to create something while Jiro joined the fray, helping Uraraka and Midoriya as they went to town on their little group.

"They got some tough shells. These things are stronger than the scarps we fought to get into UA." Midoriya noted as he rammed his nightstick into one's red-eye as hard as he could, breaking it but the damn thing still kept coming despite not being able to see. Uraraka for her part had made just one weightless now and was using it as a weapon as she knocked aside the others but she found herself slowly being overwhelmed by their number. Iida and Kaminari were in a similar spot as though his kicks hit like a train, these things were built to last, however before one of them could get the jump on Kaminari, there was a deafening blast and the bot found itself turned to scrap metal. This paused the action for a moment as everyone turned to see just what the hell that was and to the shock of the villains and relief of the students, they found that the source was Yaoyorozu, brandishing an honest to God RPG and loading another rocket into it with another two laid out next to her.

"But not tough enough." Yaoyorozu smiled as she felt glad that her little gamble had worked as if that rocket had gone off course, it would have caused a lot of damage to the room and maybe even the structure of the building. Not letting up, she finished loading the next shot as everyone went back to the fight and took aim again.

"Mineta, start laying down your balls. It'll slow them down." Kendo told the short boy she found herself next to as she worked to give him the space he needed to keep throwing his balls at the bots. He didn't give a verbal response but he started laying down a thick, wide field of them on the walkway in front of them as now, even the robots that jumped over their stuck brothers just ended up worse off than them as all their legs landed or touched a ball, halting them entirely. As this happened, Yaoyorozu took aim for the large one and fired again, but his partner saw this and used his quirk to destroy the rocket mid-flight. With him distracted, Todoroki managed to freeze his feet to the flow, not expecting this change of power, the villains couldn't act in time to block the strike to the face which knocked him out. This now only left a quarter of the bots and just one villain who now both Iida and Todoroki converged on as he went blow for blow with Tetsutetsu who once more, using the power of One for All to increase his speed but also his strength as he tanked a blow to the gut and returned it with an elbow to the villain's left pec.

"I'm not letting myself be beat by some dumb robots, I still need to get that harem!" Mineta cried out as his scalp started to bleed a bit from all the ball throwing, this gave pause to Kendo who told him to slow down seeing how this was only the 130th floor, they still needed to get up another 69 to stop the villains which meant he needed to pace himself.

"Well, never let it be said he isn't motivated." Mellissa said as she had heard that little comment as she worked through the system and found some success as she forced her way into the security network and now in a cyber-battle with whoever was controlling things. She knew she didn't have a lot of them before either they or the system itself kicked her out she did what she could with the time she had bought.

"I'm getting real tired of this, you brat." The purple villain, now bruised, slightly burnt, and tired, told Tetsutetsu as he faced off against him, Iida and Todoroki, both of which have landed some blows on him once they entered the fight.

"At least my breath doesn't smell like fish, you need a breath mint." Tetsutetsu, having gotten his fair share of scarps and bruises, responded as he found that this guy was tougher than he looked. It was like that one sparring match he had with Kirishima which ended when the two of them knocked the other out.

"How far are you with that?" Yu asked Mellissa as she watched as Uraraka, Yaoyorozu, Jiro, Kaminari, Mineta, Kendo, and Midoriya finished up the last of the robots with Kendo picking up two at a time, one on each hand as she then bashed them together, head to head. That managed to destroy them as the armor around their heads gave in after the 2nd blow and the bot was rendered busted with the 4th. Jiro was rushing through the minefield of Mineta's balls, using her earphone jacks to reach into the clinks of their armor and sending devastating sound waved through their internal structure. Kaminari had borrowed one of Midoriya's nightsticks and was using it to targeted blasts of electricity through the bots via their eyes once he used said nightstick to break through them. Yaoyorozu had joined Midoriya as the two used good old fashioned martial arts to take care of the rest, the girl was no doubt actively not using her quirk to save her remaining lipids for later.

"This terminal isn't connected to the main security network, there is only so much I can do." Mellissa responded as she worked as hard as she could to finish up what she was doing as the system had already caught onto her and was working to shut her out.

"Jiro, are they any more coming?" Midoriya called out as he wiped some sweat off his face as he bashed another bot through its eye, this time hitting harder so that the nightstick went deep enough to mess with its wiring.

"Yeah, from the left!" Jiro replied as she gestured towards the left where another horde of bots were heading right for them. Seeing this, Midoriya acted as he jumped over Yaoyorozu to the discarded RPG on the floor, which thankfully still had the one rocker in it. He picked it up in the roll as he landed and once he got into a crouch, he aimed it downrange.

"Then that's a good thing I have good aim." Midoriya said as he pulled the trigger, nearly falling over from the recoil of the shot. The rocket flew right down their center and blew apart a good few while sending the damaged rest off the rails, landing on some of the servers and damaging them but that was kinda unavoidable. "That'll slow them down." He finished as he tossed the spent RPG to the side and got back up to see the last of the bots be defeated. Over with Iida, Todoroki, and Tetsutetsu, they just finished wrapping up their fight as Iida landed a kick to the back of one of the villain's knees, sending him down as Tetsutetsu came up and gave him a wicked uppercut which knocked him out. Still, Todoroki didn't take any chances, and like with the other guy, he froze him up to his neck to immobilize him.

"And done!" Mellissa cheered as she was just kicked off the system but didn't seem sad or angry in the slightest, quite the opposite. "I turned off the cameras from here to the 160th floor but that was all I could do, they'll work around it soon." She told them, giving them some good news as it meant that whoever was watching them just lost his eyes on them.

"Then we don't have time to waste." Yu told the group who all nodded as they gathered once more, now that their enemies had been dealt with.

"Yeah, let's go." Todoroki suggested as he pointed towards the other way into the room, the one that they had wanted to go to in the first place. As they all started to move towards it, Midoriya slowed down a bit to walk alongside Tetsutetsu who with his quirk off, sported some bruises here and there along with his suit being torn and ragged looking.

"You good?" He asked the guy who looked down at himself, glad that he had used his two quirks in that fight to begin with but still, it did hurt.

"He didn't hit that hard." Tetsutetsu replied as he was just thankful that he also managed to make good use of the full gauntlet.

"By the way, where you get that new gauntlet?" Kendo asked him as she came up to join them as they left the lab behind and continued onward towards some stairs.

"It was a gift from Melissa. It really helped." Tetsutetsu said as he smiled towards the blonde who gave him one in return, glad that her work proved itself.

"I'm so glad you brought it." Mellissa told him as the group ran up the stairs.

"Well, I couldn't get it off my arm so I didn't have much of a choice?" Tetsutetsu responded, feeling his cheeks burn as some in the group downright laughed at that while others just gave small smiles.

(With Wolfram)

"What?" All was not well on the other side of this little game of cat and mouse combined with snakes and ladders as it had been almost 10 full minutes since he got word that the wanna-be heroes triggered his trap on the 130th floor yet he had heard nothing from them. How hard could it be to take them down was the thought he had as he radioed in with his guy on security and the response he got wasn't one he found to be pleasing in the slightest.

"They took out the two we sent to capture them and they managed to take out all the cameras from 130 to 160th floor. And something is interfering with the drone's sensors so I can't find them." The man manning the security told his boss as he worked furiously to try and restart those down cameras.

"Get those cameras back up and running. I want to keep constant a eye on them. And loss the chatter." Wolfram told them as he started to suspect that this group was more than just a couple of hero students. No, there was something more going on here and he didn't get this far by not knowing how to read the signs for such. "We don't know if one of them has a quirk that lets them spy on us." He finished as he suspected that those brats had found a way to listen in to them, either that or that they got their hands on one of their radios from one of the guys they took down.

(With the group)

"I hear a lot of those security machines on the floor below us." Jiro reported to them as they had reached the 145th floor and just in time to as just as they crossed the door, it slammed shut on them. They didn't know what to expect so Jiro plugged herself into the wall to see if there was another trap waiting for them.

"And sounds from above?" Yu asked as that at least meant that there was a sealed door between them and another time-consuming fight.

"None. Should be clear." Jiro replied as she unplugged herself from the wall and got back up. That knowledge gave them some pause as it meant that the villains were blind to their position as it seemed like they misjudged how fast they were moving and set a trap on a floor they already cleared. As all the more intelligent members of the group realized, so long as they didn't make much of a fuss, they could move without opposition.

"I don't like this, it feels too easy." Todoroki on the other hand, was more on the side of caution as the group continued to more now they believed their path clear…for now.

"Easy or no, we don't have much of a choice, we need to keep climbing." Yaoyorozu stated as they needed to retake the security, if not, then that would mean both the people down in the reception and the citizens of the island being hurt if not killed.

"There is something that has been bugging me." Midoriya voiced as they came through a hallway which had the one wall removed to give people a view of the island.

"What is it?" Yu asked him, already knowing that he was smart for his age, and very observant so she thought it wise to listen to what he had to say.

"How did these villains even get on the island in the first place? Never mind smuggle in all their gear." He asked since those guys like the others were all decked out in combat gear, there was also the fact they knew how to handle themselves in a fight which meant this wasn't their first job. If they had been spotted in the past, they should be flagged as criminals and the system should have caught them as soon as they landed…..but it didn't. Did that mean they've never be seen, or that the system was compromised before they had arrived? Both of those scenarios didn't mean anything good.

"You think they had an inside man?" Yu asked him as they kept on moving.

"No way, the security here on the island is one of the best in the world. Strict and thorough background checks are performed for everybody wishing to work here." Mellissa denied that as the island was run like a tight ship. Even small-time jobs required the person to have a clean record. The thought that someone working there would actively assist criminals was sickening.

"Blackmail maybe? I mean, if I had something I didn't want people to know, I might look the other way." Mineta offered up as he had heard plenty of stories of guards, cops, and even pros either doing nothing or actively helping villains because they had some serious dirt on them.

"How very comforting." Kendo told him after he all but admitted that he had something bad enough that he may or may not do something stupid in the future to keep them from finding out.

"Hey! Everyone has secrets you know." Mineta defended himself as they reached another floor.

"Quiet. We'll figure that out after we stop them." Yu told the two before they could get into an argument right now. After that it was silent for a while as they raced up more stairs, avoiding making noise. Soon they found themselves nearing the 16h floor where the cameras would be able to spot them once more.

"We're here. The 159th floor." Iida called out as they reached it without running into issues. They only had another 49 to go but they all had the feeling that those will be the hardest ones.

"Jiro, you hear anything?" Midoriya asked the music-loving girl as she connected her jacks into both the wall and the floor to see if she could hear anything.

"Give me a sec." She told him as she took some time to listen in her any sounds, movements, conversations. Anything that could tell her if there was another threat up ahead. "Yeah, I hear some robots, and I think another three guys on the other side." She gestured towards the upper floors above them, the one that they needed to cross through.

"What do we do, they'd blocked the only path passed them." Uraraka asked as the group paused to think up ways to get past them without needing to waste any more time-fighting. But as they did this, Midoriya glanced down at Jiro's earphone jacks and the code like growth that attached them to her ears in the first place. He then looked out the window and recalled a certain movie that he had seen once upon a time with his folks.

"Not the only path." Midoriya said as he walked towards the window and started looking for a section that could be opened.

"What, you think we can fly to the top?" Kaminari asked him as they could use some wings right about now, but he doubted that Midoriya had brought most of his gear with him. Hearing that, Midoriya found himself smiling as he found what he was looking for, a window that could be opened.

"Nothing like that, but I do have an idea that requires us to leave the tower and a little daring from the group." Midoriya replied as he turned to face them, already drafting up plans in his head for what they'll need and how they'll need to use them to make this plan work.

"What do you have in mind?" Kendo asked him, watching as he smiled at them as he started explaining his idea to them, which at first sounded crazy but as they thought about it, it started to make sense.

(Later)

"Status update, where the hell are they? They should have sprung our trap by now." Wolfram called in his people for an update, started to get irritated that those heroes hadn't been caught by now.

"I don't know sir. I regained control of the cameras from floor 150 to 160 and I don't see them at all. The guys in the 161st have seen them either." The man on the other end responded as he worked through all the cameras and drones they had but he couldn't pick up a trace of them.

"Keep looking. No way in hell they gave up like that. They must be planning something." Wolfram replied as he was getting suspicious of them. Where could they possibly be the hold up? All the doors passed 160th didn't have access panels with passwords, they could only be controlled via the main security network. None of the alarms had gone off so unless they found a way to magical get through them, they should still be on the 159th at best, but they had already sent a team that swept the area and found no trace of them.

"I'll send word down to the guys on the 161st so they can prepare for a possible attack." The man replied to his boss as he sent word to them to check again, with a fine-tooth comb if they had to.

'Just where the hell did they run off to?' Wolfram asked himself as he looked over the hostages, him like everyone else not picking up the faint trails of mist-like smoke coming off the number one as he struggled to maintain his muscle form to give the kids as much time as they needed. He only hoped that they were faring better than they were.

(Meanwhile)

"I swear, sometimes I want to spend a day in that head of his and see how it works." Tetsutetsu joked at the group found themselves in a corner of the hallway of floor 168th, near an open window. Missing from the group was Jiro and Midoriya but another thing that stuck out was the fact that the window they stood next to was open with a rope being dangled from above.

"You sure about that? His mind may be more chaotic than you're prepared for." Kendo replied as she never thought that they could scale the building, just the thought of scaling a 200 storey building with next to no safety gear while avoiding being detected was scary enough. As they discussed this, Todoroki noticed that the rope outside started to move around in a way the wind could never move it.

"Okay, that's our queue, Uraraka, you ready?" Todoroki asked the girl as she nodded and stepped forward.

"Yeah, hold on everyone." Uraraka said as she did her part and used her quirk to make everyone weightless, one by one as each person, started with Mineta, were now free from the effect of gravity, was guided to the window where they easily climbed up the rope to the next floor where Midoriya stood, holding onto to said rope in place of a proper fastening gear. It didn't take all that long for the rest of them to get up as well and for Midoriya to started pulling in the rope.

"That felt really, really weird." Kaminari noted as being made weightless was an…odd experience. As he said this, he spotted Jiro away from the group, scouting to ensure they weren't spotted.

"Beats being seen." Uraraka said in return as she had been the last one to scale the rope, being careful to close the window behind her to leave no trace there was anyone there. Once Jiro returned to the group, both she and Midoriya got ready to keep this going by heading on ahead of them.

"Remember, stick to the walls. No talking." Mellissa reminded them as they avoided as many windows as they could to avoid being detected but that didn't mean someone close by wouldn't' hear them. Once they had prepared the rope that Yaoyorozu had made when they started this, Uraraka stepped forward and made them weightless before directing them towards another window which would give them better cover going up.

"Okay, you're both weightless." She reminded them as Iida opened the window for them to both slip out but kept his grip on them seeing how they could just as easily float away.

"That certainly takes the danger part out of it. No risk of falling." Midoriya joked as he was used to these kinds of heights, though his suit had a built-in glide function in case the engines failed and two different parachutes.

"Should we skip 170th floor and try to head for a higher one?" Jiro asked him as she got herself ready for another trip out the window. Man, she didn't think she'll be getting up to this kind of activity this summer, that's for sure.

"The rope has the length for it, sure. We'll do four floors per climb then." Midoriya replied as Yaoyorozu gave them a quick head nod as she made the rope as strong as possible, it could take as much as 600kg before snapping, and considering that they all scale it weightless, that was more of a safety measure than a requirement.

"Either way. You two do your part and we'll do ours." Yu told them two as she gave the boy a quick peck on the cheeks as he and Jiro made their way to the window where Uraraka made them weightless and Todoroki guided them out the window before Kendo stepped forward.

"One massive throw coming right up." Kendo said as she gripped the two of them with her arms sticking out the window and used her quirk to give them a head's start on their journey up. That journey proved to be as scary as you could expect seeing how the only thing that was keeping them from falling over 100 floors to their painful, messy ends was the fact they were exempt from the law of gravity. Still, the winds at this height proved to be challenging for them seeing how with no weight, they were being blown side to side like paper next to a fan. The two had to adapt fast and made use of whatever areas of grip they could to keep in contact with the building, avoiding as many windows as they could, in some windows they spotted either drones or villains on the look-out for them but they made sure to be as silent as possible and ensure they weren't seen. Soon, they found themselves approaching the 172nd floor, their stop.

"Jiro, you're up." Midoriya said as he moved aside so that Jiro could move ahead and plug one of her jacks into the floor to listen in for any potential threats.

"I'm not picking up any movement. Looks like we're clear." She told him as she opened up the window and crawled in before she aided Midoriya in as well. Once both of them had made it back into the building, they tugged on the rope to signal such which was the sigh to Uraraka to release them from her quirk. A couple of seconds later, they both found themselves under gravity once more.

"Keep your ears to the ground while I secure the ropes." Midoriya the girl as he turned his back to her and first jiggled the rope to let them know they could climb before he gripped the rope as hard as he could, making himself the anchor for the rest of them as Jiro nodded her head as she used her quirk to keep scanning the area for anyone else that could appear on them.

(In the reception hall)

"Inko, did you hear?" Hisashi asked softly as he crawled up closer to his wife. Like the rest of the guests, they were still trapped under armed guard in the reception hall but they two had been close enough to the boss of the villains when he took that last call and heard what he had said.

"How could I not? He's….he's somewhere, fighting them, and we can't do anything." Inko answered as she hugged herself, worried that somewhere on the island, in this very tower, which her son was fighting against villains with guns, and what's worse, he didn't even have any of his gear, having left that at home for the trip.

"Don't worry, he's a fighter, and you heard them, he has some of his classmates with him, and Yu." Hisashi said to comfort her with a hug, they both like Yu, they did. She had been a great influence on their boy and cared for him as much as he did her.

"But she can't use her quirk in a building, remember?" Inko reminded her as the girl told them long ago that she can't control the size she changes into, she can either be normal or 20m, which is the reason she avoids entering buildings for tight spaces for hero work.

"She didn't become a pro without being able to improvise, and our boy is the king of thinking on his feet." Hisashi pointed out as that may have been a big hindrance to her, he trusted that her years of study both as a hero student and as Best Jeanist's side-kick gave her ample time to find ways to work around that and still help people.

"Momo's no slouch either." Miki said as he and his wife crawled over to them, though going by how their dress and suit looked, crawling on their knees must be murder on the fabric. "She's a smart girl, though I wish she would have left this to the pros."

"Considering even All Might isn't in a position to do anything, all the more power to her." Airi pointed out as they all spared All Might a glance and saw that like seconds prior, he was still tied up and unable to do a thing. "Fancy seeing you two here." She said to them with a smile, one as it was considering the situation.

"We were invited, I know Mr. Shield." Inko told them, as they had no idea the other would be here tonight but considering how wealthy the Yaoyorozu's were, they should have expected at least one of them.

"Unexpected, but not unwanted. Always knew that I could be held hostage for one reason or another, at least I have good company now." Miki tried to joke to lighten the mood even as the threat of injury or death still hung over them with the villains around. Heck, they had to speak as softly as they could to prevent one of them from over-hearing.

"Momo brought along two of her classmates with her, one Jiro and another girl named Uraraka." Airi told them as they didn't have a lot of time to meet the two girls but Momo assured her parents that she trusted them and that they were good friends.

"I know Uraraka, she came over to our plan to study once. She's a sweet girl." Inko replied as she had met the girl some time ago, when she and some others had come over to study with Izuku, she was a nice girl, though she needed to work on that confidence of hers though considering who she was, that might be a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

"Then at least we know that our children have people they can rely on." Hisashi breathed a sigh of relief at the fact his boy had at least four others helping him on this crazy quest to fight the villains. Why they were, he didn't know nor did he know what their objective was, all he could was hope that they succeeded in it.

"What do you think they want?" Airi asked the two of them as she first thought they wanted money from them, considering that most of the guests were very wealthy individuals but so far, none of them had taken a single thing from them. She then thought they wanted to take down a bunch of pro heroes to make themselves look better but aside from the boss hitting the one that spoke up earlier, they did nothing there. All they knew is that they needed something, something that David's assistant could have helped with.

"I have no clue. I-island has projects in many fields of science and engineering." Hisashi replied as I-island was a hub of scientific endeavors. Everything from home appliances to hero and defense gear was developed here, so the possible targets the villains could want to steal was quite large.

"But they took David and his assistant, any idea what they could give them access to?" Miki asked as that must have meant something, if it was anything on the show floors across the island, they could have just taken them.

"David lets the researchers do their own thing and rarely gets involved so most of their work is out of his reach, the only place I could think of that they'll need their excess to would be…..Oh no." Hisashi started to think to himself as he speculated what the villains could want, but then he thought about the one place that could only be accessed by either a representative of their sponsors, David, or his assistant and a chill worked its way down his back at the implications.

"What? Where are they going?" Inko asked her husband, worried about what he just thought about seeing how his face lost color and he started to sweat a bit.

"The vaults. It's where the most dangerous projects are kept awaiting destruction or completion." Hisashi told them, sharing the news and getting them all worried as well as though they didn't know what could be in there, considering the tech they had seen on display, whatever qualifies to be placed in a secure vault, isn't something they wanted the villains getting their hands on.

"How dangerous are we talking about here?" Airi asked him.

"One good way of describing it would be by telling you the nickname we researchers gave it." Hisashi started as though he never saw it himself, he had worked here long enough to hear the rumors, and hear about the other name the place was referred to as. "Pandora's box."

"And they wish to open it." Miki asked though it was clear it was a statement as they all were familiar with Greek myths, at least enough to know that little story so they knew that it was dangerous.

"Izuku and his friends need to hurry and stop them, otherwise," Inko said as she looked around, and spotted how the boss seemed agitated with whatever he was hearing on his earpiece. "Otherwise villains and criminals the world over will end up with the power to cause unprecedented levels of destruction and chaos."

(Back with the group – Floor 180)

"We made it." Tetsutetsu breathed out in relief as Todoroki helped him up onto their current floor. It was outside of the building, as the group had made a detour at Mellissa's suggestion but it was better than nothing as they now found themselves near the top of the building. The area they were in was in the open but around them, holding up the actual 200th floor were three towers, all of which housing stairs and elevators as well as other rooms. In the center of it all, holding up the main weight of the 200th floor was a central pillar which connected to each tower, in-between those steel connections, sat numerous wind turbines which Mellissa told them, helped power the tower by harvesting the power of the wind itself.

"Mellissa, you said that here should be clear?" Kendo asked her as she rubbed her shoulders, feeling cold as they stood underneath the massive wind turbines as Todoroki pulled up their rope.

"Yes, there isn't much in the way of sensors or cameras here. There should be an emergency exit we can enter from here which will take us right to the 200th floor." Mellissa told them as she pointed upwards, passed the many wind turbines towards the top, there was an emergency hatch that lead right to the 199th floor, but there was no ladder leading towards it, leaving them to improvise how they could get up that far, another 40m straight up.

"I doubt that they'll know to look for us here anyway. They haven't seen to have been able to locate us in a while, why else would we be able to get this far." Iida pointed out as they had evaded both combat and detection for a while, there was no way those villains would think to look here when they weren't even spotted anywhere near, most likely, they watch stairwells they've long since skipped.

"Either way, I wouldn't want to jinx it, so let's just keep going. If most of the villains are still looking for us, which means less of them in the control room." Midoriya stated as they meant less of a fight they could put up.

"Our main concern right now is how we're going to scale this? Only Mineta can use his balls to climb and those turbines are no doubt creating wind currents that can blow us right off." Yaoyorozu, who was a bit winded from having to use her quirk on and off again, asked as they looked at Mineta.

"No problem for me, I can just lift you all up there." Yu reminded them as now that there in the open, she finally had some good breathing room, though she could only take them a little under halfway but hey, it was better than nothing.

"Sweet, smooth sailing to the top." Kaminari cheered, though he cheered a little too late as on all three sides, the doors from the towers opened up and from them, dozens of drones poured out heading towards them.

"Why the hell did you have to jinx it?" Midoriya yelled at the guy as he got his one remaining nightstick ready while everyone else flexed their quirks, gearing up for another fight.

"Sorry." Kaminari whined back as he tried to stay back, as his quirk wouldn't be the best right now.

"Dammit, we don't have time for this." Yu cursed as she activated her quirk, growing into her giant form before she bent over, and with one swipe of her arm, sent well over 2 dozen robots flying off the building, if her hit didn't destroy them, the 405m(1,328ft) drop will.

"Yu?" Midoriya asked her as she turned to face them as Todoroki created an ice wall on two sides to funnel their enemies and cover their flanks.

"Get on, I'll take you as far as I can go." Yu told them as she looked at the group, her hands already reaching to grab onto them and if need be, tossed them the rest of the way.

"But what about you?" Uraraka asked her as Kendo used her enlarged hands to just toss the bots off the edge, rather than try and crash them as Iida went about kicking and kneeing the bots as hard as he could.

"We'll stay behind and buy you guys time!" Kendo told them as she along with Todoroki, Iida, and Yu all nodded their heads at the suggestion, they didn't have time to try and head off together.

"But-!" Jiro tried to interject but Todoroki cut her off as he fired off some fire to try and burn some robots.

"Just go! We need to stop the villains before they hurt anyone else." Todoroki told her as the group had no choice but to agree.

"Sorry, sweetie. But you're going first." Yu told Midoriya as she prepared to toss him towards the hatch.

"Just be sure to aim, I really don't like smashing into buildings." Midoriya joked to keep himself stable as he was not a fan of leaving her, he knew she was the better fighter and could take care of herself, but that didn't mean he wouldn't worry.

"Wait, take this. This way we can all use it as a guide." Todoroki said as he tossed the rope towards him, they both know that the air currents generated by those turbines will make it hard enough to get up there without being blown off course, so their best bet was for the first person to hopefully make it and tie down a rope for the rest of them to sue as a guide.

"Good idea." Midoriya agreed with him as he tied the rope around himself to free his hands.

"Ready?" Yu asked him as she gripped him in her hand, being careful to not hurt him.

"Yeah." Midoriya nodded his head as he got himself ready to be turned into a human projectile. With that, Yu pulled her hand back and threw him as hard as she could, sending him flying the rest of the way fast enough that the wind didn't affect all too much but even then, he could tell he was losing momentum, and with that, slowing being blown away by the wind.

'There's no way I can make it to the 200th floor from here, not like this. But I can reach that walkway!' Midoriya thought to himself as he could hear the others fighting on the ground but he couldn't think about that too much as he spied a platform that he can land on, but he was still going to come in hard. And come in hard he did as he landed shoulder first into the steel walkway. 'Oh for the love of-!' He bit the inside of his mouth to not cry out in plan as he got up, feeling his shoulder and he was happy to know that while he hurt, he wasn't broken or anything so he threw that aside as he untied the rope around his waist and tied it to one of the rails before throwing the rest of it over for the others.

"It's done!" Midoriya called out as he looked down and saw how the rope wasn't long enough to reach the bottom, it was long enough that Yu can grab hold of it and act as a bridge for the others.

"Alright, I'm sending the rest." Yu called back to him as she picked up the first person, that person being Jiro before she lifted her to the line which she then started climbing. Thank god for Aizawa's random surprise P.E drills.

"Dammit, these wind currents are no joke. I can barely hold them in place." Tetsutetsu, who had Mellissa holding onto him, said as he climbed up the rope. Ahead of him was Mineta.

"Don't you dare let go, Midoriya!" Mineta called out to the guy up top, who along with him was Jiro and Yaoyorozu, was already up on the ledge waiting for them.

"And why in the hell did you think I was thinking of that? Just hurry up already!" Midoriya called back to them as this night was starting to get to them.

"It's like they sent every robot that had here." Iida said as he knocked off another few robots but even with Todoroki's ice blocking two of the doors, more were still pouring out to meet them.

"Less talking, more smashing." Yu told them once she lifted Uraraka to the rope, who was the last person as the rest were either already climbing the rope or had reached the top. This left her free and clear to get back into the fighting by which she just kicked a whole group off the ledge and waited a couple of moments to hear the crash as they all slammed into the cold, hard pavement below. "Oh, it feels good to be able to do that again." She said to herself as she loved being this large, very few things could threaten her and these little tin cans were not one of them, she proved this as she picked up some in her hands and threw them as hard as she could, easily clearing the island as they crashed into the cold sea.

"Cutting the line." Tetsutetsu called out as Uraraka reached the top, once they pulled her over, he activated his quirk and cut the line and let the hanging part fall back down. "Guys, we're made it!"

"Keep going, we'll catch up!" Kendo yelled at them as he smashed one drone into another before using both damaged bots as ammo and tossed them into a group. Leaving them to do their part, the group ran down the walkway towards the door which lead into one of the towers, as Jiro tried to open the door, she found it wouldn't move.

"Locked, as expected." Jiro cursed as Mellissa got ready to hack it as well but Tetsutetsu stepped forward.

"No time for lock-picking, move." Tetsutetsu said as he, with his quirk still active started to punch the door's handle and lock in hopes that it'll give.

BAM! BAM!...BAM!

"There we go." The silver-haired boy said as he door after the third heavy hit broke and fell in, allowing them entry into the building once more and out of the cold.

"198th floor, we're close." Midoriya noted as he looked at the wall and saw that large red marking that told them their floor. As he did this, Kaminari saw three villains spot them with one of them, a guy with salmon hair charged them with two arm blades or something.

"Look out!" Kaminari yelled as he pushed Mellissa out of the way of the attack that would have surely done her in as the others scattered, jumping for cover behind the wall as the two villains further back started firing on them with their rifles.

"You shouldn't have come here! Take them out, now!" The salmon haired villain yelled at them as he went for another swipe at the two blondes but jumped back when Midoriya pulled his gun on him and tried to shoot him.

"Take cover!" Mineta yelled at the two as they jumped behind the wall as well, narrowly avoiding getting shot full of holes as the salmon haired girl tried to attack them again but this time around, Tetsutetsu met his assault head-on, with his quirk active making his blades all but useless against him as he used both forearms to block the attack.

"Your one to talk, what are you doing here?" Tetsutetsu asked him as he gave the dude a head-but before he kicked him in one knee forcing him down but he found himself pushed back when he started taking fire. His quirk protected him but he could still feel each shot and how it was draining him of his stamina. They let up momentarily as Midoriya started taking potshots at them from behind the wall, ducking in and out of cover to try and take them down which forced them to take cover and return fire.

"You chose the wrong place to play, you bunch of brats!" The salmon haired villain yelled in anger as he tried to go for Tetsutetsu's eye but found that the boy caught his strike as he winded up his other arm for a punch.

"Sorry, you're gonna need to do better against my steel!" Tetsutetsu yelled back as he punched the dude so hard in the face that he went crashing into the stairs, smashing and leaving him in a pile of rubble, knocked out. Sadly, he couldn't press the advantage as the two guys with guns went back to focusing on him again. "Dammit!"

"Tetsutetsu! Get over here!" Jiro yelled at him from their hiding spot as bullets whizzed through the air. Seeing no other option, the boy dived behind cover along with them.

"Man, those hurt." Tetsutetsu uttered as he turned his quirk off and felt around his body and while he didn't have any bruises or anything, those shots stung. Worse yet was his vest, it was riddled with holes and tears from all the shots he took, seeing that it was useless, he got rid of it.

"No shit Sherlock, those are rifles. Good luck finding villains in Japan fitted with anything like that." Midoriya told him as he stuck his head out and fire a couple shots before almost teleporting back into cover when the other guys returned his fire.

"What do you do?" Mellissa asked them as none of them had any way of getting past those guys, not like this.

"I can charge them and-!" Tetsutetsu tried to offer up the idea of him charging them with his quirk active, it already proved that it could take their fire but Midoriya wasn't having it.

"We don't know if your quirk can handle that. We stay put." Midoriya told him as they had never tested his quirk against firearms, heck the odds of someone back home having this level of firepower was so low, you had better chances of being killed by lightning strike, as he thought this, he expelled the spent clip from his pistol and reached into his vest for another one, being reminded of the fact that he only had the one remaining of the three he started with. "Damn, I'm running low." He cursed as he counted that he had another 15 shots.

"Kaminari, here…something you can…use." As this was going on, Yaoyorozu used a large chunk of her remaining strength to make a weapon for Kaminari, one similar to the nightstick he already had but that along with the fact she only had a light snack hours ago was starting to show.

"You okay, Yaoyorozu?" Mellissa asked the girl as she was breathing real heavily now.

"Yeah…just…..just tired." She replied to them as making that RPG along with all the other stuff they needed to climb the tower was started to catch up with her.

"She's overused her quirk, she needs to rest." Jiro told her as this was something they had planned for, but they had hoped it wouldn't kick in for a little more time. As this went down, Midoriya was forced behind cover again as one of the two remaining villains jumped from the top of the stairs right down to the bottom, landing with a role as he turned to face the surprised group of teens with his rifle raised.

"Damn brats!" He yelled at them as he was mere moments away from pulling the trigger, this made the group act out in an instant as they moved out of the way or dived down and held their heads. Tetsutetsu activated his quirk and jumped on top of Jiro and Uraraka to cover them but Momo found herself too tired and shocked to move in time, seeing this out of the corner of his eye, Midoriya's body moved on its own as he jumped towards her at the same time the villain pulled the trigger.

"Get down!" He cried out as the villain fired on the two of them, the shots caught Midoriya but luckily, he was able to push Yaoyorozu down and with the adrenaline pumping through his veins numbing the pain, he was quick to the draw as he aimed his pistol right at the villain before he could try and shot them again and fired.

BANG!

Midoriya was the faster of the two as his single bullet tore through the villain's neck, coming out the other side and leaving him gasping for breathe as blood shot out of his wound, within seconds he was on the floor and after a little more time, he was dead. Seeing that they already lost two guys, the third guy chose to run, most likely to alert the others but right now, the group wasn't focused on that.

"Midoriya, Yaoyorozu!" The group cried as they moved to aid the two of them with Kaminari and Jiro helping the pained Midoriya onto his back as they help the shocked Yaoyorozu to her feet.

"Shit, you guys okay?" Tetsutetsu asked the two as they Yaoyorozu and were glad when they didn't see any signs that she was shot, the same couldn't be said for Midoriya as he breathed out in he felt his vest and felt that a couple of shots at struck their mark.

"I'm fine…Midoriya…?" Yaoyorozu asked, fearing the worst as Midoriya worked himself to lean on a wall as he felt around and along with Kaminari, could make out that he was tagged 4 times.

"Yeah, yeah. Vest caught it. Hurts like a bitch but I'll take this over the alternative." Midoriya said as he, like the rest, breathed out a sigh of relief knowing that he wasn't gonna die just yet.

"Guys, you go on. Yaoyorozu can't keep going so we'll stay with her and make sure she's safe." Mineta said as he saw that Momo was in no condition to keep going, not only was she tired but nearly getting shot was getting to her.

"You sure about that?" Tetsutetsu asked them, concerned that more may be coming up the stairs as they speak.

"Hey, just cause I'm small doesn't make me a coward." Mineta replied, but the looks the others gave him weren't one of confidence. "Okay, it doesn't make a coward most of the time, she can't defend herself so someone needs to watch her back."

"We'll booby-trap the stairs so no-one else can come up, just in case they call for back-up." Kaminari told them as Mineta's balls alone could prove enough but he could act as an electrical trap as well.

"Alright, we'll keep moving but don't try anything stupid." Midoriya spoke up as he worked himself back to his feet, slowly though as he honestly hurt to move right now.

"You sure you're alright man? You did just get shot?" Jiro asked him as she expected that he'll stay behind with Momo.

"Trust me, I'm still good." Midoriya breathed out as he knew that he'll have to deal with the welts and pains later, but he could still move which meant he could still fight. Plus the pain would keep him alert.

"Midori-I'm so sorry about this." Yaoyorozu tried to apologize but she couldn't even bring herself to face him, the guy that got shot because she couldn't react in time to a threat, unlike the rest of them as even Mellissa, someone with no hero training, was able to react and get out of the way in time.

"About what?" Midoriya asked her, turning to face her.

"If I didn't…If I had moved when I was supposed to, you wouldn't have needed." She tried to explain herself but he wasn't having it as he stepped over to hug her, a gesture of kindness that surprised the girl and the rest of the group.

"None of that right now, Yaomomo. You're supposed to be the cute but obvious rich girl, so smile." Midoriya thought her though he was in some serious pain, he saw this as more important as he broke the hug and pocked the girl's right cheek, making her face look weird which got the others to crack smiles.

"But-" Momo tried to interject but he just poked her other cheek.

"But nothing. He was our enemy and trying to kill us…..maybe there was another way, maybe I could have aimed for his leg or something but what's done is done. Besides," Midoriya said as he purposely chose to focus on her pretty face over the fact he just killed someone, something they all picked up on but also chose to not mention if only for both his and Momo's general mental health. "If I have to choose between….that and losing a precious friend… I'll chose you guys every time." He told her honestly as he smiled at her, at the rest of them as he saw them as his dear friends, and friends fought for one another as much as they fought one another.

"Thank you." Yaoyorozu replied as she teared up a bit and gave him a quick hug, one that he returned, ignoring how much his torso hurt right now.

"You are very much welcome but before you go, I need to upgrade." Midoriya said as he broke the hug and moved towards Jiro before he handed her his pistol. "Jiro, take this. You know how to use it?"

"Not really, never thought I'll need to." Jiro replied as he accepted the weapons, though she had no real clue who to use aside from what she'd seen him do and games.

"Hopefully after night, we'll never to again. Quick run-down then of gun safety. Keep the safety, which is this switch here, on at all times unless you plan on firing it. Never point this at something unless you plan to shoot it. Always treat it like it's loaded, I don't care if there is no clip, the people around you might not know that. Treat it with respect, this ain't some Goose Willis action movie where he can hold the damn things however he wants, you hold it like so," Midoriya gave her the quirk run-down as he took the gun back and showed her or to hold it and aim, with both hands gripping at before he handing it back to her. "With both hands and make sure to aim before you pull the trigger."

"Got it." Jiro told him as she put the safety on before she held the thing with only one hand before a thought occurred to her. "What are you taking?"

"This," Midoriya replied as he moved towards the dead guy and picked up his rifle, and with as much mental distance as he could manage, he started rummaging through his vest for extra clips before he managed to find two and like the gun, he took them. "I have no clue on the model but this looks Austrian made. Fully automatic with a semi-automatic function, 35 round clip, flashlight, and laser sight add-ons with forward grip for extra stability when firing. And rounds that look to be the NATO standard, this will do nicely." Midoriya rattled out as he looked over the weapon as it he had spent the last hour inspecting it, picking out details here and there like it was nothing.

"Dude, how the hell did you know all that?" Kaminari asked him as he only ever learned that much about a firearm whenever he picked it up in a game and searched its stats.

"I research firearms, what?" Midoriya answered, though his response didn't appease them as they all looked at him as if he had grown a second head. "Did you think I added guns to my support gear without researching them up first?" He asked as they all remembered that both that giant suit and his normal gear include guns.

"We'll focus on the fact he's also an apparent a gun otaku later, right now we have other concerns." Jiro said to knock them back onto the present.

"I'm not a gun otaku!" Midoriya denied that claim, but it didn't seem like any of them cared.

.

.

.

"They're here!" The villain called out as the three of them started to fire on the incoming target, that target being Tetsutetsu, who using both his quirks, rushed up the stairs taking their fire.

"Out of our way!" He roared at them as he landed a lariat on one which sent him to the floor while he punched the other in the face so hard his mask shattered along with his nose as he crumbled to the floor. The third tried to take him out with a strike with his rifle stock to his head but was shot in the leg.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Midoriya told him as he rushed up the stairs, pointing his newly acquired weapon at the villain before he was knocked out by a kick to the side of the head from Tetsutetsu. This proved to be the last real obstacle between them and the top as this stairwell lead them right into the 200th floor.

"Mellissa, you said that the control room is this way right?" Uraraka asked her as the group raced down the halls, looking for their destination as Mellissa directed them,

"Yeah, but the vault is that way." Mellissa responded as she pointed down another path, one different from the one they were going down. The vault itself had come up as they ran up the stairs seeing how that was the only other high-value location on this floor and as it held some nasty stuff, they thought it could be a possible target for the villains.

"So we need to split up then?" Jiro asked as she was against splitting up their group any more than they already had.

"Looks like it, you go with Melissa to the control room, shut them down and retake the security." Midoriya said as he pointed at Uraraka.

"And what will guys do?" Mellissa asked them, worried about them.

"We'll head for the vault. If they haven't touched it, we'll circle back to your guys, if they have, they'll stop them before they can get away." Midoriya responded as he lifted his rifle, he along with Jiro and Tetsutetsu were well equipped to handle themselves, especially since they weren't expecting much of a fight in the first place.

"Alright, but be careful." Uraraka told him as she gave all three a quick hug.

"We're the ones with the assault rifle and tank on our team, I feel like we should be saying that to you." Jiro joked as she returned the girl's hug before they separated, with the second group following the directions that Mellissa had given them before they parted ways. Using them, they soon came upon the vault, but the door was already open and they could make out voices inside.

"Someone's in there?" Tetsutetsu asked as he stuck his head around the corner and could make out two people standing by a console, both of whom he had met that same day.

"Is that, Mr. Shield?" Tetsutetsu asked as he recognized him along with Sam. As he said this, Midoriya took a peek around the corner as saw them as well. To get a better view of things, Jiro plugged her earphone jack into the wall it hear inside the room.

"Yup, that's him all right, but he doesn't seem to be alone. I count 6 others, one of which is Sam, the assistant." Jiro told the other two as she could pick up chatter and movement in there.

"So the rest are villains?" Tetsutetsu asked her.

"Yeah, most likely they're forcing him to open up one of the chests for them." Jiro replied as from the stiff nature of David's responses, he wasn't there because he wanted to be.

"But what could they possibly want?" Midoriya asked as he could make up what was sure to be hundreds of drawers in there, all of them locked tight.

"Don't know, don't care, we need to stop them." Tetsutetsu responded as the group started moving closer to the door so they could jump in.

(In the vault aka. Pandora's Box)

"Is it done?" One of the villains asked when the screen flashed green a couple of times before a ping could be heard.

"Yes, it's block 1147." David said as he gestured for Sam to head up the stairs to get what the villains wanted, and if his memory served him right, it was the one thing he wished was destroyed.

"You heard him, tubby. Go get it." Another said as he pocked Sam with his rifle's barrel, scaring the poor man.

"Y-yes." Sam replied as he rushed up the stairs to do what was asked of him before he got shot. He approached the drawer and with his fingerprint, was able to unlock the last safety measure as the lights around it turned off as the drawer opened up, allowing him to pull out a large, white briefcase which the villain next to him grabbed out of his hands, putting his gun away for the moment.

"Good, we got what we came for." He said as he looked into the case and nodded his head, having gotten what they had come for.

"Who said you'll be leaving!" They all nearly jumped in surprise at the unexpected question as they turned to the doorway where they saw Tetsutetsu, both quirks active, rushing the closest couple of villains as he took one out with a tackle that sent them both to the floor, the attack rendering the villain unconscious.

"What the hell?!" Another cried out in shock as they tried to aim at the boy, but he was careful to keep his movements as unpredictable as he could as he went after the second guy who tried to back-paddle to avoid him as he tried to shoot him, but his shots just bounced right off him.

"Shoot him!" The closest to David yelled at the other but before they could, Midoriya stuck his head out from behind the door and with practice aim, took him out with a shot to the arm that forced him to drop his gun.

"Arg!" The villain shouted out in pain as Dave took the chance and punched him right in the side of the head, knocking to his side but not knocking him out. The one furthest back, the on with Sam went for his gun but hesitated as that would mean dropping the case, that hesitation cost him.

"Dammit! My arm!" Before he could react, he was also taken down with a couple of shots through the leg, allowing Sam to jump away from him and in the process, accidentally knock his weapon away from him.

"Light's out!" The last guy found himself taken out when Jiro snuck upon him in the confusion before she used her quirk to take him down by sending a jolt of sound through him before smacking over the head with her pistol.

"What is going on here!?" David asked them in shock once the last guy went down. "Tetsutetsu?" He asked as he saw the boy, wearing what looked to have been a suit before it got all messed up, turn off his quirk as he breathed out a sigh of relief.

"Dave-sensei!" Midoriya yelled out as he entered the room and nearly tackled the guy down to the floor.

"Midoriya?" The man asked, returning the hug out of instinct but he was still very much confused as to what just happened here, one minute he was held hostage and being forced to hand over dangerous equipment, the next the villains were down while he was being hugged by the last person he expected to see rescue him.

"Oh thank God, we made it in time to stop them." Jiro said as she looked around the room with a small smile, glad that it seemed as if it was finally over, that they had won.

"What do you mean 'made it in time'?" Sam asked them as he came down the stairs, now holding the briefcase that the villains came here for.

"We've been trying to stop the villains ever since they took the tower. Mellissa is also here." Midoriya answered them as he stopped hugging the guy as he turned to face Sam.

"She is? Where is she?" David asked as he looked around but didn't see her, was she still outside the room?

"Dave-sensei, relax. She's with one of our friends, by now they must have retaken control of the security and dealt with whoever was in the control room." Midoriya told the guy before he ran himself up into a panic.

"But then, how did you all end up here if not through the control room? That's the only route." Sam asked them as they didn't hear them approach and he was sure that there would have been a noisy fight if they had used that route. Here the group looked a bit sheepish as they turned away with mild blushes of embarrassment on their faces.

"We sort of...of….climbed up the building...?" Tetsutetsu told them as he didn't even look the two in the eye when he told them that little piece of news.

"You what?" Dave asked them out of shock, the 200th floor was almost half a kilometer off the ground, when and how did they even begin to scale such a thing?! And how could they let his daughter do it with them?!

"Sorry about that, but we didn't have much of a choice. It was that or fight our way up which would have taken too much time." Midoriya at least apologized for it as it was his idea to start with, sure it shaved off time but it was still very dangerous and now wasn't the time to explain just how they did it. But saved by the bell they were, both he and Jiro got a message on their phones….wait a minute, they got a message through! Both quickly pulled out said devices and saw a text from Uraraka and was short, did rely that they had successfully retaken the security system and now all the pros downstairs and had used the speakers to announce such so that the pros downstairs were now free to act.

"They did it." Jiro whispered to herself as she fell to her knees, happy that they managed, against the odds to succeed but also due to the exhaustion of such a stressful, action-filled night. No wonder action movie stars always said I'm going drinking or something whenever they finish their task, this was tiring work.

"Our phones work again?" Tetsutetsu, who was busy making sure all the villains present wouldn't be a problem, asked as he pulled out his phone and saw that he had a signal again.

"Looks like Mellissa pulled through once again, honestly her skill with computers can be scary at times." Midoriya laughed out loud at that one, proud to have such a friend in her as she had come through for them once more tonight. But in laughter hurt like hell as he winced as he reached for his chest.

"You good?" Jiro asked him from her spot on the floor.

"Yeah, nothing a good night's rest won't solve." Midoriya responded though he could already tell he had ugly black bruises forming. "Oh, by the way, Dave-sensei, this here is one of my friends from school. Kyoka Jiro." He introduced the girl, who got up to greet the guy.

"Sir, it would be a massive honor to meet you right now, but tonight's been a roller-coaster ride of emotions." Jiro told him as she shook his hand, her face showing just how tired she was even if she was smiling right now. Dave hearing hr response, couldn't help but chuckle.

"I can imagine, I haven't had this much excitement since the days I used to work with All Might." He told her as he thought he put all the action-filled days and villains behind him once he stopped working as All Might's sidekick, he may have missed those days but he wasn't as young as he used to be, tonight was enough excitement to last him quite a while.

"So you managed to take out all the villains, by yourselves?" Sam asked them, sounding both shocked and pleased with this news.

"Well, we weren't alone. We had some help, they should be finishing up with the drones by now, if those things still see them as threats." Jiro responded as they left some people fighting the drones but if the security was back to normal, odds are that they broke off their assault and were going after villains or something.

"And we didn't take out all of them, we just did our part to give the pros downstairs a fighting chance." Midoriya said as he only imagined that All Might was already on his way up here.

"I see." Sam said as he dropped his smile as he sighed. "Never thought I'll have to switch to plan-B." He said, confusing them at his choice of words and change in mannerisms.

"Plan-B? What are you talk-" David tried to ask but before he could, Sam did the unthinkable. Sam pulled out a pistol from his suit and pointed right. At. Them.

"I suggest you don't move, that any of you don't move. Not unless you want to see the professor dead." Sam told them all, though his tone had changed from friendly and meek, to cold and serious.

"What the hell?!" Jiro yelled out in shock at this turn of events.

"Sam, what is going on here?!" David demanded of his assistant but rather than an answer, Sam merely moved forward and grabbed the man as he pointed his gun at his head.

"The fuck?!" Midoriya cried out in shock as he went to aim his rifle at him but Sam stopped them when he very visible, turned off his gun's safety while it was still aimed for David's head.

"I said don't move!" Sam didn't yell but he might as well have as all went quiet as he looked at the two teens who were also armed with weapons. "Izuku. Put the gun down, now. You too girly."

"Wha-!" Tetsutetsu, like the rest of them, was still confused as he moved to step forward but Sam wasn't having it, not at all.

"I won't ask again, weapons otherwise I'll put a bullet clean through his head." Sam threaten them, leaving them in a stand-off as they could fire on him, but none of them had enough faith in their skills to be able to get a shot off to beat him before he pulled the trigger, what's worse was that the only part of him they could aim for was his head and even if he was acting completely out of it, or really off his rocker, none of them had it in them to take his life, not like this.

"Jiro….do as he says." Midoriya told his friend as he slowly lowered his weapon to the floor, placing it down in such a manner that it won't discharge, seeing his example and coming to the same conclusion he did, Jiro listened to him.

"….Fine." Jiro said bitterly as she also placed her gun on the floor before getting back up to her full height, Tetsutetsu in kind also didn't make any moves.

"Now kick them over here, one at a time. Starting with you, girly." Sam ordered them, and though she didn't want to, Jiro saw they didn't have much choice as she kicked the gun over to him. "Now you, Izuku. That's a good boy." Sam told them as he had the gall to smile after Midoriya kicked his as well, leaving them at a total disadvantage as even with a quirk, Jiro knew she wouldn't be able to stretch her Ear jacks to him fast or discreet enough to catch him before he proved if he could follow through with that threat.

"Sam, what are you doing? Have you gone mad?" David asked the man again, trying to make sense of this but Sam's response was to ask him a question in return.

"Mad? Mad! I'm the only one between the two of us that's sane." Sam told him, making absolutely no sense as Dave wasn't the one holding his colleague and friend hostage.

"Sane, what possible reason could there be to do this? Were you working with the villains the whole time?" David asked him, hoping against all the odds that he'll say no, that he'll at least deny. But they got their answer from anew guest to the party.

"What other reason could there be to betray a dear friend?" Wolfram asked as he walked into the room, as if he didn't care about what could happen to him and for good measure and before any of them could react, they found themselves all slammed by the metal railings that Wolfram used his quirk to pull from their fastenings.

"Arg!" Jiro cried out in shock and pain as he found herself smashed against the wall, with the railings wrapping around her arms and legs and keeping herself in place.

"Jiro! Why you-!" Midoriya tried to try and fight him but he took was taken without much of a fight as he was slammed into another wall, away from Jiro with his arms pinned above his head and his legs spread apart.

"I-I'm stuck! I can't move!" Jiro cried out as she tried to fight her way lose but the railing was in tight.

"Same! Dammit, I can barely move my arms in here." Midoriya cursed as he couldn't even reach wiggle to even attempt to fight. Tetsutetsu was the last one as when he activated his quick in rage to charge him, he found that he couldn't even move, as if an invisible hand or hands were keeping him in place, it didn't help his mood as the new guy laughed at him.

"Good. You on the other hand, well this is just a cause of the wrong quirk, as you must have guessed, my quirk allows me to control any ferrous metal, which means any that can be attracted by a magnetic force if you don't know what they mean. So that means I'm the last person you can ever fight." Wolfram explained to the kid to give him the reason why he couldn't move, which meant that Tetsutetsu was covering himself with some kind of magnetic outer skin. Wolfram proved this further when he used his hold on the boy to pick him up and crash him into the walls, the floor, the ceiling, the stairs, if it was there, he was smashed against it, much to the horror of those watching, bar Sam who looked on with indifference.

"Tetsutetsu!" Midoriya cried out for his friend as he fell right back down, almost knocked out from the beating he just got as Wolfram used some metal railings to nail him to the floor and keep him there before he started moving towards him with sinister intent.

"Stop it!" Jiro shouted at him, he was down, he couldn't even keep his quirk up under that strain and had turn it off as he falling, Tetsutetsu wasn't a threat to him so he should just leave him alone!

"Stop! Stop this!" David joined in as he couldn't stand to watch as such a promising young man was brutally demolished like this but Sam only pushed the gun closer to his head to silence him. But that did get Wolfram to pause his advance as he turned to walk towards them, leaving Tetsutetsu on the floor, dazed and in pain but otherwise, not due to more punishment.

"You're not in control here, not anymore." Sam told him as Wolfram got to them and picked up the discarded case.

"Now, where were we? Oh yes, why your assistant here decided to stab you in the back." Wolfram restarted what he was saying when he came into the vault and found this little party.

"Why, Sam? Why would you do this, trick me, trick all of us?" David asked him again, now at his wit's end and only wanting answers to this madness.

"You're the one that tricked me, professor." Sam told him, sounding as he was barely holding back his fury at some forgotten slight against him. "I've been your assistant for all these years, and you let them take out work. We could of hand fame and fortune, but no, you just stood back and watched as they took our greatest work from us and sealed it here, waiting to be destroyed." He said as Wolfram smirked as he held up the case for him to see, loving how the good professor's eyes widen in shock and fear at the implications of this whole thing.

"Are you crazy, Sam? There was a reason that damned thing was sealed away and the project terminated. Such a device is too dangerous to just be allowed to exist." David shot back, started to sweat as he looked at the box as if it contained the devil himself.

"What the heck are you talking about, what in the hell is in that case?" Jiro yelled at them, having no fucking clue what was so important about that case above all the others in this damn vault that was worth a hostage situation and the professor sweating like a pig as he looked at the damn thing with a glare that set it on fire if he had a quirk that did just that.

"I'm so glad you asked. Within this briefcase, might very well be the good professor's greatest work." Sam explained to them with a smile that looked far more sinister than he did mere 10 minutes ago as David looked down in shame at that reminder. "This handy little device can amplify someone's quirk." He told them, getting a surprised reaction out of them, even Tetsutetsu who was barely able to even look at him from his position on the floor.

"Wait, is that even possible?" Jiro asked him, having heard of ways that could be done, but all were both short-term and illegal in most parts of the world, including Japan.

"You mean to tell us that that case has trigger in it?" Midoriya asked, surprised that David would work with drugs, illegal ones at that as even in the States, trigger in all its forms was illegal to both have and sell. That stuff was a modern-day cocaine in terms of popularity with entire underground networks dedicated to it, or at least, that was Mister X told him during his time training under Yoroi Musha.

"Nothing like that, this device is so, so much more than simply trigger. Unlike drugs, this can amplify someone's quirk without doing any damage to their brain or body, though we never did finish testing yet, didn't we professor?" Sam asked David, torturing him with this knowledge as it was clear to both Jiro and Midoriya that David was far from proud about this, and Sam was using that to mess with him. The bastard! "Yet despite all that, our sponsor's confiscated this prototype and all our research data, then they demanded that the project be abandoned." He finished as he scowled at the memory.

"If you remember that, Sam, then you remember why they killed the project. Such a device would drastically affect the very structure of superhuman society. Governments the world over put pressure on us to end that cursed project, and we did." David reminded him of their results, of how they could have lost most if not all their funding if they kept going on that road. That cursed path that he wished he never considered. But Sam didn't look all that concerned about that, if anything, he looked as indifferent to this as one would be about the ants they step on while going to work.

"You of all people should know, that once a discovery has been made, it is our duty as scientists and researchers to pursue it as far as we can, wherever it leads. Such things as morality and ethics have no place in this profession, only the thirst for innovation and progress." Sam shot back, showing off that he truly didn't care for the social consequences.

"That's it, you all this just to see what would happen?" David asked him, feeling his heart crack at the thought that the man he thought he knew for years, that he considered to be a dear friend and colleague, would endanger all those lives, did endanger lives tonight across the island, just to see how that damned thing would work. He….he was treating this whole thing like one big experiment!

"Mostly, of course, the frame that will come with being the one who created and refined such technology, as well as the millions I'll make selling this to the highest bidder, will be nice, I can use that money to continue on with a few of my projects." Sam added on, showing that he also did all this out of pure greed. Hearing all this, hearing about the man he looked up to, who had helped him when he had trouble, who was there for Mellissa like an uncle, who seemingly cared for them all, was willing to commit such evil for nothing more than greed and his curiosity, send Midoriya off the rails in fury as he started snarling and struggling against his restraints like a bad beast.

"You fat son of a bitch! You betrayed our trust! Hurt people! Threaten the lives of so many innocents, all that for a damn payday and a pat on the back?!" Midoriya yelled at him as he struggled against his restraints, either not noticing or not caring that he was started to bruise around his wrists and ankles from his efforts. "Research my ass! You're just a weak-willed, greedy tub of lard! Can you not fathom what untold destruction such a device would bring? Pandora's box is right, that thing will be nothing but death and chaos! Or are you that self-absorbed that you don't care for the millions of people you're going to hurt it if means you get a good job sticker!?" He would have gone on but he found himself otherwise distracted…

BANG!

"Motherfucker!" Midoriya cursed out loud as Wolfram shot him, the bullet while hitting the vest, was a much stronger one than the ones used by the other guys which meant he packed a hell of a lot more punch as he wheezed and cough up some bile and spit, the fight having been taken right out of him.

"Izuku!" Jiro and Tetsutetsu screamed out in concern for him as he didn't stop wheezing.

"Midoriya!" David called out as he tried to rush to his student's aid but the gun to him stop any sort of plans he had.

"Quite the mouth on him, ain't he?" Wolfram joked as he put his smoking gun away, not caring that he just shot a child with a round designed to be used against big game, though props to the company that made the vest, he didn't think it was capable of stopping that slugger in the first place, rather he thought it would have punched right on through and got stuck in the wall behind the poor brat.

"Izuku Midoriya, just some quirkless brat that thinks he's great because he can use a screwdriver. I never really liked him that much or his father for that matter." Sam replied as he looked at the boy as he struggled to get his breathe back in him before he looked away in disdain.

"S-screw you, don't you dare…dare dis my old man, you hear me, Porky?" Midoriya, ever the fighter, spoke up through the heavy, pained breathing as that shot didn't do him any favors about the pains he was having before being shot again, now it felt like all the bullets that hit him were striking back with a vengeance. In response to his insult, Sam turned his gun to face him, this time aiming for his head.

"Someone needs to shut you up, permanently." Sam threaten the boy before he took a breath and aimed the gun back at David. There were other ways to skin a cat, and he refused to allow a foolish boy to drag him to his level with more insults, not when he was the superior being in terms of intellect. "But now isn't the time, we have other…concerns." He said a she eyed the doctor, observing as he shook in rage at the fact he just watched the boy he took as his student be shot.

"How could do that? He's just a boy!" David yelled at them for their cruelty as the other two teens tried their luck at breaking free.

"Easy." Wolfram said as he pulled out his gun.

BANG!

"It was as simple as pointing the gun and pulling the trigger, kinda like right now." He finished as he shot David in the gut, dropping the doctor to his knees from both the shock and the pain as the bullet went through and through. Leaving him only his hands to try and stem the bleeding as he started to take heavy breathes.

"Sorry, professor," Wolfram said as he used his quirk to rip some metal paneling from the wall before Sam pushed the man onto it before he used some other railing as a way to hold him down to it, though with that injury, he'll woundn't be fighting out of anything for a while but they needed him alive….for now. "But we don't have the time to deal with your struggling."

"Dave-sensei…." Midoriya uttered out in shock at the sight, started to cry from both the pain of watching this and not being able to help and the pain from his wounds as blood started to leak out from under his shirt, having already strained it crimson as one if not more of his welts started to bleed.

"I wouldn't try anything if I were you. If you do, I'll make that metallic bullet in your vest go right on through and go all Mexican jumping bean in your torso, I think someone as smart as you can tell that would be a slow and painful way to go." Wolfram told him for good measure he picked up on his worsening condition as he pointed his gun towards Jiro, who looked on like a dear in headlights at the threat against her life. "Or maybe I can put one in your friend over there first, so you get the watch her die before you join her. How does that sound?" he asked, enjoying as the group fell into despair from their situation before lowering their heads in defeat.

"Leave them alone!" David, though injured and losing blood, defended them nonetheless from his prone position, but his words only made the two laugh at him more.

"Haha! You don't have any power over me, so what will it be, professor? Come quietly or do I need to…." Wolfram asked as he made a show of pulling back the hammer as the gun was still trained on Jiro, who wasn't even facing him anymore, just praying that it would quick. "Give you more incentive?"

"Stop!" David cried out as he started to cough, blood staining his lips as he started to cry at all this before he surrendered. "…I'll go, just please, don't hurt them."

Well, that was long then I thought it would be, but I'm happy with it. A lot happened with chapter, from their little fight to their genius plan to scale the damn building, which yes, I got the idea watching a movie but I can't remember the name. I'll put up that poll later but right now, I'm sleep and want to sleep so I'll keep this short. Hope you all liked it, if you did, or if you didn't, please leave a comment about your thoughts. For Those who liked the chapter, if you haven't already, please would you add this story to your following and favourite lists, it really helps and I love knowing how much many of you enjoy my work and want to see where else I take this.

NinjaFang1331: Thanks.

D3lph0xL0v3r: Well I did say that was doing this differently and the only other story I know about which writes about the movie doesn't change that either, so I thought, why not? They have different people present and a pro among them.

Blaze1992: Yes, guns are very effective but Izuku and the rest can't forget that it is a weapon that can kill with a single shot and as heroes, they trained to take down foes in non-lethal ways, even if that way is super painful such as getting punched in the face by All Might. Remember, Japan has like 1 gun related death a year, even Overhaul's own inner circle were only armed with semi-automatic pistols where if they were American they could have easily been packing SMGs or rifles.

SomePervyGuy: From your name alone, I can already tell why you want that lemon scene. I'm been holding off on it since they are very hard to write and I needed a part of the story where it could be fit in and not mess with the flow. Maybe I'll be able to get one in before chapter 50. As for 13, yes I know she's female and identifies as one but when I wrote that part of the story out, there were rumours that said otherwise, it didn't help that someone edited her wiki page to have '?' in the gender slot.

Tactical-Magician: Thanks.

Xeenith: I checked it out, it took a long time for that to fix itself since I have no clue why that happened in the first place even though I've tried to fix it what feels like a dozen times now.

Zukafew119: I couldn't resist not making use of that scene. In fact, I'm looking into more games the class and/or boys can play in the future, one of which is monopoly and Mario kart as those games…..they can bring the hate in us all out in full, which makes for funny viewing. Well they would need a way to scout out the place and Jiro has shown herself to be quite good at that as Tetsutetsu was present when the two classes did their combat trial. The discussion was a bit harder as I didn't want to use too much of the movie but I think I did a good job as you say. Yu was their main ticket as though they may have decided to act anyway, at least with that their main reason for wishing to step back is gone as bar Mineta, none of them have shown cowardice tendencies in cannon.

You know, when I gave him those night sticks, I was thinking of Nightwing rather than Black Widow but hey, it fits. Just don't think I'll be giving him a skin-tight leather combat suit anytime soon. Them being able to electrocute people was also Nightwing as he's modified his own night sticks to have a range of functions over the years. The heels, that is an issue I have with them as we always hear how women say they'll super uncomfortable to wear for long periods or when walking a lot, yet a bunch of heroines and villainesses in fiction where them no problem. As I've said in the past, they have different people and I pro so the odds that Mineta would have been able to make that mistake were very low. The hacking itself was Mellissa's time to shine since Izuku may also be a whiz with computers, she knows the I-island system far better than he does.

When they dealt with Stain, they knew what they were up against, that he had killed and crippled pros. The villains in the movie may have been dangerous but they were taken down pretty quickly by the group, I wanted to change that by laying bare that they are your enemies and they'll not hesitate to go for the kill. You could probable guess which one of the villains took that one's head off. As with the gear, though most guard stations won't have them, that's more because most guards aren't armed like the ones on I-island who have to ace as both security and a police force.

With the chapter sizes, they change a lot these days because I keep finding myself getting too much into and going over the limit I set for myself. This time round, I tried to stick with that limit the whole way. With the pairing thing, I already said that it may grow to have more in the future but I ALSO said that would take time, work and set-up. What I don't get is why people keep asking for Mellissa when I've already stated they have a brother sister type relationship, I don't care how popular the 'Sweet home Alabama' meme is, they treat each other as siblings and ONLY siblings. But with Denki and Kyouka's thing, I might be able to make them a thing by the time I finish with the stuff for season 3, so before the Overhaul Arc but most likely after the Provisional Licensing Exam Arc.

Guest: That was done for two reasons, from our POV it was done because Izuku is always the rider in these stories and I wanted to try something different. The second is from a in universe POV where he wanted to show off all his gear and talents to both the pros watching and to the world. He could have used just his wings and won the whole thing but that would mean he's only showing off the one piece of equipment. It was why he only used them in the final stretch of the first event and chose to use his boots in the second event. As you saw in the battle section, he used his smarts as well as other pieces of gear to gain the upper hand along with the boots and his wings.
