Kagome's POV

I followed Jakkens trail through the trees keeping my eyes glued to the small... "Hey, Jakken?"

He stiffened in front of me. "Y-yes?"

I smirked. "What type of demon are you?"

He spun around anger flashing in his eyes. "Are you kidding me?!"

I blinked in surprise and shook my head. "No one's ever told me, I just assumed."

He froze in place. "Assumed?"

I nodded quickly. "Y-yes"

He shook his head in frustration. "I am an imp Demon." He puffed out his chest proudly.

I hid my chuckle behind a cough. "An imp? I thought all demons took after animals."

He looked up at me in surprise. "How is it we have all known each other for so long yet there is so little you know of our world?"

I glared at him and clenched my fists by my side. "I know more than you will ever know of your world Jakken!"

He looked up at me with narrowed eyes. "'My' world?"

I froze and looked down at my feet, I suppose now it is my world as well. I felt my heart skip a beat as the realization hit me. There are no demons in the future.

Jakken had turned around and kept walking muttering to himself and leaving me behind.

I clenched my fists harder my claws puncturing my skin without realizing it. Does the well still even work for me anymore? Will I never see my family again?

"Kagome?" I ignored him. "Kagome, you're bleeding."

I blinked in surprise and looked down at my hand where blood was steadily dripping to the ground. I shook my head and turned to face him. "Sorry, I must have zoned out."

Sesshomaru stared at me for a minute before looking towards where Jakken had disappeared. "Come, I'm sure they are waiting for us." I nodded and followed after him completely lost in my thoughts. "We're here."

I looked up and froze in shock. "You live in Shuri Castle?!"

Everyone around us looked at me in surprise.

I blinked and Sesshomaru was standing directly in front of me, his eyes borrowing into mine. "Only those that live here know the name of my home." He crouched lower to me. "How do you?"

I stared into his suspicion filled eyes and felt my face grow hot. He doesn't know yet, and I'm not sure if I should trust him with that information quite yet. "J-Jakken must have mentioned it!"

He continued to stare into my eyes. "Perhaps."
