~{Author's Pre-Notes}~
And we're back at it again folks with yet another chapter of comedy and cringe! Just took some of my finals for the quarter and will be off for winter break starting next week! Maybe then I could start working on chapters more and catch up to where I want to be in the story. As many of you from my other fic know, I will be holding off that fic for a while and start working on this one a lot more, (Besides one more chapter of that fic I had already been close to finishing and will be posting when viewed suitable.) But anyway, let's not waste time and just get to it!
Answered Comments (Oldest to Most Recent):
PassiveNox: Thanks
5AT05H1L1NK: Thanks for reading AND commenting on both of my fics. You're a great fan to take time out of your day to read and comment on both of them.
Nick4Speed: I mean, it's Izuku. He uses his inspirations for himself too, like how he copies All Might's smashes, so it's not surprising he would copy Bakugo's explosions too. And yeah, life's stressful in general. And as for Noir, I don't know how he feels about posting things on those sights, I'll have to ask him. And I'm not really gonna go to people and ask for them to draw something for my fic.
TQ679: Heh, yeah. But Enso just can't be like, 'hey class, wanna join us to prepare for fighting against probably one of the biggest threats in the world and learn a bunch of secrets that might change your opinion of me?' It's not that simple, but it would be nice to geet more people with them like a squad.
Vidkid: Damn, that a long comment. Nice. Thanks for getting so into describing my writing and reassuring me with it.
SpiceR4: Sorry, I ain't really gonna base Izuku's move around that stuff.
RavenKiller901: Pfft, I'm always in stress with life, it just be like that. And about that channel, I've gotten some of my own quotes already I'm saving up but still have glanced at what you had told me about.
PRemington900: Theoretically, Ikari could help Izuku use higher levels of One For All. This can come in the form of forming as braces of the sort around Izuku's arms so that the backlash of unleashing a lot of power wouldn't hurt him as much. However, because of the pain Ikari feels with Izuku and Ikari needing to form himself into other forms for Izuku to use, he can't really focus as those braces to lessen the burden of power.
Atomic11: Okay, here's the problem with just making a few changes to chapters is that there are still many inconsistencies in chapters that don't match up with older chapters, so I have to rewrite scenes or dialogue for chapters so that things make sense and to make the quality good over all.
Guest: I'll graduate college in like two or three years.
Guest (Mr.P): It'll be a while before they ever get anything out of him. And for your questions, I can't really say too much because it'll be spoilers basically. But just know it'll be a while before Izuku ever tells them.
Extra: Yell YEAH I read that chapter! It's great to know I kinda predicted the future out of a joke, lol.
Guest: Hm, from what I've remembered from my own fic and thoughts, (I suck at keeping information consistent, lol) I think he's learned the basics of karate, kung fu, learned capoeira (a dance-like martial art), taekwondo, and probably a few others I haven't thought about.
"What's up?"
Nearly all of Class A stood dumbfounded at the choice of words from the entity they had just been terrified of, the tense atmosphere gone by now.
"Eh?" Everyone deadpanned.
"Out of everything to say, that's what you choose?" Enso facepalmed.
"What else was I supposed to say!?" Ikari turned to him with his eyes burning red, "Hi, I'm the guy that caused your gentle friend to turn not-so-gentle and shatter his arms!?"
"Sounds about right." Enso responded with a nod.
Cross-veins popped out on Ikari. "You..."
"Hold up."
Everyone turned to the one who spoke, who was Kirishima staring at Izuku in awe.
"So you're... good then? You manage to control him without going all crazy stuff like in the festival!?" The red-headed boy seemed absolutely delighted.
"Yeah, no more exploding... Unless we get kinda pissed." Ikari looked down, recalling the time he and Izuku fought Stain.
Momo noticed the entity's tone when saying that, but before she could comment, Mina let out a cheer.
"HOORAY! Now you can actually keep your promise and stop breaking your arms!"
"She doubted me..." Izuku deadpanned.
"To be fair, I think everyone did..." Ikari sweatdropped.
"Oi, er... Ikari? Right?"
The entity glanced to Ojiro, who curiously stared at him.
"I'm just curious... When did you actually, what's the word... manifest in Midoriya?"
"Eh? Wouldn't he have appeared when Izuku's quirk manifested?" Ochako asked.
"Meh, sort of. I just woke up on a beach with my partner sometime before we went to school. School as in here." He said while pointing down.
"And... you have no ill intentions towards Izuku?" Momo questioned, staring with mixed emotions of suspicion and worry.
"Hey! Those were on accident, alright!?" Ikari pointed out, then poking Izuku on the head. "Like my partner told all of you before, I only lashed out because of his own desires! We both have messed up heads when he gets angry!"
"But the bottom line is that Izuku and Ikari have come to terms with each other, so now it's unlikely for him to lose control of himself again." Enso spoke up.
"And by the way, it's not like I wanted to hurt him! It hurts me too, you know!?" Ikari fumed.
"Can you elaborate?" Shojo asked.
"I feel the same pain my partner goes through and vice-versa."
"You... experience the same pain as Midoriya-chan?" Tsu croaked with a chill, recalling just how purple Izuku's arms had become at the festival.
"Yup... Hurts a lot. But yeah, I don't really have a reason to hurt my partner. If anything, I should be doing everything I can to make sure he doesn't break his goddamn arms."
Izuku flinched, "S-Sorry..."
The class watched as Ikari scolded Izuku, all of them in awe at just how differently Ikari ended up being from what they assumed he would be. After all, they knew the entity had caused so much pain for Izuku, but at the same time, he didn't, or he didn't mean to, at least. It did give everyone peace of mind to know that Izuku had control of his 'quirk' now, especially the girls, who looked the most relieved and were smiling.
Enso glanced around at all of his classmates' expressions and concluded that they have already accepted Ikari and appeared even excited to meet him.
"So can you really copy our quirks!?" Sato asked.
"Sort of. My partner said this before, but I can only change shape to match them."
Ikari rose his right arm, and it split into two limbs.
"Like octopus man over there."
Shojo raised an eyebrow and tilted his head as Ikari's split 'limbs' combined back into one arm, to which black fire emerged on it.
"Or Mr. You're hot, then you're cold."
The fire was then put out as his arm turned into a drill of the sort.
"Or I can make my own things."
The drill then started to rapidly spin.
"Like making this drill go brrrr."
"What was that last one?" Izuku deadpanned.
"Yeah, so..."
Ikari turned his head, only to stop when his eyes met another dark being's golden ones.
"..."
"..."
Dark Shadow and Ikari stared at one another from a small distance apart. Everyone noticed their stares and kept quiet as their curiosity peaked, realizing that an interaction between the two was something they didn't know they wanted to see.
Ikari and Dark Shadow extended their bodies and grew closer to each other, only a few feet away. Ikari tilted his head curiously while Dark Shadow simply narrowed his eyes to him.
"U-Um-?"
Enso covered Izuku's mouth.
"Shhhhh... They're studying each other." He said with a surprising amount of interest on his face. "Which one will be the first to pounce the other and assert dominance?"
"They're hunting each other!?" Izuku froze.
Tokoyami didn't seem to know what to make of the situation as he stared blankly at his quirk interacting with the similar being.
Dark Shadow and Ikari floated closer with their hands cautiously reaching forward, acting as if any sudden movements would set something off.
"What is even happening?" Shinso sweatdropped.
Their hands were only a few inches away from each other, and after another moment of hesitation, both finally pressed their palms together.
"Boop."
"Boop?" Everyone repeated with blank looks.
Both living quirks looked down at their hands touching, then glancing up to each other. Dark Shadows eyes and mouth rose in a delighted smile while Ikari's jagged grin grew bigger and his eyes brighter.
"Hello there." Ikari beamed.
"General Kenobi." Dark Shadow chuckled, "You are a bold one."
"Eh?" Everyone else turned black and white with question marks flying all over the place.
Shinso chuckled, being one of the few to get it.
Dark Shadow glanced around at everyone, noticing their confusion before
cross-veins popped on his head.
"You uncultured swines!"
"If he knows that reference... Then wouldn't that mean...?" Shinso turned his head at Tokoyami's direction, the bird-body sweating. "Heh."
"It's so good to finally talk to you!" Ikari said with visible excitement. "I've wanted to meet you the most! Dark Shadow!"
Dark Shadow turned back to him in interest, "I didn't know I wanted to meet you until now. And now that I see you, it's... weird. Am I a bootleg version of you? Or are you copying me?"
"Dark Shadow, be respectful around your counterpart. For one day, we will have to induce in combat discover just who has the stronger being of darkness." Tokoyami declared with a determined fist.
"Wait, we will?" "Wait, we will?" Izuku and Ikari both asked with widened eyes.
"So how does it feel!?" Dark Shadow cut in. "To be stuck to someone? To come in and out and help them out?"
"Oh, very painful." Ikari nodded.
"Yeaaaaaaaaah I'm glad I have Tokoyami..." Dark Shadow remarked.
Izuku was on the ground with a comedic aura of depression. "I said I was sorry..."
"Can we please change the conversation?" Enso asked with a wave of his hand. "The bottom line is that Izuku and Ikari are working together now, there shouldn't be any more instances of them losing control (more or less), and they're going to focus on not breaking their arms."
"I get it, I get it already... I swear to god I get it..." Izuku comedically cried at his arms being mentioned.
"Hey, did you pop out when your partner fought the Hero Killer!?" Dark Shadow asked in interest.
Ikari flinched and instinctively started rambling, "N-No! Well, I mean, yeah, but not really too much! It was where I talked to my partner to save my friends! Er- his friends! Or are his friends my friends, or am I not friends with them yet? But I came out to save them just when everyone was on the ground because of the blood quirk! But why didn't his quirk affect me? Wouldn't my partner being paralyzed mean I would be as well? Or is there some weird loophole that allowed me to move afterward? What even is my blood type if I don't have blood? Mutter, mutter, mutter..."
A storm of text came out from Ikari's mouth while everyone watched with widened eyes.
"Another Izuku." Todoroki sparkled.
"A part of Izuku that can act like him... Amazing." The girls all stared in inteerest.
"Stop that." Enso flicked Izuku on the nose.
"OW! Wha-Why me!?" Izuku whined.
Ikari flinched and held his nose, then glancing back to Enso. "Don't do that!"
"Then shut it." Enso walked forward to be in the middle of everyone, getting their attention. "So I hope this reassures all of you. Izuku has taken a step forward in controlling his quirk and advancing it. I hope all of you had the chance to do the same with your own quirks at your internships, as these experiences are valuable to not only grow stronger as heroes, but to learn how to be heroes."
Everyone's minds immediately went back to the monologue Enso gave before class even began, making many of them look down in thought.
"All of you have a lot to learn... And so do I." Enso sighed. "As much as it's a hassle to learn-"
He stopped when he glanced back to see Ikari and Dark Shadow playing rock, paper, scissors.
"...What are you two doing?"
"Playing!" Dark Shadow said out loud as he opened his hand for paper while Ikari held his closed hand for rock. "That's two out of three! I win! Ha!"
"Damn it..." Ikari grumbled.
"Dark Shadow, cease with this foolish behavior!" Tokoyami called.
"But why, though?" Dark Shadowed turned back to him with a question mark over his head.
Enso sighed and karate chopped both Dark Shadow and Ikari.
"Ow!"
"Ow!"
"Ow!" Izuku winced as he rubbed his own head. "Again, it hurts me too, you know!?"
"Take this seriously, you idiots." Enso simply addressed the two entities.
"Yes, sir…" Ikari and Dark Shadow whined as they rubbed their heads.
"Why does it seem like Enso has more control over their behavior than me and Tokoyami?..." Izuku thought as he and Tokoyami sweatdropped.
"I Am Here! Because you're all late!"
Everyone turned to the sky to see All Might fly from the sky and land with a powerful thud near the group.
"What is the holdup, everyone? I believe I instructed the next group to go and-?"
He paused when he noticed Ikari beside Dark Shadow.
"Er...?"
Ikari's eyes brightened as he excitedly stretched to All Might and took his large hand with both his smaller ones, shaking it energetically.
"All Might! Big fan! Don't know if it's because of my partner or not, but I think you're really cool either way! It's so good to talk to you! I'm Ikari, you know me! Maybe not 'know' me, but you still do!"
"Yup... Such an Izuku." Mina nodded with a smug grin.
"Eh?" Izuku blanked out with a question mark above his head.
All Might was taken aback by Ikari's appearance, but once he heard just who he was, he let out a proud and booming laugh as he shook Ikari's hands.
"So Young Midoriya has finally managed to work with you? Outstanding! I would love to speak with you more, but I'm afraid we've wasted enough time as it is! Everyone! Let us return to the lesson! The next group, get in position now, please! You can all speak to Midoriya and his quirk after class!"
"Yes, sir!" The class responded, with a few starting to move.
Bakugo's eyes were narrowed in on Izuku and Ikari. His pupils shrunk as he saw just how much Izuku changed over one week. His newfound control, his new advances on his power, it was infuriating. His childhood acquaintance just kept moving forward, while it was clear that he was getting left behind.
"I'm gonna catch up... I AM!"
The rest of the class then went on as normal, with the other groups concluding their own races. But everyone couldn't help but notice that Enso's building hopping skills appeared to have improved, making Izuku sweat with worry as he wondered how much of it he did during his internship.
After class, everyone returned to the locker rooms even more excited than when they entered them an hour earlier, rambling with one another and congratulating Izuku for his newfound control over Ikari.
"He can even become your clothes!?" Sero asked in shock as Izuku took off his hero costume while Ikari quickly formed a black shirt to hide his scar.
"Um... Yeah." Izuku smiled, simply hoping Ikari wouldn't somehow expose his back.
Kaminari had a hand on his chin in thought. "Wait, so if it becomes your underwear-?"
"Please stop talking." "Please stop talking." Izuku and Ikari deadpanned.
"Psst, hey, guys." Mineta grinned beside Izuku.
"Eh?" Izuku glanced his head down at the short boy.
"Look at this!" Mineta whispered as he motioned them to a slightly peeled back poster that exposed a hole behind it.
" A hole?" Izuku looked to what Mineta hinted at.
"It's probably here thanks to the efforts of those who came before us!" Mineta said with steam coming from him in excitement. "Next door is, you know…" He nudged Izuku's leg with a smug grin. "The girl's locker room!"
The guys all had their eyes change. Some in wonder, others in fluster, and some at disgust to Mineta himself.
"M-M-Mineta! You can't be serious!?" Izuku stuttered with a blush.
"Stop this, Mineta! Peeping is a criminal act!" Iida shouted to him with karate-chopping motions.
"My little Mineta is already a criminal act!" Mineta shouted.
"Emphasis on 'little.'" Shinso smugly grinned.
Mineta ignored this and turned to the hole while breathing heavily.
"M-Mineta, you can't do this!" Izuku spoke up, thinking of all his female friends.
"Shut up! You already have a harem! At least let me enjoy this!" Mineta snapped at him with fury in his eyes.
Izuku's face turned crimson red, and his mouth turned agape. "Wh-Wh-What!? Th-That's not-!"
Mineta had already torn the rest of the poster out of the way while his breathing hardened.
"Yaoyorozu's ample Yaoyoro-boobs! Ashido's slender waist! Hagakure's floating underwear! Uraraka's fine Uraraka-body! Asui's unexpected boobie-!"
A black fist suddenly extended from Izuku's shirt and nailed Mineta right on his cheek, the boy's eyes looking as if they were bulging by the impact.
"HURGH!" Mineta was shot to the side and crashed facefirst into the wall, everyone's eyes looking over with shocked expressions.
Mineta slowly slid down until he landed on the floor with a red face and swirling eyes.
Everyone then focused their gazes on Izuku, who had a straight-faced look as the black fist that came from his 'shirt' retracted back.
"There, problem solved."
"Ikari..." Izuku muttered with a blank expression.
"What? What else was I supposed to do?"
"Heh, you did well." Shinso grinned.
On the other side of the wall, the girls were irritated to find out that Mineta had tried to peep on them. However, when Jiro told them who intervened, nearly all of them smiled.
"Heh, guess we should thank Ikari later." Mina grinned.
"I'll plug up that hole in a moment." Momo said as she slipped off her hero costume.
Jiro wasn't listening to them as she kept her head on the wall with a depressing aura around her.
"I'm the only one he didn't say anything about… If a pervert like Mineta doesn't get excited thinking of me… then would Greeny even...?"
Her eyes dropped to the ground as her aura darkened.
~{U.A High-Afterschool}~
"WOOHOO! School's done!"
"I thought you liked being here...?" Izuku sweatdropped.
"See ya, guys!" Sato cheered as Class 1-A left their classroom after a few last notes from Aizawa for the day.
"Deku, wanna head out together?" Ochako cheerfully asked Izuku as he left the class.
"Um, sorry... Enso and I have to talk to All Might." Izuku apologetically smiled.
"We do?" Enso raised an eyebrow as he walked out beside Izuku.
"Yeah, he told me to get you." Izuku nodded.
Momo paused as she headed out, glancing back to Izuku with depressed eyes. He was no doubt going to speak to All Might about... whatever happened during the internships, wondering why he couldn't tell her. Jiro didn't seem to notice this, as the girl hung her head with a dark aura that's been around ever since changing in the locker room.
"Okay... I'll see you tomorrow then." Ochako said with a brightening smile, then turning around and taking off with everyone else.
"Yeah..." Izuku smiled back before he and Enso started making their way away.
"Izuku!"
"Eh?" The boy turned around to see Momo staring at him with a sad smile. "I'm glad... I'm glad you got your quirk together."
Izuku blinked in confusion as he thought back on their conversation on the roof. He assumed the girl would be... distant from him because of refusing to tell them anything, yet here she was, being happy for him and his accomplishment.
This made Izuku feel happy that things wouldn't change between the two, even if Momo was what he assumed to be still mad at him. However, this also filled his heart with guilt. She only wanted him safe, she only wants to help and support him through whatever he went through, but he denied her.
"Go on, say something." Ikari mentally nudged him.
He looked down with a look matching the guilt he was feeling.
"Thank you, Momo..."
Momo saw how his mood changed, and her smile faltered.
"Izuku... I-"
"I'll talk to him."
Momo paused as she saw Izuku lift his head with a serious look.
"I'm sorry I have to keep things from you... But please understand that it's not because I don't trust you. You're... really important to me, so much..."
Momo felt herself lightly blush at his declaration, her heartbeat increasing in pace as she put a hand on her chest.
"Izuku..."
She knew that anything the boy did, it was always for a good reason. Reasons always involve others' priority, from taking actions to save them, to simply being considerate with everyday actions.
She gave him a gentle smile.
"I'll... I'll wait. I just hope that... one day, you can tell me what's happening."
Izuku formed his own smile, believing they came to an understanding.
"Why does this sound suspicious?"
"GAH!" Izuku turned around in shock at Enso being there.
"Did you actually forget I was here? I don't know whether to be offended or to call you an idiot." Enso sighed.
"S-Sorry!" Izuku bowed apologetically.
"But it appears to me..." Enso turned to Momo as his eyes narrowed. "There's something going on."
Momo actually frowned.
"Hm..." Enso turned around and walked away with his hands in his pockets. "You said All Might wanted to see us. Let's not keep him waiting."
"R-Right!" Izuku glanced back to Momo, "I-I'll... see you on the train tomorrow?"
Momo smiled at him again.
"Of course."
Izuku then chased after Enso down the hall while Momo stared from afar, the girl keeping her smile.
"Important, huh?" She closed her eyes and turned around, making her way out. "I wonder how important I am... compared to the others...?"
Izuku, in the meantime, caught up to Enso and started walking beside him, the two going down the hall to make it to the teacher's lounge.
"So... What happened?"
"Eh?"
"On the rooftop, what happened?" Enso repeated.
Izuku looked down as he recalled the event.
"I... I talked to Momo and Jiro..."
Enso turned to him with an eyebrow raised.
"It wasn't only Jiro you spoke to?"
"No... Momo came with her. They both asked me about..."
Hearing his voice trail off, Enso stopped walking and faced Izuku, prompting the boy to stop as well.
"What is it?"
Izuku lifted his head with a nervous look, first taking a peek around him to see if they were alone before turning back to Enso.
"L-Lynch..."
Enso's eyes widened as his crimson eyes had a sudden glow to them.
He then narrowed his eyes into an intense glare.
"How do they-?"
"Jiro heard you." Izuku answered before Enso even finished. "She said she heard you mention him when... All Might call you."
Hearing this, Enso sighed and rubbed his eyes.
"A surprising mistake on my part... I suppose I became too trusting that she wouldn't listen in..."
"Y-You're not mad at them, are you?"
Enso lowered his hand, "No... What did you tell them?"
"That... That I can't say anything..."
"Good, that's how it should be."
"B-But-!"
"We can't tell them, Izuku..." Enso turned his back to him. "It's for the same reason why you can't tell anyone about One For All. People simply having knowledge of these aspects can be detrimental, and if villains somehow manage to peer into the minds of those who do know these secrets, then we're completely exposed."
"B-But you told Iida and Todoroki!" Izuku pointed out.
"I didn't really have a choice. They saw Lynch take you away firsthand. Not telling them at that point would've been wrong. Not to mention I believe their assistance would be quite needed ever since you helped the two of them clear their heads and gain stronger spirits."
"Eh?" Izuku paused. "What do you mean by that?"
Enso glanced back at him as he continued walking.
"Both Iida and Todoroki had their heads clouded by anger, causing the two to forget how heroes in this society 'should' theoretically act. Todoroki let his spite for his father keep himself from using all the power he should like a hero would do to save someone. And Iida was blinded by revenge that he forgot that heroes are selfless. They don't act for themselves, they always act for others. Thanks to you, their heroic spirits and determination are stronger than ever. Those are the types of people we need the most, those with the strongest spirit, those who'll push through no matter what pain or torment they go through, those who are willing to do whatever it takes to save people."
Izuku stared at Enso with a captivated gaze, feeling something different from him. He recalled the male's speech to the class about heroes and understanding, making Izuku tilt his head in wonder.
"Enso... Did something happen to you while you were with Kamui?"
Enso turned back to Izuku once more, keeping his neutral look.
"I simply learned how flawed society is... It can be better, but both sides are also flawed by how they're trying to change it..."
"Both sides?" Izuku blinked.
"Heroes and villains." Enso pulled out his arm and glanced down at his watch, recalling his time getting lectured by Kamui. "Both sides of the same coin..."
His eyes narrowed.
"The same rusted coin..."
He put his hand back into his pocket as he looked back up to Izuku.
"I'm simply learning how this world works."
Izuku's eyes were wide open after hearing what his mentor said.
"I didn't think... he'd actually become so much more considerate about heroes."
"But what I do know, it's that you're already what a true hero is considered to be. That's why All Might chose you. One with some of the strongest sense of justice and spirit. You're the kind of person who can fight Lynch, who enjoys using pain and fear to break down someone's willpower."
He glanced out the window and into the city off in the distance.
"I'm still not sure to get any of the others involved. As long as they don't know about Lynch, there are lower chances of them going through the pain you did. So... We're not saying anything."
Izuku looked down in sadness, thinking about how much Momo and Jiro were concerned for him.
"O...Okay..."
"Ara Ara~" A new voice called.
"!?"
In one of the rarest cases ever, Enso flinched, and his body started shivering despite keeping a straight face. Hearing this voice gave him chills from the unfamiliar implications of it.
He and Izuku looked ahead, only to see Midnight from around the corner and. walking towards them with a large grin.
"What luck, I was actually looking for you when I noticed you didn't leave yet." She cooed, her eyes targeting Enso.
"I'm in danger..." Enso narrowed his eyes.
"Midnight?" Izuku uttered, surprised to see her there.
"Oh, hello Midoriya." The older woman said with a wave. "Are you and Ureshi going somewhere?"
"Eh? W-Well... We're on our way to meet All Might. He needs to talk to both of us." Izuku answered.
"Yes, so we'll be on our way." Enso quickened his walking pace and zoomed past her.
But he didn't get too far before he felt Midnight's hand placed on his shoulder.
"Now, now, hold on a second." She innocently smiled. "After you're done seeing him, come see me in the nurse's office."
"I absolutely refuse."
Midnight just let out a laugh as she playfully slapped his back. "Come on now! Don't be like that!"
She then grew a sadistic grin as a menacing aura formed around her.
"Otherwise, I'll have to fetch you myself." She finished, licking her lips.
Izuku nervously shivered as he heard the teacher's threat.
"You guys need some kind of whistle around her..."
Enso glanced back at Midnight with a deadpanned expression, simply staring at her.
The teacher's menacing grin then changed back into a friendly smile.
"I'll see you there. I promise it'll be so worth your time." She said with a wink, then letting him go and walking away. Her hips swaying as she walked, clearly showing off.
Izuku stood rather dumbfounded as he watched Midnight leave, then turning his head to Enso in almost a robotic manner.
"Wha-?"
"Don't know, don't ask." Enso declared.
"U-Um... Then good luck?"
Enso sighed as he rubbed his eyes.
~{Teacher's Lounge- A Few Minutes Later}~
"Excuse us." Izuku politely said as he slid open the door to the room, only to hesitate when he saw Toshinori sitting on the couch with a rather serious expression, fingers even entwined together on his lap.
Enso came in after Izuku and paused when he saw the number one hero with such a tense atmosphere.
"It must be about what happened in Hosu..." Enso narrowed his eyes.
"Have a seat, both of you." Toshinori said, eyes not moving from them.
"Y-Yes, sir..." Izuku muttered, growing nervous at his tone.
The two took seats across from Toshinori, with a table separating them in the middle.
There was a moment of silence between the group before All Might spoke up.
"I'm sorry..."
"Eh?" Izuku blinked in confusion.
"You went through something terrible, Young Midoriya... I heard everything in detail. I'm sorry... I'm so sorry I wasn't able to come and save you..."
Izuku immediately started flailing his arms in panic, "Th-That's not something you have to apologize for, All Might!"
"He's right. It's something I should." Enso said, keeping his expression blank. "I was a second away from saving him, but I didn't expect Lynch to already be there waiting. He caught me off guard, as normally when he's somewhere, he doesn't waste any time and gets to the point of capturing or killing people in his sights."
"I-It was just an unfortunate circumstance... N-Neither of you has to apologize." Izuku reassured them.
Toshniori stared at Izuku with his serious eyes, untwining his hands.
"How... How bad is it?"
"Eh?" Izuku turned back to him.
"Your... scar."
Izuku immediately froze as his eyes widened, being reminded of the scar behind him once again.
He looked down and nervously shivered.
"Y-You don't have to worry... It's not... bad."
"..." Toshinori looked down again, detecting Izuku not being entirely truthful no what he thought about the scar.
"I'm sorry..." He apologized yet again.
"I-It's okay, All Might! Like I said, y-you don't have to apologize!"
"There's no point in feeling sorry for yourself." Enso declared. "Let's simply move on..."
"..." Toshinori was quiet while Izuku looked down with a depressed look, one remembering the experience he had, while the other blamed himself for it.
"Oh, come on, you guys!"
Toshinori and Izuku were surprised as Ikari emerged from behind and floated between them.
"Don't be sad!"
He turned from Izuku to All Might.
"Because sad spelled backwards is das. And das not good."
"..."
"..."
"Did you just...?" Izuku stared blankly at his quirk.
"Ikari... Stop talking." Enso deadpanned.
"I regret nothing." Ikari declared.
"Er..." Toshinori sweatdropped. "Hello, Ikari."
The being turned back to him, where a large, jagged opening of red formed into an open-mouth grin.
"Hi again, All Might!"
"Get back right now, Ikari. This is serious." Enso sternly said.
"That's kinda why I came out, to lighten the mood, but okay..." Ikari's face became droopy as he retracted back to Izuku.
"Okay... So Toshinori, would you like to move on?" Enso directed to the hero.
Toshinori nodded.
"Yes... First, Midoriya, congratulations on coming to an understanding with Ikari. I'm looking forward to speaking to him more, perhaps after this conversation, and I'll be looking forward to your progress with him."
Izuku formed a big smile, his body relaxing at the praise. "Thank you-"
"We'll kick some ass!" Ikari cheered as he emerged from his partner with his hands in the air.
*Bam!*
"OW!" "OW!" Izuku and Ikari both clutched their heads after Enso comedically struck the entity on his head.
"I warned you."
"Meanie!" Ikari whined as he quickly retreated back into Izuku before he could get struck again.
"I-It hurts me too, you know!?" Izuku snapped.
"I know."
"And he still-!? Actually, that shouldn't be surprising..." Izuku hung his head in defeat.
"Anyway, young Enso, I assume there will be training with Midoriya regarding Ikari from now on?" Toshinori continued.
Enso nodded, "Yes, the next time we train at my residence, I'll have Izuku work on fighting alongside Ikari. However, this time, we'll have Iida and Todoroki joining us."
"That's right... Gran Torino informed me about them. So you've told them of Lynch and your otherwordly origins?" Toshinori asked with a hand on his chin in curiosity.
"Yes, they saw him firsthand. It would've been complicated to keep trying to the situation quiet from them. But in addition to telling them, I'll be training them as well, as they requested it from me."
"And what about young Shinso? Nezu had mentioned that you've also accepted him under your tutelage. Does he also understand your situation?"
"Well... No. I had accepted him into training because he had a somewhat similar mindset as Izuku, but I wished to see how strong his spirit and determination was by training him. After having him go through some of the first exercises Izuku went through to build up muscle, I have deemed him compatible enough to fight with us. And as for our situation... I believe I'll speak to him about Lynch the next time we train. He's already proven to be quite effective and with his potential and could be a valuable asset."
"And... you're gonna tell him about Lynch but not 'them?'" Izuku grumbled.
Enso narrowed his eyes and ignored this while Toshinori spoke.
"I see. Then, next... On the call, Gran Torino, he told me about your first moments having woken up. He gave me a summary of it, but... Lynch may be even more personally connected to you than I assumed?"
"Yes. It's apparent that I've done something that ruined his life, in his eyes, at least. That's something you've already known. But now you've also learned about the doctor I've held off on telling you about before, correct?"
"Indeed... It's left a lot of questions, but I believe they may be the same ones you may have towards yourself..."
"If it's about our previous history together, I'm just as confused as you are." Enso answered.
"I thought so... Then I'll continue." Toshinori turned to Izuku. "When you were fighting the Hero Killer, he licked your blood, correct Young Midoriya?"
"Eh? Yeah... His quirk involved ingesting blood to stop someone from moving... What about it?"
"Well, remember what I told you when I gave you my power?" Toshinori asked, raising his hand with a motion mimicking holding a strand of hair.
"Eat this." Izuku said with a very detailed face to resemble All Might's.
*Smack!*
"ACK!"
"Not that, you idiot." Enso sighed after slapping Izuku on the back of his head.
"Could you stop that!?" Izuku whined. "And what did All Might mean, then?"
Toshinori looked serious. "That it didn't matter what you ingested to obtain One For All as long as you took in my DNA?"
Izuku's eyes widened in horror.
"Then does the Hero Killer have-!?"
"No, no, no!" Toshinori reassured him as he waved his arms. "I thought you'd be worried, but that's not how that works."
"Eh?" Izuku blinked.
Toshinori lowered his arms onto his lap. "One For All cannot be transferred to anyone unless the holder wishes it. So it cannot be stolen by force."
"Not by normal means of stealing DNA to ingest..." Enso muttered.
"Yes... However, it can be passed by force. I don't have to tell you this, but you shouldn't ever think of performing such an act." Toshniori stated sternly.
Izuku straightened his back, "Of course!"
"Then is that it?" Enso asked, leaning back in his chair.
"Well... It basically is. I called you here simply to go over what has happened so far. Young Midoriya... I'm glad you're not letting the incident in Hosu get into your head. No matter what Lynch has told you, you're already an amazing hero fit to be the number one."
Toshinori gave him a big smile.
"Don't forget it."
Izuku returned his smile with his own bright one.
"Thank you... A-All Might."
Enso stood up from his seat and stretched his arms.
"Then I'll be taking my leave."
"Are you going to meet Midnight?" Izuku asked as he turned his head curiously.
"Hell no. Why would I meet with an obviously dangerous woman?" Enso rolled his eyes as he headed for the door.
"B-But she asked to meet you! It'd be rude not too!" Izuku declared.
"M-Midnight called to you!?" Toshinori exclaimed in horror.
Enso paused and glanced back at him with an eyebrow raised.
"What is it? You make it sound like I'm in great danger."
"I-I mean..." Toshinori nervously looked down. "I wouldn't say that's far off..."
"Eh?" Izuku stared with a puzzling expression.
"If you don't meet with Midnight and she ends up having to seek you out instead... L-Let's just say she might vent some frustration onto you... Making her angry is something you should never do!" Toshinori declared. "Nezu has told me some scary things that were reported..."
Enso thought back to when he referred to Midnight's age during one of their classes. He remembered the tight grip she had on her whip as she gave a menacing aura.
"...God damn it." He groaned and faced forward as he slid the door open. "I don't know what I'll regret more... Going or not going..."
The door then shut behind him as he left, leaving Izuku and Toshinori behind with mixed looks of worry and confusion.
"W-Will he be okay?" Izuku uttered.
Toshinori rubbed the back of his head as he looked down in thought.
"I... actually don't know. But worst-case scenario, I'm sure he'll just escape through a window."
"Is that just a normal assumption now?" Izuku deadpanned.
~{A Few Minutes Laterr}~
"This is the part where any other student would get nervous and anticipate something..."
Enso thought this as he stood right in front of the door of the room Midnight had instructed him to meet.
The nurse's office.
"And they'd be idiots for assuming..." Enso finished with a sigh. "Recovery Girl should still be in there, so I should be safe from whatever violent acts Midnight may induce if I tick her off..."
He then narrowed his eyes as he looked down at the ground.
"The R-Rated Hero, Midnight... If I recall from the festival..."
Enso recalled the scent that filled his nostrils when he had breathed in Midnight's quirk after his battle with Bakugo. Normally, it would've made any person fall into a deep sleep. But for him, it simply made his head burn with an image of three silhouettes flashing into his mind.
"Why...? I never understood why that occurred the way it did. It's odd that I'm immune to the main effects of her quirk."
He looked forward with serious eyes.
"Perhaps... She called me over to discuss it? She may not have had time before because of our internships..."
He reached forward and grabbed the door handle.
"Let's find out."
He slid the door open, ready to see what it was the teacher of U.A wished to discuss.
Only to have a bad feeling when he saw Midnight sitting with her legs seductively crossed, a rather dangerous grin on her face.
"Scratch that... I may have to be ready to dive out the window..." Enso deadpanned.
"Ah, Ureshi~" Midnight beamed in a sickeningly sweet voice. "How nice of you to see me."
"You're the one who threatened me to come... And call me Enso."
Midnight's hands went to her cheeks as her gaze of desire grew bigger.
"Oh? First name basis already? You don't waste time at all, do you?~"
"I tell everyone to refer to me by that name. Don't think you're special... And stop molesting me with your eyes."
Enso then glanced left where Recovery Girl's desk is, only to see it lacking the nurse. "Where's Recovery Girl?"
"She's already left after I offered to clean her office for her. Lock the door behind you, would ya?" Midnight answered while adjusting her red glasses.
"..." Enso stared blankly as he kept his hand on the door handle. "I swear to god this better be important..."He said he reluctantly closed the door behind him with a click.
"It is, it is!" Midnight smiled with a wave. "I wanna talk to you about a few... things." She said as she moved her legs to swap which one was on top of the other.
"Uh-huh..." Enso answered coldly, clearly not buying it.
"Oh, come now, there's nothing wrong with a teacher getting to know her student better, is there?" She said with an innocent smile.
"I've got a bad feeling about this..."
"Are you just gonna stand there? Or are you gonna come sit next to me?" Midnight giggled as she patted the spot next to her on the bed.
"I feel much safer over here." Enso responded with no hesitation.
"Heh, I won't bite~ Unless you make me fetchyou." The way she said this didn't sound as if it had any malicious intent, but Enso knew better coming from the dangerous hero.
He reluctantly walked over and sat on the edge of the bed opposite to Midnight, only for the teacher to scoot closer to him and pressed her arm against him.
"Now, now, don't be shy~" She teased as she kept close.
"What do you want?" He asked, staring straight ahead rather than at her.
Midnight pouted. "So cold..."
She then regained her smile as she moved her head close to his ear.
"Well, I do wanna talk, but I want to test something."
Enso turned to her with narrowed eyes.
"Test?"
Surprisingly, Midnight backed up from him and raised her arm, grabbing her own sleeve with a now surprisingly serious look.
"Does my quirk actually not affect you?"
"I figured she'd go over that."
Enso glanced down at the woman's sleeve, watching her pull it down to expose some skin from her arm.
"I don't understand it myself." He answered truthfully. "The first time I breathed in your quirk was at the festival. It didn't make me unconscious as I've heard Izuku claim it would, but rather, gave an irritating sting for a moment before I adjusted to it."
Enso saw hope light up in Midnight's eyes as she smirked.
"Can I test that out real quick?"
"For what reason?"
"It's important, please." The woman said, back to look genuinely serious.
"...Fine." Enso sighed.
Midnight smiled as her arm immediately emitted a pink aroma, only letting a small cloud of it come out in front of Enso.
Enso closed his eyes and took a deep whiff of it. Surprisingly, there wasn't any sign of pain from intaking the scent, nor were there any more visions of the sort flashing in his mind. All he felt was the odd but comforting scent of this mysterious quirk.
He remained still for a few seconds as the scent lingered, then opening his eyes when the strength of the smell faded.
Only to see Midnight with stars in her eyes, her face inches from his.
"Why are you so close?" He frowned as he backed his head away.
The teacher didn't seem to listen to him as she jumped to her feet with her arms in the air in victory.
"YES!"
Enso tilted his head with a question mark over it. But before he could question her, Midnight jumped back to her spot next to him and suddenly hugged his arm.
Enso immediately tried to pull it away, but Midnight kept a hard grip as she pressed herself against him, staring into his eyes with her own sky blue orbs reflecting a decision made.
"Say, Enso~" She cooed, licking her lips. "Have you ever been with a woman before?"
Enso deadpanned as alarms went through his head.
"Define... 'been with.'"
Midnight purposely pressed her voluptuous figure against him, her head getting closer to his ear.
"You know? Talk to a lot of girls?" She seductively whispered as her hands moved on Enso's. "Have a... 'special' relationship with any of them?" Her hand slid down as her face suddenly got even closer to Enso, who could by at this point pick up another scent of fresh breath mints.
"Maybe... had 'fun?'"
The implication of how earlier she appeared to prepared disturbed him.
Enso moved when Midnight's hand moved along his leg, standing up and suddenly pulling his arm from her grip, much to the pro's shock.
"Eh?" She blinked, confused about what he was doing.
Enso stood up straight as he adjusted his tie, then glancing down at Midnight with an unamused expression as he said one word.
"Begone."
The female turned black and white with her mouth agape in shock.
"Wha-!? Wha-!?"
She was frozen and stuttering in disbelief until she saw Enso walking towards the door.
"Wait, wait, WAIT! Where are you going!?" She suddenly shot up to her feet, completely baffled by this rejection.
"Leaving. I'm not interested."
In all her many years of being a hero, not once, not once had any man ever shown opposition to Midnight's looks. And she knew exactly what they were thinking just by their gazes alone.
But then there was the uninterested and even slightly irritated look Enso gave her...
Damn, that must've hurt.
Enso didn't get far to the door as he felt a tight grip on his arm and glanced back to see Midnight comedically crying, surprising him a bit.
"What in the-?"
"Why!? Literally anyone else would love to be in your shoes, so why the hell aren't you glad!? Is 31 too old for you!? I'm the R-rated hero, for god's sake! Any guy would love to have me pounce him! How the hell do you not find me sexy!? Are you gay!?"
"Hell no." Enso remarked to that last claim with cross-veins emerging on his head.
"Then what the hell am I missing!?" She asked, sounding desperate.
"Why the hell is she panicked? And for something like this, of all things? I'd assume she just move on to whatever male she could hunt next..."
Enso sighed as he tugged his arm but failed to free it from Midnight's grasp.
"You're not missing anything. I'm simply not interested."
"How am I not missing anything, and you're still not ravaging me like two rabbits locked together in a room with the windows closed with sexy music blasting and with enough hormones to populate the world over three times larger than its current population!?"
Enso deadpanned at the long metaphor.
"What the hell even is even 'sexy' music?"
"Why don't you just let me pin you down!?" Midnight cried out.
Both stood still in silence for a few moments as Midnight waited for Enso to answer. Her sky blue eyes stared into Enso's cold red ones, hope and desperation around her that Enso was confused about. However, hearing her ask this question just made him narrow his eyes.
"Are you an idiot?"
The desperate aura around Midnight cracked as cross-veins formed on her head.
"Uh oh."
The woman's eyes turned to flames as she let go of Enso and menacingly grinned, her sadistic side kicking in.
"Looks like someone has to teach you some DAMN manners!"
She reached behind her and pulled out a long, dark red whip with a black handle, immediately cracking the air with it before expertly flicking it to Enso.
Who promptly caught it in his hand with a white aura around him.
"Phew... That probably would've hurt if I didn't have Brute Style..."
Midnight's eyes lit up in shock.
"HEY! Don't catch it!" She yelled as she started pulling back her whip, struggling to do so from Enso's tight grip.
"Why?"
"Why the hell do you think!? I've gotta punish you, you brat!"
"Why?"
"Oh, we are NOT doing this again!" Midnight yelled, recalling the repetition of words when choosing hero names. "You know how rude it is to call a lady an idiot!?"
"First of all, you think I give a damn if you're a woman? Don't use being a female to make it seem like you have a special privilege over men. Second, I didn't technically call you an idiot. I asked if you were because your words and actions baffled me."
"Don't be a smartass!" Midnight snapped back as she continued to try to pull her whip free. "What the hell is up with this kid!?"
Enso suddenly let go while Midnight was tugging hard, causing her to send herself flying back.
"GYAH!" She comedically flew back with her back bouncing off the wall and then landing facefirst on one of the beds.
"Good grief..." Enso sighed as he rubbed his eyes in disappointment. "This is wrong on so many levels... Think about what you're doing. I'm a U.A student, a student. And you're supposed to be both a teacher and a professional hero..."
Midnight's head lifted up with her expression suddenly turning cheerful.
"Oh, don't worry about the small things if that's what's bothering you. I know you're older than all of the kids in class~."
"And how would you know that?"
"Nezu."
Multiple cross-veins popped on Enso's head.
"That damn rodent..."
"Okay, forgetting that. You're trying to seduce me... Se-duce, me. Someone you hardly even know, in the middle of a professional school, and in one of the most iconic rooms where those acts occur."
Midnight raised an eyebrow. "Wait, what does he mean by that last part?"
"Even if we were to do anything, why me? Why choose me out of literally anyone else? I'm sure your position would allow you to snatch up literally any male on the street and take them back to your dungeon."
"Don't make me sound like some sort of abducting rapist!" Midnight snapped.
"Oh, you're not?"
"You piece of shit..." Midnight grit her teeth.
"So back to my question, why me?" Enso asked before she could lash out again.
Midnight pulled herself from the bed and dusted herself off, then holding her whip tightly in her right hand as she placed the other on her hip, smirking.
"You're the only one who hasn't fallen asleep when taking in my quirk. You should consider yourself lucky~" She beamed.
"Oh, goodie..." Enso rolled his eyes. "If you don't want your quirk to get in the way of your intercourse, then why not ask Aizawa instead of me?"
"Oh, come on!" Midnight snapped. "That moody geezer!? As if!"
"If he's moody, then what am I?" Enso stared blankly.
"And you look better than him. A little cold in the eyes, and you could smile more, but other than that, you're pretty good looking." She said, a hand on her chin as she nodded in appreciation.
She then shook her head out of it and looked irritated again.
"Wait, I don't get why you're so against this!? You're a virgin, aren't you!? I thought you'd be glad!"
"Am I a virgin?" Enso wondered curiously to himself.
He decided not to wonder about it too much and sighed in disappoinitment.
"As I've said before, I'm not interested. Be more professional rather than trying to satisfy your sexual desires. I'm done here."
He turned back and reached for the door, but once again, he felt Midnight suddenly appear next to him while wrapping her arms around his yet again. And once again, she was comedically crying with desperate eyes.
"Please, I'm begging you!" Midnight begged.
"Oh, for the love of god." Enso thought as he looked downward at her, this time trying to pry her off his arms.
"You're literally the one chance I have left!" She pleaded.
Enso felt some meaning behind that as he continued to try to push the annoying woman off.
"Why am I the chance you have?"
"Please!" Midnight just begged.
"Give me one good reason why!" Enso said, his patience reaching its peak as he glared down at Midnight.
"I don't wanna stay a virgin forever!"
A record scratch cut off all the sound in the room, with both Enso and Midnight freezing while turning comedically black and white. An awkward silence filled the room, with Enso repeatedly blinking in shock as if he found the meaning of life. Midnight started to shiver and sweat nervously as her skin turned crimson red.
"You... There's no way..." Enso looked down as math symbols started flying everywhere around him, questioning life itself and wondering just how many of the other things he knew were actually lies. "Virgin? How? What is...? Impossible..."
Midnight let go of Enso and backed up, muttering some unintelligible words while trying to compose herself despite still shaking. Wanting to keep some sort of dignity in her, she put on a nervous frown and started rambling.
"I-It's not my fault, alright!? My quirk causes every man I try to nail to fall to sleep!"
Enso looked up, still bewildered by this new information he's heard.
"But... I don't... How? I don't understand... Can't you deactivate your quirk at will?"
Midnight flinched at that question, her eyes avoiding Enso's gaze as she fiddled with her fingers.
"I-I mean, I can... It's not like just showing my skin lets my aroma leak out. I-It's just that... Whenever I'm... I-It's different when I try to sleep with someone, alright!?"
"I... I don't get it... How? And even then, can't males still maintain an erection even though they're asleep?" Enso asked.
Midnight looked down in embarrassment.
"God, I've never felt more awkward in my life!"
"Y-You know what my quirk does exactly, right?" She muttered.
"I thought I did... From how Izuku explained it during a rant of heroes, exposing your skin allows you to release an aroma that can put anyone to sleep. But it's more affected towards males than females... Isn't that right?"
Midnight nodded, "For the most part..."
Enso raised an eyebrow. "For... the most part?"
"Well... for how my aroma puts people to sleep... I-It acts like a stress reducer for the entire body, or... relaxes it at least. S-So every part stops being tense... A-Allowing the person to sleep easily..."
Enso knew where this was going, putting a hand to his chin and looking down with a surprising look of intrigue.
"I see... Although the penis isn't necessarily a muscle in itself, it can still get 'tense' into an erection due to sexual stimulation or excitement. But your quirk causes the person to completely relax and lose both their focus and excitement. So... they become easily flaccid again... Making it so you can't have sex with them..."
"How can he say all that so casually!?" Midnight wondered as her mouth hung in shock, none of the red of her skin fading.
"Am I wrong?" Enso asked, looking back up to her.
Midnight flinched, "E-Er... I mean, you kinda hit the nail on the coffin..."
"But... There are still two things I don't understand." Enso told her. "One, can't you simply keep on most of your clothes when you have intercourse? And Two, I still don't understand why you can't just deactivate your quirk when you do it?"
"IT'S NOT THAT SIMPLE!" Midnight suddenly blurted out, face steaming red.
Enso tilted his head with a question mark.
Midnight avoided his gaze again as she grabbed her head in frustration.
"UGH! Why are you so calm about all this!?"
"Because I am. Now moving on." Enso nonchalantly waved off.
Midnight's hands then covered her face.
"L-Look, I-I can control my quirk... m-most of the time. B-But when I get... um..."
More steam came from Midnight's head as her words trailed off.
"B-Become... like 'that' then..."
She then became silent as Enso pieced it all together.
"Could it be...?" He deadpanned. "That when you're sexually aroused, your vaginal area leaks out your aroma uncontrollably?"
"ACK!" A comedic arrow of logic stabbed through Midnight's heart, a face of shock and terror expressed.
"It seems like I was right on the mark..." Enso sweatdropped.
"So it doesn't even matter if you're wearing clothes for intercourse... In the end, your own arousal made it so you couldn't have sex..."
"URK!" Another arrow struck Midnight painfully, causing her to fall to the ground.
"And growing up with an uncontrollable trait, no doubt any boyfriends you would've made must've lost patience and left you..."
"GACK!" A third arrow struck the suffering Midnight.
"And now you're 31, single, and still haven't gotten even one bit of actual sexual experien-"
"STOP TALKING!" Midnight shouted as she shot to her feet and appeared right in front of Enso, grabbing him by the collar and shaking him back and forth.
"Do you know how FUCKING frustrating it is!? For your quirk to be a blessing but also a GOD DAMN curse on yourself!? In my ENTIRE life, I haven't had ANYONE! And it just kept building up that I HAD to vent out in some way to compensate!"
She kept shaking Enso as she continued shouting.
"EVERYTHING! From becoming the R-rated hero, my whip, my attitude, it's all because I can't get DAMN laid! Because I'm SO FUCKING FRUSTRATED!"
"You know... That actually explains quite a lot about her..." Enso thought with a straight-faced expression despite being shaken.
"I thought about Aizawa before, alright!? But even he can't keep his eyes open the entire time! And now I've finally got a chance! I finally found SOMEONE who isn't affected by my quirk! But you're the ONE guy that isn't into me!? It's BULLSHIT!"
She stopped shaking Enso and started panting heavily, eyes glaring madly at him. No longer was she red from embarrassment, but red in complete anger. She was clearly livid after releasing such built-up frustration to him, shown by how tightly she held his collar.
"Are... you done?" Enso asked, wondering if she'll explode again.
"HELL NO!" Midnight pulled him closer to her face, staring directly into his eyes as she whispered, "I told you everything. One of my deepest, darkest secrets! So... you better take god damn responsibility!"
"Nope." Enso bluntly responded.
Midnight's eyes flashed menacingly red as she suddenly yanked Enso upward into the air.
"Welp..." The male thought with a blank expression.
The woman then pulled him down and slammed his back against the ground in an excellent fit of strength, even cracking the floor a bit. She then climbed on top of him, pinned his arms and legs down, and started heavy breathing with her eyes dilated in anger.
"That hurt..." Enso thought as he felt his body ache, especially with the new weight pressing him down.
He gazed straight up to see Midnight over him, the woman glaring down at him in silence as she continued to breathe heavily.
Despite the situation, Enso grumbled.
"Get off me... You're heavy..."
He felt Midnight's grip on his wrists tighten.
"You. Piece. Of. Shit." She snarled in a whisper. "A hot lady poured her heart out to you, and you have the nerve to reject her advance!?"
"Okay, you're being unreasonable right now. You were the one who brought up that you were a virgin and hinted to me why that was. I'm not obligated to do anything. I swear, you're even more unreasonable than Mount Lady..."
At the mention of that name, Midnight's eyes dilated as her grip tightened to the point where they started to hurt Enso's wrists. Enso was surprised to see this kind of reaction and felt another murderous aura coming from her.
Midnight was pissed.
"So… Is that it then?" She hissed, pupils shaking in her eyes. "You're just into that damn skank?"
"Could... you and Mount Lady be on bad terms?" Enso asked, now actually being cautious as to not to aggravate her further.
Midnight's eyes appeared blank as she muttered her thoughts aloud.
"She thinks she's so much better than me... Just because she's a little younger… And of course, out of everyone in the goddamn world, she got her hands on you..."
Her eyes lost life in them.
"Something tells me I have to say something... and fast." Enso thought as he felt his wrist feel like twigs under Midnight's grip.
"You misunderstand. I rejected any advances she made on me. Please don't snap my wrists." Enso quickly said.
"Huh?" Midnight blinked and regained the color of her eyes, her grip loosening.
Using the chance, Enso suddenly moved his arms out of Midnight's grip and grabbed her arms, then using his foot to push on her stomach before he flung her over him with a judo throw.
"Whoa!" The woman went through the air before she landed on her back against the bed, preventing any injury.
Enso got up and dusted himself off, glancing back at Midnight.
"Phew... That could've gone bad..."
"Wait, so you're not dating her!?" Midnight sat up on the bed with sparkles in her eyes with the addition of a large grin.
"Hell no. She's a glutton and a golddigger..."
Midnight stood on the bed with an arm up as if victorious.
"Then you're still on the menu!"
"No, I am not." Enso said with a twitching eye.
Midnight simply jumped off the bed and swiped her whip from the ground, wrapping it up and placing it on her belt happily.
"All I've gotta do is find a way to get you into women!"
"I am not gay." Enso sternly stated.
Midnight walked over to him with a smirk, "I'll show you that I'm better than that skank. I'll make sure you feel things you've never, felt, before." As she spoke, she used her fingers to walk along his chest.
"When the hell did this turn into a competition?" Enso backed up, feeling a chill from her touching.
"Since you mentioned that bitch!" Midnight suddenly blurted.
"What is it with her sudden mood swings?" Enso blinked.
Midnight then stomped passed Enso and unlocked the door, yanking it open with a slam before turning back and pointing at him.
"Mark my words, Enso Ureshi! I'll make you crazy over me! I'll show that damn rookie of a hero that youth isn't the only redeeming feature for a woman!"
"At least you've accepted that your not in your youthful phase..." Enso remarked.
"AND I'LL GET YOU TO STOP BEING A SMARTASS!" Midnight shrieked, then turning around and exploding down the hall in a sprinter's run.
"..." Enso had a stone-faced expression as he stared out into the empty hall, confused by the series of events that unfolded.
"What did I just get into?"
~{The Next Day: Musutafu Outskirts- 10:14AM)~
"Is everyone ready?"
Tsukauchi rose his voice as he called to the group of people gathered on the side of a highway. Like Tsuragamae had told him the previous day, there were over a dozen people who had gathered up as part of a search party. Everyone resided by the roadside and near an entrance to the forest. This group included a few small heroes, hounds, and police officers ready for action with the addition of several volunteers. Nearly everyone had items such as backpacks, water containers, and much more to prepare themselves for what would no doubt be a long day.
"We're ready, Tsukauchi." One of the officers nodded to him, offering him a megaphone.
Tsukauchi nodded back in appreciation before receiving the megaphone, then climbing up to the forest entrance and turning to everyone.
He raised the megaphone and turned it on, being sure to clear his throat.
"Alright! You all know why we're here!"
He raised his other hand to lift two pictures. One contained a photo of a college boy with black hair and grinning on a motorcycle, while the other was a photo of a fit, middle-aged couple happily hugging each other.
"It's been about a week since these people have been missing! We have no information besides this location being the last place they were reported to have gone! You all have the radios we've provided to you and will be splitting up in the groups I've assigned! Make sure to call in anything you find! We'll be searching until the sun starts to set! Good luck to all of you!"
The crowd of people nodded before they started marching forward, with several of them sticking close to each other. Tsukauchi himself got down and handed another officer back the megaphone.
"Put this in the trunk with my coat." He said, also handing the officer his trench coat and hat.
"Yes, sir!" The officer nodded before turning back and heading to the cars parked on the side of the road.
Tsukauchi then glanced to the entrance of the forest where everyone was heading.
"Well, here goes nothing."
