Alice is 'jealous' of Ryo's fansclub.

Prompt request from multiple reviewers. First part.

"Dear Kurokiba-senpai, I really admire you and your cooking!" Alice said, with a melodramatic tune, reading from a piece of stationery paper. "If you only looked my way at least once, I think my highschool life would be complete. Do you want to go on a date with me?"

She slammed the letter down, onto a stack on Ryo's desk that had a bunch of very similar letters. Ryo had quite a pile, as he became quite popular after gaining the Fifth Seat in the Elite Ten. "Girls these days are so very forward! I thought Japanese girls would be a bit more shy, you know!" Alice said, with a pout on her face. "I can't believe this!"

Ryo was busy filing away his share of paperwork from his Elite Ten duties. "...Are you actually jealous, miss?" he asked her. He could already hazard a guess of her response, but he asked anyway.

"Of course I am!" Alice replied immediately. Ryo looked up to her, confused by this outright admission. "I should be getting confession fanmail as well!" she said. "All my mail comes from girls! This is so not fair!"

"Oh," Ryo said. "...Of course." Of course that was why she was jealous, and not some other reason.

"Even Kinokuni has more fanboys than I do...!" Alice looked disturbed, holding her chin up on her palm as she slumped on Ryo's desk. "And you and Akira basically have girls running after you all the time! This is. Not. Fair!"

It was as if she was totally oblivious to how her phone was always blowing up with DMs from her male fans, Ryo thought. But he knew better than to point that out.

"Miss, it's more trouble than it's worth," Ryo said, barely lifting his eyes from his paperwork. "Dunno what to do with so-called fans and all these letters. I don't really have a use for them."

"You're no fun at all, Ryo!" Alice said, reaching out to swat him lightly on the wrist. "You should be more grateful, you know!"

Ryo just knit his brows, as if bothered by the documents. But it wasn't the documents that bothered him--it was Alice's lack of any sort of romantic bone in her body.

She was not jealous at all. In fact, Ryo barely remembers a single moment in their life when she even was.

Akira raised a brow as Ryo walked into the communal lobby of the Elite Ten, slamming down a six-pack of imported beer on the table.

"Alright, what did she do this time?" Akira readily asked. He knew the only times Ryo was visibly upset was when he lost in a competition, or when Alice was acting up beyond her usual.

Ryo grabbed a can, and popped it open, then plopping himself down onto the couch. "...She's not human," Ryo said, taking a swig of his beer. And that was all he said.

"You're absolutely right about that," Akira said, taking one of the beers off the table for himself. "Are you sure all that liquid nitrogen hasn't gone to her brain?"

Ryo could tell Akira was already teasing, with the way he was sniggering to himself. "...It's like she can't feel things.

Akira chuckled. "Well, she's unbelievably dense and out of touch with reality," he said. "She had a different upbringing from us ordinary folks, and I'm sure you know that. I suppose her privileged upbringing stunted her emotionally."

"You don't need to tell me that," Ryo snapped. He didn't like anyone even making the slightest suggestion that they knew Alice better than him. "I know, goddammit. So shut up."

Akira just snorted, laughing a little to himself. Crazy as Alice was and as abrasive as Ryo was, they were amusing for him to observe. He just watched Ryo drink some more, knowing that whatever Ryo's problem really was would come out sooner or later.

"...She just doesn't get jealous," Ryo said, almost a mumble, as if he didn't want Akira to hear it.

Akira heard it, anyway. "Hah!" he chuckled. He was well-aware of all the female attention Ryo had recently been getting, and was curious about how Alice would take it. Alice liked the attention, and even if she wouldn't say it upfront, she particularly liked Ryo's attention. But from the sounds of it, Alice was not being bothered at all.

Ryo groaned, and took another swig of beer, downing the can in that one go. Akira eyed the cans carefully, already thinking of how to hide them before Erina found them later and went on a tirade about drinking in Elite Ten offices.

"Look, if anything, maybe be thankful that she isn't jealous at all," Akira said. "Imagine a jealous Alice! That has disaster written all over it. Imagine the whining and pouting!"

Ryo tried to imagine said 'jealous Alice'--whining and pouting and all. She was always whining and pouting for many, many reasons, but never once because she'd been romantically jealous.

It would be kinda cute to see, at least once, Ryo thought to himself.

"Do I smell beer?"

Akira and Ryo were suddenly alarmed at the sound of another voice entering the offices. Akira almost made a move to hide the beer, until they saw Kuga Terunori walk into view. The third seat's face lit up, and he pranced in to to get a can of beer for himself.

"Not Chinese wine, but it'll do," Kuga said. "So, why are we drinking, my little kouhais? It's gotta be a girl! It's a girl, isn't it?"

Akira and Ryo looked away. It was well-known within the Elite that if you told Kuga something, it would probably be lambasted all over the headlines of the Totsuki Paper the next day.

Kuga, however, looked incredibly curious. That mischievous look on his face almost reminded Ryo of Alice. "So, if it's Hayama and Kurokiba, the woman in question has to be Alice-chan!" Kuga quickly concluded. "You two fighting over her?"

"Hell no!" Akira quickly spat out, almost derisively. "In fact, Kurokiba is stressed out that Alice doesn't get jealous over him!"

Ryo slammed down the can of the beer onto the table, reaching out for the bandana on his wrist. Akira said way too much. "HAYAMA!"

"That's easy!" Kuga said, oblivious to a Ryo that was now in berserk mode. "Just flirt with another girl in front of her! Plenty to choose from among all those fangirls, Kurokiba!"

"NOT HAPPENING!" Ryo yelled instantaneously. "You have no fucking idea how terribly she's gonna react to that!!"

"Oh… You're right," Kuga said thoughtfully, somehow ignoring how Akira was now up restraining a Ryo who looked like he was on the verge of strangling them. "We can't go too far, coz Alice-chan is totally gonna throw a fit, huh! But anyway, just leave it to me! I'm an expert of this sort of stuff, ya know?"

Kuga had mysteriously told Ryo to "leave it all to him", and had even somehow roped Hayama into plotting some grand scheme of how to make Alice Nakiri jealous. Ryo was mostly positive that nothing would come out of this. Even if Kuga had convinced himself to do it, Akira would probably be a voice of reason and rein him in, like he always did when Alice was up to something insane. He noted that Kuga was certainly the type to tease, constantly making comments about how Erina and Soma should just make-out and get a room, or how Isshiki and Kinokuni should just go out on a date already. He already made a lot of comments on Alice and Ryo as well, or Alice and Akira, as if he couldn't figure out who was going out with who. That got on Ryo's nerves a lot of times.

"KUROKIBA RYO!" Alice's unmistakeable yell rang across the Nakiri mansion, all the way up to the gym where Ryo had been occupied on the bench press. She appeared right before Ryo shortly after, pouting and hands on her hips. "What the hell do you think you're doing, making these huge decisions without me?! Were you ever going to tell me?! How long were you going to keep this a secret from me?!"

"What are you talking about, miss?" Ryo asked. Deep down he was confused, but being Ryo, he managed to keep his face completely neutral.

Alice shoved her phone to his face. Ryo focused, and found an interesting post, from the Totsuki Newspaper:

Elite Ten Fifth Seat Kurokiba Ryo to be holding a fan meeting and food lecture! If you're a fan of his, this is your perfect chance! Details in the caption below!

Even more so, what was attached to the post was a shirtless photo of Ryo, working out at a gym.

Who the hell took that photo? Who the hell organized this whole thing? This can't be Kuga, or is this what he meant?

Ryo was confused, then finally looking up to a very, very annoyed looking Alice.

a/n: one of the most requested prompts before was this one! it took me a while to figure something out, and then my draft got too long that I figured I'd just break it up into parts. :v

Thank you to Winterabbit and Dracosoul for the reviews as usual! Also thanks to kathrianna for that review! I'm so touched to know that there are people who reread and go back multiple times to this fic/anthology asdjaiakk
