Hello, I finally brought a new chapter. I had briefly just had an overwhelming amount of story ideas for my other main fandom, that I lost track on what to write for this one. But, I hope you enjoy this chapter, and like always questions will be at the bottom. :)

This summer was very different, Dad refused to allow me to be in danger and so I was shipped off to Ireland with my brother, and Professor Snape as our guardian and my teacher. Diedra would not be visiting this summer, or next as she had to go back into hiding. Voldemort being back, really had changed everything about how we lived. I wouldn't be allowed in my own house until he was gone from this world once more.

"Amelia?" Draco asked, worried about me as I was silent at the breakfast table. "You gonna be okay?"

"Yeah, just a lot to process." I replied to him, lying to my brother felt wrong...but he can't know that I knew all along. Our relationship is going to be tested a bunch these next coming years, I just knew it.

Professor Snape seemed to be listening closely to us, before he spoke. "Draco, the safety of your sister is compromised...especially with the Dark Lord back."

My brother nodded his head. "I know, father already pulled me to the side." He breathed before looking at me. "You are taking back the last name Swan for the remainder of your school years, or until you know who is gone."

"You two also will have to be careful with how much you spend time with one another." Snape added, making me wince at the mere thought. "It has been decided, unfortunately, that Ms. Malfoy will sit at her own table, not going to Slytherins or the kitchens."

"Dad told me." I whispered softly, before squeezing my brother's hand. "You will always be my brother."

Draco eyed me, before he got up and stormed off. I knew he didn't like change, didn't like being told what was right and wrong, and more to that he hated being separated from his family. He may blame me for that last bit, I wasn't entirely sure.

"He's mad at me." I spoke calmly. "He knows I know something, and that I refuse or I can't tell him."

"He is a Malfoy, and a true Slytherin...of course he knows something is up." Snape replied, before he pulled out a Defense book. "Now, you and I will be working tirelessly this summer, I hope you will be prepared."

"I need this, prepared or not." I replied, looking out the window. "Will it ever go back to normal?"

My teacher sighed, following my gaze; before guiding my attention to him. "Amelia, I am not going to lie to you. These next three years will be the hardest three, you will have to face. Many probably won't make it, but your safety is my top priority." He told me simply.

"What about Draco, who will protect him?" I asked, worried for my brother.

"I believe your mother will have much to say on that, but Draco will be protected, do not let yourself worry." He told me simply, before he pulled out a book all on Painilplity. "By the end of the summer, you will master this craft, and you will be a skilled Legilimens."

"Yes, Professor." I replied, and we got started immediately. Needless to say, we worked like he said tirelessly. By the end of the day I knew a little bit more about Snape, he was abused both in and out of school, he was known as the Half-blood Prince in school and by Voldemort. The man had been through so much in his short thirty four years, and also now knew when his birthday was...he was not amused by that in the least.

"I don't expect a celebration." He seethed, glaring at me.

"Oh no, a present though may be in your future." I stated, his glare darkened. "Least you weren't born on Valentines day."

"Yes, thank Merlin for that." He replied simply, still giving me a stink eye.

"What?" I asked, smirking.

My smirk was removed when he spoke next. "Legilimens!" He stated, using his wand for added strength. He wasn't gentle, which hurt a lot more than it should...but I kinda deserved it...I was poking the bear after all. Blocking him out was harder when he was rough about it, if it was anyone else I would have been a bit more confident in myself; but this was Snape. A man I trusted, but still I had thoughts he didn't need to see, teenage girl stuff and what not. 'I need a vial of Menstrualis.' I sent it to him, successfully getting him out of my head.

His dark eyes narrowed. "Was that necessary?"

"Used my last vial this morning." I said with a shrug. "You also told me to use any technique I could."

Snape growled then, making me laugh slightly. "Don't get cheeky."

"I can't help it, it's a family trait." I replied, before sadness overtook my heart once again. 'Will I see my family again?' I was unaware my thoughts were sent.

"Ms. Malfoy." Snape called out to me. "Yes, you will see your family again."

"You seem so sure." I whispered, meeting his eye calmly.

Professor Snape looked away from me. "You are the Malfoy Princess, that won't ever change." He replied to me.

"You really think so?" I asked softly, taking note of Draco walking back into the room.

"Amelia, I may be mad at you for hiding something from me...even though I know you probably can't say….but you will always be a Malfoy just like Professor Snape said." My brother spoke calmly, before he moved to embrace me. "This year however, do not take how I treat you to heart….I have no choice but to-"

"Treat me like any other Gryffindor...or Muggleborn." I replied in understanding.

"That means, don't laugh when I call you mudblood." He replied, which gained a smile out of me.

"You can't enjoy it when I call you a brat either." I replied simply, but a little worried. "I love you Draco."

His gray eyes met my own. "I love you too, Amelia."

Kill me, just bloody kill me. Dolores Umbridge is the new Defense teacher, this was just great. The annoying pink cow caught my eye and she had the nerve to smile at me. After treating me so horribly, she was absolutely the worst person imaginable...and she was now my teacher. Least I thought she was, Professor Dumbledore however thought it best if I kept my studies with Professor Snape...thank Merlin the man had some common sense.

That didn't really matter, as I was back in the tower for good. It was the compromise apparently Dumbledore made with the Minister of Magic, I would be allowed to study under Snape...but I had to return to my dormitory. Small price to pay for a better education, so I really didn't mind.

"So, why didn't your mum want you to come back to Hogwarts, Seamus?" Dean suddenly asked, gaining my attention.

Potter, who surprisingly was sitting next to me spoke. "What?"

Seamus sighed. "Me mam didn't want me to come back to Hogwarts."

"Why?" I asked calmly.

"Because of Harry." He replied simply, and I immediately understood.

"What did I do?" Potter asked, confused, and he seemed a little hurt.

Seamus was silent for a moment, looking at me and then Potter. "She thinks you're lying about Voldemort being back, and that Dumbledore is a real nutter."

"Where did she get that?" I asked, right as Seamus handed us the profit. "The profit is lying."

"Why do you believe me?" Potter asked, and I went silent.

"I shouldn't, but I do." I replied simply, which his response was to get up and storm off.

Fred and George moved to my side, while the others stared at me. "We were sure you would be the one siding with the Prophet, after everything Potter has done to you and all."

I looked at them and sighed. "The prophet is wrong." With that I stood and followed after Potter. Why, I did not know as it was true I should be enjoying the pain the boy was going through; but I didn't. I didn't maybe because that wasn't who I was, or maybe it was because I had seen the truth before my own eyes.

"Swan, why did you follow me?" Potter asked, as I found him on top of the Astronomy tower.

"I believe you." I told him simply, wondering if this was me kissing up to Potter...or did I just want to do the right thing. "I can't tell you why, Dumbledore threatened to expel me if I did."

He looked at me strangely. "Why should I believe you, you're a Malfoy..and Malfoys are direct followers."

"Call me Swan." I told him calmly, which was exactly what my father told me to tell people. "I'm not a Malfoy anymore, why I don't know." I told him calmly, looking across the black lake in sadness. "I love my family, and they wish to keep me safe..in order to do that I have to retake the name Swan." I told him truthfully.

"Is it because your Muggleborn?" Potter asked.

"It could be Potter, or it could be for something entirely different." I told him simply, before I looked back at him. "I know you don't trust me, and it would be stupid of me to trust you...but call me an idiot as I believe and trust that you will do the right thing."

Potter seemed taken back, before he spoke. "Can I trust you?"

"That is up to you, Fred and George do...Granger and I don't hate each other anymore, so maybe that speaks to you. Who knows, but I would like us to bury the hatchet." I told him truthfully. "No more, treating each other like absolute garbage."

"I think I can do that." Potter spoke, before smiling. "You still have your snake?"

"Of course, Ghost is my familiar." I replied to him, before looking down. "Umbridge will probably get him sent back home though."

Potter met my eye. "Then we will have to get her removed from Hogwarts first."

"I like the way you think, Potter." I told him instantly.

"Sit with me tomorrow morning." He told me. "Your right, in these difficult times Gryffindor needs to unite."

"Not just Gryffindor, but the entire school needs to come together." I replied, before we left the tower. To walk back to our own together.

What was this, Amelia and Harry coming together because of Voldemort...who saw that coming?

Now, that might be difficult to swallow but Amelia is the key to Harry's success if you remember chapter 28, eventually they will have to get along. This doesn't make them friends, but Harry is slowly realizing he can trust Amelia.

Questions:

1) Will Umbridge try and stop Snape and Amelia's defense lessons?

2) Will Amelia follow Potter into Dumbledore's army?

3) Will Draco be able to push Amelia away, or will they find a way to still be civil and friendly without it being obvious?

Please answer the questions in the reviews, I look forward to reading them. :)
