I don't own Sailor Moon, nor did I create it. Naoko Takeuchi created Sailor Moon, this is just my alternate universe version, a sort of "If I created Sailor Moon" story...

CHAPTER 38: HOW I SPENT MY SUMMER VACATION #9
MEETING THE PARENTS, PART 1: JERRY
JULY 19, 1987
"So what do you and Usagi have planned for today?" Jerry Lee Logue asked Jerry, as he came downstairs after taking a shower and getting dressed.
"I'm not sure yet," Jerry said. "Anyways, how did you know we were going to spend time together, anyways?"
"You spend every day off with her," Jerry Lee said. "Besides, I talked to your mother, she said you and Usagi are definitely in love. She also told me something I find funny about the two of you. Now Usagi is the girl you used to have a crush on since we first moved here, right?"
"Yes," Jerry said.
"Your mom said that back in high school, Usagi's mom was friends with your uncle Tom," Jerry Lee said.
"That's kind of how Usagi and I got together," Jerry said. "Uncle Tom came down for the fourth, we went to Arthur's for breakfast, and just happened to run into Usagi and her mom there."
"Don't forget we're going out for breakfast as soon as she gets here" Jerry Lee asked.
"I'm going to pick her up just as soon as she calls," Jerry said.
"By the way," Bonnie said, handing Jerry a shoebox. "John dropped this off for you while you were in the shower. He said you'll know what it is."
Jerry opened the box, and found 250 $100 bills, bundled in stacks of 10. "Remember last Monday, when I was a few minutes late coming home from work, because John and I foiled a robbery attempt?" he said.
"Yeah," Bonnie said.
"Turns out the guy who tried to rob the place was wanted for murder in Dallas, and the state of Texas was offering a cash reward for his capture. This is my half."
"How much is there?" Bonnie asked.
"Twenty-five grand," Jerry said. "Guess that means breakfast is on me, as well as lunch and dinner."
"If you're buying," Jerry Lee said, "where would you like to go? That is, if you'd rather go somewhere rather than Keno's."
"Keno's is good," Jerry said, as he went to his room and hid the shoebox in his sock drawer, first removing a bundle of bills."
"So where did you get money, anyways?" Jerry Lee asked.
"That robbery John and I foiled last week," Jerry said. "Turns out there was a reward for the capture for the guy we caught."
"Usagi's on the phone," Bonnie said, as Jerry came downstairs.
"Thanks," Jerry said, taking the phone receiver. "Hello, ma petite Lapine," he said.
"Hi Googie Bear," Usagi said. "Mind coming over and walking me back to your house?"
"I'll be there in a few minutes," Jerry said "I love you."
"I love you," Usagi said, as she hung up.
"I'll be back in a few minutes," Jerry said. "I'm picking up Usagi, we're going to walk back here and grab my bike."
"Why not pick her up on your motorcycle?" Bonnie asked.
"She likes walking with me," Jerry said.
Jerry walked to Usagi's house. "She'll be right down," Shingo said, as he answered the door. "Why don't you come in and have a seat?"
"Okay," Jerry said.
A minute later, Usagi came down. "You ready to go?" she asked.
"Ready as I'll ever be," Jerry said. They walked back to his house. "I'm beginning to see why you like walking with me," he said, putting his arm around her shoulders.
"I like being on your motorcycle," Usagi said. "But there's just something about walking with you, your arm around my shoulder, or my hand in yours."
"I just like being with you," Jerry said. "If you had a Siamese twin, I'd be insanely jealous of her."
"And why's that?" Usagi asked.
"Because she would be with you 24/7," Jerry said. "I'm not."
"Too bad you can't be my Siamese twin," Usagi said.
"I know," Jerry said, giving Usagi a kiss.
A few minutes later, they were back at Jerry's house. They got on Jerry's motorcycle, and went to Keno's, a restaurant in Anaheim Hills. They rode mostly down Imperial Highway, turning left on La Palma, and taking it the rest of the way. They met up with Jerry Lee and Bonnie, and were quickly seated. Jerry got chicken fried steak and eggs, with hash browns and pancakes, with orange juice and coffee, while Usagi got a burger patty and eggs, with hash browns and sourdough toast, orange juice, and coffee. Jerry Lee got sausage and eggs, with hash browns and wheat toast with coffee and orange juice, while Bonnie got a Denver omelet, with hash browns, and English muffin, with coffee and orange juice. As promised, Jerry took care of the bill, and left a $200 tip.
After breakfast, Jerry and Usagi went back to Jerry's house. Usagi had worn a strapless one piece bathing suit with a miniskirt over it to the restaurant, so she and Jerry went swimming in his pool.. They swam for a few hours only taking a break when Bonnie put out some tortilla chips and beefy cheese dip and sodas in lieu of lunch, due to having a late breakfast. "Don't forget we're going out for dinner tonight," Bonnie said. "Your dad was thinking Tony Roma's, he feels like ribs tonight."
"Sounds good," Jerry said. "Don't forget, though, I'm paying. Is it okay if Usagi comes?
"If you're paying, you can invite anyone you want," Bonnie said
"Mind if I call my mom and let her know?" Usagi asked.
"Of course," Bonnie said.
Usagi went to the kitchen, and called home, to let her mom know she would be going out for dinner with Jerry, as well as where they were going. "My mom said it was okay," Usagi said. "I brought a change of clothes, is there anywhere I can change?"
"You can use Debra's room," Jerry said. "I'll take you up there, I was going to grab a shower and change myself."
"Mind if I grab a shower as well?" Usagi asked.
"Show her where the towels are," Bonnie said.
Jerry led Usagi upstairs, to where the bedrooms were. At the top of the stairs, they turned left. "Bathroom is on your left, Debra's room is right across the hall. Towels are in the cabinet next to the bathroom. There's soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathroom. You can take a shower first, I'll take mine when you're done. There are two doors at the end of the hall, my room is the one on the left, just knock on the door when you're done."
"Okay," Usagi said. She went in the bathroom, and took a quick shower, and when she was done, she came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body. When she came out, she knocked on Jerry's bedroom door. "It's all yours," Usagi said.
"I'll just give you a few seconds to get back to Debra's room," Jerry said. He then went to the bathroom, after counting to 20. He took a quick shower, mostly to wash the chlorine out of his hair. After he finished his shower, he dried off, and brushed his hair. He then wrapped a towel around his waist, and went to his bedroom, where he got dressed. He put on a pair of blue jeans shorts, a heather gray Maui and Sons T-shirt, socks, and a pair of white leather Reebok high tops with a Velcro strap across each ankle. When Usagi came out of Debra's bedroom, she was wearing a pink top worn off the shoulders, faded blue slim cut jeans cuffed just below the knee, and white leather sandals.
After they took a shower and got dressed, Usagi and Jerry went downstairs to the den, where they watched TV, while Jerry Lee and Bonnie got ready. "What do you want to watch?" Jerry asked.
"It doesn't matter," Usagi said.
"Okay," Jerry said, turning the TV on, and turning the channel to MTV. As he turned it on, they played Heart and Soul" by T'Pau.
"I love this song," Usagi said.
"Me too," Jerry said.
They watched until Jerry Lee and Bonnie were ready to go, watching several videos they liked, such as "Breakout" by Swing Out Sister, "Girls, Girls, Girls" by Mötley Crüe, "Lady in Red" by Chris DeBurgh, "The Living Daylights" by a-ha, "Into the Night" by Frehley's Comet, "I Want Your Sex" by George Michael, "Alone" by Heart, "You Keep Me Hanging On" by Kim Wilde, and "Funkytown" by Pseudo Echo, among others. After a while, Jerry Lee and Bonnie were ready. "We're going to the one on Harbor and Orangethorpe," Jerry Lee said.
"We'll meet you there," Jerry said. Jerry and Usagi got on Jerry's motorcycle, and rode down to the restaurant. They took Imperial Highway to State College Boulevard, turning left, and turning right on Orangethorpe Avenue, which they rode all the way to Harbor Boulevard, where Tony Roma's was. When they arrived, they met up with Jerry Lee and Bonnie. Jerry got a large serving of beef ribs with hickory brown sugar barbecue sauce, along with a salad with 1000 island, baked potato with extra butter and cheese, and corn on the cob. Usagi got a half rack of baby back ribs with honey mesquite sauce, along with a salad with ranch, fries, and corn on the cob, and both her and Jerry got iced tea.
"I'm glad you came with us to dinner tonight," Jerry Lee said. "This place is a bit quieter than Keno's for breakfast, I kind of wanted to know you a little better. I noticed since you two started dating, he's had a spring in his step he hasn't had in a while. I never thought I would ever see him happy. But it seems like you were exactly what he needed in his life."
"He seems like a good guy who had some bad breaks," Usagi said.
"You could say that," Jerry Lee said. "It's not my place to talk about it, but there was something that happened a few years back."
"I'd rather not talk about it here," Jerry said.
"I understand," Usagi said.
"Anyways," Jerry Lee said, "When I found out he had a girlfriend, I was a bit surprised. I mean, this is my son we're talking about. Girls has never been his strong suit. But when Steve told me the girl next door told him Jerry had a girlfriend, I didn't believe it. I asked her, she said she saw you two, and you looked happy together, and when she left she saw your motorcycle in the parking lot, and she couldn't mistake that."
At that moment, their salads arrived. "I can't really explain what I see in Jerry," Usagi said. "I love him, and that's enough for me. Sometimes, I don't know what he saw in me in the first place. I mean, I'm not exactly Christie Brinkley or Paulina Porizkova."
"I didn't fall in love with Christie Brinkley or Paulina Porizkova," Jerry said. "I fell in love with Usagi Tsukino. She's the most kindhearted person I have ever met. If you ask me, she might see herself as flawed, but I see her as perfect."
"That's what I love about him," Usagi said. "He sees past my imperfections. He sees me as more than a pretty face, but as a kindhearted soul."
After a bit, their waitress took their salad plates, and a few minutes later, brought their entrees. When Jerry got his plate, he grabbed a roll and a couple pats of butter, put them on his roll, and used them to butter his corn, as well as butter his roll. Usagi got some ranch dressing for her fries, which she mixed with a little hickory brown sugar barbecue sauce. While they ate, they talked some more. "Do you have any plans for after high school?" Bonnie asked.
"I'll probably end up going to Fullerton College," Usagi said. "I'll start out there, and then transfer somewhere, probably Cal State Fullerton."
"I'm thinking of enlisting in the military after high school," Jerry said.
"I thought you wanted to go to film school," Jerry Lee said.
"I'm still planning on going to film school," Jerry said. "If I do enlist, I can go to film school on the GI Bill. But that's not the main reason I want to enlist."
"Why do you want to enlist?" Usagi asked.
"Something John Kennedy said in his inaugural address," Jerry said. "He said "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." I figure giving Uncle Sam a few years of my life is something I can do for my country."
"That's a good way to look at it," Jerry Lee said.
"And if being a filmmaker doesn't pan out," Jerry said, "I can learn a trade in the military."
"It's good you have a backup plan," Bonnie said.
"There's no guarantee I'll be the second coming of Steven Spielberg or Martin Scorsese," Jerry said. "Or even Francois Truffaut. But I can guarantee you one thing, I won't have to make a living bagging groceries. Of course, I may end up making a career out of the military, you never know."
As they finished eating dinner, their waitress came by to take their dirty dishes and leave the bill. Jerry picked it up, and as they left, he left $200 as a tip. "You two coming right home?" Jerry Lee asked.
"If nobody objects," Jerry said, "I was thinking Usagi and I were going to Disneyland for a few hours."
"I don't mind," Jerry Lee said. "What about Usagi's parents."
"I called already," Usagi said. "My mom said it was okay."
"We'll be waiting for you to get home," Bonnie said.
As they left, Jerry and Usagi got on the back of Jerry's bike, and went to Disneyland. The first ride they went on was PeopleMover, where Jerry stole a kiss as they went through Space Mountain. Next, they went on America Sings, followed by taking the Skyway to Fantasyland. In Fantasyland, they went on Casey Junior Circus Train, they sat in the caboose, in the rear facing seat. Next, they went on It's a Small World, and went to Videopolis where they danced to a couple songs. Afterwards, they went on Peter Pan's Flight, and then went for dessert to the Carnation ice cream parlor on Main Street, where they got ice cream, and ate it while walking up Main Street, where they took a romantic late night cruise on the Mark Twain, and took one last ride on Jungle Cruise before calling it a night. They stopped at the candy store on Main Street, where they bought fudge with walnuts and pecan logs. They rode home, Jerry parking his motorcycle in his garage. When he got home, Jerry Lee and Bonnie were watching TV. "I'm going to go walk Usagi home," Jerry said. "I'll be back in a few minutes."
"Okay," Jerry Lee said.
Jerry and Usagi walked to Usagi's house, holding hands. "I had fun today," Usagi said. "Of course, I spent the whole day with you."
"That was the best part," Jerry said. "Spending the day with you. I'd spend all day watching paint dry just to spend it with you. And I'd be happy, because I love you."
"And I love you," Usagi said. "You have tomorrow off from work, right?"
"Yeah," Jerry said. "I work Tuesday through Friday, a full 8 hour shift each day."
"Good," Usagi said. "My parents want to take you out for lunch tomorrow. Nothing fancy, they were talking Sizzler."
"I love that place," Jerry said, as they arrived at Usagi's house.
"Good," Usagi said. "Meet me here about 11."
"I'll be there," Jerry said, as he walked Usagi to the door. Before she opened the door, she kissed Jerry good night. "I love you," Jerry said, as Usagi opened the door and went in the house.
"I love you," Usagi said, as she closed the door.
